Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Sudbury – 2024

The Funghi pasta was my favorite here. Very good and tasty as recommended by our server. The pizza was also great! I’d recommend ordering them. Every food was good and the servers were warm and friendly atmosphere was just right!

This was a delightful find for my son and I on a one day visit. The meal was scrumptious and service was top notch. Would highly recommend this place and know where I will be going when I want to wow some one with excellently flavoured food and a wonderful atmosphere when in Sudbury.

Would have never thought Sudbury had such a great pasta place. Service great, atmosphere is one of the coolest places I've been. The food, one of the best tasting pasta dishes I've tried in a restaurant. The server we had, told our table, the owner was this guy name Rob. She explained how Rob operates the place. This guy has passsssion!!! I think he might be The Pasta King!!!

Every single thing I've had on the menu is to die for!! The duck penne is the go-to favourite but you can't go wrong with anything they make! The service and attention to detail from staff is always top notch and they help make the atmosphere even more upscale. Getting in is part of the fun. Nestled underground, you open the big tavern door and go down a set of spiral stairs where staff is always extremely friendly to greet you and get you seated asap. They check in at appropriate times and have great recommendations of you can't make up your mind. Portions are generous and you can tell they care about what they serve.

We came here due to the good Google reviews online and were not disappointed! The ambiance is cozy, lighting is subdued and the tables are not too close together. The menu was a joy to read and we had several beautiful dishes to choose from. The appetizer and main courses were very flavourful and served by courteous, friendly staff. This place is a hidden gem and is now on our favourites list! We'd be happy to return to try other menu items!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If I could give it 10 stars I would. You must make a reservation to eat here. Everything on the menu is fantastic! Service is the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Only con, you can't stop thinking about how great your experience was. Highly recommend!

Visited a few days ago, great service and very a very visually appealing restaurant. The food was quick and tasted amazing. All the staff were very kind. I saw a review on mice on the patio, not quite sure why you would bash a restaurant on animals being outside… I see the workers constantly cleaning and sweeping inside and outside. There’s only so much they can do about mice being outside and definitely not fair to give a bad review on. All in all a great experience.

Severely disappointed with the quality of food. Everything was disappointing. The eggs Benedict, the chicken schnitzel, and especially the fish and chips. Fish was really fishy tasting and the batter was too much and too greasy. The service was great but that doesn’t warrant a return

Great food and atmosphere, but waitress couldn’t seem to get our breakfast order right. All worked out in the end, and so we will be back!

*highly recommended* This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Genuinely locally sourced food with great quality ingredients and very friendly staff. Food is super high quality and delicious! In addition this is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve been to in MA Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back to try more options on the menu! We had omelette with veggies, very delicious, donuts with yogurt on top was very light, not too sweet and very soft. Kids had chocolate chips pancakes, very generous portions! Coffee was freshly made and tasted great! I loved the map kind of thing on the wall where it shows where the food is sourced from! Love to support local communities and love to consume naturally produced foods

Fine dining (in a parking lot)! The food here is really, really good. The Hot Honey Chicken Sammie was amazing. Crispy chicken, spicy honey drizzle, soft brioche and a killer saucy slaw - texture and flavor were perfection!!! Side of potatoes were soft and fluffy inside, crispy outside, and perfect oil/salt ratio… again I say perfect. Kiddo chocolate chip pancakes were a hit. Side of bacon so good we ordered a second side! Two bits of bad news. First, this gem is sadly nestled in between parking lots and a busy road… second, they aren’t giving it away, we paid $72 for brunch for 2… now, if this included mimosas that would make sense. But we drank water. So… we’re squarely in splurge territory. Bottom line - the food (and service!) is so good we’ll be back. Hey, at least it’s easy to nab a parking spot.

The hash browns, chicken and waffles, and carrot cake donuts were amazing. Really good brunch. The citrus in the pancakes is also a great touch and makes a simple breakfast elevated. Reservations are tough so it’s good to book in advance.

