Want food for the soul? Here's the little tuck in a quiet corner next to the Church and managed by its members. You can't get more southern than this one. Had Trout and Fried chicken, both crispy out and moisture in. Side, Okra and Collard Green the best I had. I'm not a fan of Okra but this one didn't disappoint. Good hardworking folks dedicated to serving the best food for the community. Note it operates 3 days a week and lunch only.

Taste and See that the Lord is Good, Psalms 34:8... Y'all this is some Good Ole Country Cooking! I literally ate everything on my plate. This was my 1st time ever eating here and I'm sooo glad I stumbled upon it! Seriously, haven't had a good plate of soul food in quite some time and this hit every spot! 1st plate was fried chicken that was absolutely delicious, homemade potato salad like the kind your grandma would make, and fresh turnip greens served with fresh hush puppies on the side. The 2nd meal was hamburger steak smothered in fresh gravy with onions and it came with rice , Candied yams on the side, fresh corn, and hush pups. The staff was very polite, helpful, and friendly. The Prices were Very Reasonable and they can easily charge a couple more dollars per plate if the quality stays Consistent, because it's seriously good cooking. Long story short... Eat Here and Enjoy!

We was referred here by some men while at Freds store. The service was professional and food was delicious where we took food home. Good soul home cooked food that you at growing up and well seasoned. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to others.

A pleasant surprise while visiting relatives in Wilson. It was a little cramped on a busy Saturday evening and the fried fish was tasteless but those are the only complaints. The service was attentive and other than the fish, the food was tasty well worth the price.

Come try the Friday seafood buffet beginning at 4 pm. You won’t be disappointed!! Fried fish, deviled crab, shrimp boil, crab cakes, shrimp Alfredo, baked salmon, clam strips, cheese garlic bread and of course their usual buffet options. Hurry seats fill up quickly.

My first time dining in at this restaurant, my husband and I dined in for lunch. We were out looking for a good buffet, and my husband recommended here. The food was delicious, full of flavor I had stuffing, which was absolutely delicious. I haven't had stuffing so good since my husband's mother's 5 years ago at Christmas when the yams were also delicious and had a good sweet taste the roast and potatoes over rice nice flavor as well. If you're looking for a good country cooking buffet, I recommend coming here . Let's get to the banana pudding it was not the best. I like my pudding at a certain consistency to me it was too slimy and not enough. The Pudding had a good temperature, but it just wasn't good. The consistency wasn't there for me .

We got a funny tasting burger. Wasn't 100% sure what was it the bun or the butter they add on top. But you could smell it while you bit in the burger so I started taking off the toasted part but even the parts that was the bun that wasn't toasted tasted weird. But we were more finish to even complain to the staff. So we just left. Aside from that if you are trying to get new staff, do show them how to cook thoroughly the patty because it still was pink. I use to go often because we never had issues and the meat was always fully cooked.

This is the GREATEST Burger and fries in town!!! I cannot eat gluten and this is one of the few places in Wilson where I can eat! They do a great job with making sure my burger isn't contaminated with gluten while keeping it delicious. They are so polite and nice there and they make you feel like you are a family member. It is also very clean!

Staying in Wilson for the weekend and needed a bite to eat. I decided on burgers out of all the amazing places to choose from. Low and behold, I chose the best of them all. Wayback Burgers has out done them selves to satisfy my palette. I ordered the bacon burger, it was to die for. The buns were toasty and warm. The lettuce and tomatoes and pickles were all vibrant and crisped and cool. The bacon was the perfect amount of season and crackle. The burgers were cooked as if they were made for the Gods. The cheese dripping down the smashed patties left delightful little cheese drops on the decorative plated paper cradles. My mouth was left watering after finishing the burger, longing for another bite, but alas my stomach was stuffed. 6 stars would be given if I could have selected that option. 10/10 would return. Amazing. We were originally going elsewhere but there was a 45m wait, then we saw this in the same parking lot and gave it a shot. I got the Evil Noodles (duh) and my daughter got Tuna with rice shaped like a turtle. The "as spicy as you can make it" turned out to be "not very spicy", but the flavor was wonderful.

OMG!! This is the best Thai food we've found since moving here from Oregon last year! It actually tastes like Thai food!! And they have Thai iced coffee!!! Sorry, I'm screaming, I'm just so seriously happy right now. Thank you so much for existing!!! We will be back!

The pineapple fried rice is heavenly. The best fried rice ever. The flavors are abundant and very fresh. Service is good and restaurant is nice and well maintained. Great food and they have sushi. The California roll was fair.

My husband and I went breakfast and everything was great even though they were changing over from breakfast to lunch. They allowed us to order breakfast and everything was made to order and fresh. A couple was eating at the table across from us and when the waitress brought the bill it had paid in full on it . She said the gentleman paid our bill but the couple had left. Such a nice jester. It’s good to know there are still kind people in this world. It really made our day

Food portions were generous and delicious except the pork tenderloin was over salty. Took almost an hour to get our food on a Wednesday morning. The bathroom wAs clean but the commode and the bathroom was too tiny to be handicapped accessible.

