Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Tifton – 2024

We ate there about 4 years ago and it was absolutely amazing. Wasn’t quite as good this time but was still very good. I was slightly disappointed but like I said. My fiancée was happy with her meal though. Our waiter was awesome and also recommend the dessert.

First time visiting this restaurant. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food was awesome, not too expensive, and had large portions. You certainly get your money's worth. Everything tasted phenomenal. The waiter was very friendly, welcoming, and prompt. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is because the hostess was borderline rude and dismissive. I felt that she wanted to be anywhere except getting us to our table. On top of that, she sat us on a table that had not been cleaned. There was rice on the table, and the surface was sticky and still had the wet rings from the drinks of the previous patrons who sat there. Finally, she only tossed (literally tossed, and ran off like she had better things to do) our menus on the table and did not ensure we had silverware. It wasn't until the waiter brought our food that the missing silverware was discovered. Then we had to wait to eat while he went to get it for us.

TL;DR: Food is good. Prices are high but might be justifiable in this economy, service is hit or miss. Let me start off by saying that the food is quite good. They are definitely better than average for a small town mexican restaurant. I've been a handful of times and I've really liked everything I've gotten so far. The service is REALLY hit or miss. Sometimes the server takes great care of you, sometimes it's like you don't exist. The last time I went, my friend and I ordered a cheese dip. We weren't given enough chips to finish the dip, much less touch the salsa (Nit-pick, I know). We had to flag him down to get refills, and he only checked on us once after taking our order. The kitchen seems to be fairly disorganized because I see a lot of tables served one dish at a time instead of all together. On this occasion, I was served, and then I waited for my friend to get his food, which took about 15 minutes. We ate for about 20 minutes. After we had finished, it took an additional 15-20 minutes for the waiter to resurface and get the checks. This isn't a typical experience here, but it isn't nearly as uncommon as it should be. Also, with a water, a small cheese dip, and an entree I was out ~$22 pre-tip. I don't think the portion sizes or quality justify the price, but I might have been spoiled by better offerings back home in Athens. There ARE entrees around $10 but most run $12-16. Small cheese dip is $4.19.

Food was really good Texmex style! Delicious perfectly cooked steaks! Amazing flavors! The atmosphere sphere was so different from anything I’ve been to before and we loved it!

The food is reliably good. The service is usually friendly and pretty fast. The prices are substantially higher than several if not most or all of the other Mexican restaurants in town. Will have to limit my visits. Entirely too many other places with excellent food, service and much better prices.

Service could have been better but the place was decorating very nicely and the fiesta bowl was healthy and tasted great. Enjoyed the Margherita!

First time trying. Loved the family feel. Greeted at front door, felt very welcomed and appreciated. Food was excellent. Chicken was perfectly cooked, breast was moist. Enjoyed a taste of oxtail off my son in laws plate. Peach cobbler was unique and addictive!! Beautiful young lady with joyful smile and delighted eyes was our attendant, I think her name was Lyric. We will be back!

I was welcomed and greeted in. There was a board with the menu listed on it. Customer service was good. The desserts were not my tastebuds friendly. I chose the Turkey wings, white rice, collard greens and corn bread. I also had pink lemonade to drink. I actual forgot to grab a receipt but around $15-$20.

Lord have mercy. What a fantastic meal. Turkey wings, creamed corn, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn bread, huge sweet tea, and peach cobbler for $14.50??? Great deal. The taste feels so authentic to the south. Plus, the people were super nice.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but after the fantastic food and service we experienced yesterday, I had to share. First off, the ambiance is gorgeous—a warm, intimate, industrial vibe. Perfect for a date night, gathering with friends, or even a solo meal. Our server, Briana (hope I got that spelling right!), was outstanding! She knew the menu inside out and gave such great recommendations that I found myself ordering dishes I’d never normally try—and every single one was worth it. I’m already planning to request her next time; I’ve never felt that way about a server before! The food? Incredible. Everything came out hot, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully cooked. We started with the fried ravioli, and even as someone who usually skips red sauce, theirs was delicious. I had the surf and turf (not on the menu but worth asking for!), and my date ordered the lasagna, which came in the cutest little baking dish. He took one bite, closed his eyes, smiled, and I knew he was sold. I might have to sneak back for that lasagna myself! Long story short, if you’re looking for top-notch service, a lovely atmosphere, and delicious food, this place is a must. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Stumbled in this hidden gem (not no hidden). Our server was Julian and he took absolute great care of us and made us feel really at home. I would recommend this resturant to anyone who loves good Italian homemade dishes that comes with great service.

Incredible! Just passing through town and found this gem. The pasta was the freshest I've ever had. I had the Braised Spare Rib special and my husband had the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stop again. Our server was also very attentive and took great care of us.

