This place was extraordinary! The service was exemplary, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Brunch with friends was perfect. I can't say enough about my experience! Try them for yourself!
In town for work, so looked up random places. Took me a bit to decide as they have quite a few choices but decided on the cheese fondue. Overall, it is not worth the price to me. It came with a handful of pretzels, a small bowl of French fries, cooked broccoli that was too soft to dip, and half an apple. After a couple of minutes, the cheese started to cool and coagulate. Execution could be better. I also got the grilled shrimp entrée with broccoli (I didn't know the fondue also came with it or I wouldn't have) and mac and cheese. The shrimp were delicious, very well seasoned, and a nice kick. The broccoli was also very well prepared and seasoned properly. The mac and cheese was not great but also not bad. Although it was not macaroni, it was bowtie. Couldn't decide on a dessert sp I got a slice of cheesecake and a slice of rainbow. Cheesecake was delicious! The rainbow cake was good also, but very sweet. I'd definitely like to try some other things here!
One of our favorite places to eat. The food and service are always excellent. The portions are huge.

Amazing place! Had the steak bowl and the Philly burger. Awesome. And their waffle fries with garlic parm..please get that. Service was supreme. They are so nice! Will definitely come here again
My family are from Virginia Beach and came out to Suffolk for the wreath laying ceremony at the cemetary. We stopped here for a quick lunch . We were pleasantly surprised when we tasted all of our plates. The food was exceptionally delicious. This place is a definite stop from now on! Try it! It’s amazing!
Great news, it’s worth the drive from an hour and 15 minutes away. I will return for more great tasting food. The menu if full of delicious tasting food for everyone. The wings are great tasting with my favorite being the honey sriracha, old bay, and buffalo. I will try the other flavors next trip. The public loaded waffle fries are great as well as the house salad. We also tried the catfish nuggets and this also is a must try. Most importantly the service, the workers were very friendly. The food is served hot and tasty. Check out the full menu as it’s hard to decide…lol

Super clean and organized location, loved the decoration. The wrap was all fresh and tasted really good. I'm ordering again no doubt
I love the menu it has great character! The atmosphere is busy but in a keep moving kind of way, the service was fast and friendly. I got the Mediterranean salad with salmon yummy. The portions are just right to have a bit extra for a late healthy snack. You will be seeing me again soon! Very good
I walk a minute of 2 prior to 7 not knowing the cafe closed at 7. No one on the staff says hello. I browse. Look at the deli section, dessert section, then go to the register and start looking at the menu. While I do this there is 6 or so staff walking around talking about fixing food for themselves. Finally as I'm ready to order 6 minutes after 7 one staff member comes up to the register to say sorry we're closed. So not one of the 6 or so staff members roaming the floor and back behind the counter couldn't say to me when I walked in as another customer held the door for me as she walked out that they were closed at that time or say we have a few minutes before we close and we're not taking anymore orders. The customer service needs to be better. If the entire staff can't take initiative to greet a customer but say I'm sorry were closed there is a problem. So much so that I took the time to write this review in the parking like. I'm a reasonable person but you let me spend time in the store deciding what to order.

Celebrated our anniversary here and it was an amazing experience. Our hostess was incredibly kind, and the food was outstanding. Glad we decided to cheer to 21 years here!
What an amazing experience. Our server Nicole was not only attentive but very personable and knowledgeable. Our steaks came out perfect and the restaurant was top notch. Long live amuse bouche.
River Stone Chophouse is exactly what you’d expect, without being cliche. It has a great atmosphere that is both elegant and comfortable. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The menu is extensive enough to offer everyone a choice and narrow enough that you’re truly getting the chef’s best. It’s a favorite for business and pleasure.

Yum for real y'all! 1st visit to Renee's as recommended by the staff of Autumn Care! No disappointments here. Service was super friendly and well versed in the options and prep of the meals. We enjoyed the Spicy Honey Garlic Pork Chops --- that sauce is Sooo good! Side of some of the best String Beans in town & good Yams too. Also, the Parmesean Crusted Salmon - 5oz of baked goodness. And lastly, the best chopped liver, gravy & rice in town. Tender & full of flavor with Mac & cheese!! And for down home southerners - there were chitterlings being served today!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Food was good, try those philly egg rolls and the crab dip. The service and hospitality was even better! Please go patronize this establishment, I think you will be glad you did.
First time dining here, and I will DEFINITELY be back. I ordered to go but it was still piping hot when I got home. I had the parmesean crusted salmon, green beans, and mac n cheese. All of it was simply delicious! I do not have one complaint. Surprisingly, my favorite dish was the green beans, they were seasoned to ultimate perfection. I can't wait to try more things on the menu. Keep up the good work Renee's! See you soon.

