Staff was friendly and service fast. Great atmosphere that's old and unassuming as a good BBQ joint should be. Great waterfront location. The food though was just not good. Pulled chicken was dry like opening a can at home and coming back the next day to eat it. Brisket looked frozen and reheated and was AWFUL. The manager tried it and spit it out. Now I want to be fair. They took the brisket back, apologized, replaced with ribs and wings and made a big effort to make it right. That's why I'm giving 3 stars not 1. They stepped up. The ribs were much better. But sides were bland and kids meals too. MAYBE we caught them on a bad day but I don't understand how you can serve this as brisket and be proud of it. Maybe just go on a weekend so food is fresher. We went out of our way since hardly anyone has brisket around here and we most likely won't be back. Great spot, great digs, great staff/service. My guess is they buy low quality food or use frozen. Either way it was not good.
Great location and descent bbq. Fairly extensive menu for a BBQ joint. Had half chicken with green beans and sweet potato. Chicken was good but not as good as used to be. Beans were tasty but basically canned green beans with bacon for flavor. Sweet potato was really overcooked. White sauce for chicken was a little bit on sweet side for me. My wife's baked potato with pulled chicken was great
Beautiful location within Jackson County Park on the waterfront of Guntersville Lake. Friendly service with an expansive menu. Enjoyed the BBQ plate with hot BBQ sauce and hash brown casserole! Cheeseburger and Baked Beans were delicious as well. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with direct access to the dock.

My husband and I went the other day for dinner and it was great! But today I ordered a meal through DoorDash from Ruby Tuesdays and it was PERFECT. Even my kids were devouring it. It was nice and hot and yummy!
Janice was a great sever and everything was great the only thing I wish was different was that the tvs were off didn't care for what was on the screen through it had no sound

First time coming here, I got 2 imperial hibachi plate, and man this plate is huge it could feed 3 people easily, and only $12! My only complaint is Just the food needed more flavor, I will come back tho and maybe ask them to add more seasoning.
Fantastic hibachi combos with massive portions at an unbeatable price. The spring rolls are also very tasty, with a distinct white pepper flavor. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!
We really enjoyed our meal. The chicken bento boxes had generous portions and properly cooked rice. The salad ingredients were fresh and crisp. The chicken was not dry and had lots of flavor. Hibachi chicken likewise was a generous portion and prepared just right!

Such a great “AMERICAN” Diner . Their meat is fresh and not frozen delivered fresh about every two days!!!! This is so “Refreshing” to know about the food served here. Large servings & “Fresh Ingredients” assures “No One Leaves Hungry “ said the owner of Gear Jammer’s My “BYB” Barn Yard Burger and side salad was delicious and my guest ordered the Veggie Plate that came with a free dessert ❣️ Can’t Say Enough❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Food was cold, being the only customer. Ordered bacon never smelt bacon cooking. Bacon came out cold looked as if it had been pre cooked setting for quite a while. My pancakes tasted like they had some sort of green pepper in them. So the grill obviously isn't cleaned properly. Paid 30$ for a cold meal. Didn't ask for a refund. I won't be doing business here again. I suggest no one else does either, but what's one bad review? Find out for yourself. Oh the utensils where also dirty. So the people who work in the back are lazy.
We tried Gear Jammers simply because they had a 4.7 rating on Google. We were not disappointed. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and explained the food could be ordered off the menu or served from the buffet. I ordered a western omelet with a biscuit and gravy. They were delicious. Cooked just right and served hot. My wife and our daughter ordered sandwiches and they were pleased too.

This place is a solid 4.5, but Google doesn't allow .5s in the review. Nonetheless, it is as advertised, it's a warehouse with pool tables, food and beer. The wings are big and pretty good. The pizza is okay and not a bad second option. Good place to take kids.
Just a short distance from the Unclaimed Baggage store. Good food and a pleasant atmosphere. The pizza was delicious and absolutely covered with pepperoni!
During our visit, we had the pleasure of savoring a range of delectable dishes, including chicken wings, rolled tacos, and mouthwatering half-pound hamburgers straight off the grill. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more. The peach sangria, with its luscious sweetness, stood out as a must-try beverage. The establishment offers ample seating, ensuring a comfortable dining experience, and the service provided was both prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment. Although I'm not particularly fond of beer, I couldn't help but notice the well-stocked bars as I snapped a picture of the impressive drink menu. One standout feature is the stage for live entertainment, which adds an exciting atmosphere to the evenings. Vegetarians and vegans may find it a bit challenging to find suitable options, but with careful consideration, one can still enjoy a satisfying meal here. As a diner who avoids dairy, I was pleasantly surprised by the hamburger, which boasted a delectable smoky flavor and was perfectly accompanied by a pretzel bun. Additionally, the establishment offers various arcade-style games, billiards, and even foosball, ensuring that patrons have a great time beyond just their dining experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend this place for its delightful menu, friendly service, and the additional entertainment options it offers.

