Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Wetumpka – 2024

Tonight was our first time visiting and when I say it was an incredible experience, I’m not exaggerating. The sushi was SINFUL. The meals were reasonably priced. The soup flavorful. Our server Nick was fantastic, we will now be regulars! Thank you for bringing this business to Wetumpka. ☺️

Got a to go order of Shrimp, steak and chicken Hibachi and it was delicious. Even comes with a side salad

First time here since they opened and I am happy to say they did not disappoint. It’s not a big place but they did a great job remodeling the old building and it looks very nice, bright and inviting. We got there a little after 6 pm and we got seated right away but they were just about full up. Waitress was very nice, took our order and the food came out within 15 minutes if not sooner. I got the hibachi steak and chicken combination. It came with a ginger salad which was your typical Japanese ginger salad but tasty just the same. They fried rice, vegetables, steak and chicken were delicious and the portions were large. We each had enough leftovers for another full meal each. I would have to vote this restaurant addition to Wetumpka as one of the best the city has had in a while. It was reasonable on price for Japanese at dinner, costing about $23 a piece. This will definitely be a place I will visit again.

This was my surprise birthday dinner. Was a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The food was cooked to perfection. Our servant even tried to sing to me. No Grammy for him. Lol but he did try. The place definitely is top shelf and I can't wait to come back again.

This place was great. The dining experience was one of the best I’ve had in quite a while. The atmosphere was lovely. Great place for date night. The servers were outstanding and the food presentation was top tier. The only complaint was that my steak was overcooked. At the end they even gave us complimentary truffle chocolate and a rose! Will definitely be back.

Went with a group of eight and we enjoyed ourselves. I had the French onion soup and have to say it was delicious. Full of deep flavor, loaded with onions and topped with melted cheese. I had a 6oz filet and Mac and cheese as my entree. I ordered my steak Pittsburgh style, medium-rare. It came out medium well, so back it went. About 8 minutes later they brought out another and it was perfect. The Mac and cheese was a little “watery” for my taste. Decent flavor, but I’ll would not order it again. Overall, service was good and the food was good. I would go back and try some other dishes.

My neighbor was having a birthday party here. It's nice being with some friends. I don't drink. But I did have Cranberrie juice, No liquor. As for the food, it took over 1 & 1/2 hour to get your food. Then my fish did not look cooked. Didn't eat it!

As a true Texan, don’t be fooled by the name like I was. I don’t know how they are allowed to say this is Texas anything, as no country dancing or country music was seen/heard in this place. Its is more like California pretending to be Texan. Only pop line dancing… and only by the employees. House band was 65 year old grandpas playing whatever they liked to hear. No Shiner, despite the neon signs. No draft beers. So disappointing overall, as I was hoping for a place similar to home like the Broken Spoke, The Hall or Coupland Dance Hall, or even Wild West; but no. Can’t say I will ever return

Went to dance instruction only. Everyone was nice . Very friendly atmosphere not like a lot of dance clubs where you have be in a “ click”

Taste at The Fain helped my friend and me host a bridal shower party for 25 today in the upstairs area. We had mimosas, charcuterie, and cheesecake bites. The food was delicious. Even better, though, was the service. David was dedicated to our party the entire 2 hours, and he made it his mission to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. The Fain is wonderful for dinner. Also consider it for your special group events! You will not be disappointed!

Y'ALL!!!!!! Get. In. What an amazing place! We walked in the door and we were greeted by an brilliant staff. You could tell they were so happy to be there! Attitude is everything! We grabbed a table on the second floor and our server was fantastic! ( #SavannahRules ) We started out with a couple of cocktails. Highly recommend both the Bless Your Heart and the Paloma Spritz. We had mushrooms for our appetizer. They were melt in your mouth delicious! We shared a wedge salad - the house made dressing was fantastic! And then came our 4 oz fillets. There are no words to describe how divine our meal was!! Perfectly cooked meat on a bed of heavenly mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. And the sauce options, unbelievable! Pro Tip: choose a wine flight to go with your dinner! We did the Red Dawn and the Goodfellas! Already planning a return trip!

A great, locally owned place that is perfect for a date night. Nichole was our server and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the history of the building. I had the gumbo and seafood pasta bake and my date had the lemon herb chicken. Everything was incredible and all dishes come with a salad. Definitely a place that we will visit again!!

