Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Petawawa – 2024

Sorry for the picture, couldn’t help myself not to take a few bites before leaving this review. Every time I have gone to the Shed they have been 10/10. Food always so fresh and delicious, customer service is fantastic and the atmosphere just makes you feel like family. I’ve never had a donair before but now im addicted ! I have will only go to the shed for my donair!! You should 100% come and try all there amazing food !!

You heard it once and you will keep hearing it. Best poutine in the Valley. Fresh cut fries amazing gravy and ALWAYS squeaky curds! Donairs are delicious as well. It's a must try if you haven't! And a stop worth adding to your road trip if passing by Petawawa!

With all the chip trucks in this part of the Ottawa Valley, I don't know what to me so long to get to The Shed! This time we just had a classic poutine but it was a perfect ratio of cheese and delicious gravy. I can't wait to get back to try their Newf poutine!! The East Coast soundtrack had me singing to the embarrassment of my daughter, and others were dancing! The nicest people seem to wind up there! Highly recommended!!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and when you ask for spicy that make it proper spicy none of that pansy stuff lol. Great prices for the large portions you receive. I’ve eaten a dozens of Indian restaurants across Canada and this is definitely in the top 5. Only reason why I have 3 stars for atmosphere is for the time being it’s take out only. Must try!

Fantastic Indian cuisine! One of the best I've had. Refreshing to see Pembroke have this kind of authentic flavour to the neighbourhood. We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them. One of the best restaurants in Pembroke. Highly recommend! You can order various ranges of heat. The medium is relatively spicy. I could have personally gone spicier because I love the heat, but because we were sharing, we got medium and they found it spicy but in a good way. The way I would expect Indian heat to be served.

We ordered take out for the first time on Monday Sept 16th. Will definitely be going back! The food was flavourful and well prepared. Delicious! The man at the counter was very kind and patient with us, explaining the different dishes and answering all of our questions. Great customer service. Don't be intimidated about trying it if you've never eaten authentic Indian food, they will gladly help you choose your meal. I didn't give full stars for atmosphere because they haven't finished the seating area yet. I'm looking forward to trying their buffet. 100% will definitely be going back.

Paid for a quarter chicken meal w fries and added coleslaw. Got home and zero fries. Got charged $24 and didn’t even get what I paid for. I went to the drive through at 8:50 last night and the employee said over the speaker in a really annoyed voice “we close in 7 minutes…” I said “ok?” Because there was no follow up that their machines were off and she did not inform me that they couldn’t provide certain items - and she proceeded to take my order. I can’t help but feel like she did not want to make fries/had none ready and instead of telling me she decided to let me figure that out once I was home and it was too late.

Way above average service for a fast food outlet. Super polite and very quick from initial order to order being filled. Location clean. There's no Locations where I live, but I am a big fan of their food. A trip here was certainly a big treat for me. Would definitely frequent this location if I lived nearby.

We ordered online at 4:25 for pick-up at 5:05. When we got there we were told to wait a little bit. Then a 5:35 we asked if it would be ready soon and they told us chicken wasn’t ready and it would be at least an other 30 min wait for our food. We decided to leave and cancel our order because our daughter was too hungry. It was our first time trying this restaurant and let’s just say it’s not really a great first time.

This restaurant was closed for months (so they could go away) and was supposed to open in May which it didn’t. They finally opened in June. We ordered the same items as we did previously before it closed. Before it closed we paid just under $80. This time it cost $111.83. When asked why the price was so high and such a difference from the last time we ordered we were told that prices have increased. That’s a ridiculous increase and our soup containers were only 3/4 full. This is unacceptable.

Just finding the cost of Chinese food is going up with every visit so we have to.get a new menu everytime... ( yes the cost of food is going up I understand) but woe this is crazy... everybody is very friendly and always busy....wait times are crazy too..but hey its a.treat every once awhile...hey have a great day eh..cheers

Visiting family in Petawawa this past weekend and decided to treat everyone to Chinese. We've ordered from here before and it's always been okay, not great, but okay. This time a few of the dishes just tasted 'off'. Fortunately the little ones stuck to the chicken balls and rice because those of us that ate the off-tasting dishes were sick with food poisoning. My wife and I are seniors and it has taken until today to finally get over this and start feeling somewhat better. What a truly horrible experience for us.

Pretty decent Japenese sushi bar restaurant in Petawawa. We went for the seniors all-you-can-eat option so we could sample the variety and we were not dissapointed. We tried from the nice selection of rolls, sushi and sashimi and we liked it. We also tried shrimps and scallops in different presentations and all were good as well. Not a great selection of desserts, only ice cream the Saturday we visited the place, so we skipped desserts. Price was right, we will come back for sure.

