Cardero’s Restaurant is a premier dining establishment located in the heart of the city, renowned for its exquisite culinary offerings and vibrant atmosphere. Specializing…
We had a fantastic celebratory dinner here. We got patio seats, which made for an amazing view. One of their most popular dishes, baked salmon, was the best salmon we ever had. The halibut (special) was also incredibly delicious. Given the quality and execution of the dishes, the prices were extremely fair. The service from Dawna was terrific, friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The complimentary dessert was a nice touch and appreciated.
I have been dining at this restaurant several times- the dining experience , qualify of dishes, and service are highly-recommended. Both sandbar and Cardero are sister restaurants under the same ownership and I found both restaurant menus offer guests a variety of choice. Both restaurants have been on my top to go list whether in a summer time, fall, or just a dinner date on weekend. Not to mention I feel that the price on the menu is still consider reasonable compare to toptable group ( I enjoy the latter as well).
Very good seafood although we were not fan of sea food but we enjoyed the food. The fish soup taste great , fish and chips was perfect and the pasta was awsome. Didn't like the fact that although was mid-week lunchtime and lots of tables were free we had to wait till we can seat. In general having reservation is best for weekends .

Excellent meal. We order the octopus which had a nice smokey taste. I tend not to often order steak at most restaurants since I have very high expectations of the cut, cook and seasoning but it was very nicely done especially the mushroom accompaniments. Th lamb dish was so tasty. It came with a lamb rib and piece of lamb (don't remember the cut) was also excellent. The rib seared to a slight crisp and the lamb meat was juicy. Dessert on paper didn't look interesting to us but we tried it. And was not disappointed. The texture and combination of the flavours were very good. Very enjoyable meal. Not only food was good but service was stellar. Our server gave enough space for to enjoy ourselves but checked in with us. She also listened to us and treated us as you would expect from a 5 star restaurant. Even others in the restaurant and hotel gave us excellent service too. Highly recommend here for the food and the experience.
Came here for my husband’s birthday and it was lovely. We got the tasting menu, which was good but very rich. The wine list was great and their sommelier was a hoot. We’d heard such glowing reviews about this place and it the food was fine but nothing they served was so amazing that I feel the need to go back.
Our experience at Botanist was exceptional, largely thanks to our server, Brandon. His attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for our table made a lasting impression. The entire staff displayed a high level of professionalism, which added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. The food was outstanding and served at a perfect pace. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be returning.

My new favorite Happy Hour in Vancouver. They call it Cocktail Hour, but it's really great. The drinks were great and as expected. However, the burger is the best I've had in Vancouver! When they ask you " how would you like it cooked?" You know you're in the right place. Everywhere else in the world you can have your burger cooked to order. But here in Canada, they MUST cook it well done to comply with moronic "serve it right" regulations. I had my burger medium rare, and it was fantastic!! I'll be back, for sure! Thank you Hawksworth!
Great old fashioned’s, great burgers, and great service. Wonderful happy hour at an upscale place in downtown Vancouver. Had a great time with family before the recent Rolling Stones concert. 10/10 would recommend. The daiquiris are also great and the ribs were fall off the bone. Thanks!!
Lovely service and good. We had the octopus, foie gras, pork& scallops and the halibut. All of them tasted amazing! Wish there were more octopus than potatoes and the halibut wasn’t so salty. We got good recommendations for wine and they treated us to some bubbles when they found out we were celebrating our anniversary. Special shout out to the pork and scallops- we may come back for it.

