Average food. Bland baked beans. Bland country fried steak. Bland corn side. The fries were very good and the garlic toast was solid too. There needed to be more gravy for the steak as well. Server was nice and brought lots of water for us. $28 for the amount of food seems reasonable for 2024 Radium restaurants, but the flavour just was not there.
My wife and I had a beef dip each and the meal was decent. The service was good but could be a little more personable. The atmosphere is a bit dated, I found the tables were too low and a bit uncomfortable when seated. But all around we enjoyed our meal. Don't be frightened by the reviews try it out and you be the judge.
Went here for dinner with my Dad because he said the food was decent and because we were both starving after a day of motorcycle riding. The food was awful to be honest. The service was good and I don’t blame the server for what I’m saying in this review. My dad said his chicken caesar was fine but my meal was not. I ordered the country fried steak which is normally a dish that I love but this one was gross. The steak was overcooked and incredibly tough, not to mention it was way too thick for a country fried steak. The fries were more salt than potato, the corn didn’t even taste like corn, so I couldn’t stomach it. And then they served bean’s with the steak as well which would be fine except for the fact that they came in w sauce and I’m not talking wow sauce, I’m talking the British w sauce that nobody can pronounce properly. Overall not the greatest meal I’ve ever had. I don’t like to harp at local businesses because I prefer to support them over international chains but I do hope that the chef changes a few things. Then everything would be great.

We've eaten here numerous times over the years. This restaurant never disappoints. It's neither too cheap nor expensive ... but just right. Service is fast, professional, and really friendly. We highly recommend this place for a great German/European meal. You will not be disappointed.
Our dining experience at Old Salzburg in Radium, BC, was nothing short of fantastic – easily a 5-star restaurant in every sense! We tried the Wiener Schnitzel Oscar, the special that featured a delightful combination of pork, chicken, and bratwurst, and a side of spätzle, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The Wiener Schnitzel Oscar was a standout—tender and perfectly breaded, with a topping that added a delicious depth of flavor without overpowering the schnitzel. The special was a real treat, with each type of meat perfectly cooked and distinct in flavor. The pork, chicken, and bratwurst were seasoned beautifully, showcasing a fantastic blend of traditional German flavors. The spätzle was the ideal accompaniment—light, fluffy, and absolutely comforting, soaking up the delicious sauces and enhancing the entire meal. The authenticity of each dish really shone through, and the portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that made us feel at home. The service was equally commendable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. Old Salzburg is a gem in Radium, BC, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone craving authentic German cuisine in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It was a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return!
Visit: October 2024 Went here after a long day of hiking. The food was Austrian food and it was great! The snails were a pretty unique appetizer and not one I would usually get, but it was buttery and delicious. We had the schnitzel Oscar and schnitzel Weiner art. Both had really crisp schnitel that paired well with their sauces. We found for the sides that spatzle and toasted potatoes were delicious, along with the included red cabbage. The only thing that was a little underwhelming was the salsburgteller garniert, which was a pretty classic charcuterie board, but it did offer a good variety of meats and cheeses. The restaurant had a very olden theme which made you feel very at home, and the staff was very nice and always checked up on us, so the service was excellent Overall highly recommend!

Overall pretty good. Took a few minutes for them to seat us but otherwise the food and service was decent. Had a chicken Alfredo, beef dip, chicken Caesar wrap and the stuffed prawns. It was all pretty good.
We went to this pub/restaurant at the suggestion of the girl who worked across the street. She highly recommended it and now, we know why! Great, friendly service from the moment we walked through the door, even though we had children and it was 7:45pm. We knew we only had an hour but no one was rude or short with us about it. The male server was super efficient and well knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients. He took all 6 of our orders, with modifications, without a notepad and didn't make any mistakes. We were all impressed! The food was delicious! From the poutine to the burger, to the wrap to the salad! Everything was perfect! It's nice to eat at a local pub and get the great food you expect. Price was reaaonable with decent portions. The only thing I'd suggest an improvement on is the amount of fries we got as sides, could have been a little bit more. Parking was directly in the parking lot in front. Easy access to the highway. Well marked with signage. The atmosphere was rustic and small town-ish which we all loved. Paid tribute to the history of the town and also highlighted some tourism attractions like the Big Horned Sheep into he area. Highly recommend everyone go to this restaurant if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Radium!
This was the only eatery open after 9pm. Staff are friendly and food is good. We ordered Pasta Alfredo (4/5), Cesare Salad and chicken (3.5/5 - a but too salty, the chicken came on the side was a large portion, but had no spice or seasoning). Kootinay Curry (4.5/5 - we added extra spice and it became too hot, it could have been a 5/5 - very tasty), pepper jelly cream cheese burger (5/5- came with potato chips, so tasty). also got a barley soup and garlic bread those were good too. We shared a plate of wings as starter which was well made too. For dessert we got a Oreos cheese cake that everyone was happy with. Portions are generous, but you have the option to choose smaller portions. This is specifically good when you are indecisive when you can order 2-3 smaller portions and share. Our server was nice and attentive. Meals came quick too. Overall I recommend this place.