Came here for lunch and sat at the bar. This is the second time I’ve been here and the service is always great. Food is not as successful. Last time I had the fried calamari which was decent, but I asked for no peppers and it came out with peppers anyway. This time I had the turkey club with potato salad as a side. The potato salad was much better than expected- not wet and soupy. The turkey club was disappointing. I asked for no cheese (which the kitchen obliged) and no mayo. The tomatoes were nice considering this time of year. But the turkey was what I would consider as sub par cold cut quality. Very salty. See photo. I would not order it next time. The menu is large so I’m sure I will find other better items. I’ll be back for the service, vibe and hours.

First time here, not from the area but I will come back in the future just to eat here. Food presentation was fantastic. Ate here with 3 others who all had nothing but good things to say about their meals aswell. Highly recommend!

We wanted to try something new so we went to Sudbury Point. Parking is ample and we enjoyed the live music.. the restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. We didn't wait for a table and immediately were seated. We read the reviews and went with fish and chips, haddock sandwich, steak tips and chicken parm. The food reminded us of food from a chain restaurant like the 99. Fish for both the haddock sandwich and fish and chips was over-cooked. The bulkie for the sandwich overwhelmed the fish (bread to fish ratio) but the pickles were really good.. The chicken parm was swimming in cheese and sauce. The highlight was the steak tips...and sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. I'd give them 5 stars. The vibe was nice inside. Clean and bright. I might have preferred to sit in the bar and listen to music and just have a drink.

It's one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Worth the hour drive. The owner and the staff are welcoming and polite. Piping hot food that tastes amazing. Love the fresh lime soda. This is the only restaurant that makes it perfect every single time.

Found this nice place for Indian cuisine. The place had a casual atmosphere and frankly speaking it was quite a relaxing place to be for dinner after a day's work. Ordered a Soul of India Bryani which surprised me as it was served on a steel pan covered with a layer of Naan bread. The portion was generous and it was spicy but very delicious and athentic. Also ordered a mango lassi for a drink.

Overall, the food is great. They make a banging Baingan Bharta. It’s my go-to for Indian delivery in Sudbury. However, some of the portions are very small for the price. I ordered butter chicken for $17, and it was probably half of one chicken breast and 90% sauce. Also, the palak channa tiki was a big miss.

Very happy to have found this hidden gem, excellent food and better service. Many gluten free options and the food is unreal. We never had better salsa and the sampler was better.

Go For The Food.. Stay For The Service Service: The main bartender, Nicole, was AMAZING, as was Nico. Their ability to be available, make recommendations, and check in on a regular basis made sitting at the bar the best place to be on Cinco De Mayo. Food: Everything is DELICIOUS... and there are some foods that are BEYOND... like the Mesa Wings, the Barbacoa Brisket, and the fajitas. I joked how good the wings were, and Nico sent me happily home with some extra smokey BBQ sauce... prolly the best I've had in the USA or MAYBE tied for 1st with the crispy spicy-sweet asian wings at Fuji Newton. The people you meet are fun (thanks for the chit-chat Bruce & wife of 42 years) & Lori, Dawn & Hubby ... best time in a long time.

First time visiting this evening. We had the best dining and service experience we have had in a long time. Starting with Katie the hostess. She was so warm, informative, and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. I also noticed her helping out the team and checking in on guests the whole time. Our server was Missy and she suggested the most unique yet delicious cocktails! Her timing was perfect and checked in on us regularly. We had the crispy Brisket tacos and the shrimp tacos, so flavorful and fresh. Brisket meat was cooked perfectly. We are so happy with this experience. We will be back again soon. 11/10!

Paid $15 for a fried rice . The rice tasted like it’s 4 days old. Threw the whole thing out after a few bites. It’s a shame cuz I used to eat here all the time. I will be not going back to this place !!

I was here for lunch with my work colleagues and ordered the crispy chicken spicy pad Thai noodles. The food was good and the service was great. There was enough parking outside the restaurant. Definitely a must try place if you are looking for some awesome Thai food.

Most authentic Thai food in the area! Food is so fresh and very tasty. Service staffs are friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back and try other stuffs because their menu is so variety. Highly recommended …

The sushi is delicious, and the service is friendly. The staff is nice, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The fish is fresh, and I love the variety of dishes offered.

I’ve been eat at Oishii Too for over 10 years and its quality of sushi hasn’t slipped once. Everything is amazing. Best sushi I’ve every had! You should try the Grilled Edamame, Paula’s Roll and Joel’s Hand Roll (Both are in the picture along with a California Roll) Enjoy!

