A new favorite restaurants since moving from Chicago! Service was outstanding and the food fresh and seasoned with perfection!! Beautiful restaurant with a crisp inviting yet intimate ambiance. The seafood plate is a must. Mussels reminded me of a cool refined CA version of a hot spicy Italian dish back on the East Coast. My boyfriend is from Boston and grew up eating fresh seafood at the Cape and he said the seafood tonight reminded him of home, which is a high compliment from him. Cocktails were divine as were the deserts. They were incredibly kind and accommodating with my food allergies. We can’t wait to go back and try and will definitely be bringing family when they visit. Highly recommend!! What a gem :)
Ella Dining Room and Bar truly stands out as a gem in Sacramento’s vibrant dining scene. The ambiance makes for a remarkable dining experience. The food at Ella is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a testament to the chefs, who use only the best quality ingredients. The menu is a thoughtful mix of innovative dishes. But what truly sets Ella apart is the service, particularly from Roxanne, a waitress whose dedication to her guests is incredible. Roxanne's ability to remember not just us, but our children and preferences makes the dining experience. Her demeanor and service make each visit memorable. She engages with us in a way that makes us excited to return. This level of service is rare and appreciated.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE ✨ I JUST brought my mom here this evening in celebration for her birthday. She had a magnificent experience. Both her and my sister had the Grilled Brant Beef Tenderloin and said it was one of, if not the best steak they'd ever had. The Sweet Corn Ricotta Gnocchi was otherworldly. The minute I bit into the pillowy soft pasta it melted in my mouth. Each bite was a flavor explosion. From the tarragon verde to the fresh herbs adorning the dish it continued to make you come back for more. The Truffle Brioche was DIVINE. Thank you to the whole of "Ella Dining Room & Bar" for such an absolutely exceptional experience. Each and every single individual we had the pleasure of speaking with or helping us was genuinely the BEST.

I wasn’t going to write a review until my husband was hit with the most violent food poisoning I’ve ever encountered… don’t worry I’ve added videos for clarification. The best part of this experience was the server and her amazing attitude. Very attentive wait staff. As for the food, it was not what I expected to say the very least. Oysters, good if you like overwhelming onion flavor. Potato gratin, tasted like it was from a box with Parmesan crusted on top. Steak tartare was the most balanced & best thing we had. Steak, so lemon-y and pink I was concerned if it would make my dog sick. Risotto, first time ever trying this and I couldn’t believe they would serve something so awful, it tasted like watery rice mixed with bad seafood. I’m not one to leave horrible reviews like this but after the hell my husband endured after eating at this restaurant, I feel obligated to tell the truth. It’s. Not. Worth. It. (Also, if you have a weak stomach don’t listen to the videos)
Elegant and classy atmosphere as well as friendly and classy hostesses. The food was extremely pleasant, flavorful and filling. The wine selection was fabulous with the servers being very knowledgeable yet fun with the recommendations. A very great place for romance and romantic/special occasions. A little pricey but definitely made my visit special.
The Waterboy is a delightful culinary journey that offers something for every palate. Our table's standout appetizers were the incredibly fresh oysters and a surprisingly vibrant persimmon salad that set a bright tone for the evening. The seafood risotto All'Onda was a unanimous hit, earning praises from multiple diners, while the potato gnocchi performed the near-miraculous feat of converting even the most skeptical Western cuisine critic. The Sonoma liberty duck breast, while delicious, seemed to lack a certain cohesive flavor profile, though this was a minor critique in an otherwise exceptional meal. Whether you're a seafood lover, a pasta enthusiast, or a meat devotee, there's something here that will delight your palate. Thanks to our server, Leah!

Staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Good food great price. Highly recommend reservations small establishment that’s very popular. Had the bacon wrapped meatloaf special, the chicken Borsch , and another chicken dish all very good
We so enjoyed our meal at Trattoria Bohemia! The food was outstanding (potato pancakes and chicken paprikash are a must!), but the service is really what stands out to me. Ruby was an exceptional server!! Shortly after we arrived, the place packed out with groups of people waiting at the door. There were only two servers and service was delayed - the attitudes of the servers made up for any errors. Ruby was kind, upbeat, and unfazed by the chaos. A true pro! Thank you for everything! We’ll be back anytime we are in Sacramento.
Such a great surprise to discover eastern Europe dishes there, such a treat! We loved the schnitzel and the Goulash, it was delicious. The pizza also was amazing. The quantities are very generous for an affordable price. I really recommend a visit when you are around.