The food is good, The atmosphere was great , the server are friendly, but they can do better on taking the costumer orders we had to wait more than 20 min before someone came by our table after we were seated.

We stopped in and ate on our way through town. We were so excited based on the reviews. But this was a huge disappointment. Reply to owner: none of the things I gave this review about has anything to do with the hurricane. Don’t use that as an excuse for poor restaurant conditions. No soap in the bathroom, urine all over the floors of the bathroom, food was overcooked and overpriced, service was minimal despite the restaurant being at less than 50% capacity with 4 servers.

I've found about 6 Mexican restaurants in the area. There are more highly advertised ones in the area. If you like good food, this is the place! Their food is more authentic, better priced, better quality, and what you're looking for. And if you like beer, and I know do, they have $10 towers on Sunday.

Seriously, best pizza! Music on point. Live bands and great staff. A must visit. Drink a beer, stay a few, and you'll see the atmosphere is amazing, always. Best freaking salad, too. This dressing is everything!!!! Their ranch... I need it in my fridge for near daily use. Thank you, guys, for such great experiences every time. New day, new experience... the food is amazing, but you know it's excellent when you crave their carrot sticks. Wow... new day, new experience. If you wanna feel like family, come here. Shannon is one of the best bartenders I've ever had. She is on point every time. The owner is there all the time greeting guests... and let me add the food is his recipes. It brings joy to your mouth. The band was Ten Mile Bay.. they were spectacular. I highly recommend looking them up and book them for an event. As always. Thanks guys

This hidden gem may not look like much from the outside, but inside is a lively pub style restaurant with delicious burgers and ample choices of spirits. The pub burger and the (Lakyn recommended) fried chicken pub sandwich were perfect. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were delicious. And the dogs were beating Auburn.

I was in town on business and chose this hole in the wall based on reviews. It did not disappoint. The place isn’t much to look at but that adds character. I was served the best wings I’ve ever eaten. I also got a ten inch pizza that was perfectly cooked and at a good price. My server was friendly and knowledgeable. The health score was 100 on the latest inspection. I only wish they would start accepting American Express so I can stop here next time I am in town. I’m supposed to put all my travel expenses on the corporate card. But do yourself a favor and go check out this fun dive bar.

Top notch fresh seafood at a very affordable price. The service was top notch. I highly recommend the deviled crab and grilled shrimp. The cole slaw and baked potato was outstanding sides. The entire meal including drink was $17.00

Delicious! My sister's and I decided to try this restaurant out and we were not disappointed. The serving size will not leave you hungry. I had the flounder and shrimp special and all I can say is "umm umm good!" The coleslaw was delicious , the hushpuppies were nice and fluffy and the cheese grits added a filler. When you go ,and I recommend that you do, have a healthy appetite.

I really enjoyed my visit to Charles Seafood. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The employee who took my Togo order provided great customer service. My order was ready fast. All of the meals I ordered were hot, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the cheese grits. The food is very filling and very affordable.

The food is good and good size portions but the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the chicken had a little bit to much salt

I absolutely love the Steak and Shrimp with mushrooms and broccoli. The only thing is you need to ask the steak smaller or use a knife to cut it up yourself.

Stopped by here after work and had a great experience. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which was perfect for solo dining. The service was quick and attentive, with Ibrahim ensuring I always had a drink in hand. I tried the Chicken Steak and a house specialty appetizer—both were bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The vibe is upscale yet welcoming, with a young and lively crowd. Definitely a great spot to grab a quick but high-quality meal!

Escaping for a Sunday afternoon at here was such a treat! Their all-day happy hour was an unexpected bonus. The Snapper was a favorite, and I loved that they could customize dishes to your preferences. The drinks, especially the house specials, were reasonably priced and delicious. This place is perfect for unwinding and enjoying a fantastic meal. Highly recommend!

Hip Hop Seafood & Chicken is a beautifully designed restaurant that always delivers on flavor. We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get a spot quickly. We started with their shrimp appetizers and moved on to the Hip Hop Chicken burger. The food arrived fast and was absolutely delicious—perfect for stepping outside your comfort zone and trying new flavors. The reasonable pricing is another big plus!

Stopped in for lunch and was served very quickly. The food absolutely hit the spot in terms of BBQ. The portion sizes are smaller than most other places in SOWEGA, but I like it as it's not too much or little. It's just right. The prices are also decent at $11 for the big tex combo, well worth it for the flavor. I recommend this restaurant!

