DELICIOUS food!! This is definitely one of my favorite places in the area, and I would recommend Bistrozine to anyone who loves great food!
Nice spot for lunch or dinner. Food is a little eclectic, but could be described as Asian fusion. Pork buns were good, but you need to use the dipping sauce. Crispy duck rolls were amazing! Kimchi fried rice was fine, not much kimchi. Drinks were interesting and delicious
Wow! This place is awesome. The menu is so cool and I can’t decide what to get. Everything was delicious. The reviews are great for a reason!

Our family had a great dinner together at The Tavern, after a Penn State event. Service was attentive and nice. We were glad we checked out this longtime restaurant when visiting campus. Excellent bar drinks. We would return to enjoy a drink in the bar.
I had high hopes for this place as the whole vibe screams cool spot that knows what it’s doing, but unfortunately, it fell a bit short of expectations. While the service was friendly and efficient (and thankfully, it wasn't as chaotic as I'd heard it could be), we were seated in a side room that really detracted from the ambiance. The food was decent, but with a little more attention to detail, it could be truly great. It felt like someone back in the kitchen has lost their passion somewhere. The Caesar salad was a particularly low point – carelessly thrown on the plate and reminiscent of airport. My pasta with clams was okay, but nothing I'd order again. This place has all the potential to be fantastic, but it's not quite there. I do have to give credit where it's due: the old fashioned cocktail was exceptional! No issues with the bartender's passion whatsoever. They earned an extra star for that one. JB
We loved this restaurant, was a delightful experience! And our server, Erin provided an incredible service.

Such a nice mood restaurant! The staffs are very kind with good manners! They have somewhere limited options for lunch, so I prefer to visit here for dinner. Especially, I really enjoyed when there were special menus that may be seasonal. One of the best part is you can reserve. They have good cocktail/mocktail options.
Stopped in for a bite to eat before heading to Beaver Stadium for a concert. Online reservations said "come on it, there is currently no wait". Got there and there was an hour wait. Ended up waiting 20 minutes then sitting in the bar area, 40 minutes later they called saying my table was ready! I ordered the Cherry Apple Cider, which was good (and cheap - only $4). Hubs and I both ordered the Barrel Burger (ribeye cheeseburger with brown sugar balsamic onions, and bacon). I honestly don't remember the bacon being on my burger but I'm sure it was there. The burger was super dry and lacked flavor. I also got a side of truffle fries for $1 upgrade - they were good and worth the extra $1 The food was dropped off by what seemed to be a manager, who was nice - hubs was suppose to get French fries and they brought a salad by mistake and he offered to get fries for him (the salad looked good, so he kept the salad and said the dressing was delicious). Our server NEVER returned to our table except to bring our bill but he was super nice when he was taking our order......so I'm not sure how to tip. Bathrooms were super clean and the place was decorated nicely.
To be fair, there were some BIG groups there when we went yesterday at 4:30. So of course that would put more on the staff when it comes to getting your drinks or food out faster. So that didn't factor into my review. The drink menu is amazing. Can I just stay here all week and sample them all? My son had a Pear & Sage Sour (B21 apple-pear infused gin, lemon, honey and sage) and I had a Southern Spring Mule (B21 white tail bourbon, homemade apricot liqueur, homemade ginger liqueur, lemon and fresh mint). For dinner, he had the chislic poutine (a refined edge to a major comfort food) and I had the pear salad. Both were amazing. Definitely making this our lunch or dinner spot when I come out to visit.

The food was great and our waitress was very nice! She (Alexis I believe) got us our food very quickly, but always made sure we were well taken care of! I was able to get a nice variety of foods for not too expensive, which is always nice for breakfast :) Overall, a really nice breakfast spot!
he Original Waffle Shop North is a beloved staple in State College, known for serving up delicious breakfasts for decades. With a rich history in the area, this spot has become a local institution, offering consistently great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The waffles are, of course, the star of the menu—light, fluffy, and perfectly crisped—but you’ll also find a wide range of classic breakfast options like omelets and pancakes. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and efficient, even during the busiest hours. If you want a taste of tradition with a fantastic breakfast, The Original Waffle Shop is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
The only thing you need to worry about is how long the lineup is. Best full breakfast. Super tasty food. It’s a must have visit if you are ok to wait 20-45 min to get in.

