Ordered take out for moms birthday. Throughout the years north 82 has maintained the quality of their dishes. I am still utterly in love with the Greek salad here. It is perfect every single time, for ten years or more at this point. My parents loved their meals as well. The service was respectful, courteous and kind at pick up! One of my favourite local restaurants that I will always recommend. Update Dec 2024: Hands down still one of my favourite restaurants. My go to for the BEST Greek salad I’ve ever had in my entire life. They also have fantastic bruschetta and the best cheese tortellini despite not being overly Italian in their menu. The thing I love here is that it’s consistent in quality and portion sizes. The prices have gone up with inflation and salads are sadly no longer included in the meals but it is what it is. Our servers are always so jovial and friendly- it’s always a pleasure to dine here. It’s a large restaurant with a big parking lot & plenty of seating. We went early in the evening and had most of the place to ourselves! Clean, consistent. Always a favourite that I need to come to when I am home visiting.
It was a little short staffed, so the wait was pretty long. The garlic mashed potatoes were yummy. Prime Rib sandwich was a whole slice of prime rib cooked to your choice temperature.
This place is AMAZING! I loved every minute I spent there with my husband, and I wish they would open in Toronto or Mississauga. We went yesterday to have an early dinner, our server Lydia was very welcoming and attentive. We ordered the spinach dip for starters and chicken souvlaki and chickne oscar for main dishes and the were all so yummy. The portion sizes are very fulfilling.

Definitely the best burgers, fries, and chicken fingers in town! Reliably delicious and always great, genuine customer service. Dave has a true gift for making delicious food! His creations are all above and beyond and you can tell that he has put a lot of thought and heart into each menu item. I'm a total foodie and know that whatever I get at Nova Grillhouse is going to be delicious!! Highly recommend.
Look forward to trying more off their menu! The bbq chicken bacon sandwich was sooo delicious - the house made focaccia bread was the best part! Will definitely be doing more take out here :)
The family burger deal is delicious, and a great value. The oreo desert isn't something I'd normally have but it was really delicious (included with the burger deal) This was my first time eating eating from here, and judging by the pamphlet menu I'll have to try some other offerings..

At the last minute, I decided to surprise my wife with a dinner date, making a last-minute reservation here at 7:00pm. We got in a bit early but was offered immediate seating and then over the course of the evening we received some of the best service and food we've had in quite some time (I would say since Philly). Kaylin was an amazing server and assure the best experience possible with chilled double bourbons, fine wine and timely served food. We cannot wait for our next visit here!! Worth every penny spent!!!
Came in as a weary traveller looking to relax and unwind with a lighter meal. I enjoyed a Cobb salad and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, the waitress was very polite and took great care of me. Would definitely visit this restaurant again and recommend to others. The location and atmosphere is great too.
Small space with great service. The food was ok my plate was plated odd and everything was stacked onto the plate in a jumbled mess but it tasted good. The bathrooms felt like they belonged in a different restaurant. It is in a beautiful building so lots of older stone charm to the atmosphere mixed with industrial modern touches

Excellent food and great beer selection. Rick did a great job recommending their number one dish which was fish and chips. Make sure to go there hungry because the portions are huge. Definitely worth the money. We ordered fried pickles for appetizer. We will definitely go back next time we’re in the area. We drive from Michigan to go there.
Super friendly staff, great service, nice atmosphere. Good beer. Food was hyped up to be amazing but it was kind of average and the mashed potatoes under the scotch egg were cold. Hope to give it another try sometime.
Service was friendly and has a home pub welcoming vibe! The food portion was very generous, staff is very knowledgeable on Whiskey (duh!) with a very good selection as well. Would love to return if we come back to this area for visit. We visited on a weekday, so it was easy to find street parking but not sure how weekend would be.

Giovanni's is a fantastic Italian restaurant and is worth the visit over anything else in the area for good comfort food. Everything I ate was delicious and I have to give a shoutout to the homemade cheesecake selection. I had a cinnamon bun cheesecake which was the perfect ending to a great meal. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back!
Friendly servers, well run for such a busy place. We didn't wait too long for our meals. The Arancini was very, very good, the calamari was average- cooked well, just not a lot of flavor. The pasta and pizza were good!
OMG! This restaurant is simply amazing. The food service was a 10+ I ordered shrimp mussels pasta with angel hair pasta OMG! So good. This is a definitely a restaurant you must try. Thank you for a great meal.