Visited for buffet breakfast and if you’re a pork lover this is the place for you. Options are limited for everything else. The cheese eggs are a winner!

Sometimes less is more! Simple menu, Ribeye, baked potato, salad bar. The steak was one of the best I've ever had. Service and atmosphere were excellent!!

So we were looking for a place to eat in the one place we wanted to go to was close. Thank God because you never can judge a book by its cover. I had by far achieved 1of the best steaks I've ever had. There is no menu when you sit down at the table. The chef or cook comes out to your table & and asks how thick you want your steak? It comes with baked grilled and baked I'm glad we only got the 8oz We still have enough leftovers 1 meal each. It's a little pricey but well worth the detour. BTW, I don't think the steaks were 8oz it looked a lot bigger.

Excellent cut of meat cooked perfectly. The salad bar has a huge selection and was great. The staff did an amazing job as well.

Wow, this place exceeded my expectations. While on layover, I enjoyed an amazing experience! Walking into the door, this place was somewhat full for a late lunch! Where to start, I had a layover with Amtrak and happen to see that this was an option! The host and waiter were extremely friendly and helpful! Wow was I impressed with the homemade cocktail (the Seltzers were great especially the Apple Hard Seltzers)! Then comes to the menu, easy to use and man was the food was off chain! I chose the special which was a Sweet Pimento Cheeseburger and a guest patron told me to get the tots! Wow was the food cooked to expectation! From friendly conversations with the locals and the staff, I’ll gladly come back! Thank you R&D for a great experience! 5 out of 5!

I've never had a burger with a drier top bun. Look, no dressings on the top bun. These burgers are dry, under-flavored and overpriced. $60 for 2 people on a Tuesday is too expensive for me. Burgers, fries, Brussel sprouts, & sodas.

I’ve been a very big fan of Ruckus ever since my husband and I moved initially moved to Wilson in July 2021. I have recommended it to friends and co workers ever since because the burgers are quality, the drinks are on point and the servers have always been so sweet! That is until tonight, where my groups server, Katie, was a major buzz kill. I’m not sure if she was in a bad mood but after our first round of drinks and a couple appetizers, my friends wanted a round of tequila shots/2 oz pours . Katie then informed us that she could not allow us to take our shots in one big sip due to “liquor laws”. My friend and I, being former serves/bartenders, were very confused by this. We had never been told this previously, odd because a whiskey shot & PBR is a menu option. When I asked her if something had changed, she said that’s how it’s always been. She recommended a different bar, if we wanted to take “shots”. It’s not like we were asking for multiple rounds. We just wanted a single round. My table after that were off put since we didn’t know if we were being treated differently for some other motive or…? Next time we’ll simply go somewhere else that doesn’t make up laws just to avoid us from drinking. What an odd thing to do and put a major downer on the rest of our night.

My family and I drove an hour to come here. It was the best food and dining experience. The soup, mofongo, aguacate salad, and pernil were Delicious! The owner and staff were super friendly. We felt like we were at home. The music was great, too. You will not regret it and money well spent too! Thank you Punta Cana restaurant!

Delicioso! Amazing food! First time I came to this restaurant. Local friends recommended it. Elaisa was our waitress and she was awesome. Super kind and friendly. She made this Puerto Rican feel at home. Food was incredible. Empanadas de pollo! Uffff! Mamposteao rice and the smoked pork chops to die for!!!! Churrasco, arroz, habichuelas and fried plantains! Tostadas con mantequilla y ajo! Oh y el jugo de parcha!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. I’m definitely driving 46 minutes again to keep trying their wonderful menu! Gracias por tan deliciosa experiencia!!!!

Purchased take out lunch. The amount of food was very reasonable but the flavor of the food was disappointing. The blandest Dominican food I have ever had. If they added some sofrito, I may try them again in the future.

I ordered three meals to go. One meal was entirely wrong. It’s so chaotic in the pick-up area that it’s hard to check things there like requested. I ordered for myself the seafood platter. I will say the only thing I liked on it was the shrimp. It was all very soggy because of how it was packaged together. I would not order from here again.

Very disappointed. I would give a negative star if I could. I took pictures to prove my point. What is this drummets? I ordered 20 pieces of chicken which cost me $34 and ended up with a bunch of fried baby birds. This is what we're doing now charging customers an arm and a leg for this? It was a waste of money and gas. If I wanted drummet size chicken I would've went to the grocery store. However, I grew up on Parkers chicken being freshly fried with the greasy bags and fresh corn sticks. This afternoon, after ordering 20 pieces of chicken it was ready in less than 3 minutes. I'm thinking I'm going to get fresh hot chicken and cornsticks because they were not busy at all, but instead I received warmish cool baby birds that looked like it's been siting for hours and tasteless on top of it. Not a happy camper right now because I feel like I'm eating finger food on top of the fact their ATM machine charge a $3 fee. Lastly, I compared a baby potato and their Texas Pete hot sauce packet next to the chicken so everyone can see the size of what I got. Parkers is not the same anymore. I use to brag about their chicken but not anymore. With a lot of these restaurants we're paying more for less food and it's ridiculous.