It has been over a quarter of a century since I have been to Wetumpka. I never expected to find a restaurant of this caliber in a small, quiet town in Alabama. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. They were very accommodating and willing to take extra steps to ensure that you enjoyed your experience. The food is amazing! The crab cakes were perfect, the best trout I have ever eaten, and the Key Lime Pie has left me speechless. If you are ever near Our Place Cafe, stop by, and you won't be disappointed. I came from Texas to visit family in Birmingham. I drove down to visit a good friend and he took us there for dinner. It was well worth the 4-hour round trip! The company was great but I don't know which I preferred. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Ambience was awesome, parking was limited, menu is the same as it's been forever, upscale prices, I did not care for either soups they had, steak and shrimp was awesome. And since it was my birthday celebration we all got desserts. The keylime pie taste like it was out of a Box and the bread pudding was great.

Best Thai food I've had. Best sushi and curry in the area. Better than Lek's. Shimp are very large.

The spicy crunchy kani roll and the super crunch California roll were delicious! The general tso's chicken with steamed rice was amazing. It's piping hot, crispy, juicy, chicken in a sweet and spicy sauce. You'll definitely have left overs because the portions are large. Edit:, The sushi is 10/10 perfect.

Great sushi! I am in love with Cowboy Roll! My dinner partner is more adventurous and orders the larger assortment of sushi and a side of smoked eel. My husband chose to stick with a more familiar shrimp w/mixed veggies. The inside looks like an Italian restaurant that went bust, and the Thai moved in. It really needs a total renovation.

Stephanie was amazing tonight. I had a small hiccup with my drink order and she saw fit to correct the issue immediately. The customer service at this store is always top tier. If there is ever an issue or dislike they work their best to resolve it. Lizzie and Lauren waited on us throughout our dining experience and we never went without. I left satisfied and full.

This was our first time eating here and it was outstanding. The workers were so nice. They made us feel welcomed and like we were family. The prices are great especially the amount of food they bring you. We will be back here again very soon! Someone said not better then Red Lobster.. OMG are u serious. Red lobster so commercial..at this place you taste the love in the food...IMO!

This little place was simply amazing. My family and I was on vacation while visiting Wetumpka casino. As we were leaving, suddenly we all got hungry and decided to stop in. To my surprise, the food was very delicious. The service was superior and the restaurant was spotless. We really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to visit again. I’ll be sure to tell all of my friends to check out the Wharf seafood spot while visiting Wetumpka! By the way, The dessert wasn’t as great as the dinner yet the manager was so awesome that she personally walked to our table and asked us what we felt was needed in the desserts to make it better and she actually listened to our suggestions and refunded us with no more questions. Patronize this place you’ll be glad you did.

The steaks were thick and grilled to perfection. The roast beef was dry. The sides were great. The carrots were sweet and savory and not crunchy. The mac n cheese was homemade and creamy. The cowboy beans were sweet, savory, and meaty. I wish they had a touch of spiciness, but overall, they had good flavor. The desserts looked and tasted good, but they also tasted artificial; which was disappointing—cool whip, not real whipped frosting, boxed mix. However, the overall food was yummy, and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be back for a steak!!

This cafe is the perfect local restaurant to support!! It is family owned and the kitchen is run by a father and son who are both culinary school graduates! The service is great, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is excellent as well!

Ate here for the first time with my mom for lunch. Looking from the outside can be deceiving. It’s a gas station converted into a restaurant. It’s a nice country atmosphere and seems like they have adequate seating. You walk of to a counter to place your order from a variety of different choices. I would like to go back and try the burgers but on this visit I went with the Jerk Chicken. It’s served with their own homemade jerk sauce and grilled pineapple. The sandwich was juicy and flavorful and would be something I would get again. Their French fries were a very thick cut fry and were ok but I would have preferred a thinner cut. I wish there were half stars as I feel like they deserve at least a 3.5 bit not as high as 4 for me. Again, this was my first visit and trying additional menu items in the future my bump up my rating. Overall, it was good, the staff was friendly and if I have the opportunity, I would go back.

We arrived at the opening on a Tuesday night and we were hungry..this place is fabulous..food was unbelievable and service was great..had seen the place on HGTV Hometown makeover and also lived in the area many years ago..but the small town feel is still there.. will definitely be back when in the area..

We are on a cross country trip from California to South Carolina and are spending a day exploring Wetumpka. We enjoyed shopping in the charming downtown area, and finished the day with an excellent dinner at Coaches Corner Sports Bar & Grill. My wife ordered a Chicken House Salad and proclaimed it "excellent." I had the Fajita Stuffed Potato and also proclaim it excellent. The queso really tied the dish together adding a lot of flavor and moisture. It could have done without the lettuce as it really didn't enhance the dish, in my opinion. But I would go to Coaches Corner again and would not hesitate to order the Fajita Stuffed Potato. It was quite satisfying. Finally, our server was outstanding! She was enthusiastic and helpful. She checked on our table several times throughout our meal. Great food and great service make for a fantastic dining experience!

