Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Richlands – 2024

My husband and I have been twice since the opening and the food is so good, it's what our little town needed. We went on on Tuesday evening to dine in and it was super busy. Seated right away but took a little while to get our food....but completely understandable with how packed the restaurant was. We also did take out and the portions we enough to have left over the next day. We will definitely be back

Walk into a different world when entering this restaurant! The service was excellent! Peyton is who you ask for when dining in... she didn't miss a beat!! Tried the Gyoza fried dumplings, which were tasty. The Hibachi tofu was delicious. See pic. We also had Chicken Tonkatzu with sauce on the side- could use a bit more flavor. This dish came with a strong, bold flavored soup and (what I thought) was a great salad. Maybe a bit busy tonight; will be back to try the sushi

I Love the V&V.. Because most of the food I've gotten over the last 4 years was decent and edible.. But today Oct 8 at lunch time hardly any staff, The Buffet was the worst I've ever had! The whole buffet was all dried out like it was from yesterday.. Come on guys when a person spends$56 for 3 people at a buffet at least it ought to be fresh.. The chicken was the unwanted parts.. Thighs, legs and winds dried out and hard.. Old BBQ.. And everything else was the same how do you muck up canned green beans and instant potatoes ? Honestly I hate even putting up this review but you guys need to tighten up. My stomach rumbled all the way home and had diarrhea.. Also our lunch was $56 .. The buffet was $12.99 x 3= $39 was it $17 for 3 teas? Or y'all are clipping tickets!

6oz hambuger steak was not even as big as a piece of a hamburger.... Forget the steak part!! 25$ for 2 dinners. Hb steak and potatoes ( and the mashed potatoes taste like badly made instant potatoes) and small slaw sounds good right? Hb steak was embarrassingly small to be called a steak of any kind!

Wow, we went for our lunch break being 2 hours from our homes. And this place was awesome. We all had the bar, and when we finished, we were ready for a nap. Great prices for great food. Her "banana pudding" was awesome. More like peanut butter pudding.....

Our son goes to college in the area, so we've now made our second stop through here. Chicken fried steak is great, crisp and crunchy exterior seasoned nicely, juicy on the inside, nice gravy. Mac and cheese is good, so are the mashed potatoes. Wings are good flavor, but if you like them crispy say so up front because they don't come that way normally. Dumplings in the chicken and Dumplings were nice, but the dish as a whole was a little underseasoned. Good spot to stop, and I'm a sucker for anyone that serves breakfast all day.

Stopped here on our way through Richlands. Reba was great, and suggested great menu items. I got the bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries and everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted great. Didn’t have room for dessert but will definitely be back!

Went to the Richlands Freedom Festival and decided to stop at the Railroad Depot for a burger and fries and a pitcher of beer. Our server Miranda could not have been nicer and there was no wait time from the time we ordered till the time our order came. The prices are reasonable. The place is huge with a dinning room and a bar with pool tables and an area where live bands perform. The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It’s really a great place to go here in Richlands Virginia.

Service was ok, it took a ridiculous amount of time to get my sandwich and when it was finally brought to me it looked like a pile of dog food on bread. I was greatly displeased with the quality of the food considering they raised their prices.

First time eating here and definitely will go back.. The caprese grilled cheese and cheesecake salad are yummy. Very clean and nicely decorated. Everyone was so kind making my first time even more enjoyable.

One particular staff member is quite rude and snippy for no reason. After waiting over 20 minutes for a sandwich which already had a replacement bread she walks into the door And says it will be even longer because she had to go to the store. The only missing thing mentioned was the bread which was taken care of. She then proceeded to talk down to me and and the excuse was that they opened at 9 and are not a fast food place despite it being 11 o'clock. Prepping your restaurant before opening is step one of running a restaurant. There were 0 customers while I was there.

