Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Windsor – 2024

Went here for the first time, we all ordered something different. Fries are the best! They have a good crunch and the right amount of salt! Turkey Burger and build your own burger beef, lettuce and chipotle mayo. The burgers seem small for us at 4 oz probably should have got the bigger one. We didn’t like the burgers but our service was great

Amazing food! We were in town from across the river and decided to stop here. Might have been the best burger I've ever had. I got a double and couldn't finish my meal. And trust me when I say I can EAT. Every single ingredient was noticeably fresh. The staff was amazing and the entire place was very well-run. We will be returning! We've already discussed crossing the border JUST to grab burgers here

This place was beautiful and the food was amazing! They have perfectly fried and crunchy pickle spears and onion rings. I had “THE DADDY MAC” and OMG! Absolutely amazing, the flavor was phenomenal and the customer service was outstanding. I also had the Blue Long Island Iced Tea and that was also superb!

This is a casual restaurant. The food was tasty but the pasta was not even close to being hot enough. The portions were large. The server was great. She was friendly and informative.

Very good food, good portions and reasonable prices. Always enjoy Hungry Wolf whether its take out or dine in. Today we stopped in for some nachos. They were great and they layer them to spread out the toppings. The service is always nice and friendly. The gyros are one of my favourites in the city.

Staff has a great vibe and are all working hard - i got takeout, I was early to pick up and they had it ready in no time for me. I like how the girl double checked my order before sending me off with it. The food, i was impressed. One of the best gyros i have had in the city. Potatoes delicious, everything so good. My experience was fantastic and I will definitely be back for more! Thank you!

I went with a friend on Monday evening. I sat at a table by the wall on the second floor, and the male server was in charge. He was really nice and professional. We asked how our beer and food was and kept checking. We drank about three cups of IPA and ordered some extra food against his efforts and the atmosphere here. It was a very satisfying experience. I chose the 25% tip with great pleasure. Thank you so much.

Great sports pub! Good drinks and great food, they are a busy place, and that isn't a surprise considering the food and service are excellent. The jalapeño cheddar dip and spinach and artichoke dip were phenomenal, and they made their own fried pita dippers . They are soft and warm but slightly crisp and so addictive! Will definitely go again next time I'm in Canada.

So far the best wings spot in Windsor. Known for its wacky flavours and mixed drinks. This place is a vide in itself. I have been here twice and it has never disappointed. Great service and a lot of space, the food is amazing please check it out. I’d def recommend s/o Ryan

As always, my dining experience at Nico’s on Erie Street (Via Italia) last night was a real pleasure! This time I was with the Ontario Wine Society for a ‘sold out’ event. The delicious food prepared in Nico’s kitchen paired so well with the 7 wines we sampled. The portions were generous and left us all filled and completely satisfied. The servers at Nico’s were wonderful too, and they managed to keep the wine flowing and water glasses filled while they cleared plates to serve each successive course. The decor is high end stylish and the seats are so comfortable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Did a chefs tasting dinner, Waiter and host were phenomenal, fresh plates and cutlery for each course, pasta dish was layered in flavors, seafood on point, strongly recommend the cocktails.

Nico’s was an amazing experience. The drinks were amazing and the atmosphere was absolutely elegant. I really enjoyed this establishment 4/5 Flames and will definitely be back again!

What a charming restaurant and a lovely atmosphere that sent me to the rat pack era. As a gluten free dairy free individual, the restaurant catered to my needs and served up the best pasta I’ve ever had hands down. Our server Chris was a delight and very kind and attentive. It was the perfect meal for after a long travelling workday and I was so pleased with the ambience (felt very suave). 10/10 eatery!

Always a safe bet going to La Guardia. Restaurant was fully booked but they let us book a spot at the bar which worked for us. Bartender was super busy but still friendly and never made us feel rushed. Arancini and calamari were great as was the espresso martini. If you're in downtown Windsor looking for a great place to eat that's also reasonably priced you can't go wrong with La Guardia.

My wife and I hadn't planned and eating here but popped in off the street on a whim. Although we were in tank tops and felt out of place, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and Patrick, our server, was fantastic, engaging, attentive, and knowledgeable. Food was excellent and I can definitely understand all the comments from return customers. I had the veal and my wife had their current chicken special we were both very pleased with our meal.

We absolutely love this place.We ordered breakfast and the service was impeccable.Our service was extremely fast and the food was served hot.The restaurant was very cosy and inviting. I highly recommend Uptown Restaurant to my family and friends.

Went here for a group breakfast with a group of about 10 people and must say, this place was amazing! Love the old time charm and the friendly service as soon as we walked in. We had luggage with us and they were really accommodating. Plus, the portion sizes are HUGE. 10/10 spot that I would recommend to anyone visiting Windsor.