Lovely assortment of food from around the world. The Thai curry is very pleasant and has a gentle spice to it. The Thai steak is delightful as well. Sitting outside on a nice day is a must. Being surrounded by nature while eating is so relaxing. The desserts that get sold there are delicious and you can always order them to go. Definitely coming back to try more.
My family and I have wanted to try Tower Cafe for years and we finally made the time to do so. We went on a Monday morning. The outside seating area was so beautiful under the tree. This place is so unique. The menu had so many different items. The service was great. I highly recommend the French toast! It was unbelievable! The rest of our food was pretty good. We will definitely come back.
Some of the best food we’ve had on our road trip and one of the most charming places we’ve been to. A lovely place to spend a warm afternoon. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, but the food was so good that we housed it all anyway. Went for lunch but tempted to go back again for dinner.
Seasons 52 is a fresh dining concept that redefines the restaurant experience by offering a menu inspired by the changing seasons. Committed to providing guests with a vibrant a…
Seasons 52 is a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious – we tried the salmon and lamb, and it was the best decision we could have made. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. We'll definitely be coming back for more next time we are in town.
My brother was turning 52. It’s his birthday and what a better place to celebrate than to come to Seasons 52. My wife was able to make reservations for 7 of us at 6pm no problem for a Saturday (8/24/24) evening. We arrived at 6 and had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The hosts were friendly and hospitable. The dining area is intimate, warm, and welcoming. The interior is well decorated and inviting giving an impression of it being a higher end restaurant. The menu offers a wide selection of wine options including about a dozen variety of cocktails. Options for dinner includes flatbreads, starters, soups and salad, main entrees, and entree accompaniments. Our server was great. He was helpful in answering our questions and taking our order. Our orders for the evening included a variety of items from the menu. Our dinner arrived hot from the kitchen within about 20 minutes from ordering. All the dishes were well put together and looked inviting for a bite. Everything turned out excellent. The fish orders were delicious. Between the Salmon, the Sea Bass, and the Caramelized Grill Sea Scallops, the Sea Bass was the best. The tenderloin salad also turned out very good including my daughter’s flat bread pepperoni pizza. We also got orders of the Korean BBQ Baby Carrots that were okay but not amazing. My son got the Street corn skillet that were much better. For drinks, we ordered wine including the wine flight which gets you 3 x 3 ounces of wine which is a trio from Paso Robles. The wine was also very good. So how did Season 52 do? Service 5/5. Atmosphere 5/5. Food 4.75/5. Drinks (5/5). Value to Price Ratio 4.5/5. Overall Experience 4.75/5. Everything at Seasons 52 was near perfect. The place offers an intimate and very cozy dining experience. It would be an excellent choice to take a family to for dinner or date night for couples. Food options were great and should offer something for just about everyone including kids. Portion size were under whelming however. Don’t expect to walk away with leftovers to take home. For folks with a bigger appetite, you’ll definitely walk away feeling hungry. Prices are on the higher side so do expect to pay a premium for the experience. Most of the main entrees are priced at about $30 on up. Overall we enjoyed our experience here and I think most will too. Nice place with good food. Staff and waitress are helpful and friendly. Really recommend the wood-grilled pork, juicy, soft, with nice wood scent, sided with sweet red onion. Everyone just LOOOVE this dish. The flatbread is good, holds lot stuff yet still crispy. Salad also good. My family said will revisit this place again.

My wife wants me to bring me to this restaurant for awhile and I must say the food is great go check out the food we ate. The bathroom is clean not smelly which is good when we go to restaurant ut has always to be clean. Also when we get there we sat at 4 person table but it's 5 of us.... I had to sit outside the table walkway which is not a good place to sit on. We rather sit on a big table so we can enjoy to sit properly and enjoy our food. Coming back here....? Nope. It's better for party of 2-3 people 4 it's ok 5 or more people just eat somewhere else. Parking if you get lucky to find on the street if not you'll have to pay inside the parking lot and walk a few blocks.
Came in for happy hour. Blackberry margs were good, but they are served in the worst pitchers. Pretty sure a third of every pitcher ended up on the table, on the floor, or on someone. Happy hour tacos were like mini tacos and much smaller than the regular tacos (which my companions got), but tasted good. Recommend the guac and chips.
Love this resto, I went here because of a friend's recommendation and it didn't let me down. The food is amazing, the service is excellent and the price is reasonable. I like the blackberry margarita and their cilantro lime rice. The dips are amazing too, the black bean dip is a nice twist on their chips. It's kinda hard to get a parking though since it's downtown Sacramento.

