Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in St. Louis – 2024

This place was incredible! The view is stunning, it's very hard to get a view like this anywhere else. The service was pretty good overall. It took a little over 40 minutes for someone to actually come over to us but once we had someone it was great and she was very on top of things. This is some of the best food I've ever had as well! Their burger tastes excellent, the beef was cooked to perfection, and the drinks looked as amazing as they tasted. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time!

An absolute must see destination. The atmosphere is phenomenal and the outdoor rooftop bar is heated and cozy. Food was great and actually fairly priced. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the city again!

This venue is pretty unique in STL, the atmosphere and view probably makes it worth a trip, but the food was pretty average, maybe even a tad below. The Smoked Mac and Cheese was probably the best item, but it's almost certainly a liquid smoke being used to flavor it. The Smoked Salmon Chips were not great.. not "send them back bad", but I didn't finish them. The chips themselves were not crunchy, and the salmon was dry and pretty bland. The Birria tacos were very small and had almost no meat.. it was about 930pm, maybe they were running out and started skimping? I have no idea, but if you look at the photos, the portion is so small you can barely spot it (plenty of leaves on top though). Couple this with the fact that the pricing is premium because of the view and atmosphere, and it's a pretty bad result. If I could do it over, I would just come and have a drink and take in the view for a bit and then go eat elsewhere.

Had my birthday brunch here. The food was great and the rooftop patio was as well. Only dislike is a service issue. My son attempted to salt his eggs but the holes in the shaker were so large and the grains so small that it poured out profusely all over the eggs. We explained it to the server and she was super nice and said she would get new eggs right away. Well, she did but then she charged us for them. I feel like when we're spending well over $100 between food and drinks (on my birthday which we said) you could just grab a couple of new eggs. Missed opportunity for good service.

The Bellwether provided a mixed experience for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was great, earning a solid 5/5 with its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were also very good. The food, however, was hit-or-miss. While the presentation was mostly pleasing, the dishes varied widely, with some lacking greatly in their flavor profile. The bread served with the cheese board was hard as a rock and inedible, necessitating a replacement. Overall, it was an uneven experience with some dishes shining brightly and others falling flat. For now, it stands at a 3/5.

First Impression: very nice patio on top of the building. Cocktails, enjoyed the Thevenet Chardonnay. I didn’t have the butttery taste but more of an oak taste, but still very tasty. Salad, enjoyed the mixed greens salad. We split it which was the right amount for us. Entree, I had the Mahi Mahi with fresh veggies. Excellent flavors with a small amount of heat which enhanced the dish. View, we watched the sunset on a beautiful night. Service, Andrew was excellent. Parking, on the street or across the street in the lot.

I made an early afternoon reservation. Due to a metro delay, I was a half hour late but the restaurant took great care of my guests. The atmosphere is open and welcoming. The food is delicious. I got the salmon. I've eaten a lot of salmon after living in Washington State and Alaska. This was in my top 3, probably #1 best. The prices are reasonable for the great food and service. I'll definitely return. Update: still amazing. I returned and it's great

When I fly back into the states I always drop by my hometown of St Louis Missouri looking for hidden gem restaurants like this place. The Golden Hospitality is why I return to this restaurant often with the freshest delicious cuisines on the menu. Fastest professional service by Kevin at the bar during Happy Hour. The food was really good I wasn’t upset with anything besides the bread that came with the salmon dip but that’s because I have sensitive teeth the bread chips were just super crunchy hard . Other than that everything was amazing!!

Great place with great service and ambience. Reservation recommended and slightly on the pricier side. The shrimp with grits was good, but the highlight was the salmon - super yummy. Highly recommended if you need a fine dine experience while in STL. Whether you are a solo tourist or planning for a small group catch up with friends or for a date, this place would suit everyone. If there’s one area to improve that would be the selection of beers on tap, would love to see more variety vs the usual cans.

Took my daughter here for brunch and wasn't disappointed. Reservations recommended. Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately came to late for the bottomless mimosas but the food was great. I love a good breakfast burrito and it was bigger than I was expecting. I have to come back and try some other items on the menu.

It's rare that a restaurant hits fully on every single dish. This is one of those experiences where everything was so good I couldn't pick one dish over another. Yes. It's that good. The deviled eggs with pan fried capers... amazing. Salt Roasted Beets with fennel and apple... wow. Roasted Rabbit with Acorn Squash and Mushrooms... just so good. Seared Scallops... will definitely be back for more. Cheech cocktail with mezcal and amaro... wonderful smoky bitters cocktail. We then asked for a similar cocktail and got one the bartender made up there that was smoky bitter and mildly chocolatey. Yum. Fantastic service. Cozy beautiful atmosphere in an old building across from the park. Easily one of the best restaurants in St Louis.

The atmosphere is great, however the interior is all hard surfaces so there’s no sound absorption resulting in a noisy atmosphere. The food was mostly on point and delicious. The Short Ribs were to die for. Very well executed. The coating on the fried green tomatoes coating was bland and lacked any flavor. I’m all for letting the tomato speak for themselves. The Scallops were on the small side but well executed.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner with several courses from the snacks, small plates, and entrees sections of the menu. The short rib tasted amazing with the perfect amount of spice. Both crispy artichokes and green tomatoes had the perfect amount of crunch and flavor. Everything about our first Little Fox experience exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to return for another meal.

