First time trying this place. The atmosphere here is great. Family friendly space. Cute place with a nice outside area. Staff was friendly! Lots of beer & bourbon options. I got the Mediterranean salad with chicken, my husband got the sautéed burger & my son got the chicken tenders and fries. Everything was good, especially the fries!! Will be retuning to try more items on the menu.
This is a dive bar on steroids. Check it out for yourself and enjoy the phenomenal food and vibes. Hidden gem for light Mediterranean fare
Fun place! Covered outdoor area, 2 bars, great American & Lebonese food. Live music.

Not your average pub fare! There was a little wait, but it was worth every minute. Menu was full of variety and everything was delicious. No joke...the BEST Shepherds Pie out there (and we order it everywhere). Food is full of flavor. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Stepping into this establishment felt like taking a delightful trip back in time. The rustic charm was absolutely captivating, making the experience both fun and immersive. As for the food—simply amazing! Each dish was packed with flavor and prepared to perfection. We ordered the scotch eggs for appetizers which were so delicious. My husband had the duck filet which was out of this world and I had the dinner special of the steak which was tender and very tasty. The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive and friendly, making sure everything was just right. To top it all off, the facilities were spotless, which only enhanced the overall experience. The quality of everything—from the atmosphere to the food—was truly outstanding. Highly recommended!
There's a reason people are gathered at the door the minute this place opens. The quaint (and quite clean) atmosphere and friendly staff are amazing. The food is the star though. Each component is so well prepared and tasty.

You will be paying 18% gratuity when dining in no matter what.! It took about 10 minutes to even get ours drinks. We never got a refill of drinks. The food came out cold overall. The Mac tastes like leftovers. Only thing hot was the small chicken. Chicken wasn’t seasoned well. Had to put lots of hot sauce on it. The waffle was still doughy. Not completely done. The fries were over fired and still cold. Cornbread, lemonade, sweet yams, sweet tea was good. Serves was not good, only interacted with us about 4 times. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to get our food.
Went here for my mom's birthday lunch. Upon entering everyone was very friendly. Waitress was knowledgeable of the menu even suggested a couple of their popular menu items. I had the sweet tea and my mom and sister had the arthur ashe. My sister and I ordered smothered turkey wings , rice and gravy with cabbage. Absolutely delicious. My mom ordered the potatoe salad mac and cheese and the fried fish. She absolutely loved it. Dining room was clean and decorated in antique decor. Bathroom was clean and styled well. Plenty of street parking. Absolutely enjoyed ourselves and we will be back to try some other menu items soon. Prices were also reasonable.
I knew this place was going to live up to its name. My wife and I as we were eating, saying, "Shut yo mouf!" The food was so good, almost immediately I jumped into my sleep wear and got into the bed and was out for three hours, now that was some good eating. They know they should put warning on their food, "Warning food my make you sleep, not drowsy but sleep". It well worth the travel for and we will be back hopefully in August.

We stopped after a visit to the national park Crate site. The food was amazing. The ribs and pulled pork sandwich were both tasty. The highlight tho was the Moon Fry for desert. A deep fried moon pie with a Caramel glaze and ice cream. It tastes as good as you'd think, actually a lot better. Worth the trip on its own, but do try the BBQ also.
Establishment looks good and has a nice quite atmosphere. The people are nice. The food just wasn't for me and I only speak for ME. It was Luke warm which makes me think it wasn't cooked to order. The ribs.... Were not tender and the food just wasn't good all around.
A hop off i95 road trip—we like to support local restaurateurs. Hub’s Bbq trio was very good, as was my veg-based trio of kale/black beans, sweet mash & potato salad (smoked tofu tacos are also offered)—good, filling, well priced. Our personal negative: not much of a dressing to the “coleslaw”—tasted just like plain cabbage w maybe a little vinegar.