The environment is dark but has the downtown and sports vibe. Great place for drinks and to watch a game. Dining isn't all that bad either. The appetizers are on the more extreme side of New American Dishes, but they had classics for main courses and dinners. I ordered the 8oz. fillet mignon dinner that came with rich creamy mashed potatoes and buttery neatly cooked vegetables. Overal the dinner was expensive but delicious so for those reasons i rate it a 7.6/10. Service was amazing.
The food is good, the prices are a bit high, but if you go during Happy Hour, I would say it’s worth it. The prices are half off selected appetizers and entrees. There are of course drink specials too. The Brussels sprouts are so delicious the sauces are amazing. The chicken nachos were okay, not really the best I’ve had. The sliders were good, they have a “special sauce” already inside. The chicken tenders were very crispy and very hot in temperature as were the sliders! The pizza was okay, the tomatoes kept rolling off and the mozzarella was placed in the middle so it was middle heavy making the pizza fall apart when picked up by the crust. The tomato bisque was delicious and the complimentary brookie was very good too! Plenty of parking in the garage, $8/hour without validation. Service is decent, it’s a bit dark inside but that’s the atmosphere.
I recently visited this restaurant for a Sunday football game, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience overall. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. I ordered the lunch portion of jambalaya, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had—an impressive feat considering I travel extensively and have dined at thousands of establishments. My jambalaya was a delightful blend of shrimp, sausage, and baby crawfish, all enveloped in an exquisite sauce that struck the perfect balance. It had just the right amount of spice—enough to tantalize the taste buds without overwhelming them. Accompanied by perfectly seasoned spicy rice, it was a dish I won’t soon forget. My husband opted for the lime chicken with pineapple, and he was equally impressed by the flavors. We also indulged in their alcoholic beverages, which were skillfully crafted and didn’t disappoint. The only drawback of our visit was related to the game coverage. We had requested to be seated where the Packers game was playing, but unfortunately, we were placed at a table where that game wasn’t available. To our surprise, multiple screens were showing the same game, which was a bit puzzling. Despite this minor hiccup, our overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend this restaurant for both its exceptional food and vibrant atmosphere!

I came here from a recommendation of a friend and did not expect British/ UK style meal! I think this is a wonderful spot for coffee and bread as they had a lot of options although no gluten free ones from our time there. My breakfast was a new taste for sure as I never had it before coming here, but the service was attentive despite the busy Saturday morning rush. The good was well seasoned and simple for what it was. It is a decent meal but not very surprising or extraordinary. I will say the place is great atmosphere for mimosas, and has a wonderful setting
Oct 2024 We arrived in Sacramento very early in the morning on Sunday, and this was one of the few places open at 7am. We chose to sit outside on the patio, where there were several 4 person tables. Be warned the seats face east and west, so one side may get a blast of sunlight in the face depending on the weather and time of day. The service was good, all the people were friendly and awake (very important for the early hour). They were attentive and walked by often even though we were outside. I was a bit surprised that our server didn't charge us a split plate fee. But maybe that's only if you order less entrees than the party had members? We ordered 3 dishes and split them between the 2 of us. The food was mostly decent. The quiche was very disappointing, with a hard, very charred crust. The fruit we got as sides were very good, fresh and yummy. It consisted of banana, grape, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, and apple. The mini scones were absolutely amazing . Soft, chewy, and berry delicious. I highly recommend. The bathrooms were in the back, on the other side of the bar from the entrance. They have men/women bathrooms with 3 stalls. The stalls are very large and have their own, actual, full coverage doors. Almost like 3 private bathrooms, but the sinks are in the communal area. Overall, good service but average food. I would only come back for the scones.
I had a wonderful experience at this charming English-style pub! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, making for a very enjoyable visit. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. The mimosas were a highlight—they offer a variety of unique flavors that were refreshing and fun to try. The Devonshire cream was absolutely divine, a true standout. My only minor critique was the English sausage, which had a strong rosemary flavor. However, I'm not the biggest fan of rosemary, so that might just be a personal preference. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll be back for sure!

