Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Trochu – 2024

We had lunch there today. Perfectly clean. Bill for two was $17. Homemade soup and grilled cheese for 1 7.99, and bacon and eggs with toast and coffee for $6.99. And we missed the specials. Excellent service. Well done folks. One hint. No mayo on grilled cheese.

I enjoy going here for breakfast. Nice people 2 people coffee 6.99 each 2 eggs, 2 waffles, 2 sausage, coffee with refill. Great choice

Haven't been in here for a while but is a fun place for a night out with hometown friends.

I had the Tapsilog. I have been on a diet and and told myself I would not eat the rice to reduce the calories. I ate every last piece of rice. The garlic, oil, and what I guess was some kind of ham or bacon made the rice irresistible yet light. The beef had a great flavor and an enjoyable crust, and the egg was fried well enough to satisfy even those who are picky about egg doneness such as myself. The menu would benefit greatly from brief descriptions of the Filipino food, as many of the clientele like me are new to the food.

Ate for the first time at Trochu Cafe and Restaurant. It was FANTASTIC! We had simple cheese burger, chicken burger, fries, onion or rings and cheese sticks and everything was delicious. I could tell the burgers were home made. Very happy and full! Will be back again very soon. Looking forward to trying the Asian and Filipino dishes. Thanks guy! I forgot to get your name.

Cute small town energy, the owner took the time to get to know me and makes amazing food whether it be American cuisine or Asian, the food has been very tasty and the service too!

The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. They gave me other means on getting help from three hills, my town.

Jamie at the town of Trochu was super helpful and nice. She helped us through the whole process replying quickly and effectively.

I had a great meal at the Sweetgrass cafe at the Arboretum. The staff were so professional and friendly, I felt right at home.

ImThe park was full of friendly vendors and the local fair was on. The flowers were lovely and park well groomed. I wish the unusual plants were marked by name & species. It has a quaint pond and the most beautiful Canna lily foliage I have ever seen.

It's a hidden gem. My family and I stopped here on our way from Edmonton to Drumheller. The garden is peaceful and beautifully maintained by the local community. The people are very kind. Please consider making a donation to help maintain this large lovely garden.

Nice Garden and Arboretum. Lots of interesting trees, shrubs and flowers. Well worth a visit even if it’s not ‘in season’ for the growing year.

It was great! The food and service, great! Multiple items were unavailable by the time we came for lunch passing through town so it's obviously a favorite for people nearby but on the way out after paying we noticed the sign for the special stated 2 sides. We were only offered 1 side each with our orders of the special. That's why 4* instead of 5* otherwise it's a 4.5 star which rounds up to 5 stars.

I was completely BLOWN AWAY by this place... The burgers are huge and tasty. The service was friendly and I really was surprised at how many people were there... it's a small town but the restaurant was PACKED . GREAT EXPERIENCE !

We stopped by when passing through and it was a great time. The service was good and the food was tasty, great prices too! The decor is 50s style so it was pretty cool inside as well, would recommend!

Fantastic food. I was shocked to see authentic Chinese food in such a small town. It really is amazing! The owners are from China and my wife had a lovely conversation with them in Mandarin. It is a lovely couple that work together to bring you a wonderful experience. The food isn’t salty and it has great flavours. You can choose from their specials or from their large menu. The food is cooked with all fresh ingredients and made to order. I will be back!

Forgot to post this AMAZING SPOT. I was in Trochu for the thanksgiving weekend and WOW. This is the best place in town to grab a bite to eat. Absolutely wonderful people who run this place. Even got to meet Lazy Susan herself, the cutest kindest person. Haven’t had such a good home cooked meal in a long time. CANT WAIT to come back. Thank you for your wonderful service and food ❤️

Ok, so I can not even put into words as for how much I have fallen in love with this small town restaurant. The size of meals are no joke - they feed you full and feed you well! Shoutout for 5/5 service, made the meal all much more delightful, and the recommendations/specials hit the spot. Ps would give 500/5 stars if i could strictly regarding the zucchini chocolate cake

The food was so delicious! We have ordered from here multiple times and love the people and ambience. It’s the perfect place to gather for a homemade meal and some R&R.

I had a really tasty latte!! Clean and the food was good too. They don’t have a sign out front though so we weren’t sure it was the place. Definitely need some signage, I bet lots of people miss it.

We just had a wonderful meal; Ginger Beef Rice Bowl and Honey Garlic Pork Rice Bowl. Both were delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. The gentle music gave it a nice relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Insanely clean and enjoyable atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Got the beef bulgogi and it was to die for, with the most perfect runny egg on top. Hard to beat prices for a full combo.
