Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Reno – 2024

I was on a business trip, and this restaurant came highly recommended by my professional associates and an Uber driver. It certainly lived up to their expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I opted for the salmon with seared vegetables, a side of gumbo, and ice cream cake for dessert. The service was also impeccable, with the staff checking in on us frequently to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I chose to sit outside, as the weather was perfect for it. I highly recommend doing the same, especially near or around sunset. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time I'm in Reno.

We had our 10 year anniversary in Reno and brought our dog with us. It was amazing to have dog friendly activities and restaurants. The table next to us didn't even know we had a dog until we were leaving. Leo got ice water and a plain hamburger while we enjoyed the most amazing dinner. The dessert tasted like a pancake, yummy!

Wild River Grille was a fantastic dining experience. I had the Pope Boys Cajun Chicken Sandwich, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced. We also shared the Bruschetta Bowls, which were absolutely fantastic—fresh and full of flavor. To top it off, I had a Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, which paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, the food, drinks, and service were excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Reno!

I ordered the "special" corn beef and hash. Potatoes were good as well as my eggs. However, $25 for canned hash was distasteful. Lesson learned. The husband ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich with fries. He did not like his sandwich. However, mom and I loved it! and thought it was very good! Mom ordered the veggie omelet and enjoyed her meal. The hostess was amazing and very attentive and we enjoyed the environment. The food was unfortunately over price for the quality though.

Great service, great food. My wife and I were touring model homes in Reno and decided to stop at The Twisted Fork for lunch. We're glad we did! Our server, Angie, was excellent. And the sandwiches were great. I had the Parmesan Turkey Melt with a house salad (awesomeness) and my wife had the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. I can highly recommend stopping here for a meal.

One of my favorite restaurants in South Reno. They have very unique ways to cook and season food. This made them very special.

Romantic atmosphere on the Truckee River. The service is very good. The food is excellent too. The elevated Chicken Fried Steak for breakfast is “the bomb”. Their Hamburgers for lunch are juicy and full of flavor. And they use fresh fruit in their cocktails. It’s an overall elevated experience.

Friendly staffs that check on us while we wait. Food was good just a bit of a wait because there were alot of people that time but we love the view of the river and atmosphere of this restaurant. It's a nice place for brunch. The view and sound of the river flowing is so therapeutic. I am glad we got a seat outside when it was supposed to be unavailable. I am grateful the staffs made it possible for us to get to experience this on our last day in Reno. I recommend this place :)

Man this was a great experience with the food and the view was fabulous. It was fabulous, but the service not so good. I ordered a steak and French fries and my friend order a chicken sandwich, which came out hot and ready to eat! Which I did. But as soon as they dropped the food off, we never saw them again . We had no napkins and no water. But I did have the FANCY drink right when we walked in! The place has great food and great people working just don't ignore the ones that come in on the weekday, or the people who live here and come in and eat on a basis.

I made a reservation at The Kitchen Table Reno but ended up sitting at the bar, and I’m glad I did! Parking was easy, and the vibe inside was really nice – cozy but lively. The bartender was super attentive, friendly, and kept the conversation going, which made for a great experience. I ordered the Gnocchi Bolognese with burrata, and it was seriously delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the salt on top really brought everything together. If you’re into flavorful pasta dishes, I’d highly recommend it. I also tried a couple of their cocktails, which were pretty solid as well. Overall, a great spot for good food and drinks with a relaxed atmosphere.

The food is fresh and delicious! I highly recommend The Kitchen if you’re looking for an elevated meal in Reno.

We stopped in 30 minutes before closing for dessert. Our server served with a smile and conversation. We all order something different and each dessert was amazing. Can't wait to return for a full dinner service.

I am so impressed with this place and on so many levels! The food is excellent: interesting spins on dishes we often see in menus, like pork belly—here they make it with apples, sweet glaze and celery root. Insanely delicious! Butternut squash soup Thai style had so many interesting levels of flavor to it and so satisfying after a day on a mountain. Shishito peppers with cashews—yes, please! And the steak was prepared to perfection. Vegetables were crispy and not overcooked with tons of flavor. Last, but not least, Tom made this entire visit very special. We felt welcomed right away, he was very attentive and just wonderful to chat with, so major shoutout to Tom! He saw that we just got back from the mountain and made sure dishes were served promptly, but also not too fast, so we could enjoy our food without having an overcrowded table. Truly a master of his craft. Thank you, Tom!