This place is definitely the most exquisite dining that I’ve ever experienced. The food was perfect. The blend of seasoning was amazingly delicious. A perfect balance of flavor and not to overwhelming that is naturally delicious. The employees are extremely pleasant and friendly. Our Server was Amanda, she was was extremely friendly and informed about the menu, as well as the deep history of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an exquisite meal with superb cuisine with a pleasant environment in a historical atmosphere.
Had dinner Sept. 18th. See receipt What a fantastic dinner! After a terrible wait and no service at the hotel restaurant we were staying at we decided to turn the night around and snagged a reservation at this beautiful restaurant! My man and I had the best steaks ever! First of all this is a very classy restaurant with fully staffed and knowledgeable employees. We lucked out having SABRINA wait on us! She was warm and delightful and helped guide us with all the choices on the menu. I ordered the New York Steak..perfectly cooked, and it had a sear around the edges that I love! The other dish was the bison Steak which Bry liked as well. Love the fingerling potatoes on my dish! Extensive wine and cocktails available. I had a rich Cab and my man had the pig(whiskey cocktail). Both top notch. Dessert was this creamy chocolate "bar" which was to die for! It's a bit expensive, but it is TOTALLY worth it because the quality of the food and cocktails is exactly the price point I would expect. They have a full bar and offer both bar seating or seating in the dining area. They were packed at 630 pm (weekday) so make sure you make a reservation. Thank you Sabrina and staff for a memorable and delightful dinner! Now on my top favs for dinner! Ps. They have happy hour as well as valet.
Had a wonderful dining experience here recently. Yes expensive but no complaints. Staff was fantastic. Food was outstanding. Loved it.

Hey Team Grange, I just had to share my incredible experience at your restaurant! On Saturday, November 23rd, I arrived 30 minutes early for my 7:00 pm dinner reservation, and from that moment on, everything was pure perfection. Your host greeted me with warmth and care, letting me know that my table was close to the kitchen - where my daughter Mica works! It was wonderful to see her in action, doing what she loves. As a parent, it filled my heart with pride! The food? Absolutely divine! Each dish was expertly plated and served with precision. The quality was truly Michelin-star worthy! Your staff was personable, warm, and professional, making me feel like a VIP. That personal touch made my experience truly unforgettable. I'm beyond proud to know that my daughter is part of such an exceptional team. Thank you again for an incredible evening!
What a wonderful find. In the Hotel Citizen near the capital is a wonderful Bar and Grill. A delightful place with great service and food. A select menu for any diet. The hamburger was wonderful and the salad was plentiful. This was a business trip and well worth the two hour drive.
Great upscale restaurant! We came for happy hour from 3-6pm before seeing a show at Crest theatre. The burger is $22 and fantastic. I had the cheese plate which could've used more jelly. Martinis were $16.

Really good place to go with friends on a Sunday morning. My girls and I enjoyed the brunch menu that also included bloody Mary’s and other drinks. It was really really good portion sizes and fresh! Menu is very wide range and lots of TVs and bar space , Definitely going back!
Found a dog friendly spot on a hot day. They had outdoor seating but informed us dogs were allowed inside. I don't know how that's possible seeing as its indoors, but no complaints here as long as we keep our dog from embarrassing ourselves or bothering anyone. The host, bartender, and server were all very friendly. The drink menu is fire, and the food menu outstanding.
First time here, and it was great. A little crowded for 5 pm, but there was a concert at the venue across the street. We were able to get a table right away, which was nice. The food was good, as well as the service for being so busy. The clam chowder was tasty. My steak was a little overcooked for medium rare, but the taste was great. It definitely has a kick, so choose wisely. The fish and chips were very good, and the portion size for both were plentiful. I would highly recommend this place.