Came here on our Virginia Visit last week and we had a great time there. The food was delicious and the service was really good. Chef came specially to meet us and recommend his beat dishes to try. Over all great restaurant.
Came here with a friend to check out the new location and we had the best time! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I follow a vegan diet and they were very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back:)
My family and I absolutely love dining at Rajput! It has become our go-to spot for Sunday meals, and every visit is a delight. The lamb dishes are incredibly flavorful, cooked to perfection every time. One of the highlights for us is their Sunday buffet, which offers a phenomenal variety of dishes—truly something for everyone! It is a special part of our weekend tradition . The staff is always welcoming, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Whether it’s for the incredible lamb or the fantastic buffet, Rajput has earned a special place in our hearts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious and authentic cuisine!

We stopped by late on a Monday night when it wasn’t busy. The staff were pleasant and the food was delicious. Its decor is military themed which is a nice treat as you don’t see that often anymore. They also offer a military discount. Husband got the shepherds pie and I decided on the biscuits and sausage gravy. Portions size was big (we both had leftovers to take with us). I’d definitely recommend giving this place a visit.
This was our time at this location, however, we have been to Metro Diner in Florida and we have always had a fantastic experience. We visited this location on a Monday morning. There was no wait to be seated. The restaurant appeared clean and was very inviting. Our waitress, Taylor, came to our table promptly to take her drink orders. She was pleasant and personable and very friendly. My husband loves chicken and waffles and that is what he ordered. The chicken was so crispy I could hear it. I ordered the croissant French toast. It was very good. If you are going through this part of town and are looking for a very good breakfast, you definitely need to check them out!
My husband and I were out of town visiting my family - on our day to leave-they treated us to Brunch. This is a nice diner that serves breakfast all day along with lunch and dinner foods. The atmosphere was cozy and quant - definitely family oriented. We were seated right away ( party of 7 ). Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming with a beautiful smile. She was patient with us as we were trying to decide what to order. Everything sounded delicious, and the prices were comparable and reasonable. We all choose different entrees- so we could taste 7 of them. The food came in a timely manner, presented nicely, and tasted good. There are several Metro Diners along the East Coast - Hrs 8am to 8pm. Will revisit in the future.

Harper's Table is a do-not-miss experience for anyone visiting Downtown Suffolk (or Hampton Roads, for that matter). Since opening its doors in 2012 (in the stylishly revitalized historic space downtown), Harper's has been our family's go-to restaurant for celebrating special occasions. Recently, my husband and I hosted a private dinner celebrating my sister's upcoming wedding at Harper's Table, and it was a party we (and our guests) will never forget! Harper and his team went above and beyond to plan the most exquisite, unique, bountiful and down-right delicious meal any of us could ever have dreamed up! Most impressively, Harper was able to thoughtfully craft dishes to accommodate one guest's very complex food allergy with precision and creativity. I can't recommend Harper's Table highly enough! Date night, dinner with friends, or -- for sure -- any private party/event that you want to be extra special. The atmosphere is fabulous, the service is top notch, and the food is out of this world! Lots of love in every bite :)
Made reservations. Food was very good. Fried oysters was light and fluffy, and they were also seasoned well. Flounder dish was amazing with nice presentation. The ribs weres ok. The stone grits was good as well. Appetizers came out quick. Main dishes took a while to come out, but I'm pretty sure they are made to order, which is a good thing. I definitely would return to this restaurant whenever I'm in suffolk.
Compared to a lot of other restaurants in Suffolk, this place is a breath of fresh air. Not only was our server Brandon one of the best servers I've ever had, but the food was amazing! We started off with a bottle of Malbec from Argentina, then placed our food orders. We ordered the Pork Belly Biscuit, my wife got the burger, and I had shrimp and grits. The biscuit was pretty darn delicious with thick pork belly and house-made strawberry jam. The wait for the food was a tad long, but worth it once we got it. Now, I haven't had grits in over 20 years, and boy have I been missing out. Everything about that dish was perfection. The shrimp was cooked properly (which is super easy to mess up) and their house-made andouille sausage was delicious. My wife's burger was undercooked, though. However, Brandon remedied that very quickly, and within about 5 minutes, she had a new burger cooked to her liking. It was a very good burger, well-seasoned, and the fries with mayo are also house-made. They also brought out this moist yet firm delectable cornbread. For dessert, we got the s'mores tart, which I'm not a fan of at the best of times, but oh man, we crushed it! All in all, this is the best dining experience we've had in Suffolk by far, and we will be returning. A couple of side notes: For my shrimp and grits, I had already dug in, so the picture does not reflect how they came out, but it still looks pretty darn good! I was hungry, couldn't help it. We didn't get a photo of the tart; we destroyed it. Also, mostly everything they make is in-house, which is super impressive and shows exactly the commitment they have to serving great quality food.

