Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Placentia – 2024

Two of the best meals that I had during my visit to Newfoundland were close to the ferry terminals. After disembarking from the long ferry ride from NS I looked for a local place to have breakfast and found Kelly's. I found it to be the exact kind of cafe I always search for. A small, local owned, locally patronized home cooking place with great service and excellent food. It was here that I had my introduction to Newfoundland pan fried cod with scrunchions and Newfoundland pea soup and was delighted ! The fish was generously portioned and cooked perfectly, and the soup and sides were good and hot. I highly recommend Kelly's !

Recently came here for lunch. Staff was nice, food was fresh, good portions, etc. We will be back when in the area.

: Edited ⭐️ rating Haven’t been able too give ‘ the review.or Feedback 'I’d like to ' as for the service and the order in which was asked while at the drive through it has been ridiculous lately ‍♀️ myself also my husband go get Tims every morning an throughout the day, Never had any issues as mentioned until recent ( an yes it’s frustrating due to the fact they are aware of this as it has happened several times now yet nothing has changed If it were just the odd mistake an or confusion as for them being busy or whatever ? (Even if they were just getting a coffee order wrong) that is okay an I would not complain , I’m just fed up with them never correcting - giving what I have ordered , payed for to begin with really. Two weeks of this !

Was at the orange store to get gas and went into Tim’s after to grab a drink. This was probably 7:50 and I didn’t realized they closed at 8 until I heard a staff member say so. This was my first time at this location. The girl who served me was just rude and you could clearly tell she was annoyed by having to serve me. As she was handing over a drink she said something along the lines of “I’m done with this night” or something along those lines. I just took my items and walked away. I get it, having to serve people when you’re almost closed is annoying, but you’re open until 8, you might have customers until 8 ya know. Just a very unpleasant experience, you never make comments like she did in front of customers,

My opinion the boardwalk is a place you can be yourself no phony people, the bar tenders are so patient and full of fun. Me myself I think it's the place to be if you want to be yourself and really have a good time. My opinion and off course I'm right lol I love the boardwalk the people that I meet there everyone is just so friendly. Jessica O'Reilly Gina Oreilly and Michael leanard you guys are the best

Not well maintained

Stop on other side of that new bridge and taste some of this areas down home Chinese cuisine. Owners Yee and Fonnie will surprise you with great service, low prices and atmosphere. Check it out or have it catered in for your next party.

Had this over the weekend when visiting the area. Everything was so fresh and yummy. Even my boyfriend who's a picky eater loved every bite.

mothers day 2024...had lemon chicken and chicken balls (actually it's turkey) with supper/diner. was like trying to eat a piece of rubber, ya just couldn't chew the darn stuff and it tasted horrible.

Always the best and most friendly service!! Valerie always remembers who everyone is! Lee was very fast in getting my order ready!

Food is always fresh and hot! Staff are friendly and know their repeat customers! Valerie has excellent customer service and know’s repeat customers by their first name and remembers the food they typically like to order which makes it more personal! Great job keep up the great food and service!

Great place. Went there for the first time for a reception after a funeral. These people are fantastic. They catered the hole event, as the funeral was for one of there members. Soup, sandwiches and squares. And the soup was amazing.