We came here for lunch for my mother-in-law’s birthday. The place is really nice. The vibes are really cool and the view is beautiful. The staff was very nice. They decorated for my mother-in-law’s birthday with a cute table set up. A little flower arrangement with a happy birthday sign when we arrived. We sat down and our server came over and took our drink orders, she was very helpful in telling us which ones to order. She also made a custom drink for my mother-in-law. We gave our food order and enjoyed our drinks while waiting. After some time, our food came out. Very underwhelming. We ordered a burger, two salads ,and a pasta dish. The burger was the only one worth the money. The Caesar salad was wilted and brown, very bland, and tasted like a bagged salad. The chicken was tasty though. The Mediterranean Salad was overdressed and bland as well. The “prawns” were just shrimp, but we’re also tasty. The pasta dish was a mess. The sauce was watered down. The green beans were hard, and the noodles were not dressed. Despite all the sauce, this was also bland. The only reason we did not send our dishes back was because we had just driven two hours from the Bay Area and were very hungry. Since it had taken a little while to get the food in the first place, we did not want to risk having to wait any longer to eat and get hangry. We boxed up our plentiful leftovers to give to someone on the street. Our server brought out two chocolate truffles for the birthday girl with a candle, which was very sweet. The service for the lunch menu was the only redeeming quality they were great overall we probably would not come back.
I went to this restaurant recently while visiting the area and I really enjoyed the experience. The highlight of my visit was definitely the wait staff; they were friendly and attentive, and even allowed me to stay after they closed for lunch. I did not feel rushed into eating quickly at all, which I really appreciated. I ordered the House Ground Angus Burger and fries, which were delicious. I also ordered a side of grilled apricots, which were just okay. Nothing exceptional there. But the fries that came with the burger were so good that (for me) they made up for the grilled apricots. Overall, this is a good restaurant with fair pricing (not super expensive, but not cheap either!) and excellent service. I would definitely stop by here again if I was traveling in the area.
Exceptional dining experience at Prelude this evening. Inside, the restaurant has an elevated and modern vibe. The new menu has duck fat seared scallops which are a must try. The scallops were perfectly cooked. The pumpkin puree was a nice contrast, and the spicy pepitas gave the dish the perfect amount of crunch. Finished the meal with the flourless chocolate cake. It wasn’t too sweet, and the sourness from the berries worked well with the slice. Service was quick and efficient as well. I will visit again the next time I’m in Sacramento.

Definitely visiting again for the great cocktails. Honestly I was drunk before the meal came so my judgement could be biased: but the food is also very creative and delicious, especially the chicken drumsticks and the tomato dish. Highly recommended. I changed this review from 5 stars to 3 only because there was a $7.4 “Health and Wellness” charge on top of a $100 per person dinner. Isn’t SB 478 already in effect?? Or the managers really think that customers will be happier paying nonsense fees than a slightly more expensive menu?
Here's the revised review with your added detail: --- My experience at Canon Restaurant was nothing short of amazing. The food was on another level, featuring unique and delicious flavors. The plating was impeccable, with each dish looking like a work of art. We ordered different dishes to share, which worked perfectly for us, allowing us to experience a variety of tastes. The cocktails were elevated to another level, enhancing the overall dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure.
Amazing multi-course meal. Innovative mix of flavors from the fluffy, airy cheese buns, to the purple sweet potatoes with corn salsa, taters with mole sauce, all the way to the peach tart with an incredibly flaky pasty. Very good wine list, too. Lastly, amazing, open air dining room, ringed by olive trees. Could have been in Italy!

We visited this location as the end-cap to a college trip for the USAW conference. We had driven more than eight hours the night prior to visit UC Davis and attend the conference at Woodland Community College. The staff were very diligent and kind, well-dressed and happy. Every single person in our group was fully satisfied with the quality of the food and the deserts, as well as the drink options. We all felt well taken care of and looked after and even had the honor of speaking with the head chef who came out and spoke with us prior to our meal. We would all gladly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a high quality and fairly priced dining experience. The wine menu is also excellent.
Il Fornaio delivers an authentic Italian dining experience. The pasta was perfectly cooked and rich in flavor, while the bruschetta was fresh and full of bright, classic Italian ingredients. The restaurant had a warm ambiance that complemented the meal, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend for a taste of Italy.
Absolutely loved the setting. The food was amazing and service by Matthew was great! Thank you for a relaxing and tasty meal. Hand made pasta is always a plus and makes these dishes everything! So yummy. Thank you!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Localis in Sacramento, and it was an incredible evening. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed and knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is both sophisticated and inviting, making it perfect for such a special occasion. Chef/owner Chris has truly created a culinary masterpiece with Localis. Every dish we had was a delightful experience, showcasing his creativity and passion for fine dining. The flavors were exceptional, and the presentation was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience even further. It's clear that Localis is a labor of love, and it reflects in every detail. We can't wait to go back and enjoy another unforgettable meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best dining experience in Sacramento!
Incredible experience that we can’t wait to repeat. The food was un-pretentious, delicious, and beautifully presented. The beverage pairings were perfect! Highly recommend the non-alcoholic pairing too since each one was so unique and went beautifully with all the courses. Their menu changes every 5 weeks which is partially a bummer only because we have favorites we want to get again, but also fantastic since it will give us new things to try. Everyone was very nice and fun to talk to - Ashley, Zach, and Justin were awesome. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Localis. See you guys next month!
This was my second time here. I decided to treat myself for my 50th birthday, and a beautiful lady chanced into my life a couple weeks before my reservation. They were able to squeeze her into. Last year had been the single best meal I'd ever had. That's now been outdone. I'm sure the company helped, as did the Lord of the Rings theme, Every detail was perfection, and lovingly and thoughtfully crafted. Chris and his team do an incredible job, without it ever feeling pretentious. Hopefully I'll be back, but this one will be very hard to beat!