Always heard about this place. Happened to drive by and stopped. Totally lived up to the hype! Food was great, server was nice, and the bathrooms were clean. Family run and very welcoming. Good vibes! Some of the best BBQ I've had! FYI bring cash. They don't accept debit or credit cards.

This location is by far better than the Roanoke Rapids location! Friendly service every time and great food! I will drive 4 hours just to eat seafood at this location, it is worth the drive every time.

The crab legs were quite a letdown...... very little meat, which means either not in season or frozen for extended time. The cooking style was good though, with little cajun spice to kick it up. Suggest other items on the menu.

Very Customer Service oriented staff, food was overall very good and the portions were very generous, you'll most definitely get a bang for your buck... finally the prices are Excellent! I highly recommend visiting.

Just eat some turkey wings with yams and rice(soup rice).the turkey wings taste not bad ,but rice is way over cook. It's like eating oatmeal. The kitchen is not suitable for cooking. Right now my stomach is bubbling,maybe the is from day before. Damn..

The food is expensive and you have to pay extra for a drink I got to plates which was supposed to be 9.99 with one meat and 2 sides and one meat with one side for 6.99 but I was over charged and they forgot to put my cabbage on my plate and my banana pudding on the side… this was my first time coming here and the total was a whopping 36.62 when it should have been 21.00 plus tax but I said never again I will not step foot back into that restaurant again… the rice is soupy I thought rice is supposed to be dry any…the best thing was the turkey wing ever thing else was nasty.

Great people - Great service and great food. I had the rib dinner with Mac & cheese and collard greens. The food was excellent - I would highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone who loves good southern cooking.

Wow! Just Wow! This place was such a lovely surprise! The food was the best we have had since leaving the west coast! Vanessa, our server was impeccable. Atmosphere was festive and fun. Most fantastic birria, tacos, and torta in the whole state! Will definitely be back!

Display of food great. Tasted... like it came out of a box. Waitress assumed... so she gets a 1 star as well... asked for a Premier. GOT A EXTRA. THIS CANNOT BE AUTHENTIC FOOD.

The food was very good. They always have good portions and fresh food. They have a good variety of drinks. The jumbo margarita was bigger than I thought it would be. I enjoy sitting on the patio when it's nice.

Went on Thanksgiving Day with my Dad and kids. I was expecting a crazy wait time, but was seated in about 20 mins of arrival. Not bad at all for being slam packed on a holiday. The food and service was excellent. And I greatly appreciate the staff's energy and effort. Highly recommend.

I'm offering a few suggestions: 1. Turn on the lights over your fireplace mantel so the Christmas decorations pop. 2. Ask staff to please refrain from leaving plastic tubs used to bus tables on the fireplace hearth when not in use. 3. Perhaps move that 32 gallon trash can further from the kitchen entrance, as it's an eyesore. 4. Perhaps ask staff to remember that the fireplace is meant to be enjoyed by everyone; standing in front of it diminishes the guest experience. Thanks

Definitely not as good as they used to be. We stop here twice a year while traveling to and from Florida. Rather disappointing this time. The RV/bus spaces were completely full of cars and pickup trucks. Very annoying when you’re hauling a camper. They didn’t have the Southern fried chicken because the fryer was down, which happens, but our server should have known that and informed us before my husband ordered it. The grilled chicken on my sandwich was paper thin. The ladies room definitely needed some attention. All in all, I feel like this location is going downhill.

This is real southern cooking and homemade food. Real scratch made biscuits that are NOT dry and some handmade sausage patties this is the place to go. My go-to from here is the 'Stacker'. It's an open face biscuit topped with overeasy eggs, 2 sausage patties and some delicious sausage gravy and a side of home fries. The pancakes here are pretty small good too. It's a little over an hour away from me but it's still my favorite breakfast restaurant to go to. 10/10 would recommend!!

I called in and ordered a ham & egg , really expensive for a biscuit by the way, when I got my biscuit, biscuit didn't have the egg on it. I didn't say anything, we all make mistakes. Well I called in today and went to get my same order & again no egg and this time the biscuit is torn up too , I asked the guy who brings food out could I get my egg , he said of course. ok after another 5 minutes I got my $8 biscuit back with egg & ham and a strand of woman's hair in my biscuit. so I will not be back , check your food and prices

Just good old country cooking! You’re looking for a wonderful country cooked breakfast oh my gosh this is the place to be! They have a drive-through you can order or better yet call your order in for pick up. They got a big dining room with fast friendly service and all my gosh once again great country cooking. Lunch is also wonderful I love the pork tenderloin gravy and mashed potatoes! I Live and drive by this restaurant … every time I eat here I tell myself why don’t you eat your more often !!! Its just incredibly delicious and reasonable price!