Been to this location twice. Showing up both times just as they open. Being the first customers of both days. First time was beginning of september 2024. We decided to try this place out for our anniversary. We had to write our own orders in on a piece of paper, both times we came here. There is no waitress staff. They had a food inspection happening as we were waiting for our food. Besides there being spiders under the bar area, and there pop fridge temp being too warm, it seemed like the inspection went fine.Our second time ordering, i noticed rice and fish eggs on the menu that was given to us. I said to the male owner that the menu is dirty, and he verbally disagreed and told me its not dirty its just rice. I said having old food on the menus is dirty, and rice is food. Both the old lady and man who run the place are working with food, neither are wearing hair nets. I watched the old lady scratch her head and not wash hands, and just went back to making sushi. The atmosphere is something ill never come back to... they play inapproperate cartoons on a tv (both times ive been here) it is very loud and consisists of cartoons showing people blowing farts with lighters, people choking and such. While writing this review, the old lady did infact put a hair net on, wash her hands and change the cartoons to a peaceful japeneess water stream. Much more approperiate for a restaurant. The food is good minus my partner finding a bone in his pho. And as we were ordering the kitchen had a loud disagreement about my mix tempera #25 which i sure the male owner wrote #36 instead. Which consisted of only veg tempura, as i wanted shrimp as well. Both times with my sushi came ginger and wasbi. The ginger has been foul both times. I ordered all you can eat the first time, and it was pretty good minus the ginger being bad. This time i ordered Sushi box B and some of my fish as shown in pictures is discolored. The ginger is dry and tastes of mold. My tempera which wasnt the one i ordered, you could tell that there deepfrier is dirty and left a unwanted flavour on the yams and brocolli. The male owner forgot my miso soup which was delievered to me only a few minutes before we were ready to go and were already put off of the meal. Owners seemed nice enough. When i over ordered on the all you can eat, the male owner kindly explained that there was no way i could eat that much and he didnt want to have to charge me for the take home. Which was much appresiate. I dont think we will ever go back to this restaurant as theres another pho place next door with a broth more flavourful and my partner doesnt eat sushi. My partner felt like the older man was nice enough on the other hand i felt it very difficult to tell the male owner something was wrong and not have it come off as, im making issues as a customer instead of noticing something not right, wrong or off-putting. I really hope this restaurant improves there cleanliness and atomphsphere issues. And maybe downsizing the menu would help stop food waste as they served me bad fish. And i got sick in the parking lot, leaving not even finishing my meal.

This is not ramen noodles with veggies. This is spaghetti noodles. It was so gross. General Tao was not good either. Chicken had hard texture inside but soggy and breading fell apart. Some chicken inside looked grey. Not good!

Fantastic flavors here! Truly a great addition to the area. Honestly a pleasure to eat. The beef kebab is just insanely flavorful. Edit: Came back a year or so later and it's still amazing!!!

Our favorite place to go for Friday Night take out. Tonight I opted for some recommendation that came together beautifully. So much food I'll have lunch tomorrow. Psst!! Fries with the garlic paste are amazing! People are pretty terrific too. :)

My mom loves this place and took us for lunch. It was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, food was spectacular and the prices were great! Easy to recommend.

I was working out of town (from Ottawa, Ontario) today in Petawawa, Ontario. Picked up some lunch (takeout) at Harvery's 28 Town Centre Blvd. location. I ordered a number 4 combo (classic Harvey's burger, with cheese and bacon, along with frings - onion rings and fries together). The fries, onion rings, and hamburger, were some of the best quality food I've ever eaten at Harvey's. The food was all made fresh to order, absolutely delicious, and the speed of service was exceptionally fast. I was very impressed with the level of customer service from the staff at this location. Sundeep was the name of the cashier who served me and made my hamburger. After eating my meal on the worksite, I phoned the restaurant and spoke to Debbie (manager) today to express my positive experience and express my thanks for such a positive experience. I will not hesitate to return to this Harvey's location in the future, if I am in the area again. Great job team Harvey's!