We visited Five Sails to celebrate my husband's birthday with his parents. The restaurant offers an elegant atmosphere that feels like an escape from the ordinary. The sophisticated interior design and the stunning view of the North Shore's sea and mountains from our seats added to the extraordinary experience. The staff provided courteous and professional service, answering all our questions about drinks and dishes with expertise and sharing knowledge that enhanced our dining experience. We were able to order with the perfect balance and portion sizes. The sommelier's recommended wine pairings were impeccable, complementing the dishes wonderfully. My husband and father-in-law especially enjoyed the wines and even ordered additional bottles, thoroughly satisfied. The attentive service felt akin to a luxury hotel stay, yet each staff member was warm and friendly. I always order my favorite dessert, the apple-shaped treat. The presentation is beautiful, and the balance of sweet and tart flavors is unique, making it delightful even when I'm already full. The prices are certainly on the higher side, but given the quality, they feel fully justified. Five Sails is a place that makes special occasions even more memorable. Every visit is a truly enjoyable experience, thanks to the perfect combination of atmosphere, service, and cuisine. I highly recommend it to friends and family visiting Vancouver, and I look forward to our next visit for another wonderful experience.
We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. William was so nice and made us feel special. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations!
I have never heard of Five Sails Restaurant before. This place was recommended by a friend. We went for high tea here. I normally try to avoid high tea as I don't find the food very exciting. HOWEVER! This was a very memorable experience from the time I got seated to the very end. Jesse, attended our table. He provided excellent, excellent, service. He was so attentive and detailed throughout our time there. Even though we went for high tea, he gave us fine dining treatment! For example, when we stepped away from our seat, he re-folded our table napkins neatly. For me, these things catches my attention. He was friendly, funny, yet professional. Ask to be in his section! Jason, the GM, came over to greet our table as well. He was dressed in a themed attire for the high tea. We were also greeted by Alex, the culinary chef. He won gold in a culinary competition, and I am not surprised after tasting the high tea menu. This month's high tea theme is Versailles. From the menu, center piece, gold flaked pillars, and having the GM in the attire of that time was so fitting for the theme. The food! So detailed and pretty! I really didn't want to eat certain things! I do recommend to try the high tea here. After this experience, I will go back and try their dinner menu.

This place was highly recommended to me by friends, but I think that their quality has gone downhill since they’ve gained a name for themselves. And in an attempt to create unique dishes, they have disregarded how well the ingredients may combine together for each dish because I found that almost every item that was served missed its mark slightly, when I was expecting perfection for a restaurant of this calibre. Some dishes were slightly too salty or sour, the ingredients could’ve been put together better. Nothing was bad, but nothing made me feel like it was amazing either. My favourite thing at this restaurant would have been the torn bread that they served, it was on par with the bread found in France. I wish that I could order just the bread for take out.
In general, I enjoyed the appetizers and desserts, some of which surprised me. But mean courses did not meet my expectation, some were too salty and some were to sour, those heavy flavor make food lost the balance of taste. For the choice of plates, it looks very simple and it goes perfectly with each dish. The lady who ordered our drinks and took our bill was very friendly and provided nice service.
Everything was fabulous and good. A lot of interesting flavors. I thought the blue cheese butter with the torn flavor was very good paired with the soup. I could see why some of the lower reviews mentioned it was too sour or too salty but i think the restaurant is trying to highlight the flavors in their dishes which they captured.

This has been a staple in Vancouver and a solid dining spot for years. I came here recently to try their set menu that was around in the summer and it did not disappoint. For the price point you get quite a lot of food and a great dining experience. They deliver on the food, it’s properly cooked and flavoured, the service is top notch, and their cocktails are delicious. Will definitely look forward to another visit in the future.
This place is so lovely. Mussels and French fries are the perfect combination. We spent our anniversary here and we’ll remember it for a long time. Make sure you book a reservation!
Came here in a week day evening for their $50 set menu. You get to choose from two items for each course and there's a total of 3 courses. I ordered the char for my main and it was really good. My husband ordered the hen 3 ways but it's very salty. I didn't like it that much. The dessert, Palova was very well made and so delicious. The chocolate cheesecake was okay, nothing too surprising. Overall, the meal was good except for the hen dish. Server was attentive and the restaurant wasn't loud.

To call this tasting menu merely 'good' would be a hyperbole; it transcends culinary excellence. In the language of gastronomy, a restaurant embodies the quality of its ingredients, balance and harmony of its flavours, chef's technique and unique expressions. Equally crucial is the consistency maintained across the entire menu and sustained over time. The chef's dishes present a paradox: they are overwhelmingly good yet remarkably balanced, each bite a harmonious blend of intense flavors. The restaurant ambience is gentle, inviting while the knowledgeable team orchestrated each dining experience with precision and grace. The restaurant experience is a simile for an unforgettable journey, touching the soul in ways that linger long after the last course has been. Thank for you , for the second time .
I recently enjoyed a tasting course with wine pairing at this restaurant, and it was truly a memorable experience. The food was phenomenal, and the service was attentive and professional. My only minor gripe was the mandatory 20% tip, which I felt took away the option to personally decide the tip amount based on my experience. Overall, though, it was a fantastic evening that I would highly recommend to others.
Booked a reservation weeks in advance and was well worth it. I enjoyed all the courses and exploring different flavor combinations with no prior expectations. I was also delighted by the cocktails, Do it For the Data is worth a try. Staff were very friendly and came frequently to make sure we had enough water for the table. I appreciated the parting gift and was given a list of the course after the meal to review the plates I got. Would come back for seasonal options

