We have lived in South Florida for 6 years. We have driven all over FL searching for good Portuguese food, with no success until Vinhus opened!!! What a delight. The location is perfect, the staff/family is so kind and take pride in their restaurant and customers. We are original from CT and ate at great Portuguese restaurants in NJ, CT and MA. Vinhus is my favorite.
“Visited this beautiful restaurant by Pompano Beach, and it was a great experience! The ambiance is perfect, with a cozy beachside feel that’s ideal for both lunch and dinner. Parking was a bit challenging, but that’s expected in the bustling downtown area. We tried the lamb chops, and although they were a bit pricey, the taste and quality were exceptional, making it worth every penny. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable meal by the beach!”
I recently dined at Vinhus, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with traditional decor that transports you straight to Portugal. The menu offers a wonderful selection of authentic dishes. We started with the bacalhau ze do pipo , which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were vibrant and true to the traditional recipe. For the main course, I opted for the seafood , which was rich and satisfying, packed with fresh ingredients. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. My only critique would be that the dessert options were somewhat limited. The pastéis de nata we ordered were delicious, but I would have loved to see more variety. Overall, Vinhus is a fantastic

Went for brunch; it's great pricing and the quality and taste of dishes were phenomenal. Our party did the bottomless mimosas and for myself I had a cappuccino and the espresso martini. They do a handsome ratio of liquor to OJ and the espresso martini was not watered down. In the photos are salmon Benedict, salmon avocado toast and chicken and waffles. All were delish and i noted that the fried chicken was not 1. Greasy 2. It had great flavor but was not over seasoned and 3.;they did a cinnamon type spread on the side that complemented the maple syrup and it was not overly sweet. Finally our server Jason was down to earth, friendly and professional, in our party we had a birthday and Jason brought a complementary dessert hot chocolate brownie with ice absolutely mouthwatering thank you Jason .
Great service by Jacques! The food was fresh and served hot. We went as a group of 8. Ordered goat cheese salad, grilled octopus as appetizer. Others had the eggplant meatballs and Tuna stack. Everything was delicious. Our entre's were the pork chop and short rib, polenta and green beans all spectacular! Even sat at the bar beforehand and the service was excellent. Over all it's a great place, and really good food. The decor was nice also.
Excellent place to visit on my last day in town. Happy Hour had great items to choose only thing it was advised didn't have any more wings to sell. Bite size burger and parmesan truffle fries wasn't hot (room temp) I was going to mention it. I waited all day to eat and didn't feel like wasting any more time. I advised my waiter of it after I paid my tab. Overall you will enjoy it like I did.

Overall 10 stars if I could everything was absolutely amazing. Kevin (needs a raise) was our server he was amazing very timely and super nice. That's just the tip of the iceberg the food was absolutely delicious I got the crab stuffed mahi 10/10 definitely recommend. My father got the pick 2 with coconut shrimp and fried flounder also amazing (he let me try both). For my sides I got the Mac and cheese and loaded potatoes huge portions. My father got the coconut/pineapple rice and broccoli which he said was really good and perfectly cooked.
Should have never returned and left it a good memory. Second time around was the worst service I've ever received. Lady ask what we wanted to eat and runs off before we could even respond to handle another table. Took her ten minutes to return. Was there for over an hour with 3 other tables in the whole restaurant. Like purposely trying to provoke us. Well all you did was earn the smallest tip. She took so long I blame her for the cold food too!!! Which didn't get eaten.
The food was delicious. The prices were seriously impressive. The service was top notch. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Oceanic in Pompano Beach is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views that set the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The service is top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The vibe is vibrant yet relaxed, making it a great spot for any occasion. And the food? Simply outstanding—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic meal by the water!
My father and I decided to try out someplace new. Great service, amazing views, loved the food options and overall I had a nice time. I selected the bread basket to start, the I selected the Shrimp Scampi and my father tried the Cashew Crusted Salmon. Both were very tasty, nice flavor and the portion size is good. Its not too small but not enough for left overs so be prepared to eat. I made sure I was leaving room for dessert. I love Creme Brulee. It was good but very sweet. Great for sharing! All and all I would give the vibe, our server and the food a 10 out of 10.
We had an amazing time and experience at Oceanic Restaurant. Our waitress Savannah was THE BEST! We are on vacation from NYC and the experience was the best we’ve had in a while. Everyone was so welcoming and the atmosphere was beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Savannah was so nice and had great knowledge regarding the menu, drinks and answered any questions as well as being able to accommodate any substitutions we asked for. The manager checked on us as well. Amazing service/ hospitality and the food is so fresh and delicious from the appetizers to the entrees and dessert we loved everything.