Everything about this restaurant was top notch. Service, food, atmosphere. Our server was awesome. She gave great recommendations for wine and food.. and was just as sweet as could be! Food was amazing. Every item we ordered. Atmosphere - elegantly decorated and not overdone at all. Just tasteful. Would highly recommend and will definitely come again when back in town.

We have lived in Reno for 2 years and this place is a hidden gem!!! First time here and we will be back. Beautiful view, so close to river. Amazing custom drinks, but the service and food was beyond incredible. We left blown away by this spot. Highly recommend scallops, bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, braised ribs, and filet. Compliments to the chef and server, personable and accommodating.

Fantastic!!!!!! Henry the bartender/waiter/host is a wizard behind the bar. Vodka,Bourbon, Gin he makes it all taste wonderful. Speaking of taste, the food was out of this world. We had the ahí poke nachos, bruschetta and short rib sliders. All amazing. We could spend all afternoon here sipping our cocktails and enjoying the company. When you’re in the downtown Reno area make sure you make time to drop by and say hello to Henry/Hla. Amazing, Amazing Amazing

We had the cod cakes . The ahi tuna plate and the fish tacos . So good and it was great for outside dining. The cocktails were great as the flavor was vibrant.

The ambiance was the perfect finishing touch, creating an unforgettable dining experience. If you're looking for a place where both the food and service are top-notch, Roxy is it. We were here about a week ago. Enjoyed scallops and a prime rib. Dinner was excellent. Unfortunately we were 'celebrating' our first outing without our doggie as we'd just put her down a few wks before. Our amazing server, Heather, was so great. She saw us having an 'emotional moment', related so well to us, and was SO kind. She really went out of her way to ensure we were ok.. even helped us 'toast' to our little girl. She was just awesome!! Made the whole dinner experience that much sweeter! Thanks for the fabulous customer service, compassion and kindness. These things ALL go together to making this dining experience one we'll always remember. Thanks again!

Food was AMAZING! Our server, Clark, was very friendly and quick! We had a wonderful time. Great drinks, great atmosphere, great food.

My friend and I both loved this place. The food was so good. We shared, ceviche, the warm goat cheese, seared foie gras, pork buns, and the scallops. Everything was really good, but surprisingly, I think the warm goat cheese was my favorite dish. The cocktails and the service were both good as well. The price was totally worth it.

Reno has a true gem in the heart of midtown. There's a reason it's been here for 25 yrs and I could see that evident in the delicious and creative dishes on their menu. I really had a hard time deciding what to order because I wanted to try it all. The yellowtail app was very well balanced with a nice bit of heat, and the tomato salad had some of the juciest tomatoes I've ever had. The duck breast came 2 ways, both excellent and perfectly cooked. Though I was a bit jealous of my partners Halibut because the broth was so good. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and professional and we had an excellent date night. I definitely look forward to returning to try some of the other tasty sounding dishes.

Had an absolutely incredible meal here with some friends. Everything we ordered was on point with bold flavors and great execution. We had multiple appetizers and all four entrees were amazing. I could not recommend a restaurant more. By far the best food in Reno, and best upscale restaurant. The woman who took our drink order before we were sat at our table was a little rude but I would gladly come back.

Amazing place. A must see and eat! Chef Travis has a great place, great menu, amazing staff, cool artwork, and great vibes. The bartender Dean recommended checking out Virginia City which we did.

This place is incredible, one of my favorite restaurants in Reno hands down. The drinks were top notch, and the food was outstanding. Every dish we ordered had bold and unique flavors that had us wanting to try more. The food was brought out quick which made trying numerous plates convenient. Centro stepped up the food game in Reno, give it a shot you will not be disappointed.