Great pizza place and Italian restaurant on Great North Rd (17N) right by all the major big box stores in the Soo. Highly recommend the pizza!
This place is seriously amazing amazing! Next best thing to being in Italy, food was so good and authentic. Family owned with homemade / recipes from scratch. Got seated right away, busy little spot. A must try if you’re in SSM!
In my opinion the best restaurant in Sault Ste Marie. We went twice and the experience was great. Beautiful place, you can eat outside. The attention is really good and fast. The dishes were delicious, well made pasta and pizza. Amazing flavors, you would love it.

Quirky pork-forward restaurant with an interesting menu backed up by local ingredients, cooked perfectly, and presented well. My waffle was crisp and hot, covered in caramelized banana and whipped cream, and accompanied with maple syrup and a dollop of nutty brown butter. And very tasty pea meal ham straight from the flattop. It was delicious, and the service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Recommended...a lot.
The restaurant is at the corner of the street/intersection. The parking lot is in the back (up to around 10 cars). The restaurant has a pig theme on the inside, lots of pig themed decorations. The restaurant is also on the small size. It was also very full and very busy during breakfast hours. We ordered the Benny Poutine ($17), the Caramel Apple Pie Crepe ($15), the Triple S Crepe ($18), the Notorious PIG ($20), two coffees ($3 each), and water. The Benny Poutine was really tasty. It came with 2 poached eggs, hollandaise sauce slathered on top of the home fries with cheese. At times there were pockets of salt which was quite the surprise to choke on. The bowl was bigger than expected and also somewhat deep. The Caramel Apple Pie Crepe was better than expected. Not too sweet and light. Very delicious as well. Was pretty good and was very large and long. The Triple S Crepe was a sweet, salty and spicy crepe. It looked rather small, but it was filled to the brim with filling on the inside. The meat was pretty salty. The Notorious PIG was under the Eggs Benedict menu. It came with 2 poached eggs on top of 2 Korean pulled pork sandwiches, with home fries on the side. The pulled pork was soft and delicious. The eggs were a bit too runny/raw for my mom. As a family, we shared our plates of food. My mom found that a lot of the food we got was too salty and greasy for her. We all agreed that the Caramel Apple Pie Crepe was very good, just that my mom didn't like the 3 dallops of whipped cream on top of the sweet crepe. The water is cold tap water. The coffee was watered down coffee. The table has salt and pepper, as well as a ketchup bottle. There were also 10% cream and 2% skim milk tiny containers as well as sugar that was very lightly sweet. The online menu is out of date, a few dollars cheaper than the current menu in-person. The washroom was small and tight. Was kind of hard to squeeze on by the washroom stall door. Also the washroom smelled bad. Overall, the food was good, albeit a little bit too much salt and grease. The coffee was bad, very watered down and the sugar wasn't really sweet. The service was good, I guess. The servers came to check up on us and refill our watered down coffee with more watered down coffee. Pros: Food was tasty. Cons: Food was a bit too salty and greasy. Coffee was too watered down. Sugar wasn't sweet. Parking lot is very small.
I am posting this just for the servers to learn. We came in from out of town staying in a hotel. So we require breakfast. This place was highly recommended so we went. I asked the server what she recommends and her comment was everything. She wouldn’t make suggestions or help guide. I asked out some dishes and asked if spicy and she said yes those are spicy so I picked the Mac and cheese with pork. It came 30 + mins later I took a bite and OMG! So spicy. My husband tasted it and he agreed that was very spicy. The server said that is the bbq sauce. Like I should have known that. I was annoyed for I asked about spice. The server was not pleasant for I told her to take it back I cannot eat it. I reordered a breakfast poutine /fries with eggs. I said no hollandaise sauce instead do the cheese sauce. Waited another 30 mins. Everyone else was finished eating their meals now. When my dish came it had both hollandaise and cheese poured all over. I said right away NOPE TAKE IT THIS IS WRONG. I said I’m done I want the bill and left. I know mistakes happen but no apology from the server I left no breakfast no food We got our bill the 2 dishes that were wrong were deducted. My daughter and I ordered each a mamosa the pink grapefruit was amazing.