Rob Feenie's cuisine was best demonstrated when he was at Lumiere where food was the most interesting. Him going to Le Crocodile and following only the classical tradition of the restaurant lacks innovation. At least they should have some offerings that are more innovative. I miss his french onion soup during his time at Lumiere. Food is generally consistent in quality, classical in flavour, but the quality of the dessert has decreased substantially during my last visit. I was quite disappointed. Service is generally good. Food is a 4 star by Vancouver standard, but a 3 star by international standard.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at the newly re-opened space. The food was elegant, not overly heavy, with plenty of options that make you think “next time I come, I want to try that”. There were the French classics but also other contemporary options which I appreciated. Highly recommend the halibut and endive salad. I rarely have desserts out but I’m glad I did here. Alsace tart was A++. The service was excellent. Our server Jesse, made us feel welcome, was engaging without being overly so, and truly elevated our whole experience. All the staff we spoke with were warm and you could tell were working hard to make sure everyone’s dining experience was top-tier. Thank you to the team for a special meal. Looking forward to our next visit!
Amazing service, wonderful food, romantic atmosphere! Definitely I would comeback for sure. We received very impressive treatment from Steve, Sahar, Matt, Alex and Jordana. Thank all!

What a great find! Our server was fantastic and so were the cocktails! The fried chicken, Dutch Baby, and lobster and crab Benny were all fantastic! The English muffin in the Benny was wildly soft, clearly some sort of black magic! I can't wait to go back!
Took our nephew out for a 32nd birthday dinner. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Mimi was our server. She was GREAT! Recommended the sausage risotto....my husband loved it. Her level of service was spot on ... attentive but not constantly stopping by the table. The guys had the tequila old fashions and I had the black walnut old fashion. Old fashions are our drink of choice .... these were tasty! We will definitely be back and highly worth checking out.
Truly enjoyed a good, satisfying meal with friends in a fun, funky, uptown atmosphere. Extensive wine, beer, small plate and lunch selections. The halibut fish tacos were very good, as were the philly steak sandwich and pot stickers. The happy hour and dinner menus look good as well, and we enjoyed hearing about Italian and wine night events too. We’ll be back!

My husband and I just had a date here last night, I am so glad we tried something new. This place was absolutely DELICIOUS! the workers were amazing, drinks were good, the overall look and feel of this place was beautiful. Not to mention the burger was to die for!!!
We ordered the Sedgwick salad, the ribeye, the pork belly yakitori, and the chicken yakitori. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The salad was not flavorful, and it needed more salt. It would have tasted a lot better if it had some walnuts and feta cheese in it. The steak was not cooked evenly, and I had difficulty cutting into it. It also was not flavorful. It did not melt in my mouth. The pork and chicken yakitori were okay. The pork and chicken were drenched in a heavy BBQ sauce that was too sweet. The chicken was soft, but the pork was not very soft. Our server was amiable and attentive. However, the food was disappointing. I’m giving the Sedgwick one star because the food was disappointing, and it was also expensive.
One of the best, and most relaxed dining experiences I've gad in Vancouver. Staff seems to enjoy what they do a lot, and we felt right at home. Food blew me away with the consistency and the depth of flavor of each plate. Clearly well thought out and executed.

We went to The Cove for our anniversary dinner tonight. We tried all new things to us. Starter was the crab cakes. So. Good. Lots more crab than cake. And the accompanying slaw was great on its own. We split a bottle of Ridge red blend (succulent). She got the salmon with mash and I got the scallops with risotto. Both were fantastic. We finished with their specialty, butter cake for dessert. So good and scrumptious. The service was wonderful. The view amazing. Especially at sunset. — eating dinner at The Cove Restaurant.
I recently dined at The Cove and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the wood-grilled Ora King Salmon, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and with that delicious smoky finish that only a wood grill can bring. I paired it with a cocktail that was both refreshing and expertly crafted. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service from our server, Hunter. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, Hunter made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend The Cove for its great food, cocktails, and outstanding service. Can’t wait to come back!
Immaculate service from the moment you walk in the door. Extremely friendly staff and most of all attentive. Our server, Gianna, was a delight and was super knowledgeable of the menu and was able to guide us towards perfect choices! The seafood was spectacular! The daily salmon roll with lemon belongs permanently on the menu. The atmosphere was incredible, especially during sunset. Will 100% recommend to anyone in the area. Especially with how close it is to PDX.

