Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Statesboro – 2024

It's buffet style. The food was very good! The best part about the whole thing is my tea glass was never empty. THANK YOU KIRK for the fabulous service!!! Those who know me and my reviews know that's a big deal with me about having an empty tea glass!!

Even on Thanksgiving, the line to get in moved quickly. The food was very good, especially the desserts! There was plenty of staff keeping all of the food stocked, taking our dirty plates as soon as we were done with them and refilling our drinks.

Unfortunately my husband loves old times Country buffet's fatback just like the fatback Mom used to make on that cast iron skillet! it is quite delicious! I got to experience some great customer service today. There was no fatback on the buffet and I don't live in Statesboro. It's a drive. I only pick some up when I happen to be in Statesboro so I was disappointed. the manager came out and said "Ma'am We'll fix them for you." "That's okay. " I said. She said " just come back in a couple hours." I said "okay. I will Try." I did go back. It wasn't there. I said "okay when I walk across the parking lot and do so looking around and I'll come back." She said " okay. It'll be ready." Well it still wasn't ready but the manager explain the problem and I set down and drink a couple of water and I got the fat back fresh and hot! What a great manager! What great customer service! Thanks Old Times Country Buffet for reminding me how good Southern Hospitality is when found in a Local Business!

I got 2 low country boils small trays. I was excited to try it because I knew someone who had purchased and loved it. It was a major disappointment for me. The sausage was dark brown and tasted old. The shrimp were very mushy and not firm. The shrimp tasted disgusting and were not deveined. Corn really didn't have any flavor and wasn't crisp. The good thing is that it was a good portion of food for 10.99. However, I was unable to eat it. Just a waste of food and $$.

You get a lot of food for what you pay. And it's good. I'm going to go back and try more. Got the small boil and I couldn't finish it

Tried it for the first time. I would definitely recommend if you are in the mood for seafood. The only thing is the fries taste like they were cooked in the same fish grease. I would love if they could incorporate different sides like grits with the combo. 8/10!!

Our server was very friendly. This was our first time at this restaurant and she was very helpful. The snow crab legs were delicious. Highly recommend any of the bucket platters. You can choose the sauce you want as well as the amount of spice used (or no spice in my case)!

The service was absolutely terrible! We got there at 5:30 and by 6:20 we still didn’t even have drinks. On top of that the hostess were at the front desk hitting their vapes! Also during this time multiple people had gotten up and left due to the lack of service! I’ve had better service at Burger King!

Down home feel with down home taste. I arrived around 4pm on a Saturday and they weren't too busy. The staff seemed very friendly and engaging with I'm assuming were regulars. Everyone seemed happy. They were out of a few things I wanted but no biggie. I did a to go order. When I got back to my hotel my food was still hot. Some things were a little salty for my taste, but it was still good. My food was served with a pancake (flapjack) instead of cornbread or roll which was a different touch. I will definitely return.

I was in town on business and decided to try this place out and soooo glad I did. This is a family owned business that comes with great southern hospitality. Although my order was to go, I enjoyed the service and atmosphere! The first time I went, I ordered the salmon with rice, cabbages, and Caribbean vegetables. I had never heard of Caribbean vegetables but quickly became my favorite! The second time I went, I ordered oxtails with more Caribbean vegetables, broccoli, and cabbages!

Sweet baby Jesus, that’s some good food! Ordered the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, collards, green beans, and broccoli and it was SO GOOD! Guys taking our order is Big Ma’s son and said he grew up eating all of this food. He recommended the Mac and cheese, collards and broccoli and I’m so glad he did. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I got the buffalo Sammy sandwich, it was not good at all. It was thrown together and had way too much sauce that made the bread and chicken soggy I couldn’t even eat half of it before throwing it away:( - chicken also had no flavor. Good customer service though:)

Amazing food and service. This was one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwiches I have ever had. The kids loved the burgers as well. The fries and home fries were also delicious. It's definitely a must go to if you're in Statesboro.

