Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Vidalia – 2024

Our visit started out being greeted with a smile and being seated quickly. Our waitress Anna was very attentive to our requests and knowledgeable about the menu. Even though she had multiple tables, our drinks never went dry. The place was very clean. The decor is inviting and very colorful. The painted scenes throughout the restaurant adds to the appeal. The food was served at the perfect temperature and was visually pleasing. The taste was great! The portions were very large except for maybe a 18 year old boy..... Our visit ended the same way it began with a smile. Thank you Anna and El Centanario for a good experience!

The food was kind of bland. The Margaritas were SUPER weak. So be prepared to spend $6 on a sour drink with no tequila.

We really enjoyed our lunch. Chips and cheese dip were good - not thinned out like some places. All three of us enjoyed our meal with nice portions for the cost. The shrimp in the tacos were impressively huge! The decor is really interesting and you can tell a lot of care and planning has gone into this restaurant. The bar is absolutely beautiful with this intricately carved wood. Will definitely return!

Highly recommend! We stopped in for lunch while in town on business from Jax and had the best sandwiches EVER. Seriously, so damn good. The house made bread was delicious and perfectly toasted but still soft, the olive mix was a great recommendation. Had the trio and the turkey trio. Went next door and got a slice of cake and a cinnamon roll for later. Eat here, you won’t be disappointed.

Great sandwiches, worth a stop for sure! Great pri es, and pastrami. Turkey is fabulous, too!

Turkey sandwich was amazing! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and clean. A little pricey for a sandwich but it was worth it. The bread and sauce with melted cheese! Yum!

Me and my boyfriend went this morning, my first time, I got a meat and cheese omelette w/grits and toast while my boyfriend got the triple burger w/fries . 20/10 Recommend!!! The prices on the menu aren’t accurate, but it’s just by a few cents. The owners are welcoming and helpful. We might be back in the morning.

I wanted something hearty but not necessarily deep fried and their meatloaf special hit the spot. Portions were generous. Maybe they’re always that big, maybe they appreciate the carry out tips ‍♂️ either way, great meal. Much appreciated lunch! Thank you ladies!

This little gem of a restaurant was a welcome find. My party was kindly greeted by Ms. Mincey( see photos) and made to feel welcome. Ms.Victoria (Also pictured) was kind, attentive and professional as was the entire staff. Rarely do I give 5 stars, but this one was worth it! Be sure to stop by.

This is what ppl mean when they say “it’s a hole in the wall & the food is amazing”….I was already sold from the photos from other reviews but I had to experience this for myself. Our Philly’s were flavorful and packed with meat…nothing more frustrating when the bread/meat ratio is off and you end up with NO meat but there was meat falling from everywhere :)…can’t wait to go back, this place is a local staple and I’ll be standing in that line again happily & soon enough. Mr Matt welcomed me and even showed me the quality of meat he cuts daily to make his Philly’s out of the fridge. This place is a MUST TRY…do yourself a favor and thank me later. Those red velvet cupcakes ended up being the best red velvet I’ve had, ever!!!! See yall soon!!!

The best cheesesteak sandwich this side of Reading Market in Philly. Lean, juicy steak cooked perfectly. Fresh rolls, never stale. They don't even own a microwave! What a place like this is doing in Vidalia, I don't know. A big sandwich, chips and a drink will run you about $15, but you'll get two meals out of it. It's a cash-only place with almost no inside seating, so plan accordingly.

These sandwiches are the best in town! The loaded Italian is one of my favorite bursting with flavor. Once you try it you will find yourself craving it again, and again.

Not from the area or state at that, first time coming there. People were so friendly and helpful with recommendations. They even gave me samples of the Mac and Cheese to make sure I would like it. They also recommended me to try their sweet potato soufflé with a sample as well. LOVED!! It was super good, ordered a side to go! Definitely recommend to anyone and try their soufflé, it didn’t taste like sweet potato’s at all, could’ve fooled me. Really enjoyed the meal and service, thank you so much! :)

