Lovely service and the food was really good. Way too much for us Brits but we ate what we could. Highly recommend- not far from Port Stanley. Charm special is big and tea good.

This place has what you need. Seriously though I stoped in on a fluke thought this place would be good as any ( and also because I was in need of a greasy spoon style breakfast to soak up the night before ) I ordered French toast with sausage, a side of home fries and a coffee , what came out was hot fresh and seriously delicious (probably could have gotten the small portion too as the regular was to much food). The wait staff were friendly and the the food came out fast and the place it’s self was a honest to goodness small town dinner. great vibes. Good job

Yesterday my husband and I came for breakfast, we ordered coffee and we ordered a charm breakfast to share, as we are both seniors we felt there was lots of food for both of us in the one meal, we were told we were not allowed to do that, we had to order a second meal as they do not allow sharing. I simply do not understand why their POLICY forbids that. If it was a buffet we would understand. We paid for our drinks and left and will not be returning. The meals have historically been very large and in the past we end up leaving food, with things being as expensive as they are today we were trying to enjoy breakfast out while remaining frugal. So sad your POLICY is to turn paying customers away.

The photos pretty much say it all. Paid close to $50 for delivery for 2 items and a can of Pepsi. Was really looking forward to the steak bites but they looked very disappointing and careless. The fish was broken in half for some reason. This was a special meal for the long weekend and I feel ripped off. This was my first and last time eating from here and I do not recommend it. Hopefully someone at this place reads these reviews and makes some changes.

Went here for dinner with my grandma and sister. They have certainly cleaned the building up for the most part (from the previous business), so it’s a much more welcoming space to eat in. We went earlier in the night, so it wasn’t too busy which allowed for a comfortable experience as far as actually being able to have conversations (I have been to a number of restaurants where it was far too loud, be it too many people, loud music, etc). Our server was friendly, and very familiar with the menu. To no fault of hers, she unfortunately had to start off by telling us everything they DIDN’T have available. At the time, they had only been open for a couple of weeks, so that’s understandable in my opinion. Food: Garlic bread with cheese - 9/10 - very tasty, good portion Burger w/ fries - 8/10 (sister’s meal) - was very tasty, well cooked, no complaints, but nothing beats homemade burgers - fries were well done (possibly too much) Steak w/ fries - 9/10 (grandma’s meal) - ordered well done, cooked properly - veggies were good - fries perfect I’m going to be hyper-critical of my meal because I want to see 1881 steakhouse succeed long term: Steak w/ twice baked potato (6/10) (my meal) - twice baked potato was bland, it really made me think they just mashed up the potato and put in back into the skin. Hardly any bacon or cheese noticeable - veggies were also bland and not well seasoned. - the steak was cooked properly and seasoned well. However, the steak was thin. When I go to a steakhouse, I expect to get a thick cut of meat. I don’t think you can cook a really good medium rare with a thin cut of steak. Cookie Skillet - 7/10 - hits the spot for a warm sugar rush - would benefit from handmade cookies (seemed prepackaged) Skor Cheesecake - 10/10 - fantastic! Overall, it was a good first experience. I look forward to going back and trying some other items on the menu. I’m happy to see a steakhouse in St. Thomas, and I hope they can last long-term.

We recently went for the roast beef Mother's Day buffet and the food was absolutely amazing! Our server, Nikki, was absolutely incredible! So attentive, so sweet and very accommodating. I wish there was better lighting in the restaurant but otherwise I love the atmosphere and the good vibes at 1881. 10/10 recommend!

The service was great, very friendly. Unfortunately, the interior wasn't so nice. All grey. Not in different shades of grey. The food was good, but for the price, you could have gone somewhere less expensive.

Fantastic dining experience! Our first time visiting The Clay Oven and it will not be our last. The food was delicious. The service was first class. The owners are so friendly. We had the Set meal for Two, which included Vegetable Samosa, Vegetable Pakora, Chicken Korai, Chana Masala, Pulao Rice & Plain Naan. Lots of food and great value for the price. I highly recommend The Clay Oven as St. Thomas is growing in culinary diversity.