Statesboro Hots never disappoints! The food and service are always top notch. I love stopping in for some of their AMAZING chicken tenders, and they are my first choice for catering. Everyone who attended my last event is still raving about the delicious meatballs, garlic bread and alfrefo they made for us.

I usually like going to El Rinconcito cause of their nice prices and good quality food. Though idk what has happened recently, I ordered take out and then was shocked to see what they gave me. Their food has been off for a little while especially more so for takeout, they just give you as little as possible and just slop your food down in the box any kind of way. I will not be going back afterwards this, especially since they keep raising their prices but giving less food. Below with the picture is exactly how it came to me. It looks like somebody just took bites out my food.

This was my first time eating at Bites. The food was good, and the overall decor was beautiful too; more on the college/artsy style, but im an artist, so I love it! I got the chicken Fajita wrap, which was really good, but the chicken could've been seasoned a little more. The fries tasted homemade, and they were also good. I love the fact that their drinks come in a large cup. My friend said she loves coming there to eat, and their onion rings are delicious to her. To me, it's more of a restaurant for college kids, but I did see a family there, but it screams college hang out. They also sell alcoholic drinks, too. The customer service is great too!

Super popular place. Plenty of food variety here to keep everyone in your party happy. The burgers are top notch. During the day the atmosphere is bright with plenty of large windows. Plenty of TVs for sports. We will definately go again.

Service was great. Atmosphere will pick up when college comes. But $15+ for this plate is a little much. Paid for bacon and got one. Chicken tenders were average little small but that’s fine but the fries were really good. I just thought the sandwich was going to be bigger meat wise.

I spent 45 dollars. I Ordered fried chicken, Mac n.cheese and green beans. The green beans was the best of everything. Absolutely no seasoning on the chicken or Mac n cheese I also ordered chicken and dumplings, salad peach cobbler. Salad was the only good thing. I didn’t even try to eat the peach cobbler it didn’t look fresh. Lastly I had a sweet pecan pie and sweet potato pie. The pecan was ok. My advice is for whoever to add double the seasonings. Perfect the craft because I wasted my money and now I’m going to order fast food

Everything at this place deserves a 5 !! No wonder this place has been in business for 20 years. I'm up from Florida because my daughter and her family moved up here, and we love local mom and pop places, and this did not disappoint!! The fried chicken was absolutely amazing. This will not be the last time we are here.

Love it! Great food, service and quick cafeteria style dining. I will there we're more locations. Great portions for the price. Will definitely stop by again. Delicious fresh southern home cooking with friendly hospitality employees.

I grew up in Maine, so the bar is set high as far as seafood is concerned. This is the best seafood I’ve had in years. And the hush puppies! So good! My husband and I split the platter, and we have plenty leftover. We’ll definitely be back!

If you like great food and large portions then this is the place for you! The restaurant is a little dated but clean and neat. Food is excellent! I will definitely go again.

After going to this establishment I'm actually disappointed. In my choices prior to eating at this restaurant I had one of the best meals I've ever had in my entire life I had the tripping grits with the chicken and waffle like taco. The shrimp and grits perfect amount of shrimp to Grits ratio I didn't even put salt or pepper on it the waffle was flaky the sweetness of it the chicken was savory it was off the hook. And usually that's all I can have to say positive about an experience but then our server Danielle was so giving an honest and positive it was an amazing experience. I will be coming back and bringing people with me. This was my girlfriend and I's 7-month anniversary as well as her 33rd birthday so this was the perfect place

I had a great experience at Del Sur's. The food was very good. But I have to say Dylan W made my day. Such a kind gentleman. Very well organized when it came to his guess. Not once did I have to look for him because he always made sure to check on me as well as his other guests and I really appreciate his hard work. Bless the staff here they are all doing a good job.