Driving up to this place, you can tell that it will be a little different. The restaurant is an old gas station. We walked in and were greeted by 2 friendly girls, who seemed to be having a great time working there. After asking them about different menu items and discussing options, we decided on 1st, the original scooby snack with brisket, fully loaded, then a plate of brisket, ribs, fried corn & Brunswick stew, plus some sweet tea to wash everything down. While the Mac and cheese is a personal favorite, we were told that some times its out of this world good and sometimes it was ok, it appeared that it wasn't an out of this world day, so we passed on that, for now. Let's start with the tea, it was tasty and refreshing, nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected, but good. Next was the Brunswick stew, it was good, had great flavor and filling. Moving on to the fried corn, this was interesting, something I've never had before, I'd highly recommend trying it. The brisket and ribs came next, both were incredible tender and juicy, cooked well. I like a little more spice, but the flavor was still good. Next was the star of the show, what would have been my drunken go-to (if I had been drinking prior to trying it), the Original Scooby snack with brisket - all the way. I really enjoyed it. This is a full order of French fries, covered with cheese, sour cream, brisket, jalapenos, onions, olives & I added aittke sauce to it. This was so good, I will be ordering it each time I go back. This was easily my favorite thing there. Go here, try the scooby snacks, say hi to Sammy!

The ugliest acting people that I have ever encountered at an eating establishment. Told us we could not park in a wide open area. Said park in the lines. There were no lines. And all the lined parking places were taken. Last trip here.

Food was great and the Service was good

We hadn't been here in a long while because our first experience was awful. However, we found out new folks had the restaurant so my husband really wanted to give them another chance. We were glad we did. The food was closely monitored and fresh. It tasted good. And we enjoyed our meal.

The food was ok! But last week when we were there i thought it was very unprofessional of the manager I believe her name was Anna one she reeked the smell of marijuana and she was there talking loud enough for us customers to hear while she talked about a employee like a dog planning to make her quit and how she didn’t like the employee and the employee wasn’t there to defend herself I thought it was very unprofessional of her as a manager to be acting like that but every time we come in she’s rude and unprofessional also the employee she mentioned is always so nice and smiling she really makes that place feel like home

I WILL HAVE TO SAY BEST PLACE I HAVE EATEN AT IN A LONG TIME!!!! I was extremely impressed by this location.. I was very skeptical about it, but after my first bite of appetizers... "Meatballs." I didn't think at that point it could get better, and I was wrong! I had the trio plate and started with the chicken parm and went to the lasagna both wonderful but when that magical mixture of Alfredo sauce hit my taste buds let me tell you " If it was on my forehead my tongue would slap my brains out trying to get too it !!!!!!!!! AND I WAS ALREADY CLOSE TO FULL BUT I HAD TO FINISH MY Fettuccine Alfredo every bite I was so full I was miserable " a good thing " even got a order of it to go. I WILL BE BACK to try the rest of the menu... staff was excellent as well I would give my waitress a shout-out but can't remember her name.... I will next time... photos of Shrimp scampi, trio sampler, crab cake, trio meatballs, and bloody Mary and got more lots of leftovers

Our server Madali was outstanding, friendly professional and very helpful with the menu seeing how this was our first time at Rialto. The baked ziti was excellent and a very large portion. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the chicken parmesan, plus our salads were was outstanding. We enjoy the atmosphere. Great place for our date night.

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The Eggplant parm is always worth the drive (and reheats well too). Baked Ziti is also very good.

Truly enjoyed this restaurant. This was my 2nd time coming. The food is the best buffet food I've had since COVID. Everything is fresh! Lots of choices! The waiting staff is very attentive and considerate. Unfortunately, I saw many people being demanding and downright rude to them. I just wanted to give the staff a big thank you for your patience and kindness. If it was another type of buffet, the wait staff would be rude right back. With that said, I highly recommend eating at the New Super Buffet. The food is amazing, the tables are clean, and the service is great!

This buffet was a pleasant experience. Greeters acknowledge you when you first walk in and sit you immediately. Our waitress was timely, friendly, and understood and spoke English to adequately serve us. The food was delicious once restocked with fresh items. I loved the egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, long green beans and the ice cream options. The Hibachi had selective ingredient options, I would have preferred more, such as eggs, rice and onions. Shrimp and all seafood options on the buffet were fresh. The dining was spacious and accommodating for an inclusive establishment. I visited twice during my stay in town and both experiences were fulfilling. I would love to visit again! Thank you all!

Service from the waitress was good, the smaller side of the restaurant SMELLED, and most of the food choices were good. There was one dish that consisted of a spicy spread on a croissant.... this tasted sour! (It's pictured to the right of the sweet roll)

Great experience, was nervous at first as the first waitress just tossed the menus and walked away . Thank goodness she had left and the rest of the experience was wonderful. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised how tasty everything is there. Would dine again !