Very nice experience here tonight. Morgan was our waitress and did an excellent job. Friendly with an excellent sense of humor. Took very good care of us. Dinner across the board was really good. Everything came at the right time, hot and exactly as ordered. Pictures are attached. Drinks were great. Live entertainment was great, as well. All of us old folks were singing along. They had a good crowd for a Wednesday night. Recommend that you stop in.
Atmosphere is everything when you're in Florida! This place is right on the beach in Pompano. They have the absolute best smoked fish dip (a favorite of mine and one you can't get in the great state of Iowa)!! And their raspberry vodka lemonade is definitely worth a try! You might want "one more"!!
On the 4th of July, we stopped by this cozy restaurant with a great location near the beach. The service was friendly and surprisingly fast, considering how busy the place was. We ordered the shrimp, a fish burger, and the Village salad. To our delight, all our food arrived promptly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The quality of the food was above average, and the prices were very fair. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely return. Keep in mind that depending on the time you arrive, there might be a wait for a table.

Despite driving by for years... I never visited before. Food is excellent.. service is fantastic.. from the host to the waitress we had to the owner.. to a very nice surprise. It is a very good restaurant.. food was excellent.. the atmosphere is awesome too. The only thing I was a little on the down side was the old fashioneds we had. Not a place for those. Besides that... it was an awesome surprise to say the least.
The food was fresh, delicious and amazingly portioned. I’ve been here a few times over the years and it’s always consistently great! The staff is very welcoming, the pianist is such a nice touch for dinner entertainment, and the service is always on point. I had their Rockefeller oyster special and it was so yummy! I can’t wait to go back again soon :)
We were greeted as if family. From the water to the cannolis, everything was superbly prepared. I had the Milanese and she had the Parmigiana and let me tell you...it was straight❤️ ❤️ ❤️ . I want to try every entree on La Veranda's menu. The atmosphere is so cool and laid back, you'll want to hang out vibe. I highly recommend visiting La Veranda in Pompano Beach, FL.

The best pasta in Pompano, but don't forget the veal and chicken. We saved a bit of space for desert as well. They bake their own bread and you can tell. They also have gulten free options. Make a reservation be its not as big of secret as you you would think. You will be really happy.
My husband and I had an early dinner at La Perla last night and it was incredible. Everything is fresh and homemade to order. Probably the best pasta I’ve had in the states. The service was personable and impressive. We cannot recommend enough
I know that I did 5 stars across the board. Never. Have I done that before but this restaurant is 5 stars!!! We have never been disappointed during the many times we have eaten there. The mozzarella and tomato salad, the octopus appetizer, linguine in clam sauce, black pasta with seafood, veal, chicken, and fish. All were wonderful. We go every other week so if you see a couple with bibs on, heartily enjoying their food….feel free to say hello!!

I have to begin this review with the hostess, Lindsey. When my wife and I entered the establishment, we were greeted by the profoundly gracious hostess Lindsey. Lindsey asked my wife if we've dined with them previously. As a result of it being our first visit, we were given a complimentary appetizer, but the gracious hospitality did not end there. Bathroom cleanliness is at the top of my list at all establishments. If I can trust your bathroom, I can trust your kitchen! The bathroom receives an above average review, alone. Chef Reggie stopped by our table to say hello. He gave us his background in Cajun cuisine because my wife ordered Cajun pasta. Without a background in Cajun cuisine, most Cajun pastas are just heavy cream with creole seasonings over a bland dish. The Cajun pasta was outstanding with intricate layers of flavor. The flavor profile had depth. At the conclusion of our meal, Lindsey reappeared to ensure that our experience was satisfactory. Additionally, we were offered Keylime pie as a parting gift to seal the level of service and satisfaction of our experience. I rate all aspects of our dining experience a 10 out of 10.
We have been coming here for years. The food is always consistent and fresh. The staff is always attentive, friendly and efficient! The atmosphere is just our vibe nice lighting nice music, friendly people everywhere! Brandon, who has been our bartender for years is excellent! We haven’t been here in months, and he treats us as if we are regulars! He always has a huge smile on his face as good recommendations and handles the bar like a professional! I would totally recommend coming here and spending time at the bar to order your drinks and food!
J. Marks was recommended, and I have to say that our experience and food was very average. The Tuna Tartare had very little flavor, and the Guacamole appetizer was a little for a lot of money. The Fierro Chicken was good but the sauce was thick and sticky (not on purpose), the Five Cheese Pasta was ok, and the Shrimp Scampi was heavy heavy on the lemon and the tails were left on the shrimp (tell the chef “sorry, not sorry”). So many food choices in and around Pompano, if this place’s goal was to look, feel and taste like a chain restaurant, they nailed it.