On our way back from South lake Tahoe, we picked this spot in Sacramento for a quick lunch break before heading to the bay area. It was a large group with a mix of adults and kids. The restaurant was quite empty (probably because of the time we got there) and they got us situated quickly. To get the kids busy, they even handed out coloring pages and pencils. Their menu while not very extensive has a good mix of options for vegetarians and a solid variety to choose from. Their carrot salad and heirloom tomato sandwich were really good. The kids enjoyed butter and red sauce pasta, along with cheese pizza and tater tots. Overall, it was a great experience combined with a clean environment and amazing service. Highly recommend people to try this spot!
I met up with a group of colleagues here for dinner on a Tuesday (5/7/24) evening. We made reservations ahead of time and had no issues doing so. Parking can be challenging with 1 hour meters in the surrounding area. There are free 2 hour street parking available if walking is not a concern. The H&L restaurant decor is laid back and inviting both inside and out. There’s seating in the front patio as well as the back of the restaraunt. It’s both inviting and relaxing which is pretty cool. Our group of 8 got a table inside and was seated in this VERY interesting horseshoe shaped table that was super wide and quite large. While the design allows a staff worker to easily serve every seated guests around the table, it wasn’t very conducive to guest interaction if they are seated across the table from another. Our server (didn’t get his name) was great. He was super patient with us as we took our time through the evening with ordering from the Happy Hour menu, appetizers, dinner, desserts, and drinks for the evening. Drinks for our group included the La Luchadora, Mister Ed, Smash or Pass, The Santanic Panic, H&L G&T, and several other orders. All the drinks turned out really good. Well assembled cocktails with good ingredients and definitely not from mixers. This is a plus! Food order for the evening included the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Jerk Califlower, Black Cod, Brick Chicken, Pizzas, and several other items. For dessert, we got the Chocolate Budino, Earl Gray Panna Cotta, and Trio of Amaro Cookies. The food and dessert turned out quite good, all very yummy and delicious. My dish (Fried Chicken Sandwich) came with a side of fries although I would’ve substituted with a side salad instead. While the sandwich was tasty, the fries came out soft and dull. The desserts were very good. Both the Budino and Panna Cotta were enjoyable and perfect way to close the evening out. The cost of the dinner came out to be about $75 with tax and tip for each of us, a bit on the higher side for casual dining that included two drinks, dinner, and desserts to share. So how did H&L score? Here are the results: Atmosphere (4/5). Service (4/5). Food (4/5). Desserts (5/5). Drinks (5/5). Value to Price Ratio (3/5). Overall Experience (4/5). H&L is a pretty neat place to grab a bite to eat. The climate is relaxing, laid back, and makes for a great place to have an enjoyable meal with good company. Be wary of the horseshoe table if closer seating amongst your group is important to you. H&L has something for everyone and is friendly to vegetarians and vegans. Drinks are authentic and made with genuine ingredients and not from mixers. Expect to pay a higher premium for the overall experience however for this casual dining experience. Parking can be a challenge especially if you plan to stay longer than 2 hours. Maybe consider taking an Uber but that would add to your cost for the evening. I would definitely return to try out some of the items on the menu. If you have this review helpful in your dining choices, please give the thumbs up or heart emoji button a tap below.