A good spot for sure. Got that “stayed over grandma’s house and she made breakfast” vibe. lol iykyk, smaller space so maybe a good to-go spot. Flavor was great, my only qualm is the portion of toppings/protein, just a tad bit more I think. Like we are in the South, so the grits and Cajun type seasoning/sausage isn’t THAT unique as in maybe out west/north. Take care of the family is all I’m sayin.

From SW Ga. Googled somewhere to eat breakfast. The Tasty Crave came up. Small quaint dining, friendly staff, AWESOME French toast, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage!!! Coffee was good too!!! I’ll definitely comeback and bring folks w me!! Check em out! I give the a “ THAT’S WHATS UP!!”.

I paid $48 for terrible service and the chicken tenders only 4 baby ones that look like they came from a quail. The tea tasted like it was made yesterday …. Maybe you all need to not serve food if this is the type of stuff your serving to the public!! Don’t worry I’ll never come back.

I was not impressed when I went here. I went on a Saturday night to eat dinner and got charged a cover charge even though there was not a band playing there that night. The tea was sour and spoiled. The food was decent, but I'm not a huge bar person, and that is the atmosphere. It's no longer the enjoyable restaurant I used to go to. Now it's all about the alcohol sales. Or it seems to be anyways. So sad.

If there were ever a restaurant to brag on, it would be this restaurant. This restaurant was saved on my Google as a place I wanted to visit for almost a year. I finally decided to go recently, and I’m so glad I did. On my first visit, I went on a date with my boyfriend, and I tried fried green tomatoes, salmon with a Caesar salad, and a margarita pizza with shrimp. Everything was very delightful. I also tried their strawberry basil alcoholic drink. That one is top-tier. I will recommend that to anyone. We also had dessert. I had a strawberry cake, and my boyfriend had a red velvet cake. The desserts were beautiful, but the show's star was the fried green tomatoes. On our second visit, I got another strawberry basil alcohol drink; I ordered crab legs, which are two clusters for 1899 every Wednesday, and my boyfriend had the chicken, Florentine. We also ordered a charcuterie board, which started the show. Let me not forget that the crab legs were luscious and large. The cheeses were delicious, and the charcuterie board had some of the sweetest grapes. Let me not forget that the crab legs were luscious and large.

Easily one of the best waffles in Bulloch County if not in Georgia, don’t @ me. If you are going for coffee I recommend the sweetheart it has a sweet lavender flavor that leaves you always wanting more. Don’t forget about the pomme frites with the truffle oil, my mouth is watering just thinking about it ! The service is Sugary sweet too!

Everything ok food not great Severe she did wonderful job. Took a auditor out to eat here that is auditing my company everything on menu not available it was an awkward situation. Then when the auditor got his food, he did not even finish it. This auditor comes in every year from out of town and we take him out to eat. He actually said after we ate here Mark this place off the list for next year. The clams in the picture were tonight special with a dipping sauce to dip the bread in there wasn’t enough sauce to even dip. The bread in it was just clams and bread pretty much.

It was my first time going there tonight. I got the large rib plate. I didn’t care for how they made the baked beans with whatever meat that is. The ribs were over saturated with black pepper and the sauce was mediocre.Overall food was a 6/10 not sure if I would go back

Can truthfully say that this has NEVER happened to me before that I have seen and I hate to be that person, but perhaps there is an underlying issue that can be addressed. I’ve never worked in food service industry. I’m sure there are plenty of stories to be told. While enjoying my salad and pulled pork, I look down to see a dead roach (size a kidney bean maybe) in my salad, covered with my salad dressing, I realize he didn’t just land there. Needless to say, my meal time was OVER. Service and atmosphere was great and I can tell they appear to try, however now I wonder why the 88 Health Inspection Rating.

After some negative reviews from the Brooklet location. We were hesitant about eating there! We decided to visit your location and was pleasantly suprised! I had the small combination plate with chicken, brisket, pulled pork, ribs and fries! So much food, I ate three times from one order. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw. The sauces were awesome. The young lady that served us was courteous and helpful. Everything was great! We're from the Effingham area and will definitely visit again!