Very lovely restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Excellent food and service. We met the owner who shared alot about how the food is prepared. We have eaten Indian food all over Toronto over many years and this restaurant stacks up with some of the best of those. Obviously they use the best ingredients. We are very impressed and can't wait to go back and try some different items. We tried Sag Paneer for the first time today and we're blown away. One of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever tried. The owner said next time we can order any dish as spicy as we want. We like things hot. But even if you like your dishes mild you will still be delighted with the depth of flavors Clay Oven produces. We ordered extra dishes to take home. Mixed appetizer Platter, Tandoori Platter, Madras Lamb, Lentil soup. Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Pakora, Chicken Tikka. Garlic Naan, Vegetable Samosas. All fantastic! Clearly a very high quality restaurant.

I've been for breakfast on several occasions. Great value, excellent service and a very clean, comfortable restaurant. The breakfast sausage isn't a top choice for me. I think other products could offer better flavor but that's just my opinion. And, for reasons unknown, the kitchen won't let me mix bacon and sausage. It's bacon OR sausage and impossible to get a mix. Overall, a solid breakfast menu and I'll keep going back. Great coffee, too... better than other local spots. Update: The Breakast Skillet is excellent. And huge. Enough to share, or ideal for anyone who is REALLY hungry. It's a grilled combo dish with eggs, bacon, cheese, potato, mushrooms, onion and green pepper all presented in a cast iron skillet with toast on the side. WOW!!

4⭐️ - 07/02/2023 - Went here during my visit to Aylmer because of a recommendation. The employees were attentive and fast at working, greeted us right when we entered and got us a table right away. When serving the food, they forgot which plate had which fish so there was a little misunderstanding there. In the end I am not quite confident we all got the fish we ordered since the waiter himself was confused as well. Aside from that, we ordered the Homemade Fish Chowder, Onion Rings, Calamari, Haddock and Chips, and the Halibut Fish Crispies. Homemade Fish Chowder - Delicious, I tasted that hint of fish flavour inside the creamy chowder. Exactly how I would like my fish chowder. Onion Rings - Good and crispy, how one would expect onion rings to be like. Calamari - Meh, the portion stated that it could serve 2, however from the picture I posted, it doesn’t seem to be the case. Barely enough to serve one of us. Haddock and Chips - Good, the fish was filling but the fries weren’t crispy, overall still delicious. The coleslaw also tasted good along with the entire meal. Halibut Fish Crispies - Good, the fish was decent but the fries weren’t crispy. This also came with coleslaw which helped put together the entire meal. Overall the experience here was pleasant, I do recommend coming here if you are ever nearby!

They don’t tell you what drinks they have and we had to wait for more than half an hour and then yet the food wasn’t even that good

Tried for the first time tonight and I'm very impressed. The staff were so friendly and helpful checking with the spice level before my order was complete. You can taste right away that this is not your typical Indian food restaurant. Extra care is clearly being taken and it shows by the unique flavors. You will see me again so I can continue with more of your menu!!!

I recently ordered delivery from Kurry’s House & Grill and was thoroughly impressed. The Butter Chicken was a masterpiece – rich, creamy, and seasoned to perfection. The Paneer Tikka was equally delicious, with tender paneer and a fantastic blend of spices. The Cheese Naan Bread was incredible, arriving warm and soft, just as if it had come straight from the oven. Each dish was packed with flavor .I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal.

Ordered Tadka Dal, Lamb Biryani, Butter Chicken, 2 orders of naan, and samosas (1 order of 3). This fed our family of 4 very well. The kids loved it all and even tried some of the spicier dishes (all dishes were made to the spice level we requested). The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met in a restaurant. You can tell the passion the chef puts into each and every one of his dishes. It was a pleasure to hear him talk about how important it is to ensure the quality of his food by making his own spice mixes and staying true to his culture when preparing the food. I was invited to sit down at their table (only one table, primarily a take out restaurant hence the rating on atmosphere slightly lowered) to try all of the dishes before paying and leaving with my order. Such exceptional service. A great addition to our city. Well done! We cannot wait to try more dishes from this restaurant.