Best food and drinks we've had in southwest Washington. My wife had the seafood pasta and I had their filet mignon. Cooked it perfection and fresh ingredients no doubt. Service was absolutely delightful, excellent hospitality. Absolutely worth the price. I can't recommend them enough. Spanish coffee drinks were great as well and will definitely melt your stress away.
Amazing food with upscale presentation. Attended with coworkers for a team dinner on a mid-week. Service is fast and professional. The atmosphere is on point with an old-school log cabin feel that represents the history, culture, and community.
We recently dined at Hudson's Bar & Grill for a special occasion, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, a few details left room for improvement. First, the positives: the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. However, there were a couple of missteps that impacted the evening. Despite having made a reservation for our special occasion, we were seated in the bar area, even though there was seating available in the main dining room. This was disappointing, as we were looking forward to the more formal dining experience. Additionally, we were surprised to see a credit card surcharge added to our bill without prior notification. Transparency about such fees would have been appreciated. A word of caution for anyone coming to dine: please look carefully at your bill before adding tip. We never pay these fees because restaurants (and other businesses) can deduct credit card processing fees as a business expense when filing taxes. These fees are considered part of the costs of doing business and should never be passed onto patrons. Overall, the quality of the food and service made for an enjoyable evening, but these details kept the experience from being exceptional. We hope these issues can be addressed, as Hudson's Bar & Grill has the potential to truly shine.

We love eating here and visit regularly. Jess, our favorite waitress is always super friendly and the best at what she does. My wife is obsessed with the cabbage rolls, however you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Good beer on tap, awesome staff, warm atmosphere. We love this place.
My boyfriend took me here last night for my Birthday dinner and it was amazing! Our waitress was so sweet and nice, no long wait, the food was delicious, and we loved the atmosphere! Such a perfect Birthday date night! We'll definitely be coming again. Thanks Gustavs!
Awesome service and great food. Almost like a walk through Germany! The fondue is so great! And I recommend a pairing of fondue with the chicken schnitzel. You're welcome!!

I ordered a burger from the Burger Week special and surprisingly it was better than it looked. Chicken fried patty, lettuce, tomato, and egg salad. It has more fancy descriptions but really that's all you need to know. It was a unique experience that I enjoyed far more than I expected to enjoy. The brussel sprouts were good but definitely order the mustard-mayo on the side because it adds nothing. The pretzel was good, but the pimento sauce stuff was suspicious. I ended up mixing the mustard and cheese sauces.
Tried breakfast here with the whole family during our dughter's dance event at the Hilton Hotel in Vancouver WA since it's location is very convenient to us. We love the quite and upscale atmosphere and food was delicious. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and although the portion was a bit small, it was very flavorful. We also got the silver dollar pancake and we appreciate that they were able to customized the omelette to my husband's liking. Coffee was also better tasting compared to most breakfast places we've been to and service was friendly and prompt. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience for our family
Had a wonderful dinner of giant pretzel, corn salad, halibut fish and bbq pulled pork sandwich. Our server was top notch, checking in on us and even helped us celebrate our anniversary with a special treat. :) Highly recommend when you want to have a nice, quiet and chill upscale dinner with park views instead of dining at noisy Vancouver waterfront eateries.
Grassa is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to redefining the culinary experience through high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients. With a passion for gastronomy,…
Grassa stands out from the other restaurants on the waterfront with a casual atmosphere and reasonable prices. It's an 'order and sit' type establishment. Seating can be an issue at times. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The menu isn't large, but the options are great - including the wine and beer. The atmosphere is casual with communal tables. Service is what you would expect for an 'order and find your own table' restaurant.
Grassa, a recent addition to Vancouver's waterfront, offers a delightful casual dining experience focused on fresh pasta and flavorful sauces. The restaurant's spacious interior features floor-to-ceiling windows and white tiles, creating a bright, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a large ceramic bowl. The menu boasts a variety of pasta dishes ($9-$17), salads, meatballs, and garlic bread, complemented by a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Standout options include the Caesar salad, Grassa meatballs, and pasta dishes like carbonara, rigatoni with Sunday pork ragu, and fusilli alla vodka. While the punk-rock vibe of its Portland counterparts is subtler here, Grassa maintains its signature style with tattoo-art paintings of the chain's eagle logo. The restaurant's arrival in Vancouver is a welcome addition to the local dining scene, potentially paving the way for more high-quality establishments in the area. With its fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, and waterfront location, Grassa is definitely worth a visit for pasta lovers and casual diners alike.
The place was so clean and calm. I sat at the area where you can watch the pasta being prepared, it was such a nice environment. I got the black truffle pappardelle and fried Brussels sprouts. Everything tasted so fresh and the mustard seed aioli they toss the Brussels sprouts in was heaven sent! You order at the counter, they give you a number and you seat yourself. I’d definitely go back to try another pasta dish and get those sprouts!!