Amazing little spot! Bright, unique food choices you can’t find anywhere else. Great ambiance and impeccable service. Make reservations or get there early to beat the crowd. It’s busy and rightfully so. Will definitely be back!

We went here to celebrate my husband's birthday. He loves steak. We had a scallops appetizer, he had the ribeye and I had lamb chops, both were delicious and prepared beautifully. Our server was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend.

THE finest dining experience you could ask for. My guy Charles was very professional and charismatic. From the waygu to the carrot cake everything was the best quality of food one can eat. Absolutely delicious. It’s a must stop for the best steak in St. Louis.

Wow! Awesome dining experience! Steak was excellent. Huge choice of Bourbons. Waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was perfect. And the Bourbon bread pudding was an excellent dessert to share! Recommend!

Absolutely amazing place. Food, drinks, and service is top notch. Bar tenders know how to make really good drinks. I love the different specials that they have since it gives you something new to try each time you go. Definitely stop by and check this place out.

Could not be happier with making this my birthday choice. The atmosphere and food was out of this world spectacular. Located just a small walk from the Anheuser-Busch brewery, this wonderful lounge shouldn’t be missed. The smell of hops along with the view of Pestalozzi street capture a charming feel of the neighborhood. I can’t think of a single thing that was better than the next. First the splendid cocktails, which are some of the best in the Lou, next the Entrees of marquee dishes including a phenomenal rotating lot, and lastly, some dessert options that cap off what will be a memorable evening. Loved every second of it. Thank you for making my day special, Al.

I came here to see my favorite mixologists from another location 14 years ago was not disappointed. Drew and Terry are as great as always, with professionalism and flair. The cocktail menu is amazing, with some theatrical service mixed in, but I won't divulge which ones. Will certainly return next time I'm in town.

1111 was a great place for a celebratory dinner. The atmosphere was great with excellent service, amazing food, and wonderful beer & wine options. We both had the specials, but also enjoyed the mussels appetizer. It was amazing and we will go back especially for that! The soup and bread were favorites as well.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. We split a salad, egg plant and a tiramisu dessert. They split the salad and entree for us, which was great. It was cool enough to sit in their outdoor dining which we really enjoyed.

Came here for dinner and my brother and I decided to grab seats at the bar. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere is pretty chill although very nice inside as well. We had delicious cocktails (try the jalapeño pineapple margarita), calamari, and ribeye steaks. Everything we had was 10/10. Highly recommended checking this place out.

We were referred to Charlie Grotto’s by a friend who has dined here several times. We were grateful for the recommendation. All 4 in our party were impressed with the food and the service. It was refreshing to see the front of the house in a suit. Our server, Tim, had the perfect personality for the venue. He made outstanding recommendations and after serving customers there for 11 years - he knows.

I will not eat Italian when leaving Chicago. When visiting St Louis I was told that we had to eat at Charlie Gitto’s. Not only was the food outstanding. But the service was brilliant. Scott took great care of us Friday night. So our server was Scott but his co worker Steve was just as amazing. The two of they complemented each other and took great care of us. I would go back just to watch the Scott & Steve show - Again these guys were great. Try to sit on the patio and definitely get the toasted ravioli.

Beautiful ambience with large seating. Reservation recommended. We went for our birthday celebration and loved the vibe as well as food! The server suggested great wine choices - Muscato! And the vegetarian pasta was amazing - right amount of sauce and lots of veggies! The carrot was too sweet for us - wouldn’t recommend that for a person who like their deserts to be less sweet! Otherwise the cake was great!

Went here while in town to celebrate our 10 years anniversary. (We selected “anniversary” when booking our reservation and every single employee we encountered wished us happy anniversary!) Hands down the best steak my husband and I have ever had. Mary was our server and she was the best! Kept us laughing, drinks full, great recommendations. Two hosts were so kind and friendly. Another man helped filled our waters and was so fun to talk to. The “vibes” of the restaurant are so relaxing and friendly. They gave us a free dessert to celebrate! Definitely chose this local spot over the chains nearby next time you want a good steak!!!

What a wonderful evening we had hosting our son's rehearsal dinner at Carmine's! Working with Allison and coordinating all of the details of the event together made for a successful evening. Staff and service was outstanding as usual (shoutout to Jess the Bartender!) and the food was perfect. Highly recommend!

Came to this beautiful restaurant with my dad and was immediately met with the friendliest staff who welcomed us into the restaurant with smiles. We had the best server named Mary who was very attentive and seemed to enjoy what she does which made the experience even more special! The food was absolutely delicious, my dad ordered the Swordfish which was the Fresh Fish Of The Day and it was absolutely cooked to perfection, the flavor was so incredible! I ordered the lobster bites with a lemon sauce which was a very subtle and sweet flavor that paired amazingly with the house bread. We both ordered the Broccoli & Cheddar Mashed Potatoes for a size which were also very delicious and flavorful. For the dessert we got the STL style ooey gooey butter cake that was very rich and sweet but probably some of the best ive had! (note: my dad has a shellfish allergy and forgot to tell our server and they were very very kind about re-making his food! absolutely wonderful service) The environment was very luxurious, I will definitely be coming here again.