After I ordered I sat and waited. It was brought out to the table for me. It was neatly packaged. It also came with a small portion or coleslaw. (Nice bonus) This was so so good. The amazing gravy dripping all over as I took first bites. So we'll done. I would totally recommend coming here. I'll be back for sure.

I'm not if I just came here on a off day. I ordered the brisket sandwich. With the smell of the smoker I thought it would be awesome. Kind of disappointed. Three bites of the the brisket and could barely chew through the brisket. Was more like undercooked roast beef. Besides that the service was good, really nice guys.

My son and daughter-in-law had Smoking caboose cater their wedding a few weeks ago. The food was fantastic, the wait staff was excellent and the price was very reasonable! They even helped us navigate safe food for some guests with serious food (gluten) allergies. The chicken and pork were delicious, but the most highly praised food of the night was the brisket! Highly recommend! Thanks Smokin Caboose for a fantastic dinner!

I came in tonight to unwind after work, enjoy the karaoke, eat a nice meal and have a nice smoke outside. I had 2 Pepsis with the garlic bread and overall things went well. However, things took a turn when I went to have a smoke outside. Since my party had cannabis we went to my car at the far side of the parking lot, as to be respectful to the other patrons. My server followed us out and accused us of sneaking in a liquor bottle, drinking it in the car and said I was cut off. when I tried to explain and show her my smoking pipe, she started getting aggressive and told me to leave. That is why I felt the need to leave this review, this would be the first time I have been accused of lying by restaurant staff. That young woman ruined my night because she was loud and impatient, even after I ate and left her a 60% tip, she seemed unhappy from our first interaction. I wasn’t going to be rude to get her attention. So I had to leave and text my party what had happened. So embarrassing

Came in for breakfast during weekday...this place is 5 star. Jessica, our waitress was extremely friendly and very well experienced. Hard to find these days. Food was excellent, coffee was very good, quick service, bar pub atmosphere, so not exactly quiet, but not noisy either. Easy 5 stars...no brainer. Will be back to try wing special. And back for breakfast next time in town....Thank you...

I've been coming here consistently for months getting wings and other apps for $9 after 9pm. They are always so good. Servers do there job very well. Caesar wraps are also great. Potato skins have very yummy bacon bits

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here last night. From the moment we walked in the door we knew we were in for a lovely experience. The decor and atmosphere of the building already sets the tone for an intimate experience. The piano player and fireplaces only add to it. We had shrimp and calamari for our appetizer, perfectly cooked and served with a delicious dip. Our entrees were just as amazing. For desert we had chocolate cake, and we'll be measuring all future cakes to this one. Our server was Jessica. She was extremely attentive, and made sure we enjoyed every second of our experience. The best part was talking fishing at the end of it. We look forward to the next time we are in town and can pop in. Scott and Alisha

We recently celebrated my partner's birthday at this fantastic bistro and we absolutely loved our time here. The menu is super unique, with common dishes made in a special way that really stands out. Every bite was delicious and you can tell there's a lot of care and thought process gone in their cooking.The staff were great—friendly and attentive. They've got a good beer selection too, which is a nice bonus.I was really happy with the variety of yummy vegetarian options. We were with a bunch of friends here, so tried many starters including the fusion ones like avocado bomb, corn cob, which tested great. The highlight for me was the Chicken Parmesan Risotto—it was so tasty and the portion size was perfect.The kids' menu is one of the nicest I've seen, making it a great spot for families. Overall, this bistro is a gem with its unique menu, delicious food, and great service. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can’t wait to come back. We tried Avo mini bombs one of their signature dish and its tasty too!! Also we tried cream of mushroom soup, chicken PRIMAVERA and Chicken Penne Primavera everything was very delicious love the taste, quantity, presentation, good ambiance and amazing customer service.

Stayed in town for work and went here for breakfast, it's pretty quiet, prices are good and very little wait for your food. I was served by Linda most days, service was quick, and if you're a frequent customer she already knows what you want

Great Breakfast place with all the classics but some amazing unique options too with Wraps and Sandwiches. Fiona, our waitress, was extremely helpful and communicative. We tried the Southwest Chicken Wrap and the Vegan Hash. Both of which were really delicious!

