Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Whitchurch-Stouffville – 2024

Came here a few months ago with some friends for dinner. The food was downtown quality without having to go the distance! So happy to have found this hidden gem! We ordered: Agi Fries Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts Grilled Calamari PEI Mussels Creamy Wild Mushroom Gnoochi Grilled Australian Rack of Lamb Special- Sea Bass The agi fries were really good and different with their special sauce. Brussel sprouts were super crunchy, just the way we like them. Make sure to order extra bread for dipping the awesome mussels sauce! Probably one of my favourite gnoochis due to the creamy mushroom sauce. Would definitely go back to try more of a menu!

A last minute dinner out led us to Agi and we were pleasantly surprised. The experience was excellent from start to finish and everything in between. We were politely greeted and the servers were outstanding. We started with the sauteed tiger shrimp, which was perfectly cooked and served with a slice of grilled bread in a sauce that had a subtle spice. Our main course was the spanish rice and whole sea bass. The spanish rice dish had an impressive amount of delcious seafood. The sea bass which was one of the evening's specials was fresh and grilled to perfection. An overall exceptional experience!

This place is exquisite, the food is Devine and the waiting staff is always on. Do not skip a beat come here, have an amazing meal. You will not be disappointed.

Pretty decent local Italian restaurant. Food was great but would be much better if they use fresh pasta.

Really nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Stouffville. The salad and bread were super fresh and the pasta and meatballs were hot and tasty - excellent. This Italian guy highly recommends!

We've been a few times. Wonderful restaurant! The service is very personal and the servers are attentive. The food has always been excellent. The atmosphere is perfect for 2 or for a family.

This is a pretty cool place to come grab a drink, eat good food and watch a game. The vibe are cool, each table has a little tablet that displays their promotions and has built in phone chargers. I thought that was a great touch. I ordered the butter chicken pizza. It was solid, the flavour was good and a great size. My friend got a burger and loved it as well. Try one of their island sodas with or without alcohol. I tried the passionfruit one, the flavour was perfect and refreshing.

Parking: there's ample parking outside and ample seating inside. Cleanliness: very clean, tidy and well arranged. Service: amazing and cordial customer service. You'll be treated like you're truly valued. Food: Appetizer: Loved the artichokes spinach dip with naan and nachos. It's quite filling for two. We couldn't finish the rest of the dinner. I'll give it a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dinner: we had Fish and Chips (Halibut) and Hamburger steak in gravy. Bothe the dishes lacked flavour. Our expectations were pretty high, I suppose. And I'll give it 3⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Dessert: Strawberry Champagne Cheesecake (gluten free) was heavenly. Give it a couple of bites to get used to the texture. Thereafter, you'll be on a deliciously exciting journey. Overall: I went twice for the artichokes and spinach dip! And, would definitely recommend the place!

We went last year as well and the food is really good and both times the service was excellent. This time we shared appetizers. The Brussel Sprouts were my favorite. My brother loved the wings and my kid devoured the Mac and Cheese bites.

Awesome little wing joint ! Looking forward to getting back. Service was good, food was full of flavor and the price was spot on! Adequate seating inside and even more outside. Great small town vibe with tons of visual stimulation walls. Sport channels and so much more! Many drinks and menu options. Very pleased and will be a common stop moving forward.

Best wings I have had in a very long time. Omg so many flavors we had the backyard BBQ, lemon pepper, dry jerk, mysquite, honey BBQ well done and finger licking good will definitely be trying the other flavors. Onion rings were good as well. There is a nice beer selection such as Elgin blonde, steam whistle etc. Great place for watching sports but not a lot of seats.

My gf and I came to check this place out for dinner because of all the great google AND yelp reviews. The resto is located on Main St in Stouffville. It resembles Main St on Markham Rd more so than Main St on Unionville with the intermingling of business buildings between the restos. This resto just so happened to have a big parking lot in the back next to it (thank God). The interior is actually TINY compared to a lot of sports bars or wing places I've been to (All Stars, WEGS Stadium, Wild Wings, even Fanzone in scarbs when it was alive - were all bigger in size). The inside is actually shaped like a square and the washrooms are single stall units. Even the bar itself is square in nature! The thing that tripped us out was that there were a ton of tv's playing sports (BIG ones too) but not enough seats to match. But because of the abundance of tv's it gave the place a super cozy vibe. Anyways, don't be fooled by the size of the place because the food ABSOLUTELY SLAPS and the servers check on you very frequently because the place is so small. My gf and I ordered the Double Deal (cuz she told me she was hungry and we thought we could handle it). The double deal comes with 3lbs of wings (2 flavs), 1 Lrg fries, 1 Lrg garden salad and 2 dipping sauces. We upgraded the Lrg fries to a poutine and the server was kind to let us swap the garden salad with ceasar salad. For the 2 wing flavours we got honey brown girl and honey garlic parmesan. For the dipping sauces we got ranch and blue cheese. The ceasar salad was above avg for a sports bar for sure. The wings were HUGE, meaty, juicy and CRISPY. You could also tell they were fresh and not frozen because the bones were not black but grey (black is a telltale sign of frozen wings). The poutine was the sleeper hit though. The fries were actually crispy still and the cheese curds were ACTUALLY melted properly by steaming, hot gravy. And this is coming from a dude who knows how average, poutine at sports pubs are (the fries are usually soggy out the fryer, the gravy's usually lukewarm which in turn doesn't melt the cheese through). My gf tapped out earlier than I expected but luckily I managed to polish off all the wings and dipping sauce in the end while making a considerable dent in the salad and poutine. Oh right, I'm not gonna forget the fact that they actually have coke zero! Most sports bars just carry coke and diet coke and call it a day (I hate diet coke) so that was a big bonus point in my eyes. It's soooo far from me location-wise but if they ever opened a location in Richmond Hill this place would 100% be my go-to wing spot.