Heard about Nanny’s quite a bit but have never been here before. Heard the homestyle southern comfort food on the buffet is amazing. Rumor was that the cheeseburger was the best. And that wasn’t a lie. This is how a cheeseburger should be done. It was so good. Fresh onions, lettuce, crisp pickles. I opted for no tomato. Soft Fresh bun. Melted cheese. Meat was cooked perfectly. However the fries were not my style. They were soggy. I like my fries crispy. Maybe next time I’ll get onion rings instead. Will for sure come back when I have worked up an appetite to try the buffet offerings. It all looked so appetizing. Was completely packed on a Friday at lunch hour. Steady patrons coming and going. I see why this restaurant is popular. Too bad the hours are limited.
By the reviews and the crowds packing this place, I had much higher expectations but left extremely disappointed. First, I want to say that the wait staff was extremely kind when sitting us down and taking our drink orders. Now that the pro is out of the way: the biggest con was the food quality and the price point that quality came with. We got the buffet, and the food was so terrible, nobody wanted seconds and could barely poke through the first plate. Almost all meats were extremely dry and tough. This list of terrible proteins included the fried chicken, the (I think) turkey, pulled pork, and the ribs. The only thing that turned out decent was the brisket. The sides and desserts (aside from the peach cobbler) were also nothing to write home about. Based on these other reviews, maybe we went on a bad day? Like, the WORST day they ever had…? Or the people in the area haven’t diversified their food experiences enough to know what flavorful and juicy meals tastes like. Date we went was Aug. 24, 2024, in case their main chef was out sick or something that day.
Not far off of 95 is this great Southern barbecue buffet restaurant. We found it quite by accident and are certainly glad we did. Maybe some of the crispiest and tender fried chicken we've ever had. Every bite of food we had was better than the previous bite. Salsbury steak, pulled pork, greens, homemade whipped mashed potatoes, hush puppies, it was all delicious! We marked this place on our map so that we can make this a regular stop.
Maria’s Old Town 21 is a charming and inviting establishment located in the heart of the historic district, where rich culture meets modern convenience. Our mission is to…
First time eating at Maria's Old Town 21. The spaced used is very Italian cafe look. It's beautiful inside and out. It was raining today, so the outside was not an option. Had the Lemon Garlic Lamb Chops (Medium), Barataria Caprese, Tiramisu, an Old Fashion, and an Espresso. Everything tasted great. The server was spot on when attending to my table. He was very polite, and he knew his menu well. I will most likely be back to eat something else that they make, haven't yet decided. But whatever it is, it will be delicious.
There wasn't much staff waiting on customers, the waiter we had was busy taking care of everyone. It took a while to get menus, and then after ordering, it took a while to receive our meal. The food was okay but very pricey $$$$. I doubt we will return when there are so many other choices and businesses not charging as much with better service.
So delicious and real Sicilian food. My bf is into Italian and of course me too, so have to try this place on our way to FL. 100% recommended and please try the Farfalle Allo Scoglio and the Maria’s Bang Shrimp. The decoration of the place is so nice and unique

Amazing food! We were dining as a family for lunch and we had a great time. Walter, our server, took great care of us! He was attentive, friendly and helpful. We took different dishes and every single one was super delicious! Ricardo the owner was also there and he was very friendly with us! Definitely a great place to dine. Highly recommended!
Christian, the bartender, was amazing and professional. The dark & stormy he made me was perfect! The music wasn't on when we arrived. However, they did cut it on, but it wasn't top 40hits. So the vibe was dull! The crab/shrimp dip wasn't a favorite, but the lobster/shrimp egg rolls were delicious! My husband loved the fish and chips. I enjoyed the bone in ribeye, which was cooked an excellent medium upon my request. Overall, I would return to taste other items on the menu, but I do suggest that for date night, they work on the music and add old bay to the dip! Give them a visit!
Very nice place when I walked in it was not very busy maybe due to the weather which was good. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a Lemon Drop Martini and a Salmon salad and they both were delicious. Also got the chance to visit and try out there Shrimp po boy which was good as well

I had an amazing breakfast experience at this hidden gem in the heart of Petersburg! The steak was cooked perfectly to my exact temperature preference—juicy and flavorful. The food presentation was on point, and everything came out surprisingly fast without any compromise on quality. Aaron, the owner’s son, was incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a great breakfast in Petersburg. Highly recommend!
Great food and friendly service in a humble atmosphere. We were driving down to Virginia Beach and were looking for place to get some bruch. We saw some chain restaurants and then there was this place with good rating. We chose it and I could not be happier that we did. The burritos and the home fries were exquisite, all the rest of the food was also pretty good, and the service was friendly. My only suggestion would be to put the burrito in the front of the menu so it caches more attention. As a first time guest I saw the classic eggs bacon and home-fries breakfast on the first page and just ordered that, and thou it was a pretty good, when I saw the burritos my friends had ordered I wished I had ordered that! :D
Don't let the outside appearance fool you! Step on in and try it out you would love what inside. The food was excellent, the staff was very nice and helpful. Only then I could see is a problem was that the space was small, but that what makes it so special. Enjoy your meal if you ever in town, a nice little family business get an outstanding approval for being a good place to start your morning!

The best diner in Petersburg! Good old fashioned food served with a smile. The breakfast is awesome. Lunch is just as good. Located in historic downtown Petersburg, it is conveniently located on a corner with a stop light. Has outside dining, inside tables/booths, and also a counter you can sit at. Great restaurant.
I love the Dixie. Feels like home inside. Sides and food in general is amazing and very well priced. Best slaw dog in the state. Love um. I eat at the Dixie almost every time I'm in Petersburg. If you like hot dogs or home made country food in general do not miss this spot. Please don't ever change.
Very friendly staff, cute establishment, so I want to like it here so bad. But the breakfast food is just not good. I've been here multiple times now to give it a chance, but every time it's been pretty bad. Soggy French toast, super dense pancakes, bacon and sausage seemed old. Such a shame.