Big Horn serves excellent freshly made food and drinks on the premises and is open at 6 am and closes at 4 pm - the owner is very friendly, hard working too!! I highly recommend the turmeric latte especially if you have a sore throat or looking for a non caffeine drink - Jashan made my latte to perfection and the field cookie was yummy! Dusty served me with a big smile much appreciated as feeling unwell at the time! Following morning I also had both turmeric latte and an Americano which was good. Using a fettuccine stick to stir is an excellent unique touch. Soup runs out fast so getting there early at the lunch hour is recommended! Seating outside available to take in the views of the mountains and fresh air!!
Small and quaint coffee shop in Radium Hot Springs. Canadiana coffee is the best. It's a dark espresso roast and I normally do not order dark but this one tastes great!!! Meat pastry like empanada and lemon cake are also yummy. Lots of food selections and they all look fabulous. I could order the whole menu, seriously!!!
This is the best Cinnamon role I have ever had!!!! The coffee was amazing and the fresh juice. I got a caramel latte. The guys working here were amazing, I accidentally ordered on burrito and he saw me unsure and helped me out. 10/10 experience

Awesome new restaurant in Radium! We are both vegan and had many options to choose from (this is a rare thing to find vegan food in Radium). We had a trio of dips, vegan tacos, charred broccoli and oyster mushrooms served with a tasty dip. We will definitely stop here anytime we come to Radium. They have a large drink menu with zero proof and cocktail options. The drinks were also fantastic. Definitely try this place out! The pricing is quite fair for the high quality of food and the ambience is also great.
Absolutely incredible experience. Very inventive, conscientious and fine dining at a reasonable price point you don’t expect for such expertly executed dishes. The drinks are creative works of art, refreshing and delicious. Plenty of choices for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan which I love and very much appreciated how much of the menu was locally sourced and organic. The salmon was absolutely lovely which paired perfectly with the vanilla cabbage, was such a treat and definitely something I’ve never had before. So glad I came in to treat myself and will be back several times during my stay in Radium. HIGHLY recommend.
This is an underrated place in Radium. It’s conveniently located and intimate while being easy going. Elegant food. Excellent execution. Absolutely unique menu and beverage list. A proper wine list (you know I need one). I suggest this is also a chance to try sharing dishes as well.

Amazing!! Decided to come to this restaurant as we (fiance and i) knew it would be up on the mountain top bit we didn't expect to get such an amazing experience! Unfortunately but also lucky for us, no one else was dining (we got there right as they opened at 5) so we got to enjoy our meal in peace. The place is older but has so much character. Prices are fantastic! The food was beyond amazing. My fiance has never finished his fish and chips anywhere but he did here! The only down side is very little parking, hence the 4/5 stars. Overall would definitely come back and recommend :)
All you can eat hot pot in Radium hotsprings! Looks like the owners changed as I was told that this restaurant was only opened the previous day. Because of that, they don't have some items on the menu like spinach, beef tripe, wonton, ice cream etc. They are learning the locals tastes. For now there are mushroom or tomato soup available. The solo server was very kind, offering alternative options if the vegetables were not available. The "hot pots" are unique and the meat/vegetables and soup were Very good! They also had an array of sauce ingredients like green onions, sesame paste, combination spices, hoisin sauce etc. Its a pretty hidden place, but don't let that deter you. Thank you so much for the meal!
The recently opened Phoenix Hot Pot which replaced the old Hungarian venue just opened September 2024, and restaurant is under new ownership so any reviews before that date are not relevant. We just had our first meal here tonight. Food was excellent - great flavors and our first Hot Pot was a fun learning experience. Service was great. Manager, Ivy was wonderful in helping us learn this new eating style.

Service was excellent and the beer was very good. A flight of all 5 of the beers on tap is a great way to enjoy what a small brewco has to offer.
First time to this establishment and it sure won’t be our last! Fantastic brew selection and amazing staff. Love the relationship with food providers in town; bring in your own food and enjoy their beverages. Bravo!!
The only problem we had was picking the second beer after the flight because we enjoyed them all. Usually I have a preference but wow, they were all great. Staff was really friendly and chill. When we went there was live entertainment on their outdoor stage that we really enjoyed. Would love to see your beer in stores but I guess we will just have to go back and enjoy the atmosphere, what a shame ;) thanks!