One of the most unique dining experiences I have had. Chef Gio, among putting out some truly phenomenal food, truly did achieve feeling like you’re at home. There were times when I was asked if I wanted any additional food or drink, I forgot I was dining at a Michelin star restaurant, let alone I had to pay for it — I really got sucked in. It’s so unique to be able to interact with all the staff and even ask for seconds, or thirds!
I'll skip the long review because there are enough of them already. It's simply better to experience it for yourself. I'll say that this is a full-on dining extravaganza unlike any other I have had. There is only one seating for everyone at the same time and plentiful food, wine, and exploration throughout the night. They earned and deserve the Michelin Star. For those wondering about the dollars, expect to spend at least $250 per person, $400 to $500 if you want good wine/drink pairings, and thousands if you want to indulge in everything. Reservations need to be made well in advance.
All hits, never a miss!! Everything is amazing. This is a true dining experience unlike any other!! Carefully planned and well executed menu from start to finish. The service is top tier!! Each appetizer, entree, and dessert is freshly prepared with the freshest ingredients. 5 star experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended!! The Mocktail pairing is perfect!

California Fish Grill is one of the restaurants I like the most. They have food I feel healthy to eat, and they're delicious and reasonably priced. The cashiers are very friendly, and the self-service order kiosks are convenient and easy to understand. I like both of their indoor and outdoor dining areas. They're clean and comfortable.
Just popped in to have a quick late lunch bite to eat with my daughter. Food was all fresh and tasty. I got my food a la carte. I'm not a big fan of ordering my food via kiosk but, hey! It's the world we live in !!! My food and my daughter food was good. 1st time I tried their coconut shrimp. They're a little too heavy on the black sesame seeds. Beware if you have dioticulitis... Fish was cooked perfectly. Crispy but not too crunchy, just the right amount of batter and delicious. Not sure if I spelled that correctly. They have fancy teas with hibiscus and my daughter loves their vanilla cream sodas. I also got some sides to go and had some delicious Brussel sprouts later that evening.
Went here for lunch as we both love seafood. It was really good, hot, plenty of food. It is a order at ipad type of register. Lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We will be back. Glad we found this place.

I really liked this place but it sucks that all the good meats are in the premium section which was quite expensive. The service for the most part was good and really nice interior. If it wasn’t 50 dollars per person I would give this place 5 stars, but we were able to get 4 ribeye steaks that made up for it. Also, I don’t know if this is just a personal thing for me but the shrimp was terrible! Everything else was good though and the pancake dessert was amazing!
We went for a fun 4th of July dinner at Gen and it was nice and quiet because it was the holiday. We were happy there was no wait to get in and it wasn’t that busy. We were seated immediately, service took a little time getting to us, and that was surprising being that there were only about 3 other tables filled at the time in the entire restaurant. Then when as we placed our orders throughout dinner at least 5 out of the 16 items were requested weren’t available. Our fave item was out which was a bummer. Our server was pleasant and provided fairly good service although being such a quiet night I feel maybe he could’ve been a little more attentive. It’s always fun choosing different items and cooking at our table so overall we still had a nice evening. This is just my own preference but I feel once a year is probably enough for me to frequent.
This is our second time back after like a year or so. The food was good as expected, but the flavor, sides, and portions are lacking a bit compared to other places. Had some amazing service, though! Our waiter recommended the alcoholic pouch drinks. My wife and I shared a mango one, it was delicious. So yeah, go try them out.

My favorite bkst place. Meals are so hearty and huge servings. Service is spectacular always have my coffee poured with a smile
The Pricing to Size ratio is great, But the quality and taste of the food to the pricing is off. I got chicken fried steak with hash browns and scrambled eggs with 2 biscuits. Again the portioning was great size but there wasnt a single bit of seasoning in anything. this is fine for the eggs and hash browns we can add our own salt and pepper, but the fried-steak was just poor quality beef taste and breading that was almost burnt tasting. The biscuits i got i was excited for but when trying one it was rather stale and dry like it wasn't even kept in a sealed bag or cabinet to be kept fresh. The gravy tasted like country gravy but like the actual packets you buy from the store and mix with water. Over all not worth the 21.74$ it costed. Had i picked something other than the steak, or had come at a different time it might have been better experience for me. i saw many other happy guest eating things like avocado toast so its got some good food they cant really mess up on.
When I’m in Sacramento and looking for a quick and delicious breakfast, Black Bear Diner is the way to go. The service has always been quick and efficient. My go to is the Bruce’s Meat Lovers Omelette.