Decent wings and bar food, the staff was friendly and service was quick.

The fried green tomato with crawfish Remoulade was amazing, never would’ve thought to make em that way. I had the bovine flatbread it was really good my wife had the chicken flatbread. Service was great very polite and fast. Only thing I think would’ve made it better is if the flatbread had come with a dipping sauce of some kind just my personal opinion

Great day to go. Wasn't busy due to rain but normally busy. Got the grilled fish tacos with Old Bay fries. Delish!! My son got the fish sandwich with sweet potato fries and he doesn't usually do seafood but he said it was great The sweet potato fries are amazing❤ The young lady who served us was really sweet and attentive .

I am not a local here, but I've loved this town since Big Fish movie. Pepsi products only. Speed was a little slow. Salads seemed fresh, Caesar ask for more dressing. Grilled chicken was great. Thai shrimp was ok, needed heat or a side sauce. Cabbage soup good, but had cooled by the time it got to me. Would I go back, yes, but not if I'm in a hurry. Management should speed up servers who chit chatted at counter. Instead sell options (drinks deserts etc).

My husband had the chicken and steak fajitas and I had the chili poblano with chicken. Our food was so good and we have some to take home too. I would highly recommend eating here.

Decent Mexican food. If I hadn't lived in Texas I would say it was the best, but having had more homemade Mexican food in the past, I know the difference. However for Alabama, it's close! The staff is amazing! The kitchen will do modifications if you ask. I've had several dishes on the menu outside of the "staples," and I've never been disappointed!

We just went here for the first time two weeks ago. We have gone twice and both visits were pleasant. We enjoyed our meals. This restaurant gets packed at dinner time so I recommend going to dinner earlier than you might ordinarily. Our last visit was on a Monday which is usually slower for restaurants, but not here! It was packed! We enjoyed the steak tacos, pork tacos, and taco salad. The prices are very reasonable. With 4 drinks and 4 entrees, we ate for about $47 plus tip. It's one of the most affordable restaurants I've been to in a long time. If I were feeding a crowd, this is where I'd go.

My apology I thought I did this review ..but here goes ... The cafe was great .. service was fantastic.. plenty of parking restrooms clean my only wish is a larger selection on the menu and my Mac and cheese was just Mac .. but once I told the waitress she replaced it with my second choice. During this time another member of the staff noticed I was waiting and inquired so I told him .. he immediately went and made another Mac and Cheese with extra cheese on top . .and he said he would mico the cheese .. about that time my green beans came so I told him no need .. ok no more play by play .. All in all my lunch was great and I will visit again ..

Came in today... was told when I placed my order that the desserts were made fresh every day. Got home with my order of chocolate pie. Yes.. it was made fresh... 3 days ago. Just be honest with your customers when they ask a question about your food. C'mon guys.

I eat here with my grandmother on occasion, maybe once every 3 months. They served the roast with rice dish in a cup which I didn’t enjoy at all and thinking about it now, I really only go because my grandma likes it so it must be good. Bathroom is tiny and not accommodated for those with infants and toddlers. I would go there again to dine and order food. 10/10 Great place.

Phenomenally made sandwiches! I give it 4 stars because of the long wait. We were in for a quick bite to eat, but ended up switching to take out because we had plans after. Additionally, it is a bit overpriced. Ultimately, though, the food was made very well and ended up being mostly worth the wait. The atmosphere is very nice. I'll certainly come back if I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere.

Good spot for a nice hearty lunch. We had the Close Talker and Big Beefy Cheese sandwiches. Both were great and made to order (got the Close Talker without horseradish). Nice little spot to sit and eat inside, and plenty on the menu that I still want to try.

My second time here. First time was so awesome! But today I stopped by to pick up a take out order and when I got home and opened my sandwich to eat it, i noticed the bread looked dark on the inside and upon closer inspection, it was completely burned!! Talk about disappointment! I had to take the meat out and grab my loaf of white bread out of the pantry and use it, which was horrible. I dont know why anyone would ever send out burned up bread and ruining someone's meal instead of just taking two more mins to toast another bun. I tipped for this???? Update: they made this issue right with me after talking to the manager, and they offered to replace my sandwich... Which was delicious and fresh. Will definitely continue to go here. I recommend the Reuben or the french dip type of sandwich. Both are excellent.