Happy this place opened back up! Still the best breakfast around!!! The food is cooked perfectly! May cost a bit more, but still worth every penny!!!
Very unimpressive experience this time at Liberty. Had to ask for mother in laws apple pie 4 times, both my with and her mother had meal in the picture. Both said it was not very good. I had a footlong hotdog with chili and cheese. Hot dog was good but chili not so much.
The staff were courteous and friendly, but not many smiles. Maybe it was too early in the morning for smiles? It seemed to have a pretty good atmosphere. The place was pretty busy, so it took a while to get the food compared to some of the other local restaurants. I ordered eggs over easy, and they came way over easy as a lot of the egg white was not cooked. I like crispy bacon, which theirs was not. I don't know if they were short-handed in the kitchen and the cook was in too big a hurry to get the food out or if this was normal. Definitely will try lunch sometime to see if the food comes fully cooked. They may have just been having an off day?

We really, really, really enjoyed 50 Taters!! It’s called a hidden gem of Alabama. Go to Unclaimed Baggage, then have a giant baked potato with pulled pork slathered all over and great Mac ‘n Cheese, or some crispy chicken fingers. The iced tea is insanely good. There are daily specials, fun drinks, fun desserts, and just some great southern cooking. The staff was also super helpful, fun, and informative, and they’ll chat right up with you (they split all tips between the staff, and you’re not assigned one waiter but they all just come up when the time comes—keep that in mind!) Come to 50 Taters for great southern cooking!
Fantastic loaded pork BBQ potato and fried pickles. I was unable to 'comfortably' finish the huge potato, as well as the big plate of fried pickles. A secluded location behind the Wendy's off of 72 in Scottsboro. My servers were great. In fact, the entire staff seemed all smiles and happy to be working at 50 Taters. Plenty of parking. I will certainly return to try other menu items and the well maintained salad bar. The prices are very reasonable. Minus the tip, the meal was less than $20. If I had left with a box of leftovers, it would have been another entire meal. I loved the fried pickles! The facility is adorned with interesting items. Thanks for a nice experience. Kudos to whomever hired the friendly, happy, smiling, and professional staff.
I think the hype is a little larger than needs be. Service was good and looked like they had a lot of help which is always good. 4 star on food because sweet tea was great and very large glasses. Maybe I chose wrong not sure it wasn’t bad but no where close to what I expected based on hype. Cuban and cheeseburger plus fried apple pie with ice cream. Cuban needed spicy mustard not plain mustard plenty of meat on it. Mac and cheese made with American white cheese it was good. Cheeseburger plenty of bacon but had better. Dessert good but nothing to write home about. Based on food, it could’ve been three stars, but like I stated earlier four stars because of the sweet tea.

The Docks is amazing! Linda and her son were so kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. We had the shrimp and grits, steak, chicken, grouper fingers, and cheese fritters along with salads and bread/butter. On top of that, the views were breathtaking—perfect for a relaxing meal. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!
Went here for the first time last night! Staff are super nice. I really liked the grouper fingers as an appetizer. Price for food is very reasonable and portions are plenty! The live music was great friends of ours and they did a great job! We really enjoyed our evening! We will for sure be back.
If you follow me, you know I travel with my pup. So I'm always on the look out for pup-friendly good food. Before arriving, I verified my old girl was welcome. She was allowed on the patio with a leash. Which brings me to my server. She was a delightful lady who worked very hard at taking care of her tables. She made sure our drinks were promptly refilled, including a bowl of water for my girl. We ordered a fried green tomato appetizer. It came with two succulent shrimp on top. My companion ordered shrimp and grits. They have sausage in them, which she's not fond of, but she picked it out and it was fine. They didn't scimp on the shrimp! My fried catfish came with fries and a tartar sauce I'd eat with a spoon. Well done.