Very happy with my first time here. Everything was delicious and service excellent. The best scallops I've had in a very long time. Steak was cooked perfectly. Baked potato was LOADED. Salad was perfect. Bo is a really great server!!!
Love their Greek salad, fresh vegetables and large slice of feta cheese with the perfect oil vinegar dressing. My mom loves to go on Friday for their fish and chip, for $11. The fish type will change due to what is available, but she said all are good. The yeast rolls they bring to your table are yummy. The waitresses here are the best.
My husband and I tried this restaurant Friday and were disappointed. We heard about it and went online to check the menu and location. The menu that pops up had lots of items and the prices were exceptionally good so we decided to give it a try. Please be aware that current menu prices are double what was shown online. We made the best of the situation and had crab cakes and prime. Neither were outstanding and my salad was wilted with some bad lettuce. This restaurant might be for you, but it is not for us. I have searched for the current menu online and the only one I could locate was a photo included in one of the reviews.

My significant other and I have been here many times. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Suffolk, it is on the pricier side it’s good for special occasions or once in a while visits. The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and polite. The food is very delicious, fresh and they offer quite a bit of everything, I’m sure if you’re a picky eater you’ll find something you’ll enjoy. Definitely recommend!!
Had a great date night in the speak-easy room. Nice atmosphere, cool decor, and exceptional service. We decided to have the tasting menu of five courses. Everything was delicious. The tuna tartar with siracha ice cream was so good. The crab cake had no filler and was one of the best ones I've had. Scallops were cooked perfectly. We had a couple of cocktails each and they were all on point. The price of the tasting menu was good for everything you get to try from the menu. It's on the pricier side for a random date night, but definitely worth it for the experience. We will definitely go again to try more from their selections.
Update: Enjoyed the wine pairing special. Also really appreciate them having high chairs available for toddlers. Love everything about this place. Their seafood is pretty phenomenal. Highly recommend their calamari appetizer. Everyone was very professional and nice. Great atmosphere, fun without being too loud. It's a great place to enjoy some drinks and good food with family and friends. We had a great time and would definitely come back again very soon.

Really nice place. Very good food. Service was slow only because the one person working was pulling double duty as bartender, table server & handling to-go orders. It was just her & the cook. As crowded as it was she should have had help. Definitely a management problem. She was doing an awesome job for being overwhelmed with bar & table patrons.
Had lunch here the other day.. great little find!! Service was a little slow at first, which was understandable as the bartender was also the waitress and was working by herself. Once order and everything was placed, it didn’t take long for the food, which the egg rolls were delicious, open face turkey was good, and the chuck wagon sandwich was yummy the fries and the homemade ranch dressing topped it off!! Will be back if we’re working in the area again!!
It’s a beer joint with good food. I eat there about once a week. Service can be slow on weekend nights because it gets packed. They’re doing their best, but Friday and Saturday nights are busy. Really good wings and burgers. Good prices on beer. Devil’s Backbone on tap.

We walk in and seat ourselves. It got very busy about 30 minutes after we arrived so we expected service to be slow. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were good. My wife got the BLT with a cup of the soup of the day (tomatoe bisque) and I got the cowboy burger with fries. The bisque was good and my wife said her BLT was also good. The fries are hand cut/homemade so that was really nice. My burger was very dry but otherwise fine. All in all not a terrible experience. I say that last sentence with an ending note. We walk in and get smacked in the face by this musty, moldy cat piss smell. It was very overwhelming. It was less so when we walked up to the bar area where we sat, but still very prevalent. We debated just leaving, but we stuck it out because we wanted to try the place. Idk what it is, but it smells awful in there. Idk how people handle it.
The pub was what you would expect with decent food and a lively atmosphere. The service was very good and the staff were friendly.
Such a wonderful local hangout. Great food, great service, great people. Some of the best burgers around and a big variety of options to choose from. I love the fact that they bring your food out AS SOON AS ITS DONE instead of letting plates sit under the lamp until the whole tables are done. That makes a huge difference. Drinks are reasonably priced 2. Can't ask for much more.

I've been going to Amici's since I was eight that's almost ten years now. The food has always been superb. They cook the pizza and subs in a brick oven giving it a distinctly unique taste. I've been to New York and had pizza there and so far Amici's pizza is the only comparable thing I've had in Virginia. The service has always been great consistently for ten years. The atmosphere is good for a pizza place, small and enjoyable. If your on the lookout for hidden gems in the 757 then you have to try Amici's. I recommend the margherita pizza and mozzarella sticks.
I have eaten Amicis several times, but this was my first dine in experience. I LOVE their food. It's always fresh, hot, and delicious. The meatballs are huge! I could only eat one, so I'm having the rest for dinner. My salad was super fresh and the croutons were to die for. I wanted to ask for more but didn't want to seem crazy lol. The service was great too. See you again soon!
I didn't expect to go here for lunch. It's true what they say about don't judge a book by its cover. The outside wasn't appealing and really didn't know it was a restaurant on the outside. But it was a nice pizza joint. The food was really good. Not the best mozzarella sticks but better than most. The pizza was really great. I loved the sauce and how the pepperoni was really big and the sausage was really thick. I got green peppers but they didn't put much on there for a $1.00. My wife looked the Shrimp Scampi. The table was still sticky but it made up for the food, and service. The waitress was really nice also and delivered everything just right. The atmosphere was really cool and unique. I loved it. They just need to work on the outside and they would be on point.