I’ve been here many times. It’s always great. They switched owners, but it hasn’t really changed at all. If you like a hot breakfast get the skillet. It stays hot and is so fulling I could barely finished my Greek skillet. I even love the bread they use to make rye toast. Service is always very good as well. Definitely a Windsor staple.

had to wait a while to be seated for brunch on a Saturday but glad we did because we were sat outside and it was so nice! The patio is perfect and enclosed. The food is delicious. Our server was called Noella and she was absolutely lovely! I can’t even remember what I ordered but it was very good. I loved the fusion and variety of the meals. We all really enjoyed our food & the kids colouring paper was so cute - the prize at the end is a sweet touch

My favorite brunch spot in Windsor never disappoints! This time, we decided to stop by spontaneously without a reservation. Although the estimated wait time was 25 minutes for indoor seating, we were seated in just 10 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise ( on a Sunday ). The wait for outdoor seating was even shorter—only about 5 minutes or immediate. I highly recommend trying their boozy coffee options—they're always spot-on. For a change, we went with sandwiches this time and ordered the crispy chicken and black bean burger. This place is vegan-friendly, offering a great variety of options, including Beyond Meat. If you're getting the sandwiches, I definitely suggest asking for the hot sauce and cheddar sauce on the side. The staff here are super friendly and even help you with picking the perfect dish if you are confused. Parking: There's a pay-and-park lot right across from Twisted Apron, and you also have the option to park on nearby streets or side roads.

I recently visited Twisted Apron and had an amazing experience, thanks to our server, Lisa. She was attentive, warm, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Lisa went above and beyond to recommend great options and even checked in frequently to ensure we were happy with our meals. The food was delicious, and Lisa’s excellent service made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommend stopping by and asking for her if you want a great experience! :)

Decided to try the take out service from Spago last night. We always enjoy the food from Spago, but the take out service was chaotic. I had to wait 1/2 hour in a tiny room with many other customers. No seats. The staff were obviously overwhelmed and would not speak to me. When my order finally came out, it was laid on the floor, as there was no room on the small countertop. The food turned out to be good overall. The salad was disappointing though, just a handful of lettuce. There must have been a mistake on the bread allowance - just 4 tiny pieces for a family meal order (see picture) We will dine in at Spago in the future, but not take out.

Great customer service! I had an issue with my to-go order. The owner reach out to me, directly, and reimbursed me for more than my order was worth. He explained the food quality was not to their standard and wanted to reconcile this error. I think that speaks volumes on the type of customer service this restaurant offers. Shows the integrity of the business. I was impressed.

I booked my wedding shower at Spago's the Dougall location and it was FANTASTIC. The service was absolutely amazing. The food was to die for. I still have ladies calling me raving about the food. The restaurant its self was perfect. I had a beauty and the beast themed shower, and all the decor that was in the restaurant with some added decorations from us, it was spot on. I would definitely recommend Spago's for events they are amazing and easy to work with.

First time visit. Heading back home to Indiana, and we wanted some authentic Lebanese food, and Eddy's was well-reviewed. It certainly did not disappoint: the food was outstanding. My wife, daughter and I agreed that they had the best falafel we've eaten. The entrees were all fresh made and of superior quality. The hummus was incredibly delicious. We won't be frequenting the restaurant because of our location, but we will definitely stop by again if ever in Windsor. Well done!

Eddy's was amazing! Great, quiet atmosphere. Delicious food and quick service. We had the BBQ platter and it was excellent. Three of us shared and went home with a little bit of leftovers. Delicious re-heated the next day too. I'll definitely be back.

Great Mediterranean food. Authentic, Delicious and cook to order. We love the ambience as well. We were near by this area and crave for Mediterranean food and found this amazing restaurant. Good portion of plates, worth the price and good for 2 people on single serve. Crew was nice and gently. This place was good calming vibe and we enjoyed our time spend here. They have free parking as well. Yes, we recommend this place . Must eat again!!

We really enjoyed our overall experience here. The gyros were moist and flavorful and the Greek salad was delicious as well. When we are craving gyros this will be our go to restaurant!!!

This is a nice family restaurant with friendly atmosphere, lovely greek music and excellent food. We had a quick lunch with our daughters and really enjoyed taste of freshly homemade dishes. Nice simplicity of decoration is emphasized by neatness and good service. The prices are greatly affordable. Highly recommend to those who appreciate the best combination of quality and price. Food was really good, the gyro had flavourful and it was delicious. French fries were nice and crispy and the service was quick. Food came in quick as well. For sure be back!!

Thanks to the guidance of the friendly staff, I was able to taste many kinds of food and had a great atmosphere for the family to have dinner with. My child loved the lip and described the ice cream cake as the best. The lemonade with the food was also refreshingly delicious

This is a nice place with a nice big bar but I won’t be returning and it’s very disappointing. First off the staff of young pretty women are pleasant initially but give pretty shitty service. They are too busy socializing and couldn’t care less if you need anything. They did not care when my beer glass was empty. As for the food. It is lousy for the price. My salmon was the worst I’ve ever had and it cost me $27 which is a total rip off. It was so overcooked and sat on top of plain boring white rice. The chimichanga was also terrible. Mostly dough with no flavor. What a total disappointment.