Best fish & chips in State College; maybe the best I’ve ever had. Fries are delicious. Burger is delicious. Worth your time & money.
Nice little whiskey bar in State College. Good assortment of whiskeys and beers. Service is mostly students so hit our miss. 1 night was great, the next day was eh.
The burger deal and service was great! Although I find it very upsetting that I paid $17 for some mid “grilled cheese” when starbucks grilled cheese is cheaper and better. Charging me 17 for this was a scam lol.

First time here - usually go to Otto’s. Beers are great. The IPA and the Stumbln Chef Tripel are great beers. Wings are very good and so are the pretzels. The Chicken Parmigiana was a filling and reasonably flavorful. We wanted to get some pizza but we’re full from Beer, Parm, wings, and brick oven baked pretzel.
Honestly really good food. Fancy, and about $20/person with an appetizer. Probably would’ve been less if we didn’t get the crispy deviled eggs but they were just amazing! I mean, look at them could you blame me?! I also got their double patty burger with their “secret sauce”. Attention Mac sauce lovers, it tastes very similar to it!! I was mind blown by how good all the food was. I hope this place is around for a while as this was my first experience with Marzonis and it was above and beyond. Very clean atmosphere, Professional employees, great food, what more can you ask for??
Place was really good, got in quick, ordered our food and was surprised how good it was! The sourdough was really well toasted and buttered very nicely, the Italian sub was for be and the pizza has that nice brick oven taste. Very good!

We had the beef udon, california roll, beef buns and chicken curry don. Everything was good but the beef buns were my personal favorites. Good service and cozy atmosphere as well.
Delicious and packed full of flavor. We had a mix of things off the menu including both bowls, soup based bowls and sushi. All were very good and very flavorful. The sushi took a little longer to come out but very tasty. The portions were huge and the service overall was decent. The music was a bit loud and the restaurant is smaller so it's a bit harder to hear those in your party. The prices were fair considering the size of the portions.
On paper and from photos this restaurant looks good but once you step inside you will see all the things that make it mediocre at best. We arrived at 11:03 and the restaurant was still closed. The waitress lackadaisically walked over to unlock the door two minutes later even though they can see there were people standing outside. Their service is just flat out poor for a so called "Japanese" restaurant. We sat for ten minutes and the table behind us were both trying to flag down a waitress to place our orders. Their wait staff likes to move around and pretend they are busy but never look at the customers. Don't bother coming here if you expect decent service. Now onto the cleanliness of the restaurant. They had just opened but their bathrooms are absolutely filthy. I don't think they've cleaned them since the day before. There were small sauce specs in the soy sauce dipping trays and the cups they leave out for water were sticky. The miso soup bowls were also not clean. Once you look closely you can see all the areas that they cut corners on and are lazy in maintaining standards. The food is actually not bad but fairly overpriced for the portion size and where they are located. I guess when there is no competition in the area it is fine to slip into mediocrity and rest on their past laurels. THIS PLACE IS DIRTY.

We had burgers since we ordered at 3:30pm, there are more dishes available after 4pm. The food and service were excellent. Not impressed by the two beers we tried, not bad, but not great either. The ambience inside is incredible, love the piano bar setup, as well as the sunny rooms. Also, we had no trouble finding a nearby parking spot. We would go back for sure, so we also strongly recommend for a visit. The food and the atmosphere are hard to match!
I was very uninspired walking to the restaurant; the sign was hidden and doesn’t actually lead you to the door. I walked up to the bar and found a seat. From there I was blown away. The bartenders were very responsive and helpful. Then there is the gumbo; I never had better. It was amazing. I can’t walk to go back.
Kind waitress, fast service and good food. They were playing christmas songs and the atmosphere was cozy and nice. They also had a band playing music too. The place is huge and you have the option to sit in the lounge or dining area. Will visit again!

Delicious! I have a soy allergy, but LOVE Asian food and they actually had a menu with soy free options! I was blown away by that. Really good food. Had enough for leftovers later on. Server was very nice and the service was fast. The music was enjoyable. I recommend.
As a Korean International, I can confidently say that the Korean food here is the most authentic you will find in State College. I just moved to NYC for my job, and I really do miss the food here at Kimchi. Highly recommend the tofu soups and marinated short ribs! On top of all this, the service here is also amazing unlike most dine-in restaurants I’ve been to in the area. Thank you Kimchi for the amazing food and service provided to me during my time here in State College, and I look forward to coming back!
I've never been to a Korean restaurant, I loved my first time. I loved the decor, real plants. We ordered a pot of green tea which was delicious and loved the little cups. I wish we could have added tofu to our dishes but it seemed they couldn't due to the way they put the order in. I'd love to go back and order something different to try. Very friendly and welcoming place.