Just decided to stop in here to try the Tuesday wing special. Nice clean location lots of seating and TVs from all angles. Service was good and the wings we had were great. Noticed they now have Sweet Jesus desserts. Lots of parking too. If you’re in the area you can give it. Our server was excellent as well.

Ordered the Veg Nachos, veggies was not cut properly… dry… cheese was dry… looks like was u see the heater for sometimes. Service was very slow, always stand at the bar and chit chat… can’t blame, seem like she was the only server. Ordered wings, wings was okay… too dry too small

I visited this place hoping to pick up some wings to go. Unfortunately, I found the wings to be excessively salty and on the dry side, which really overshadowed the experience. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the fries; they were quite decent and added a nice touch to the meal. Overall, though, the wings were too salty for my liking, so I don’t think I’ll be coming back for a second visit.

I'd been here only once before about a month ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere and menu options so last night I brought some family out for a bite of dinner before going to mini putt around the corner. The restaurant was full and limited staff but these servers were on top of everything. They were friendly, seated us as quickly as possible, didn't rush us to order either. We ordered a "shareable" size pizza for an app...(I found the pepperoni a little spicy but that's just me) we all loved the flavor of the pizza. For dinner there was a cob salad, wings and an upgraded waffle fries poutine, chicken ceasar wrap, half rack of ribs and one molten lava cake dessert to share. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and appreciated how attentive our server was. We'll definitely come back for another round of goodness

I highly recommend making reservations as it gets pretty busy here on weekends. We have been here a few times, and food was always good here. However, the food from this visit was slightly disappointing. I got the country hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The chicken was quite thin and a bit dry inside, and the sweet potato fires were slightly undercooked. But, overall it was a pleasant visit and I would continue to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here while in town for my son’s basketball tournament, and it was an absolute hit! The food was nothing short of incredible. We tried the pizza and wings, both of which were among the best we’ve ever had. The pizza crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the wings were seasoned to perfection—truly a testament to the chef’s skills. Service was equally remarkable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our meal enjoyable. The restaurant was spotless, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a quick meal or a leisurely dinner, this place is a must-visit. Serious compliments to the chef! We’ll definitely be back.

I hate to leave negative reviews on small businesses but the food was absolutely awful. 3/4 of the Ginger beef was just onions. Noodles were flavourless. Some things were overtly salty and others had no flavour. Filled a full container with just the vegetables on two dishes. If you are craving good Chinese food go to the zen.

The owners of this restaurant are very nice people and they make incredible food. I’ve been looking for a nice clean mom and pop shop type restaurant and this is 1000% the best one in town. Spring rolls and egg rolls are amazing, the fried rice is some of the best I’ve had, and the chicken dishes are also amazing. This is definitely a place to try out if you want to try a new place. 10/10 recommend this restaurant

I dont like leaving bad reviews but my wife convinced me to write one. I ordered one chicken and a beef veggie mix. 95% of the dish was veggies and almost 4...5 small pices of beef and chicken. 40 dollars worth of veggies and a rice on the side. Very disappointed and i would never return again.

Had a great time at Chuck's. We were thoroughly impressed with the service Mark provided. Our food was tasty and well priced. My steak was cooked exactly to my liking. Had good views of the Leaf's game from everywhere too. Would go back, and recommend.

Had lunch on the patio. The waitress (Holly) is wonderful. She is fast, friendly and shared good menu choices. The chicken club is pretty good, the dipping sauce is a bit like Swiss Chalet's. The burger was a tad overdone but the garlic aioli is great.