First time here with my wife. Shout out to Ninos our server. Fantastic young man, very professional and knowledgable about food. Very reasonable prices ample parking, amazing ambiance indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered full rack of ribs & Shrimp Bisque linguine and wings were awesome! Looking forward to seeing him again hopefully we receive the same. Great experience whether it’s Ninos or someone else.

Not sure I understand the hype of this restaurant. Second time dining here. The food was not worth the price. The pasta itself was nice and well cooked but the sauces were on mediocre lines. Our server was very nice but I do have to say the service was surprisingly slow even after the dinner rush. One of the popular drinks, I was told was the old smoke, and it was overly sweet and didn't have much smoke. The desserts were nothing to brag about and the base of the Tiramisu was over soaked that it started to taste bitter. I would give it another go to try the Carbonara and the Tagliatelle.

I rented the room for a private family dinner and I can’t say enough about the food and service. Matt was so accommodating in getting it arranged and our waitress Jen was absolutely amazing. Easily above and beyond. Chef came out and we gave him a round of applause because of how incredible the food was. I whole heartedly recommend Mezzo to anyone wanting a private dinner. As well as the 5 course meal option! Thank you Jen for everything last night! You because one of the family very quickly.

Extremely disappointing. Our drinks were small & poorly made for the price. The Old Smoke had no smoke, however the one delivered at the table next to us looked much better. After our cold, burnt bruschetta, it was over 45 minutes until our entrees arrived, & we watched every table around us getting bread. When our entrees came, I had to ask about the bread, which was brought after, & that was the last time we saw our server. My ravioli had raw bacon & undercooked sun-dried tomatoes, which made it very chewy. My boyfriend enjoyed his fettuccini, but we ran out of water half way through our meal. Our waitress did not come to check on us at all after the meals were delivered, the guy who came to clear our plates offered to box up the chewy bacon & sun-dried tomatoes, I advised they weren’t properly cooked. Also, real Parmesan matters, if you’re an Italian restaurant. The manager came over at the end & apologized, & took a drink off, but it was too late, & still $118 for two pasta dishes, one drink, & bruschetta. This was not my first time, but might be my last.

Table was not ready when I arrived at the time of my reservation, however the service was exceptional. We really enjoyed our wines and pasta. Great limoncello

Absolutely wonderful and yummy food, a very nice and bright waiter, and a lovely atmosphere. When I'm back in Windsor I will return!

Delicious food, brick oven pizzas! We got the Coco and espresso martini for our drinks, very tasty. Bread came with garlic and olive oil, very fluffy and fresh. We got the calamari with lemon garlic aioli for our appetizer, yum! I got the chicken parmigiano for my entree, not sure what the name is of what my boyfriend ordered but it was also delicious. Loved the pizza! Great quality sauce and cheese, definitely best pizza in town. Good staff, definitely gives an Italian vibe.

My husband and I brought our nieces here for brunch last weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Loved the red velvet pancakes, but wished there were more strawberries added to the dish. Loved my iced coffee; I think it’s my favourite

If there ever was a brunch experience that is fairly priced and unforgettable, this is it. There are so many good things about this place. Mostly is the excellent hospitality right along side the amazingly good food. The entire menu is available during operating hours, so this is a fantastic option for groups where someone may prefer lunch instead of breakfast or breakfast instead of lunch. I suggest you go here with the intention of relaxing and enjoing a well prepared meal. This is not Tim Horton's style dining.

This was hands down, a very delicious and wonderful experience. We started off by ordering off of the Prix Fixe menu for an appetizer, entree and dessert. We got bread and butter for the table, ordered a cocktail(chocolate martini) and beer, and received our salads. Everything was delicious so far!! We received our entrees and I ordered the 6oz Steak with my choice of starch( I ordered the Mac and cheese) and my partner ordered the Pecan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes. Both were amazing. Steak was cooked medium rare and my goodness it was mighty and juicy. The chicken was very sweet and I would order it next time. Dessert was tiramisu and their staple Strawberry Flambe on French vanilla ice cream. It was DELICIOUS. Will be going back for sure!!!

My husband and I went to the Take Five Bistro for the first time, last evening for our wedding anniversary. Safe to say, it's the best steakhouse in Windsor!! We had escargot and beef Wellington for apps. Omg, YUM! Then the mixed grill and peppercorn steak as entrees. Again both so delicious!! Seriously the best in town!! The service by Gordan was incredible. He was pleasant and attentive! It's obvious he is great asset to Take Five Bistro. Overall our dining experience was 5 stars and we can't wait to go back!

Been looking forward to trying this restaurant. Brad, our server, was terrific! Food was good. The restaurant is very loud and was quite warm.