A small plate restaurant in Mid Town across the street from the Nevada Museum of Art. It’s quaint with outdoor patio dining. The service is very good but the small plate dishes are excellent. I had an evening out at the Nevada Art Museum then over to Centro for a light dinner. My evening was perfect. The food and service here are exceptional.

Best filet minon I have ever eaten. ( My steak looks burnt in the pics, but I eat it medium rare with a seared finish) Servers were top tier. Highly recommended.

Amazing, Top Notch hard to beat. Try the Baked Alaska (with a Bourbon) or any of the options of the evening. The menu is full of variety.

Next day update: I hate to do this, however. After spending $90 on the lobster special for my anniversary night... 6 hrs later I was sicker than a dog! Both ends. It's NOT pleasant and I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I can only guess the lobster wasn't cooked all the way. The service was top notch. IF I GO back I'll think twice about the seafood. Talk about disappointing. $#&@!$# #&@!. ................ (Original review right after we got back) Wonderful. Didn't have a reservation. Wasn't a problem. Salmon plate - fish was so tender and buttery. Sauce was a little.. .. odd. Lobster plate - was amazing. 10oz tail. Wonderful presentation. We also had the crab cakes- creamy and delicious. Only came with two tho. All in all this is a very great place to find for great seafood that isn't sushi.

The service could have been better since I got the happy hour seats . I think the boa bun being fried crispy is what took so long. The food here is great. I really want to try the calamari next time. I got the Asian ribs, boa bun , & prime rib sliders. . All was very yummy. I also got a virgin drink that was very tasty. I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time to avoid the wait.

We visited Bistro Napa for a special occasion and received a lot of attention from our server — five stars for Kristina for her friendly and well-timed service. The food was good and served very warm. Even though we ordered delicious lobster escargot and roasted bone marrow as an appetizer, we couldn't resist a warm bread basket first. Then we had a braised lamb shank and veal dish. If we had to order the same dishes again, we would ask for less salty and heavy sauces. Thank you!

The food was excellent. We ordered two different types of steak to compare, and a full size lobster tail ($100). everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert (baked Alaska, a gift for my wife's birthday). Almost too much service and attention, but it was friendly and not awkward.

We made reservation for Sunday with no problem. I wasn't entirely happy we're the young woman hostess with bad acne that sat us. I felt like she was trying to hide us . once we met our wonderful waiter and his extra helper Jayce, I was happy. Ced our waiter was wonderful and so friendly. He made really good recommendations. Both Ced and jayce were very attentive. My husband and I went all out with dinner, let me tell you, it wasn't cheap but so worth it! I had the filet mignon and I had it rare, it was a bit on the salty side - chef please easy on salt seasoning the mignon. As for the colossal prawn, don't get it if you want to spend $10 for ONE! regular size prawn. Prawn was good and tender but it was Not colossal size at all. My husband had the lamp chops and as rare too. He loved his Chops and we recommend having it rare. Lobster bisque was so good!! We had everything from raw oysters to bread pudding dessert and ending it with a good cappuccino. We will be coming back. Reservations is a must

We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. For the prices we paid, it should have been exceptional steak. I ordered end cut prime rib. I asked to have it cooked medium. The prime rib was so overcooked I struggled cutting and chewing this cut. The other order was wagyu Australian strip steak medium rare. It was tough it was not as tender as it should have been. Overall, we were both disappointed and had a much better dinner at Ruby River and the Western Village steak house.

Celebrated my six year wedding anniversary. We have been here before on our first wedding. It was. Great experience then and it did not disappoint the second time around at all. The food was delicious. But the service was even better. PS try the onion soup, you will not be disappointed.

Had an appetizer of sushi over a bed of avocado which was delicious.. ordered a few appetizers and a Cobb salad to go along with my steak Diana.. Tony was a chef and he was excellent..Kurtis was the waiter and he was very informative and attentive. I appreciate the accent customer service and the upbeat attitude..

This may be the best meal we have ever had. We went for our anniversary. The food was amazing and our server, Katelyn, was exceptional. She made our dinner even more special. Surprisingly with the food and ambiance being very high end, the cost for dinner was reasonable. It was a great experience!

Staff and the server are friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. Drinks are good and strong. They give you a to go bread for breakfast, which is really good.