Sushi was not fresh and frankly gross. We did takeout and did not eat more than 1 piece. Udon lacked depth in flavor - soya sauce plus water. Disappointing…

Woohoo! I finally got to enjoy the OBT's tasty food and nice menu in the physical restaurant! I've had several delicious takeout meals from here over the past few years, but going out to a nicely decorated service oriented establishment is such a treat.

We ate here mid-afternoon. The place is bright and has a really nice set up, not much atmosphere but it was only 1:30pm. We were seated near the partially open kitchen, but surprisingly left without that "restaurant smell" on our clothes. Our server Wayne came to our table within minutes of walking in, which we appreciated. He was super chill and really nice and we both noticed that right away. We started with the fried pickles and cherry peppers and they had a nice zing to them. I had the Left Coast burger which was cooked perfectly to my medium rare request, my wife had the fried chicken sandwich, which had a generous portion of chicken, but she thought was very dry. The regular and sweet potato tots were good, you could really taste the difference between them and the onion rings were also great. The cocktails, (we had the jalapeno mule), were well made- not overly sweet or too strong. The cocktails, app and main came out quickly. We would like to check it out on a busy night for the atmosphere. Overall I would recommend this place.

The potato nachos and buffalo cawliflower apetizer are a must. The BBQ burger is great and goes very well with the sweet potato totes. Overall food is good. Service was ok. The location is great.

Came here for lunch as part of checking out the area when visiting the daughter and her family. Of the four restaurants I went to in three days this was by far the best and the one most worth revisiting. Ordered a lot to have something to take back. Wonton soup (very flavorful). Shrimp lo mein (actually I ordered the chicken but they brought me shrimp) and shrimp with lobster sauce (although it was in a brown sauce and I prefer the traditional Cantonese white sauce). The food although very pricey, is top quality. Drinks are great too. On this visit their dishwasher was broken so they were serving on paper plates and with plastic flatware which was a little tacky and detracted from the experience. But next time I am visiting I will definitely come back. Have come back a few times and the food is still great. The problem is with septic not the dishwasher- so still paper plates. Hopefully they will sort that out soon. In the meantime I’ll skip eating in.

Clean neighborhood restaurant with great service. Used to offer decent sushi and nice buffet options, but food today was disappointing as most dishes were salty and overcooked, chewy.

Among the best Asian food I have ever had! Fresh flavor, tender meat crunchy veggies. Our server was delightful. A little pricey but it was worth it with large helpings.

First time back since the renovation. Love the clean look. Food was better then ever. Johnny Wonton soup was amazing and the new Peking Ravioli were better then anywhere I've had before.

Modern casual but classy Chinese restaurant with great food and great service. They are consistently great with the quality of their food. Their appetizers are traditional New England style cooked perfectly. Everything from the hot and sour soup with complex flavors with the right amount of heat to all of the finger foods. The egg rolls are full of flavor. They are so delicious that you can eat them without needing any condiments. The teriyaki is well marinated. The spareribs are tender, moist and easily come off the bone. The wings have a crunchy exterior with a juicy interior. They do a great job with their main dishes. Shrimp has always been cooked right, tender not rubbery. My favorite entrée is their orange crispy beef. The beef is tender, the coating is perfect with a crispiness in every bite. The sauce is perfect with the orange flavor really standing out. I highly recommend Lavender. You pay a little more, however I'm a firm believer that the quality is worth paying for. The service is excellent too!

Great atmosphere. Very clean. A pleasant surprise for a strip mall. Food good. Entree portions are small and light on protein. Entree did not come with rice.

Staff and owner are so friendly. Live instrumental music the night we were there. Craft beer store next door where you can buy singles and bring them into Franco’s. Perfect

If you haven't eaten at Franco's you're missing out. I recently had the pleasure to enjoy the absolute most delicious sweet potato fries. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. We also had the eggplant parm paini and wings. Everything was amazing. The staff is super friendly and incredibly patient.