This family run place offers outstanding food and exceptional customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of food options, and they also offer a dinner buffet. I tried the Philly Steak Sandwich and Chicken Piccata, which comes with a choice of pasta or potato, and salad or soup. The flavors were excellent; the chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy and just right. They also serve complimentary home-baked bread and butter. The sweetest things was receiving a candy after the meal. There’s ample seating, though you might experience a short wait during peak hours. I highly recommend this spot when you're in the city.
Ayako was very personal and made our visit so pleasant and enjoyable! We ordered butter tarts and coffee and found the tarts to bring perfect memories of grandma McMullen’s homemade recipe. Crust was flakey and thin, with a perfect level of sweet filling (minus raisins). Music was low enough to not interfere with hearing aids-really appreciate that!! Highly recommend this clean and bright restaurant!
Here’s my experience from the moment I stepped in :- 1. Step in, and I was greeted by the older caucasian lady who asks me if I’m picking up an order ? A bit presumptuous that all Indians are delivery drivers, but it’s alright. 2. I was there for the buffet but that’s only on Thursday-Sunday, so I asked if I could see the menu beforehand. I do this because it saves the restaurant extra effort to clean my table for the next person, if I’m just going to see the menu and not order anything. Usually all health departments say that restaurants should be cleaning tables for the next person even if someone has not ordered anything. I thought I was being nice by asking for the menu beforehand. . apparently not . Also, it wasn’t busy so I wasn’t holding up anyone. So, I see the menu and decide and I want to dine in. The same lady asks me if I want to dine in, or leave. I say and I want to dine in, and she walks away with the menu. I was still not seated even though there’s a sign there saying, please wait to be seated. 3. I HAD to ASK the other asian server for a seat and get seated. She was nice and helpful, and suggested some of the crowd favourites over there. I had to try the baked lasagna, so I did and it did not disappoint. They have a special sauce prepared in-house and that enhanced the lasagna’s taste. 4. Finished my food and asked the asian server about the buffet. Left the place with a smile on my face, and left a 25% tip. Overall, a cozy family run place. Don’t let this review deter you from trying the place, just hope you don’t run into the first server . To the older lady server, I just want to say that. . Customer service is not a one size fits all, and what u think works for you doesn’t work for everyone. So please learn to be polite and respectful to all

This is a pure american resturents, The burger was super good. If somebody likes burger, this probably the place. I tried poutin as well, it was bit salty for me (indian food test bud). The enviroment is good. Service was good too. Has a lot of free parking.
Great food! We found The Burger Don through a quick Google search after our Agawa Canyon Train Tour. It was a Saturday evening so they were quite busy but we were seated after a 20-30 minute wait. The food was definitely worth the wait! Our waiter was very kind and enthusiastic. The burgers were amazing but I really loved the onion rings! Our food came quite quickly upon ordering so that was great as well.
Great burgers served up in an upscale, small town atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Soo. Try the Jalapeno Jack burger!

Absolutely Devine. I went in right at open and they treated us with beautiful cocktails, engaging staff and made us feel very welcome. My family and I came back in the evening, 20 of us, and again welcomed from so many familiar staff and culinary faces. The beef tartar was DELICIOUS. And meeting and chatting with Chef Matt and his team was awesome. We will all be back, wishing you all the best and see you soon. Michael
We found this restaurant by accident when walking down Queen Street - best find ever. We had friendly, prompt service, and we sat at the bar close to the kitchen to catch all the action. We ordered some of their specialty drinks which were made to perfection, followed by some of the best shucked oysters I have had east of Vancouver. Watching the care and detail of the sous-chef in shucking each oyster was inspiring. If you are in Sault Ste. Marie, I would highly recommend making this a destination. ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Great and interesting food, friendly service, neat atmosphere. Only minor complaint is that it's very expensive. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting from out of town or looking for a more upscale dinner date idea. I hope to return to try more next time I'm in town.