I love this place for both dine in & take out. Their portions are fantastic, and I usually get a second meal out of my Pad Thai! Their service is efficent and friendly, and they will remember you, which is always so lovely. I definitely recommend The Zen

We ordered the Chicken Pakora (10 pieces), Chilli Chicken, Lemon Chicken (recommended by staff), and 2 orders of rice (combined into 1 large bowl). Everything was sooo delicious and the staff are super friendly! Our fave was definitely the Chicken Pakora - it was very moist inside & paired well with the sauce! We will definitely be back. Next time, we may order take-out to take advantage of the 10% discount for cash pick-up!

Great place, clean, good service and great quantity of food per each dish. 4 stars because the hot and sour soup was actually hot and sweet. And we weren't told that there was a 15% gratuity included in the bill regardless of the number of people (we were 3). Were about to give a cash tip but after seeing the bill we didn't.

Had dinner here for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Lots of choices for all diets. Only one waitress working and she did a great job looking after the patio and dining room.

Visiting from Alberta, I was walking Main Street in lovely, charming Stouffville Ontario. I was looking for a restaurant with welcoming/“come in our doors” atmosphere. Fickle Pickle drew my attention. I didn’t pre-review the restaurant so I’d have a clean feel for my own review. I was immediately welcomed (by owner?) and seated; he checked the customers throughout the time I was here, very attentive. At one point a customer asked for a “real” coffee and this man grinned and said “just you wait” lol. The restaurant was clean, (as was the ladies washroom); the cooks wore hairnets. It was very busy at noon. Great to see this. The young lady that tended to me was very friendly and warm. Huge menu selections, I couldn’t help by commenting on this with her. She laughed. I ordered beef brisket, upgraded the au jus to gravy. The plate had good food placement, the fries were overflowing & amazing: crisp and flavourful, and when dipped into the amazing robust beef gravy even better! The beef brisket was also robust, flavourful, tender and aLOT on top of sesame seed buns. The portion offered was way more than I could eat. Also offered was a crisp, juicy pickle spear. Yum. My husband called while I was eating. We laughed as he had eaten here 6 years ago and the meal was memorable (beef liver and onions), THAT was quite a all this time later. He even remembered the restaurant signage. My only regret is I had no room left for dessert. I say treat yourselves, come to Fickle Pickle, and try their eyeopening copious meal options. I highly recommend.

Food was all prepared properly with friendly service (Bill?). Only exception was the espresso which was luke warm, perhaps because it was served in a large cup.

A very unassuming place in downtown Stoufville. Extensive menu. Parking out front. Dine in and take out. Lots to choose from. Freshly cooked. All of our food came out hot and tasting amazing. Nice spice/flavour to everything we ordered. Staff are friendly. Would recommend visiting and will go again when in the area. You have to try the Tandoori MoMos.

Tried out Chilli Coriander Indian food. I would say this is more of a takeout restaurant. The interior is small and a bit outdated. The service was a bit slow, but they were having issues with their internet and phone when we visited. We tried the butter chicken and coconut curry chicken; both were good, though the chicken could have been a bit more tender. The naan was made fresh and was very good. I will try it again and sample some different dishes.

Drove from Hamilton, was worth the drive. The food was so fresh and tasted delicious. The Coconut Chicken Curry with Garlic Naan, has the most wonderful flavours . The Chicken Smaosas come with a very delightful Mint Chutney. The Chilli Panerr was amazing ! You MUST try the Veg Pakora and the homemade dipping sauce Definitely going to return to try other menu options . 1000% recommended trying Chilli Coriander in the beautiful little town of Stouffville . The staff is very welcoming and the Chefs put all their hearts into the making of each dish.

Never tried Pizza Nova in this town, my experience this time is unbelievably good. Purchased a typical super Hawaiian pizza and a small honey garlic wings. No doubt that it was delicious. Also, it rained so badly when my food was delivered but the delivery staff was so responsible that he held my food until i came out to the door to get it (even i mistakenly asked them to leave at front door which was completely wet due to heavy rain.) Very much appreciated their friendly and supportive services.

Continuing the consistently friendly and welcoming service every time we pop in to pick up our Friday night pepperoni pizza. As far as pizza chains go these guys at the Stouffville store are great from the quality of service to the food.

Went in as a party of 3. Stood waiting for someone to seat us or even communicate but no luck. Three young girls ( servers) were huddled talking about behind their ears. We seated ourselves , got our own menus and just listened to them yap away, not once addressing us despite few customers being there. Finally we were served and the food was good.I have been disappointed by other franchises but this one seems different. The food is fresh and tasty. The floors were also very sticky all over along with the tables. It was strange and maybe a one off. Food is good so overall recommended.

It’s been awhile we haven’t been visiting since the Markville Mall East Side Mario’s closed. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Love the all you can eat salad and soup. Salad is so fresh and the soup is very flavourful. The entree pastas are very rich in flavours.

Been to many other ESM locations, this Stouffville location has a good vibe. very good customer service this visit, will come back next time when I am nin the area..