So, let's get the excuses out of the way 1st: we showed up on a Saturday night, 6:30PM. There were 4 of us, and we sat ourselves at an open table (as was written on the hostess sign). The restaurant was NOT busy, there were only 5 other tables seated. (I had more than enough time to count.) After 10 minutes, we walked to the register and asked for a menu, there was then a debate between the young lady and another about who's table we were gonna be, and not as in a debate on let's make it fair for everyone, it was basically nobody wanted to wait another table. We took our cue from that vibe and just left. Couldn't tell you anything about the food, and won't be able to, as there's no need to ever return here.

Food was good, didn't have to wait long and the waitress was nice.

We really enjoy taking the family out to eat at Roma’s! The food is always fresh and delicious, and Becky is usually our waitress. She is always so friendly and attentive, and makes sure that we are all happy with our food!

Red Flower is the best place that I enjoy having if I am looking for some wonderful Chinese food! They have always been my favorite place to get delicious Chinese & also you get good quantity portions!

Just 10 minutes from my home is the Red Flower located in Downtown Richlands Va. It’s a great Chinese restaurant with great food. They have reopened the dinning room, but I always get takeout. The service is fast and the food delicious. I order once every month which consists of Wonton, pork egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, beef Lo Mein, or pepper steak. But the variety of menu items are huge. The prices seem high but the amount of food you get feeds two which means the prices are very reasonable. If your looking for good Chinese food this is the place your looking for

We were so excited to try this place and so dissapointed. My daughter couldn't eat her sweet and sour chicken or the crab Rangoon. I had shrimp in lobster sauce and it wasn't even a sauce, more of a disgusting broth. They didn't even give us a fortune cookie.

Busy time lunch but service was very good. Four of us and all our dishes came out separately by ticket number requiring 4 or 5 trips to pick up counter. Pasta dishes were good, eggplant was tasty and a small Stromboli was not small but 1/2 a pizza box. Very good though. Space was clean and kitchen and serving areas were plain but nice. Salads were fresh, dressing good too.

Food was plentiful and priced very good. Kind of cafeteria atmosphere but great service.

Friendly staff, large menu, good prices. Ice cream was great, Stromboli had too much cheese. No complaints though.

My wife and I visited here a few years ago and we just had to come back this time. Now that we have moved to Virginia. We brought our family and we had an excellent time. The waitress took care of us. She made sure that our drinks were constantly filled. Our food was delicious and we had a good time. Just visiting and eating and enjoying fellowship with each other. Anything that we asked for the waitress took care of and we ended up taking care of the waitress as well.

Great breakfast spot. My son is going to the college in the area now, and I'm glad to have a spot where I can get a good breakfast. This was the first time I was surprised by Virginia's insane meals tax, which I'd never heard of. Breakfast selections were plentiful and tasty. Service was top notch.

We ordered a sampler basket and the MVP. All the appetizers were cooked to perfection. The MVP was exceptional. The waitress went above and beyond to take care of all 7 of us. The coffee was hot and brewed just right. Restrooms were clean and easily accessible. Best place to eat in town.

If you want a better review may I suggest actually taking the order of your customers this happened to me yesterday I typically go there every morning but yesterday was special I guess I pull up to the drive-thru it wasn't really all that busy I sat there for 15 minutes no one ever came over the speaker I even said hello a couple times nothing so I decided to go in when I went inside the manager took the order of a lady standing in front of me but after she was done with her she just ignored that I even was standing there and I stood there for another 5 to 6 minutes before another employee came in to work her shift clocked in manager having a nice little conversation with her while I'm still standing there waiting to place an order and finally the employee that finally came in then decided to take my order it's kind of sad that a loyal customer has to wait almost 40 minutes before they can even place an order when it's practically almost dead Y'all really need to do better

Your morning person taking orders was very rude acted as if I was bothering her by asking questions or even taking my order !! What happened to being friendly and good customer service . Your little black headed girl at the window never said thank you nor did she crack a smile . I know times are hard and it’s very hard to find good help but you need to train or hire people that at least know how to be nice smile and say thank you

Well, the drink area was filthy, the girl taking our order was friendly, but if you're hungry don't eat here. I got a 3 piece tenders combo. The chicken tenders were more like popcorn chicken. Very unsatisfied.