We had the opportunity to eat at the roadhouse St Thomas. It's location on Talbot Street and you can miss it. The food and service we're excellent and Kay our server was professional, polite and attentive. The atmosphere was good and there was about a third capacity seated. The food was hot and delicious (see photo/ video). I would recommend the roadhouse and there's plenty of parking and highchairs for the children. Bathrooms were spotless which I really appreciate. If your looking for a rib sticking meal, you might wanna consider the Roadhouse in St Thomas. You'll roll away from the table satisfied. Luv Malcom Stay strong St Thomas.

On this day, my parents and I were on a hunt for a restaurant in St. Thomas. We succeeded in finding an unassuming wing takeout by the name of Wing Boyz downtown on Talbot St. We agreed to go for breaded chicken wings. We placed an order for three pounds of them with two flavours, including Butter Chicken and Sweet Thai Chili. Waiting for the wings, I worked on two cups of Coppa Gelato (Belgian Chocolate, and Pistachio). The Belgian Chocolate was a delight, but the Pistachio was too creamy. It doesn’t compare to the former. The wings repeated the dichotomy of the gelato. I tasted the Butter Chicken and knew something was amiss. It could be that the flavour of Butter Chicken and chicken wings just don’t mix well. In contrast, the Sweet Thai Chili wings were bang on! They took me to heaven with every bite. Every restaurant has underperforming dishes, but as long as the best dishes are strong enough, people will keep coming back.

Best wings ever I had in Canada. Big , best and juicy and staff were so friendly and suggested me different sauces. Great experience.

This is hands-down the Bliss place I’ve ever had beef! My husband says this is the best steak he’s ever had in his entire life and he is pretty picky. My burger was absolutely delicious. Butternut squash, risotto with pumpkin was phenomenal. Everything we had, was a unique taste and flavour, and every bite was delicious. Highly highly recommend checking out this place.

I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The Brussels sprouts cesar salad is one of my favorite. We had a wagyu steak, a dinner special of lamb roulade and the chicken piccata. All the dishes were excellent. I will be back.

BEST STEAK PERIOD. This is hands down the best tasting steak in the area code. The entire dining experience is so high quality from walking into the door, to the the cocktails, to choosing your own knife, to being blessed by a perfectly aged and well-loved piece of beef. This is the ONLY place you should be dining-in for a steak in St Thomas. Been twice, excited to take people back. I included a couple photos.

My experience here was excellent. One of the best pizzas I have had in Canada so far. I am talking in perspective of both as an Indian origin now a Canadian. We tasted two pizzas one of which was more suited for people who dont like spicy food. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. The crispiness of the qood fire pizza was just the cherry on the top. Will definitely try out again more dishes when we go back there.

A delicious evening on the patio. The most diverse craft beer selection in town and the pizza is perfection if you like a thin crust with some chew and fresh local ingredients combined in new and changing seasonal options.

I'm in town for a few months on a job and was lucky to find this gem out in St. Thomas. Legends has become a regular spot for us, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is very good. The wings are great, my favorite flavor is the legends medium. The nachos are really good as well. We ordered the deep fried cheesecake one time and I am not a big dessert guy but it was probably the best dessert I've ever had in life. Would highly recommend.

Friendly service and a clean dining area. We were there on a weekday so it wasn't very busy. The greeter and our server were very nice. Reasonable prices and a good selection for draft beer. Our meals weren't great. Some under-cooked, some over-cooked, but they were still tasty. We'll give them another try.

1st time here and we'll worth it!!! Our Server Emma was great with Recommendations And knowledgeable of things to see and do while in the area. A little on the pressure side for some stuff like the sides of French fries for 10.99 but overall was a good experience. The house gravy With the French fries was really really good also. My Brother enjoyed the fish and chips, The batter was a little thick but there was a lot of meat in there so it was really good he nodded. My father enjoyed the chicken parm and the portion size was just perfect. If you still have room and you want dessert, the rock slide brownie!!!!