Love it! Wished I tried the chicken dumplings that I really wanted. I decided on the halibut, which was great with asparagus. The hit was the cream sauce brussel sprouts!
My drink was really good (lime in the coconut?) and my friend enjoyed her margarita. She got the shrimp po boy and that was tasty, I got the happy hour sliders and acouple tacos. The chef taco, which was brisket that day, was WAY too salty. Everything else tasted pretty good. I would def recommend this place for a drink and a little bite.
3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered were good. They like creamy chipotle sauce here. It was on our appetizer and sandwiches. It was good. The shrimp poor boy was dry and the shrimp was fried. The service was nice. The steak appetizer was good as well as the BLT and fish tacos.

Super delicious food. Quality and presentation is above and beyond. So glad I got to give this place a try. Can’t express enough how this place is a must try if you’re in the area and looking for some delicious and unique option. Tried the 6 course tasting meal was a great option to try a little bit of what Elements has to offer. Also cocktails were exceptional
What a great place to dine! We shared the Brie and Dungeness Crab fondue(easily shareable for 3-4) which was as good as it sounds! I had the Venison(seasonal) with pumpkin gnocchi and blueberry reduction-amazing! Ended with the dark chocolate tart-rich enough to be shared
Recently had brunch at Elements Restaurant and felt compelled to share my recent experience. The service I received there was exceptional, the server was attentive and well-versed in the menu, delivering a delightful brunch service. Alongside using locally sourced ingredients, they also offer a fantastic variety of craft cocktails created by their staff. It was a nice touch to see each staff member credited for their creativity on the menu.

It's a pricey restaurant, but it's worth it for special occasions. The quality of the food and drinks are high-end, impressive, and delicious. The inside is nice and clean, and the staff are classy and professional. Our server was sweet and fun while he prepared our salad and made dressing from scratch in front of us.
What a great dinner and Karen was one of the better severs I have ever had. Service is beyond good food was great I can't think of one bad thing to say which is very rare for me I can be very critical of restaurants. Also one last thing the to go bag system is the best make sure you check that out.
This place is pretty good. The rooftop lounge is fun, the help is young but friendly and hard working. Vancouver did a good job converting an old paper mill into a nice place, check Vancouver Waterfront Park out if you get a chance. Hopefully in the future they continue this river path, maybe all the way to Astoria! The city should find a nice industrial place for that Asphalt and fuel depot at the West end of this path, then build a cool bike, skate, scooter, mt. bike, park there, so all the scofflaws riding on the path now have a place to ride legally. And/Or maybe make a bike, skate, scooter, mt. bike lane , separate from the walking lane? Some of those kids are flying down that path pretty dang fast.

My husband and I brought his sister & husband for their anniversary dinner. Food was amazing and delicious. Ordered the guacamole and the crispy pork belly skewers to start with. The picture worthy drink are ok but way overpriced. We knew we would be paying for the location and atmosphere but we’re in for a major shock when we got the bill and saw the tomahawk steak we shared was $250 plus another $50 for the lobster (which we were aware of its price). The lobster was smaller than expected and would not release from its shell at all.. though its flavor was really good. Also note this.. for a $250 steak you would expect to get some sort of vegetable or potato. When you order the steak that’s all you get. Will be back but will stick with the starters which are priced accordingly and very delicious.
Drinks menu disappointed as it’s more juice mixer & ice than alcohol content, not worth your money, very poor mixology quality experience, didn’t wanted to order anymore drinks after this margarita flight sampler. Thought their food menu was gonna do better but it just worsen the experience as it was cold & not very good seasoned, especially from the Yucatán style chicken. Had very little flavor & didn't taste good at all. Overall, you are just here for a view to the waterfront river, not much to say both drink & food menu need to be re-evaluated because it left a sour impression, especially for their price ranges. Unacceptable 100%
I recently dined at Dosalas and had an overall delightful experience. The food was delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The view of the river from our table added a picturesque charm to our meal, making the ambiance truly special. Our waitress was amazing, providing excellent service with a friendly and attentive demeanor. Although the wait for the food was longer than expected, she apologized sincerely, which was appreciated. Her professionalism and warmth made the wait much more bearable. Despite the wait, the quality of the food and the exceptional service made it worth the visit. I highly recommend Dosalas for a memorable dining experience.