Amazing dinner at Faccia Luna last night. Homemade pasta- crab ravioli, garlic basil linguine, and angel hair. Wife knows that I don’t go out for Italian unless they make their own pasta! Forgot to take a picture of the pepperoni pizza, but that was great too, love the cup pepperoni they use.
I had the Bolognese with angel hair pasta and it was AMAZING!! Sauce was so fresh and tasty. Garlic bread and wedding soup were so yummy. Also snapped a pic of my Hugo Spritz which was great! The mint ice cubes were so neat. Food was exactly what I was looking for and our server was great.
I had the salmon with spinach noodles. My friends got the personal sized oven baked pizza and another friend got steak salad. Everything was delicious and our waiter Zack was wonderful and such a sweetheart!

Overall the experience was good, just not quite great enough for 5 stars. The service was phenomenal from both our waiter and the host. Our waiter accommodated our allergies well and suggested the best menu options. The main reason I couldn't give full stars was that the pricing just doesn't line up with the food. For as much as we spent, I expected the food to be of higher quality and quantity. The fish was bland and had too much oil on it. The pork chop was cooked too much and was chewy. It would have also been nice to have more menu options. The dessert was good and not too heavy.
Both the food and the service were outstanding. Not only was our server friendly and accommodating, but he was also extremely knowledgeable. He knew each dish intimately, and he also was well versed for each specialty cocktail. My Old Fashioned was potent and very good with the perfect amount of bourbon. My meal was incredible. I took a chance on the carrot soup and was so glad that I did. It was smooth, tasty, and the combination of pistachios and honey made this dish most flavorful. For my main, I went with the cavatappi. The portion was huge, with a delicious veal bolognese. I was too full for dessert, but my wife had the sorbet which she fully enjoyed. The atmosphere was perfect for State College, with several Penn State sports photos and artifacts adorning the walls. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience.
I can’t think of a better dining experience than ASG. Service, food and atmosphere were all terrific. The Fall Negroni was spectacular. Truly autumn in a glass. Cheese toast was super. We had the veal bolognese pappardelle and the half chicken for entrees. Each dish was delicious, hearty, fresh, original. Actually, both were inspired. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere is laid back, fun and stylish. Go. There. To. Eat. Drink. And. Enjoy. Definitely coming back.

They recently updated their menu, the new menu has a lot of choices (too many in my opinion), my friend and I got the crab dip it was very good, I got the Margherita Pizza, it was kind of greasy and got soggy quickly... Our server was great. Overall, we had a nice time
Beef on weck was a beef on wreck! Hair in my food! Nasty! I liked this place but I won’t be back. Service got couple stars because they didn’t make me pay for it, as they shouldn’t. If you like thought of flossing with a strangers hair, enjoy Otto’s today!
Great place with plenty of seating, a good variety of food & drinks on the menu, and TVs to watch the game.

Champs is a statement in State College. This location gets busy but it's quite large. The 360 bar has a lot of seats and, besides the first floor, there is an elevated "half floor" and downstairs floor with pool tables and other fun stuff. They card at the entrance. The times we've been here we sat at the tables and at the bar and service was fast and the servers and bartenders were very very nice. They have a large selection of beers and they are cheap; you can get the 16 or 20 oz and take out crowlers. Food is good and the portions are huge. Everything you'd want from a sports bar although it gets very busy!
The service here was top notch. We had a large party and our server was personable on time and had a great vibe, we really felt taken care of by her and the food was made quickly and they let us use the space for a long time.
Excellent experience. I've been a few times and they never make wings crispy enough even when requested, however this time they did and they were perfect.
The Original Waffle Shop West is a beloved dining destination that specializes in serving delicious, made-to-order waffles alongside a diverse menu of hearty breakfast and lunch…
This is my favorite breakfast place at State College! Penn State kiddos are so lucky to have this place for breakfast. They have absolutely a lot of healthy omelets options. The atmosphere is amazing and servers are so kind and helpful.
I've been here countless times growing up and I've never once had a bad experience here. They adjusted to Covid well with takeout orders when it hit. I still have my favorites but maybe I'll try the whole menu in due time. Pancakes are always a good choice and they're generous with toppings/fillings like chocolate chips and blueberries. Really good portions for the prices.
Delicious and fast food served by friendly staff. Would highly recommend