Franco's is a fun little place where ownership puts a lot of pride in what they make, and it shows. My onion ring app was very good and unexpected. Franco's doesn't take the bread crumbly batter approach, rather the batter bonded very stiff, creating an extra crispy wonderful ring that goes amazing with marinara. My suggestion would be - use the SAME technique with the chicken parm batter. The chicken parm was okay, needed some seasoning and the very light fry coating blended the chicken in with the sauce and cheese (soft all around). The crispy onion ring batter would have been unbeatable with the sauce and gooey cheese. My gelato was excellent - banana and chocolate chip. Service was fast and friendly. Pass on the parm but definitely try Franco's!

The only only reason i am giving 4 stars it is for the long wait to be seated , to be served, and for ordering a prosecco in the bottle because it is on the menu, and be served by the glass one by one… I saw other people with bottles on the table and I was served in a glass! And took a long time for someone come back to the table to collect the bill… but the food is great!

Gave 4stars, i ordered hummus,falafel and kofta. Kofta comes with rice which is great! But it doesn’t come with garlic sauce, you have to buy it separately. Hummus and falafel is nice however its a bit fancy there’s changes on the taste but its good! Doesn’t taste like the ones in the middle east tho. But service, the place is nice

Visited last night and had such a wonderful experience I had to review this morning. Great staff, absolutely outstanding food - shared delicious hummus with my sister and father and I had the the most amazing chicken parmesean risotto.

A gem of a shop. So many unique and global items. More of a kitchen boutique, one might say, and perhaps on the pricer side for some. Worth a visit. They also are the SkyBar factory! Interesting history this place has.

What a wonderful store! So many great culinary finds from hot sauces to jams to homemade chocolates. I was in heaven!!

We had an absolutely magical experience at duck soup for a birthday party. We selected a cupcake making and decorating class. Everything was meticulously organized.

Everything was GREAT! You absolutely should set-up a reservation; we made one for 4:30P and the place was about 80% filled within 30-45 minutes. We went with the boat to try several entrees (photo didn't come out but you can see some in the tortellini pic). No complaints on anything. We enjoyed the dim atmosphere, quick service, and grabbed some desserts to go. Best cannolis I've had! *Tortellini pic (at the top) has some of the boat entrees we got. We went with the salmon and chicken parm in addition to the tortellini and lasagna.

This is a local favorite of ours. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere just makes you feel kinda classy. Although I usually go here to indulge myself in their pasta dishes, I recently tried the lamb chops. Yeah if you like a nice lamb rack this is going to ruin lamb for you. Simply amazing!

My new favorite bistro! Dreamy little atmosphere and unbelievable drinks.. Delectable dishes. We were gifted with a divine bottle of limoncello on the way out! Fantastic.

Had a wonderful dinner last night. The sole fish was delicious and the drinks unique. I recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert. The place is cozy and beautiful and the service great!! We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed a very nice lunch as part of a Celebration of Life. Our table had at least one of each entrée offered: salmon, chicken, and pasta all very fancy and tasty. More / better veggies would've been appreciated. Individual sized desserts were served family style. The chocolate mousse was my favorite.I didnt bother any attendees with food photos. Restaurant was closed to the public for this event. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is elegantly decorated...lovely wood, white tablecloths.

Chose this restaurant based on Yelp reviews. Was definitely not a great find. Drinks : We dint order any but they have a fully stocked back with beer and wine options. Appetizers: Crab cakes and calamari were ordered. The calamari was really good but the crab cake was just ok. The bread that was served was really good with the chilli oil. The Portuguese soup was subpar. Entrees: We were a group of 4 and everyone tried a different dish. I tried the lamb rack chops which lacked flavor. The lamb was cooked well but the chef could really work on the taste. I was surprised that a restaurant could botch up mashed potatoes!!, The rest of the folks at our table liked their respective dishes. Dessert: We ordered the sampler and the apple crumble was great. The creme brûlée had an eggy flavor and the chocolate mousse was average. Ambience: A fine looking restaurant that has a classy feel. Parking spots are available right outside. They do take reservations. Service : Our waiter was very professional and efficient. A small thing that waiters need to remember is guests who requested for no ice in their water. He clearly missed it after the first fill. Pricing: Expensive, though not worthy. Will I return : Maybe not! Overall, some good and some bads. Hence the 3 stars.