I visited Harvey’s today and had an outstanding experience. The man with the beard "Mohammed" who made my sandwich was incredibly professional and attentive. He asked me each time if I was satisfied with the amount of toppings, making sure everything was just right. His welcoming attitude made me feel truly valued as a customer. The service was excellent, and the sandwich was delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a positive experience

I recently dined at Harvey, which is conveniently tied to Swiss Chalet, and it was a delightful experience. Our waiter was particularly impressive; she provided insightful recommendations that helped us navigate the menu with ease. One standout was their ghost pepper sauce—it truly packed a punch and elevated our meal to a whole new level. The combination of flavors and the overall quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Some of the tables weren’t cleaned up, needs some improvement on cleaning tables

Yummy coconut soup with mushrooms and shrimps. No so good spicy rice noodles with mushrooms, lemongrass and beef. The noodles a bit oily and the presentation lacked Thai colors. I ordered spicy level 4 in 1 to 5 scale and it was HOT....up to the expectations. I will come back and try other Thai dishes, but not noodles...The wines and beer list a bit short...nevertheless I had a decent glass of cavernet sauvignon,.... next time I'll go for beer.

Previously known as “Gokumi Suhsi” now branded as “ThaiValley” under different owner probably serving one of the best Thai foods around this area. We ordered Green curry and yellow curry and both came with a small portion of steamed rice and not gonna lie even though we order from lunch menu, we barely could finish the whole thing. The restaurant is not fully operational yet so only doing takeouts but the server was nice enough to offer us to eat in. Expecting even better from them. We all should give it a try so that it encourages this newly opened business to do even better.

I love this place and the chefs that work here so much. This is my favourite place to eat that has ever opened in this town, the quality of everything on the menu is absolutely unmatched. I have family from all over the country that swear they can't find a green curry as good as they make it here. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Came out for supper with my kids for my birthday and had such a great experience. Food was delicious and our waitress TL was great and very friendly. I'll definitely be back in the future.

I am very pleased with the service from Terri Lynn. Fast efficient and amazing food. Did I mention great service. Love the passion and hard work she puts into her job. She's amazing making drinks that's for sure

I had such a great experience! I would go back 100%! My server, Valerie, knew exactly what she was doing, she had a smile the entire time, you can tell she absolutely loves her job! Food was amazing as always! When i go back im definitely going to ask for Valerie again!

We stopped in, as we read reviews online, and knew we would be in the area. So happy we did. The young lady that served us was so wonderful, smiling, friendly and knew her menu. She helped us with a pizza deal. The pizza was wonderful, perfect crust, REAL stretchy pizzeria cheese, Toppings were great quality, and the sauce tasted fresh. It was all around one of the best pizzas we have ever had. With the excellent service on top of it all, made it exceptional. Place seems very busy, alas with pizza this good, no wonder! Highly recommend!! We will definitely return!

I ordered a smokey BBQ Chicken and my wife ordered a pepperoni bacon. My wife's pizza was fine, my pizza, however was more soup than pizza. It was so over topped with toppings that they just slid off the dough and soaked through the box. For $31 for a small I'd expect the pizza to be, you know, a pizza and not soup.

Happy to have Halal options, I recommend chicken wings and chicken pizza. Great staff and great service. Prices are a little bit high, hope they work on it.

We were served by Anna. She was attentive but a little stretched thin. We ordered the pineapple, beet, and goat cheese salad. Some of the lettuce in it was frozen. The manager removed it from our bill to make up for it. I live the sweet and savory Italian pizza that we ordered. It is my favorite.

I recently came to Boston Pizza, and it was an exceptional experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting but, what truly stood out was our server, Anna. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. She made fantastic recommendations and the level of service was top-notch! Anna ensured our drinks were always full and checked in at just the right moments. Overall, the combination of great food and excellent service made for a memorable evening. I can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

Had a good meal, nothing to complain about. They have these tablets on the tables, rather ineffective as the staff seems to ignore the indicator light anyways.

Best place for a juicy burger for sure. Not sure how I feel about their fries it’s always burned and fries depends on the time you order. It’s a good place to enjoy a meal. They moved to a new place instead of inside the gas station and now they have seating and good chilling spot. Recommended for sure.

I got the cheeseburger poutine. It was massive, lol. I've had cheeseburger poutines elsewhere, and they just tasted like starch, not great. This one, however, was amazing and filling, tasted just like a cheeseburger. I have never had a problem with law and orders. People complain about greasy burgers and such, but that is what you get with smash burger style burgers. All the burgers are delicious. A 10/10 from me and many other dedicated customers. A most excellent menu. We chose the hickory crunch and mushroom Swiss melt burgers. Fries and onion rings. Large servings, excellent ratio of onion to batter on the rings. Fries were some of the best I’ve had. The burgers were delicious perfect size, excellent taste, melt in your mouth bites just absolutely wonderful after a very long day. Well done, be seeing you again!! Only 4 stars for atmosphere as we did take out but it’s very clean and neat inside.