Our second time here! Wish I would have remembered our server name. We had the same gentleman both times. The food was good again. The salsa tasted a little off today tho. But, our tea and water was kept full, the food came out fast and hot and everyone ate it all. We were a party of 7 today. The churros were awesome!
Had a great experience at Buenavista. The food is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant. The service we received was exceptional. We were checked on frequently and our drinks and chips/salsa were brought out fast. The restaurant has a nice indoor atmosphere and during cooler months, the outdoor seating area is great as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat at.
I would say, if you would like to experience a wonderful, Mexican restaurant environment, this is the place for you, but do not expect good food. The salsa was lacking flavor all together and the chicken was not fresh at all. Don’t get me started on the margarita—-The worst house margarita mix I think I’ve ever had but I will say that it did give me a buzz. Unfortunately, I need more than a buzz to eat here.

Really good double fried wings. I prefer dry rub (or just regular) to the moist ones, btw. Good tea, very nice waitress.
Wonderful food and service! The wings and drinks were amazing!
We came in for lunch today and were greeted with a great big “Welcome to Jefferson’s!”. Our waitress was Michaela. WE LOVED HER! She was just amazing. Our drinks were never low and she was such a hoot. It’s a wonder how she does it, running around in that boot. We ordered the Double Dipped wings and a Buffalo Chicken Salad. It was all so delicious. We will 100% be back! Great job!

The catfish at this place is some of the very best I've ever had! 2 "BIG" fillets, lightly battered and fried to perfection. Cheesesticks are so good and flavorful, definitely worth the try. They have a combo appetizer option that lets you pick up to 4 different things. The staff is very friendly and nice. They act and treat you like they are genuinely glad that you stopped in and they're happy to see you. You're probably going to find that other people in this place are smiling, laughing, and happy, too! I love that it tends to get a little loud with laughter and people happy to see and visit with each other. It's not the library, lol.
The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The bartenders are attentive to their customers and the drinks were made right. Definitely go for their Seafood special! I've been there a few times and had different menu items and everything was done fast and you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and quantity. Definitely going again.
The bar is nice and clean. The staff is somewhat friendly. Amanda is my favorite. Food is good. Drinks are a little high, but so is groceries and gas. The patrons are not very welcoming to newcomers. Other than that, good place to go.

This was a shocker. A small, out of the way cafe with the best burger I have had in a long time. Meat cooked to perfection. Bun toasted but not hard or overly crunchy. Fresh vegetables on board. Fries were frozen but cooked to perfection. Even the small fries were done but not harder than the larger ones. All served in a small country store like building, with a real down home feel. Service was great, friendly and it felt like old friends running the place. Prices weren't bad at all considering the quality and atmosphere. Antique toy trucks decorating some parts as well as decorative food items mixed in. Plans are already made to return and try the hamburger steak.
I drove out of my way to try this place out and I can't say I was disappointed! I love visiting restaurants off the beaten path. :) About 10 minutes north of Scottsboro, this little place feels like home when you step inside. Honestly, it sort of looks like home from the outside, too! There's a sweet memorial for a dog who has passed near the front door, honoring their favorite spot, which I thought was precious. Even though I popped in only like 35 minutes til close, I was welcomed warmly and not rushed. Their menu has American classics like hamburgers, chicken tenders, sandwiches, hot dogs, onion rings, fries, etc. It seems like burgers are the main attraction here, though, so I got their take on a mushroom and Swiss burger (my fav) and some French fries. The sweet tea I had to drink was perfectly refreshing and quite sweet, just the way I like it. I do remember thinking the total was a touch high for a single patty, fairly thin burger, but it is what it is. At least it was clearly fresh and high quality, which is much more than you can say for fast food. Like I said, food was cooked fresh but still came out to me in a timely manner. Heck, the fries were still so hot I burned my mouth a teeny bit! I was just trying to eat and get out of their hair before closing, so my bad there haha. Frozen-fried crinkle cuts but they were nice and crispy. My biggest complaint about the whole experience was the salt was sort of just thrown on them in a pile at the top. So a few fries were extremelyyyyy salty and others not at all. The burger was, as expected, the star here! Cooked about medium-well, it was still plenty juicy despite the relative thinness of the patty. The mushrooms and Swiss cheese were so buttery and melty together. They add bacon to their mushroom and Swiss and honestly I could take it or leave it. Some of it wasn't as crispy as I prefer, and I think the mushrooms add the extra savory punch so bacon makes it a little heavy, but I'm honestly nit picking here. It was a very yummy burger. I very much enjoyed myself. This is the kind of spot my folks would love, so I hope to bring them back in the future, and also to come try the delightful-sounding Moon Pie banana pudding!
Cool country atmosphere and music playing. Great service and Really good food!. ... They serve the biggest Bacon cheeseburger that I had ever held on to!!. Recommended.