Where do i start … everything was perfect and so was our server Mia . We had been wanting to try this place since we moved here two months ago. This is a gem the atmosphere very nice and service was top notch and on point . The food was unreal i can’t say enough about this place we were very pleased . If i could eat here everyday i would . Mia made it even better she was very nice and chatted with us and accommodated us every way . Huge thumbs up for this place and i have already been telling everyone . Best mussels with tomato broth so good and we had the scallop with bacon oh my unbelievable. my friend had the kangaroo he absolutely loved it . Myself i had the salmon and i have to say the biggest piece and the best tasting salmon it was candied on both sides i could eat it all the time . My hubby had the steak and mushrooms on the side just perfect . Thank you Mia and Ember on the Ridge staff .
Went in for dinner, party of 4. Had a reservation. Appetizers and entree were good quality, however the cocktails were not prepared well and the service was slow and horrible, especially regarding drink service. After 20 minutes we had to go up to the bar multiple times, and it was not busy whatsoever. I have had much better service and meals at Arturos and North 82. I had not been to embers in several years and am disappointed.
First time there would go back food was awesome are prices fair beer was cold staff are friendly service was great

It was a great dining experience: my friend and I sat for three hours and savored our way through the menu from appetizer to dessert. We had no issue finding parking as there are spaces on the property and street parking as well. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is amazing; not to mention the great service! The chef and owner even came out to greet us and I thought that was just wonderful! Many thanks to Lindsay (or Lindsey maybe) for her wonderful demeanor and hospitality. I had : cheeseballs ( in tomato and basil sauce I believe) followed by Veal Saltimbocca and sealed off with Tiramisu. My friend had: arincini followed by a Greek salad with Tiramisu for dessert. Neither of us drink alcohol so we opted for tea and iced tea. It was a great way to spend the evening, highly recommend! 15/10 :)
Antico is a local favorite and has always been a go to for any friends and family visiting from out of town. The dishes all are refined and full of flavour. The appetizers stand out the most, the shrimp putanesca and the blackened scallops are truly delicious. The deserts never disappoint either, the tiramisu and my personal favorite the limoncello cake. This restaurant really feels like the chef has made it his own. You really get a personal experience here, as Chef Arturo takes time (when possible) to talk with guests and make sure they enjoy their meal.
Enjoyed a family dinner...service was outstanding, food was superb, the wine was delicious! Some of us weren't dressed as we'd normally be for a restaurant of this caliber...no problems at all. A friendly hello from the owner/chef was much appreciated.

Visited on a Thursday and lucked into Chummy’s famous fish fry. The pickerel was delicious: tender, lightly battered and served in massive portions. I took two of the four fillets home for later, but managed to finish the tasty thick-cut fries. The place was packed at around 6pm. It took a while to get seated but the vibe was warm and humming with conversation. Glad to see this Batchewana First Nation restaurant thriving. Best food I’ve had in Sault Ste. Marie so far.
Food was great, prices were fantastic, but there was an hour wait between ordering food and receiving it. All we had ordered was basic breakfast for two people. We ended up drinking 4-5 cups of coffee each while waiting.
Definitely a hidden gem. Staff were friendly and really seemed to enjoy being there. Had the Mushroom/Swiss burger and Chief burger (which was huge) and fries. Everything was delicious, big servings, good gravy. Will stop in on our return trip. Incredible carvings throughout the restaurant.

We, a group of 7 out-of-towners who had just rolled into town after an 8 hour drive happened to stumble upon this restaurant on Sept 15. We did not have a reservation, and Tom the owner, offered us bar seating. If we were ok with it. We were glad to take that offer, and were not disappointed. Tom looked after us from start to finish, and went out of his way to make us our personal cocktails based on our preferences! Even showed us the longest pepper mill he had :) Amazing food and most of all awesome service! Thank you for taking care of us Tom!
The food was delicious and the portions were quite large. It seems like everyone was taking leftovers to go!
An unexpected elegant twist - absolutely do not judge a book by its cover! (Only reason I rated 4-stars for Atmosphere) A very unassuming and simple exterior in the downtown area. Small but very very good. Making reservations might be a good idea. I travel for business and stumbled across this spot - I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to experience this awesome Italian cuisine! Food all tasted great! Very nice atmosphere.

I’m so glad that I found this place! It wasn’t far from our hotel and the minute we walked in we were welcomed. The food and service were amazing! I would highly recommend this place and if we ever get back there, we would definitely go there again!
In our search for the BEST poutine in town, we ended up being directed here. And it did NOT disappoint! Our first meal in Canada, and my first experience having poutine. The food is made to order, and super fresh. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in answering our many…many questions. Will definitely be on our list of places to come back to when we visit from the USA!
AMAZING food!!!!! Best poutine ever. Squeaky cheese curds. Everything is made in house and tastes so fresh. I will definitely be back!!!