Visit: October 2024 Didnt get to try any ice cream because we visited really early in the morning, though all of it looked delicious. This was a very very cool, ice cream and vintage themed ice cream shop. The staff was incredibly friendly and inviting, and the hot teas and coffee we got were great Highly recommend this place for everything we experienced, even though we couldn't try the main items!
If there's one thing I've always dreamed of is finding a 1950's "American Dream" inspired café/ice cream shop. We came this morning to get breakfast included with our stay at the Motel Tyrol and I cannot express how amazing this place is! The breakfast was incredible, the service was superb and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. So many little touches from the turquoise and red accents to the stainless steel and retro styled counter and serving spaces. Will most definitely be back again!
It's been a minute since we last stopped at Screamers for some ice cream. The reno looks amazing, although I'm not certain how long ago this was completed. The old school diner and ice cream shop look gives a great vibe. The ice cream is very tasty, just like most other shops in the area that carry Foothills ice cream. The Algonquin Canoe flavour is amazing and my go to anytime I see it offered. The portions are reasonable given the price.

This Subway, located just a 5-minute walk from Prestige Radium Hot Springs and right on a gas station, offers excellent service and friendly staff. Despite being super busy, they maintain high standards of hygiene, with staff changing gloves frequently, which I observed while having my bowl prepared. I had food here twice, spending over $300 in two days, and found it to be consistently good. If you're in the area, this Subway is definitely worth a visit.
Came in for a sandwich on the way out of town. I found the Subway inside the gas station to be spotless and manned by a soft-spoken, extremely polite man behind the counter. He was so genuine it was almost off-putting. I appreciate him very much! The Cold Cut Sub tasted great. The bread was just right, even though I came in late in the day at about 7:30pm. I really appreciate that he listened to me instructions about cutting the sub in half and wrapping each half separately to make it easier to eat in the car. PRO TIP- Have your sub cut in half and have each half wrapped separately to make it easier to eat a footlong sub in your car.
I asked for pineapples in my order, and the guy at the counter told me that pineapples are only available in USA Subways, not here in Canada. He said it in such a condescending way, as if it was my first time visiting Subway. I've been a customer in Canada for longer than this guy has been making sandwiches, and I know for a fact that pineapples have been available here before. The staff clearly needs better training and customer service skills.

This may be the best meal out I've ever had! We had the Bison Ribs and the Chicken Alfredo pizza. Both were cooked to perfection and brought out quickly! The atmosphere was lively and fun, our server, Katelyn, was very caring, and took care of any of our needs. Absolutely amazing experience. Thank you for making our honeymoon memorable :)
Food was good! Service wasn’t bad. The ketchup bottle was mouldy and revolting to look at so I asked for a new one. I kinda felt it low key offended the waitress as she didn’t come back after she served our food. Only for the bill. Whatever though. I also question the way they serve their jam. Do they reuse it? Where’s the lid? This cant be financially sustainable?! Coffee was meh. Toast was hard. It is what it is.
Food wasn't that great. Resteraunt was loud. Originally we went there for dinner the night before and they didn't have any great options. We ended up going to the Horsetheif instead and it was sooo much more worth it!!! When I was looking up breakfast options, the place I wanted to go wasn't open until lunch and the next best thing seemed to be this place, but I can tell you right now I DO NOT recommend it! My kids ordered from the adult menu as it was cheaper for them to get what they wanted there over the kids menu as we would have to pay for add ons. My husband ordered the Mexican omlett. It was just ok. Quite small. I did like the cottage potatoes. That's probably the best thing at that place. I ordered the avocado toast. Nothing special and didn't come with any sides. Just overpriced poor food. My sons meal said this on the menu: 1 egg, 1 bacon or 1 sausage or 1 ham, pancake or cottage potatoes and toast. He only got 1 tiny egg, 1 bacon and 1 pancake with nothing on it and no toast. We confronted them about it. The first lady said it was a misprint. 2nd lady came out of no where and made excuses saying it's proper English that she got from her English teacher (this waitress had an accent and really had no reason to come to our table making excuses). They admitted they encountered this concern in the past from other customers. You would think if it kept happening they would correct it on there menu. The 3rd waitress, who was our actual waitress, apologized and said the wording was funky as it actually should say, "1 egg, 1 bacon or 1 sausage or 1 ham, pancake or cottage potatoes OR toast." We expected them to bring out the toast after apologizing for the misunderstanding, but they never did. So disappointed in the customer service, quality of food and management. On top of that I wanted to treat us to New York Cheesecake with pureed strawberries for $10.00. It was a joke. It was 2 tiny slices that weren't even very thick and the strawberries were jam. I would have rather bought a whole cheesecake from the grocery store. I'm a huge cheesecake lover and this was the WORST I've ever had. 2 Thumbs Down!!!

The store isn't much to look at - they just serve pizza, not tables (well, I think there is a picnic table outside, but not for servers). The pizza was pretty good, and it hit the spot when I was craving just a pepperoni pizza. My wife had the bruschetta pizza and enjoyed it. I'd order from them again if I was in town.
I got a 10" pizza to go for myself and it was very delicious! It smelled amazing and tasted even better. It was quick, easy, and it hit the spot whether it's a family vacation or a post hike meal. Will be back for more.
Always amazing and consistent pizza from this place. Perfect dough, tasty sauce, and the Canadian Rockies is my favourite flavour! I do not like their wings but my husband seems to like them.