The BBQ was tender and had a good taste to it. There was no noticeable fat in our sandwiches. My fries were fully cooked, but had spent some time sitting under a heat lamp and were only warm at best. Buns were not toasted or even heated, they were room temperature. My wife declared the potato salad as “okay.” We both had a different sauce and thought each was good. The restaurant is a fast food place. You go to a counter, place your order, pay, you get a cup and a number, you get your own drinks, napkins, salt and pepper, you pick your seat. When your food is ready a food runner brings it out. What doesn’t make sense to me is why they want to add a tip to your order when you pay. I’ve never liked the idea of tipping before I get the service, but I especially don’t like tipping when a tip isn’t due. A food runner at a fast food restaurant isn’t due a tip. You tip a waiter or waitress, not a food runner. The restaurant should be paying the food runners a fair wage and tips shouldn’t be necessary (example, Chick Fil A, Dairy Queen).

Hey I’d highly recommend you stop by if your in the area. I had the ribs and pulled pork. Man that was great! Tender and juicy. Fantastic! And the hog sweet sauce is fantastic. I was too full to get a dessert so I’ll make a point to stop in again. The locals were so friendly and pleasant.

First time I’ve tired this seafood spot the food is delicious and worth the money you get lots of food couldn’t eat it all in one sitting

I liked the seafood. I think it would’ve been better without the sweet garlic sauce. They don’t give you refills.. it’s no waitress service you basically just there to eat. But they was nice stuff. I guess I was expecting juicy seasoning crabs. Overall I will try again just do garlic butter on my seafood.

Had 2 clusters with the house sauce , sausage, corn, sweet tea. The sauce to me was sweet and a little spicy. It was just perfect. The sauce went great with everything to be honest. The sweet had the perfect amount no of sugar as well. They staff were very nice and attentive. The food came out super fast, but cooked perfectly. When I’m in the area again I would say one back!

My party stopped by this local Chili's after 1pm on a Saturday. It was fairly busy at that time with a lot of ABAC students and their families eating together during the last weekend before school starts. We were seated immediately, but did have to wait a little bit before we were greeted by the server. The drinks came along with the chips/salsa. We always enjoy the chips appetizer at Chili's. I ordered the potato soup and a side ceasar salad. The soup came first. A little grainy, and the top portion looked like it had sat at the window for a bit. Good flavor though. The salad came next, and it was good. My wife got the triple decker app as an entree. She enjoyed what she could, and had to get a to-go box for most of it. A huge portion! I did have to wait a bit for my drink glass to be refilled. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and in good shape. This was a good restaurant overall.

Our family was traveling down to Orlando and needed to stop for lunch. Stopping here was so much better than ordering from a fast food place. All of us had lunch and dessert for under $40 before tip. Food was excellent and service was great.

Good in looks but not in taste. I don't know where to begin. To start off the potatoes not even joking tasted like classic bubble gum. The steak was good at first until you realize it's mostly fat. You could taste the freezer burn on the absurdly dry broccoli it definitely wasn't fresh. The mest on the ribs where pointy and flakey just tasted off. And the chicken just tasted boring. The service was good but the food was terrible.

While passing Northbound on 75, we decided to stop for dinner at Pit Stop BBQ and Grill. We entered and were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was Tammy. She was AWESOME. We ordered Brunswick Stew the Beef Platter (which came with 2 sides), and the Pork Platter (which also came with 2 sides). The food was served FAST, HOT, and Delicious. The portion sizes were giant, and the prices were not (giant). Everything was priced very fair. Their sweet tea was amazing too. On our way out , we accidentally (wink-wink) walked by their dessert counter and selected a Cookies and Cream slice of Cake and a Strawberry slice of cake to take out. They were also both incredible. We will now stop here every time we pass through. Tammy was super duper nice, very diligently working and seemed friendly to everyone who came in. This place is a MUST VISIT!!!!

Came in looking for Brisket. Bought the sliced beef which is essentially a large pile of roast beef sliced thin. There was no bark and if you use your imagination, you can almost perceive a hint of a smoke ring. Exceptional Service by Staff! Plain and simple Comfort Food. Everything was Good and the only exceptional is the Staff. Prices were very reasonable. Cold Beer in a frosted mug.

Convenient to UGA Tifton campus and good BBQ with a variety of sauce options. Pickles were horrible, but we don’t go to BBQ places for pickles. Food was good, clean atmosphere, but there’s something to be had for those hole in the wall BBQ places and this isn’t one of them.

Absolutely delicious. Friendly service! The biscuit was on point. Obviously a local family owned place. Great prices and filling portions!

This place is very popular because of the portions in cheap prices. Order at the counter and they call you when it's ready. Although it was nice to have a hot meal, the quality was mediocre.

11/21/2023 It took me a year, but I stopped again. This place is packed, and the drive-thru is backed up. Ordered steak, egg, cheese, white bread, with mayo. It looked good and was delicious. The crust on the steak was crispy and well seasoned. Every town needs a place like this. It's cheaper than the chains. 11/2022 I never knew this place was here. Made a breakfast stop with a friend. Service a tad slow but excellent. The food was excellent & large and quite delicious. We were not interested in lunch even at 2:00 p.m. Will definitely visit again.