We sat outside on the intercostal at the bar. Was a great experience. Sunday at 12:30. Our bartender/server was fantastic. Friendly and was on top of everything. I had the rotisserie chicken kale salad and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Everything came out quick and tasted amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
The restaurant was fantastic! We started with the artichoke appetizer, which was delicious, and for the main course, we had the Hawaiian rib-eye. The steak was perfectly cooked with a subtle, sweet touch that made it really unique. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they were able to seat us outside with a lovely view of the Intracoastal canal. The service was attentive, and the flavors were spot-on. Highly recommend!
We went last night for dinner for my friend's birthday. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is nice and it also has an outside dining area next to the water where you can see the boats pass by. The only missing part is that they charge us for the dessert, which usually is free on birthdays in other places. No biggie cause it is not expensive but just an observation... besides that I recommend it 100%

Wow, this place was perfection! Found this gem of a place on our trip to TopGolf and we both loved it! First, they brought out these fresh and hot rolls that just melted in your mouth! They had the perfect amount of butter and garlic and were so good we asked for more! Then the salad which was very unique and a wonderful combination with lettuce, blue cheese, some sort of sweet chutney, tomato and cucumber. It was very tasty! Then, our dinner came out and again, perfection! I had the chicken parmigiana and my husband had spaghetti with meat sauce. I dare say this is the best Italian I’ve ever eaten! The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce was the right consistency and not watery. I loved the chunks of tomato in the sauce as well. This place was packing people in on a weeknight and we definitely saw why! Five stars! Amazing! Kudos to the chef and servers. Everything was on point. We will definitely return upon our next visit to the area!
What amazing restaurant! I literally have no words, the food is authentic Italian food everything we had was incredible (best garlic knots I have ever had). The service is so top notch!!!!!!
I would definitely return again and again!! Everything we had was delicious from the house salad to the vodka pasta and lasagna! Big portions! Love the old school Italian atmosphere.

To start off, music, way too loud for a restaurant. When you say something about it and are told by your waitress that customers have walked out because of it. That's not very reassuring. Our appetizers did not come out, in-fact we were given an option to remove them. We chose to get them anyways. Was probably a better idea to remove them instead of getting them. The "Steakhouse Soup" tastes identical to Campbell's Vegetable Beef soup, that was disappointing. The Tumbleweed Onion straws looked pale white and were beyond greasy. I had ordered the prime rib at medium rare, this thing was like an ice cold brick as if it was taken out of the fridge, thrown into a microwave and set to 30 seconds to defrost. After having to wait longer for it to be re-fired. Hoping that you know, prime rib would be like prime rib...it was flavorless. First time I ever had to ask for A1 Steak Sauce to give it flavor and even then it was rough trying to mask it. The steamed broccoli was a joke. Both times it was undercooked and like biting into a brick. The only thing going for them is the coleslaw and the dessert. Or at least the ice cream and the kit-kats on it. I won't be returning here, the last time I came here was roughly 10 years ago and I remembered why I never returned. The food to me, is horrible. I hope others have had a more enjoyable time with their food than I have. The sole reason I came here is because my father wanted to come here for Father's Day.
I have been a loyal patron of Big Daddy's, also known as Flanigan's, since childhood. I make it a point to visit every year when I return to sunny Florida. However, my recent visit to this particular location left me with a rather unpleasant impression due to the subpar quality of the food. While I could not fault the service, which was exceptional, the wait time of over 45 minutes for a party of five was somewhat excessive. The bloody mary was disappointing, lacking in flavor and seasoning. The prime rib was noticeably seasoned oddly, prompting my mother to send it back. The wings were also dry and unappealing. The tuna was dry, the rice was clearly pre-cooked and tasted stale, and it had a displeasing burnt flavor. On the positive side, the bread was quite delicious, and the burger was a standout dish.
This place comes highly recommended by the locals and we now know why. The food was delicious-large portions for such a reasonable price. We all brought leftovers home. The atmosphere is a fun pub feel and our waitress Christina was phenomenal. My husband ordered the 12 oz Mahi Mahi (market price was $23) which was cooked perfectly and I ordered the prime rib meal deal with a baked potato garlic rolls (which were incredibly soft) cesar salad and drink included for $18.99 Our daughter had the kids mac n cheese which was more like a homemade mac n cheese not Kraft from the box which is typical of kids menu restaurant mac n cheese. Their curly fries were tasty and the firecracker shrimp appetizer was our favorite! We loved Flanigan’s and would definitely come back!