The food has become much better. I’ve heard and seen some things though. I don’t think the employees get treated well. The place is clean and food is usually good either way no issues.

Love the food, but recent inconsistencies are driving me away. Ordered delivery twice in the last couple of weeks. It took over an hour and the pizza was lukewarm. Second time, it took over an hour once again and multiple garlic butters were missing. Prior to Giovanni’s, the owner has zero experience in the restaurant industry. He’s turned the establishment around back into being as good as it was in the 1990s, but a substantial amount of complaints regarding his abysmal treatment of employees has soured many on Giovanni’s, and it has likely led to even higher turnover than what is already typical in restaurants. The owner can be generous and benevolent, factually so, but you can’t constantly belittle nor misbehave towards your employees and expect to foster a good working environment and yield great food on a consistent basis that way. I’m gonna take a lengthy break from ordering as it’s been underwhelming.

The pizza is delicious. It's clear that they take great pride in the quality of their food. I want to really brag on Rusty Hess for delivering the pizza, the fact that the owner took the time to personally ensure that my order was delivered promptly and with care speaks volumes about Giovanni's commitment to customer satisfaction. It's not every day that someone in his position would go out of their way to help the way he does, it just show's his commitment to our community and this business.

One of the only places around that offers fish. San Jose for lunch. Tasty food. Nice service

The NEW place looks great, food was fantastic just like I thought it would be. Very well put together. Great food is all I can say.

Building was a little weird to find and parking was awkward, but it was so worth it! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was on par.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Serious Aftereffects We recently visited El Burrito Loco as a party of eight, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. While the service and atmosphere were passable—average at best—the food was a major letdown. The flavors were bland, the ingredients didn’t taste fresh, and overall, the dishes lacked any redeeming qualities. Worse yet, just a few hours after dining, every single one of us experienced severe stomach issues that lasted for two days. It’s hard to ignore the correlation when the symptoms were so widespread among our group. El Burrito Loco not only failed to deliver on taste but also left us regretting our visit due to the aftermath. I’d advise others to proceed with caution—or better yet, find another spot to dine.

Went here today with my family. The carnitas was delicious. The staff are very friendly and great prices. I do highly recommend stopping by here to get something to eat

My son's in college in the area, so when we come up to visit we like to look around and find new places. Came across this place and I'm glad I did. Will definitely stop here again. Grab a burger for sure.

We love this place, the staff is friendly and atmosphere lively. As for the food, the bee sting wings are my favorite and paired with a beer - it's perfect!!! My honey prefers hotter wings and boy was he surprised to find out the bar makes smoked old fashions!

Just stopped at Coaltown Taps for lunch. First time at the resturant. You receive a friendly welcoming feeling when you walk in. The resturant was very clean. Our server was very nice and a great smile. I had the bacon burger and my friend had the chicken sandwich. Both meals were very good and we washed them down with ice cold beer. I highly recommend this great addition to Richlands. Finally a local resturant with great variety of food and great variety of beer at a great price. We will definitely be back.

They listen well and get the order correct. Food is good and fresh. My only complaint is the tomatoes are green , not ripe at all, hard to eat.One time the bun was like cardboard. But I eat here often and 99 percent of the time the food is great and the service is great ! Please add strawberry Fanta to the menu...the cheese sticks are not good , the marinara dip isn't good either, sorry !!! Onion rings are good though and we love your chicken the best of all the other fast food places. Updating my review. The food has gone downhill greatly. Please wear hair nets the past 4 times I ordered food I had long blond hair in my food. Also the guy with the oozing cold sore on his mouth looked really bad as did the guy who emptied the trash handled the trash then handled food without washing his hands, watched i know this as a fact. Please teach your employees to be clean !!!! The ketchup packs are nasty covered in sticky goo. The last sandwich bun I got was weird ...will share photos. My dog and myself got sick from the chicken 3 times now.

This was my first time back here in over a year. Still very clean, nice people, and the best Impossible Whopper that I have ever had. I will definitely eat here again the next time I pass through.
