Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Penn Hills – 2024

Got a medium extra thick pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and peppers. Love the thickness of the crust-HOWEVER the crust was tough and not soft enough for ppl with no teeth. The sauce was highly underwhelming and bland. No salt no spices were detected. The topping was fine. They had chocolate chip cookies that looked delicious so I bought a half dozen just to get home and taste something like coconut in them and they don’t taste like any homemade chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. But will not be going back. I also ordered a half Italian hoagie and will update review after that.

Loved our first trip to Pasqualinos’s. The banana pepper apps were fantastic and the sauce was exceptional. Great prices and BYOB without a corkage fee.

This is not take out. This is a real family dinner. Food was soooooo good I cannot believe I ate a whole bowl of chicken Alfredo. I needed about nine more rolls. It was like I could not stop eating. Thank you guys so much for making my dinner. I will be back to try something else.

Usually I get the chicken wings or the grilled shrimp which are typically DELICIOUS. However I got my wings today with a steak hoagie and it’s greasy, salty and I just couldn’t finish it. I tried to eat some cause I didn’t want to waste my money but it’s just too salty. The bread is falling apart cause the bun wasn’t toasted and all the grease just saturated it- mind you I live five minutes away so it shouldn’t have gotten that soggy. I’ll just stick with chicken and shrimp. And off you order the shrimp order with fries or something cause it can be a little salty as well. BUT THE CHICKEN NEVER FAILS!

Bar maids were rude . And it took almost snd hour to receive a burger and fries . Fries were burnt and bun was stale !!! Wont go nor order from that place again!!!

This is a bar where you get some of the best bar food around. The drinks are reasonably priced and very strong. Another thing I like is the pool tables and the bar is very roomy so you can move around without being shoulder to shoulder and they also have DJ's on the weekends.

Ordered through Door Dash 6 Wing Dinner Chicken ➞ Cooked to correct texture, no sogginess, crisp and moist. ➞ Seasoned just right Mac & Cheese ➞ Baked and sturdy, like at Thanksgiving. ➞ Great cheese blend, Yams ➞ Sweet, firm and delicious. ⭐️ The linguini is to die for ⭐️

Today I ordered 6 piece wings and cheese fries with extra seasoning. The wings were so small and over cooked and didn't even have much seasoning, I couldn't even enjoy them. The fries were not seasoned well either. I have been there maybe 4 times now and never had an issue, but this time was horrible, and completely a waste of money and time. Ugh.... yuck!

The owner/mother was yelling at the daughter/cashier from the time we walked in to the time we walked out. It really gives a bad look. She was initially upset she took a payment of 100$ because they didn’t have enough change in the register at 12. Then upset she took the order for mac & cheese, after I was notified my original request of collard greens wasn’t available I then settled for cabbage which wasn’t the best & had I known that’s how they would taste I wouldn’t have ordered it. The cook was upset over simple issues she created like giving the daughter 2 different orders instead of giving her one order at a time then yelling at the daughter when she is creating the issues. She yelled at the kids saying they don’t listen and this is why they can’t go to the pool & so on. The food was basic the meats we ordered was the best thing received the cat fish and the chicken tender carry’s the restaurant. The fries were over seasoned & undercooked they weren’t crispy they were flimsy & the cabbage had the same season as everything else so it really lacked flavor although they were nice and soft.The yams were good but they had so much juice on them like they were spooned in instead of drained before hand. I had to move my chicken to the other box because the juice pooled under the chicken and spilled all over the inside of the bag. Whatever season they used they shook it over all the meat,fries, 2 pieces of bread, and also on the cabbage. We could have and should have saved our money. We came here because it’s a black owned business but they definitely failed this time around. I hope they have a better family atmosphere when off the clock because I know I would have told my mother I wasn’t going to help out anymore based off what I heard and would be miserable going home to that same terrible attitude. But god bless them the father seemed to be the customer service rep but not too helpful in the kitchen because why wasn’t nothing prepped the night before or even earlier in the day before opening up.idk well we’re visiting from NY & have most definitely had better soul food in PA & many other states. The sweet chili sauce probably is store brought but that was the only thing consistent all around. & I only came here for the greens so it really was a let down.. go to the eagle it’s way better.

A pretty typical Chinese food place. The food is good and fairly priced- you even get the egg roll with your meal. The restaurant is a little dimly lit and no one greeted me when I walked in. But, when someone was able to come she was very polite and quick to get me taken care of. We will be getting more food from here for sure.

It's our typical, very well serviced, and consistent space. The food is hot and flavorful. The orange chicken is good but it's not giving alot of orange flavor!!

I just picked up my order of chicken lol mein, fried dumplings and 2 egg rolls. The lo mein was nothing but noodles....chicken isn't in there. And I received steamed dumplings, not fried. The only part of my order that was ok were the egg rolls. This is very disappointing.

Outstanding, homemade bonafide classic breakfast! Made while you watch if you're sitting at the counter. Will always take out-of towners for a great morning or lunch!

Just discovered this little gem. Went for breakfast and the food was awesome. All homemade and REAL potatoes. You have to be an early bird because their hours are 6 am to 1 pm. The service was great and the people are super friendly and accommodating. It’s just like taking a step back in time to the old time Diners and who doesn’t like Diner food? I’ll definitely be going more often.

Delicious potatoes! The sausage gravy was also amazing. Solid place to sit and think while the regulars who know each other well laugh and make the atmosphere exactly what you want from a diner. It is cash only and the ATM was broken when I went this morning, just a heads up.