Able to walk right up from the beach and grab a table under the covered tables. Ordered frozen alcoholic beverages that were delicious and didn't skimp on the alcohol. Breakfast was tasty. We had a breakfast bowl and an omelet. Came back later for lunch and had the fish tacos. Service was a little slow, so maybe not a great place for little ones. Everything is fresh and delicious though, worth the wait. Wouldn't recommend the bar right next door though, not very friendly and drinks weren't worth it.
The restaurant has great food and drinks, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The staff make the entire experience so joyful and the conch fritters are very delicious! Fresh fish everyday and the key lime pie was the perfect dessert for the beach. Beautiful scenery in every direction you look! The tiki huts add a great detail to the resort making you feel like you are on an exotic island. Our favorite bar in Pompano!
Hidden gem in the back of the Beachcomber Hotel. A tikki haven with ocean views. Very casual but perfect for dates. We went on Saturday for lunch. The service was wonderful and the people friendly. There was a limited brunch menu but we selected from the regular one. I had a red wine Mimosa which was frozen and refreshing. The Conch Fritters were delicious. They were $15 for four. We had burgers and fries and they were delish. We really enjoyed the scenery. There was a guy singing and playing live music which added to the ambiance. Definitely worth the visit.

What a find. Absolutely delicious little joint tucked away in a strip mall and filled with regulars. I had freshly caught red snapper on a salad with a house-made ginger dressing. Pretty incredible. I saw the high star rating and gave it a try while on a trip. More charming inside than out. Food and service both great. And a solid value. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food and staff. All scratch cooking! Don’t be deceived by the storefront, it is truly one of the best local restaurants. Amazing scallops, large beer/wine selection and save room for key lime pie. Thanks Jody for an amazing dinner!
Calypso Restaurant is a casual restaurant located in the Garden Isles Shopping Center along Cypress Creek with some tiki island ambiance. Warmly greeted by a female employee, Rachel, who allowed me to sit anywhere in the restaurant which was not busy. As I got settled, I was asked what I wanted to drink. Being my first time here, I was unsure. I was then given a drink & food menu and a few minutes to make my decision. Prices are moderate. The menu had a vast selection of dishes which was influenced by Caribbean cuisine: * Appetizers/soups/salads/sides * Burgers & cutters (island lingo for sandwich) * Entrees/rotis/curries * Meat & poultry/fish & chips * Raw bar platter/lunch platter * Daily soecials & desserts * Cold beverages/beer/wine For my drink I had a glass of Stellar Rose Moscato which was lightly sweet and crisp. First I started off with a small house salad consisting of romaine lettuce, tomato, shredded red cabbage/carrots and sliced cucumber, topped with honey mustard dressing. It was very tasty. Next came the entree - Stamp & Go which was two saltfish patties served with my choice of two sides (rice & peas and fried plantain). The fried plantains was fried nicely and was sweet, just how I Iike 'em. The rice and peas was cooked to a soft consistency and was full of flavor just like it was made in the islands. Rachel was nice enough to give me some curry sauce on the side since I stated I don't like eating dry rice, and it made the rice taste so much better. The saltfish patties was crunchy on the outside and flavorful on the inside mixed with curry,, onions, and red/green peppers. When Rachel came and asked if things were to my liking, I replied that the food exceeded my expectations. I literally felt like I've been transported to the islands...the only thing that was missing was some island music to solidify the vibe. Last I had the bread pudding for dessert. It was served warm topped with whipped cream and cinnamon....absolutely scrumptious! On the verge of being overstuffed with all that delicious food, I asked Rachel for a container to carry my leftovers home. I also ordered a chicken roti to take home to eat later. Rachel gave satisfactory customer service and I hope she's around the next time I stop by. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to waddle to my vehicle.

This was an absolutely fantastic lunch at a mind-blowing beachfront restaurant that exceeded all expectations. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff (such as Ian who really deserves 5-star ratings) who made us feel truly welcomed and valued. Their burgers were exceptional and bursting with flavor, not to mention their tasteful sushi selections. The ocean views from our table added a serene and picturesque backdrop to our meal. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable experience that combined great food, excellent service, and stunning scenery. Most likely the best restaurant South Florida has on a beach-PERIOD. We will definitely be back!
A favorite spot on the beach of Pompano ⭐️ A large space with a variety of wonderful seating including ocean side. The menu is amazing with something for everyone! Every dish is cooked perfectly and was tasty. As GF and veggies we had a wonderful experience dining at sunset looking at the water. The staff is friendly yet not over baring.
It was my first time at the Beach House and I am so impressed. The service, view and food was incredible. Thank you Cooper for making my experience amazing and for recommending the key lime pie.It was so delicious. I will definitely return.