One of the best Mexican restaurant near Pensacola beach.. personally I loved their rice and shrimp curry Food was really tasty and good customer service.. love the restaurant and would like to go again soon.. I highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t miss their food when you visit Pensacola beach..

In the area for business and stopped by to try take out for dinner. Customer service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and spacious to meet COVID regulations. I appreciated seeing the notice to patrons who are pregnant: advising the harmful effects of drinking alcohol while pregnant. Food was fresh and quick service. I got the Fajita Vallarta Taco Salad but I did not particularly like the steak and beans in it. The steak was medium well and mostly gristle and the bean juice made the taco soggy pretty quick. I should have requested to remove the beans from the order. Not that the beans weren't good, just did not like the juice from the beans. Everything was delicious.

Just paid $11 for a large queso to go, and this is the dinky bag of chips they give you with it. That’s crazy , at any other Mexican restaurant, if you pay $11 for a large queso , they give you a large bag of chips to eat with it. This is stingy behavior.

We usually have a pretty good experience here. This time the waitress must’ve been new. My daughter did not get the tortillas for her fajita order and my friend did not get the lemon she asked for three times. The food was good and we will come back but hopefully the waitress will be better.

I usually don't try and down places but yallllllll....this was awful!! I mean I love Mexican food but nothing about this screamed mexican!!! The cheese for the cheese dip was not melted I got guacamole dip yall the sticker off the was mixed in the dip...he brought the wrong drinks and my main meal was not even what I order but he claimed it was even after asking for the menu again and pointing at what I ordered...he then brought me onions and said that's what was missing but nooooo it wasn't even the correct items on the plate....I just can't even deal! Do NOT WASTE YA MONEY FRFR

My family and I have eaten there 2 times in the past few weeks, and the food was delicious. I had a large dinner salad, other folks had the fish special, as well as baked potatoes, the salad bar and the navy bean/okra stew. All of it was really tasty and satisfying. Service was good and attentive. Prices were good too. I highly recommend this restaurant in Vidalia.

Good is great. I had to pour my own drink and use my same salad bar plate for a 2nd trip. Got checked on at the end of the meal not 2 bites in. Very busy place and short staffed so maybe that is why. Salad bar is amazing and so is the soup!!! I will try again.

Food and service was great. Had just enough time to enjoy the salad bar before my entree arrived. One of the best salad bars in town in my opinion. I didn’t order it this time but the fried cheese cake is the best to finish up your meal there. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Big portions of fresh food for a great price! Fast, courteous service and a clean, family-friendly atmosphere. The owner even personally came out to thank us for coming and make sure we had all we needed. Definitely making this one of our go-to places to eat!

The crew working tonight (12/04/2024) had the best customer service! They were all so kind and cheerful. Definitely refreshing to have this type of customer service with great food. 10 out of 10!

First time coming to this bar burritos, there was a young man and young lady working the service line very positive attitude and enjoyable while getting my order definitely will come back to this place as a repeat customer

The Sandwiche Shoppe a well established, locally owned and operated staple in the lunch scene. My favorite meal is the Hawaiian Hero. Food is always tasty and portions great. Great spot if you have friends or business associates from out of town. Amy, the owner, also makes fantastic deserts and salads, like her special chicken salad, and pistachio salad. I get them in styrofoams and take them to the river. One of my favorite summer time snacks.

They have the best sandwiches! I always get the Italian and recommend them to friends and they also loved them.

An absolute gem! I ordered 12 gluten free sandwiches today at the last minute and they were not only accommodating of the last minute request, but served the most delicious sandwiches too. Will definitely be back for our next catering order and can’t wait to taste what other goodies are on your menu. Thank you for the impeccable service!

Local Small Business. Alright food, nothing special. I had the noodles with chicken bowl, will not order that again. The noodles reminded me of Roman noodles. Food is cooked fresh and to order. There is a Sushi menu. You can call ahead and place your order. Restaurant is small and can get crowded I usually get my order to go.Not a bad place to eat I just think it could be a little better.

If you've never been here it's not intuitive to go to the counter and order your food. Don't wait at the door like we did and then feel rushed to know what to order right away before seated. Also the steak quality is bad and doesn't matter if you want it cooked medium rare because they cook it to a chewy over well done no matter what. The shrimp in the hibachi was the only redeeming factor.

Absolutely loved it. Food was incredibly delicious. I've paid far more for horrible "japanese" cuisine. Definitely going back again soon.