Had a fun time coming here, just got the food, didn't do the side with the band as it seemed too loud to hangout Food was great! Plenty of drink options also. We walked over from our hotel like 10 minutes away so wasn't bad, walk was a little sketchy at times though Overall chill spot with good food and drinks and entertainment if ya want

A Mixed Experience My husband and I recently dined at The Oyster Bar and had a somewhat mixed experience. We were warmly greeted by our waiter, Luke, who was not only nice but also humble, making us feel welcomed from the start. He promptly seated us on the patio, which seemed like a lovely idea at first. However, our outdoor dining experience was quickly marred by a swarm of flies that plagued our table. After a bit of time trying to enjoy the view, we decided to move inside, which turned out to be a great choice. The air-conditioned room provided a refreshing escape and took our minds off the pesky flies outside. I ordered the Gator Tacos, which were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and a fun twist on traditional tacos. My husband opted for the Chargrilled Oysters, hoping they would be reminiscent of what we enjoyed in New Orleans. Unfortunately, he found them lacking and was quite disappointed. Overall, The Oyster Bar has potential with its inviting atmosphere and delicious food, but the patio area definitely needs some attention—perhaps a thorough cleaning to help reduce the fly problem. If you're considering a visit, I’d recommend dining indoors for a more comfortable experience.

Stopped by on our way to the airport. We had 12:45 reservations and were seated right away. Lucky us, it was crabfest! We had the crab dip, crabby oysters, and voodoo tacos. Everything was beyond delicious! Our waitress, Becks?, was amazing and attentive even though there was a crowd. There was a great live band. Loved the outside seating. Would love to return!

This has been on our list for awhile and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere has a great vibe and the restaurant has a chic interior. The service was great but the food was fantastic!! The trout with brown butter could melt in your mouth and was packed with so much flavor. The chicken was exceptionally moist and tender. The Mac n cheese was a perfect side to share and was deliciously gooey. Don’t skip dessert here. The chocolate mousse was the perfect way to end an amazing meal.

Great place. High quality service and amazing atmosphere. They have some amazing food. I would highly recommend the chicken liver pâté. Very special plate unique in this restaurant: The savory taste of the liver with caramelized onions is an amazing experience to the palette. The duck breast entree is very delicious as well. The French onion soup and beef tartare are also worth trying. However, I feel that they often make the meats too salty. I would suggest asking for less salt when ordering meats (such as the tartare and duck).

Wish there was a place like this by every single stadium! Hands down the only place to pregame a Cardinals game, watch college football on Saturday, or any sporting event in the massive central area surrounded by huge TVs. You can walk right through to Busch Stadium or even grab a seat upstairs to see some of the ball game. The toasted raviolis are amazing, and service is fast! Cocktail and beer prices are a little high but better than inside the stadium. Loved walking into a sea of red jerseys here!

Imagine cheering on your favorite football team and enjoying a cold beverage that makes your body tingle with excitement, and feel content at the same time. That describes this place, the beer is cold, the faces are friendly and nice(Thank You Sarah, Dan and Mike) and service and is so good that it will make you drop your…. Well you can finish the rest of the line…. Come on down and have a great time!!!

If you love the St. Louis Cardinals ball club, recent or historically, Ballpark Village is a must. You can feel the energy of the fans as much here as you can in Busch Stadium. It’s packed with restaurants, clubs, shops, a hotel, permanent living accommodations, a junior baseball diamond, live performance stage, and the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum and Gift Shop. You can walk around on game day or come in during away games and off-season to watch sports and games on the enormous Jumbotron in Bally’s Sports Live! while getting a drink and/or food for you and your family. Note: On game days, be advised that you will have to pass through metal detectors to insure there are no knives, guns, etc. on you or other patrons. Also, no outside food or drink are allowed (except maybe bottled water).

The toasted ravioli met expectations, and I recommend having that if you're visiting. The marinara sauce that accompanied the ravioli was even better. The lasagna, pesto cheese ravioli, and chicken pesto were all fine, but coming back, I would try something else. The meatball sandwich had large meatballs but inconsistent cheese throughout (a lot of cheese on one side and not much on the other), and the bread was not toasted well. The olive oil that accompanied the bread was not very good.

One of the Diner, Drive-in and Dive featured restaurants in St. Louis. It did not disappoint. We made an early dinner reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. Our first order of food, calamari, arrived quickly after we ordered and it was so good. We enjoyed our meal and had a lovely conversation with our waitress.

We have been here twice now. Not sure why the ratings here are so high. Service is fine, but food is very average and for the price extremely mediocre. The bread with olive oil and the toasted raviolis are good. The pizza, salads and main dishes have been disappointing.