Pretty good food. I had the Dragon Roll and Steak Hibachi. My daughter had the California Roll and the kid's Steak and Noodles. Service was good, but slightly vacant. I had to wave them down a few times for a box and my check, but that's alright. They were super pleasant. We spent about $20 each, but we had a full meal AND a sushi roll each, so it made sense. The photo below is of the kid's Steak and Noodles.
Raw. I ordered a filet dinner. The first attempt was cooked very well.. too well. I ask for a medium to medium well. Honestly, I think the first attempt was a sirloin also. The cut looked completely different. Flat, and tough. The waiter was great. No fuss, took my food back to the kitchen. Then came my second plate. The steak looked like a filet this time. I poked it with my fork and it was tender. Now I'm excited, I love a good steak. I cut a peice open, and this thing "moo'ed" back. It was cold inside. Couldn't have been on the grill for longer than a minute. It was a busy night, and I didn't want to fuss about it. I just took the steak home and re-cooked it myself. This wasn't the waiters fault, so I gave him a healthy tip. I used to manage a large restaurant . As a manager, it was my responsibility to make sure we gave our customers the best service we could. No one came out to our table. The waiter was on his own to handle the situation. I MIGHT give this establishment another chance. But, given our last experience, it will be a significant amount of time.
Server not trained in food allergies / gluten free. Did get gluten free soy sauce but hibachi dish was served with wheat based noodles (server had no clue). Spicy roll trio dinner was a large portion but presentation / appearance was not good. Tast was ok - a bit over spiced which dominated the flavor compared to other restaurants. Server did not communicate well and not very attentive - seemed too interested in the baseball game.

We loved this place! The server at the buffet line was so sweet and helpful. The food was excellent with large portions. I had the fish with squash casserole, beans, a roll, and honey butter. We picked which dining area (individual rooms in the old house) we wanted. We chose a small one with a fireplace and had it to ourselves. Great food, great service, great prices, and great atmosphere. The only downside is that we live 90 minutes away!
Great lunch spot and country cooking. Today our service was quite bad. However, in past visits has been much better than today. You get served your plate in a buffet line, which is great. Your drink, however, is ordered from and brought by a waitress. We were half finished and finally had to get up and find our waitress. She then forgot the extra roll and corn muffin we asked for when we finally got drinks at the end of our meal. & you do not get water, so we were very parched and coughing. But again, normally, good service. It was my wife and I. I am a 58 year old biological male. I have never been confused by others or had to reveal my pronoun of He Sir, or him......This same waitress looked me dead in the face and called me Ma'am over and over. We got a laugh out of that.
Food and service were great Husband had the lunch buffet I had a hamburger steak and was allowed to substitute veggies from the buffet for my fries. Butter Pecan cake was a perfect ending to a relaxing meal

What an amazing place this is! The owners were very personable. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was to die for. We had jalapeño poppers, Philly cheese fries, and a jalapeño burger. Food was off the charts good! When I say jalapeños poppers, I need you to understand that this is NOT fake, breaded garbage. I’m talking about fresh jalapeños, stuffed with cream cheese, and wrapped in bacon. Poppers done RIGHT!
The food was tasty, the fries and onion rings were a little oily for our preference bud very flavorful. The burger was delicious and the Buffalo chicken fries were ad well. The ice cream appealed to be home-made. This will be a new go-to for us when we are in town.
This is my new favorite restaurant in Scottsboro. Excellent service. The smashburger was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and had that slight crunch on the outside. Handcut fries are the perfect addition. The extreme milkshake is on another level. Well crafted and bursting with flavor. The owners are super friendly.
