Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Peabody – 2024

Really enjoyed the food here. The clams were very fresh would highly recommend it. The octopus app was also well done. The tuna was cooked perfectly and also extremely fresh. I got the seafood stew, it had great flavor but the ingredients were mostly long frozen ingredients and you could taste it. Still the broth had a great depth of flavor.

First timer who will return again! Arrived on a Friday night around 5:45 or so, was told it would be a 30-minute wait and it was about that, maybe a tad bit longer, so we waited outside on the sidewalk, as there was no space at the bar. But, worth the wait! There may be about 10 four-tops in the dining space and off to the side, a small bar that maybe seats 10-12? We were seated and ordered an appetizer, which was a fresh deli meat and cheese and pickled cauliflower and roasted red pepper—delicious! For dinner I had the seafood stew with potatoes and it was sooooo good. Monica was a friendly, efficient server. My only complaint pertains to my own hyperawareness, for as we dined and enjoyed dessert—capachino and flan—there was a party of four—likely “regulars”—who were seated/standing at the bar and kept scanning the dining room again and again over the course of our hour-and-a-half there, which made me feel as if I were being watched and rushed. As a visitor to the area and someone who has 0% Portuguese in my DNA, that made me feel a tad bit awkward, but that is not at fault of the owner or manager. That experience wouldn’t stop me from visiting again!

Hidden gem!! This small hometown restaurant is a local favorite!! The food is absolutely off the hook. Traditional Portuguese cuisine that is spectacular!!! You will find locals always here. The place is small but cozy with generous drinks. Many meals served in the pot they are cooked In. Doesn’t get more traditional!

Excellent meal with the family last night. Christine was our server, she did an amazing job. She had many reccomendations, from drinks, to salads, to the meals. We started with our drink order and appetizer. Both were fresh and delicious. The kitchen made a chicken dish (not on the menu) that my daughter really enjoyed. My wife was able to get Chicken Limone, her favorite. I had many choices on the menu that looked good to me. I ended up ordering a seafood special. It was a stew with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, swordfish, and lobster. It was certainly enough for 2 servings as I have a delicious lunch as my leftovers today!! We really enjoyed our meal, our food was delicious and portions were large.

We decided to order take out tonight and were excited to have a nice meal. I opened my chicken piccata dish, added cheese, and when I started to mix it I found not only 1 but 3 long curly hairs. This is after we just had another bad experience a few months ago and decided to give it another try by ordering take out. Needless to say, no more toscana for us!

My family loves both the restaurant and the catering services. We use the catering for all our big family events. People always say how delicious the food is. The portions are big and prices are very reasonable. I’ve worked with Lisa Abbatessa for all my catering and she is awesome. She is great at knowing the amount of trays you need and gives great suggestions on the food selection. She is always pleasant. The food always is delivered on time and delivery staff is always pleasant. I highly recommend using the catering services!!!! You won’t be disappointed.

We went in for dinner on a Sunday night! We were immediately greeted by our waitress Samantha who was nothing short of fabulous. She was so helpful in recommending different dishes and was overall just the sweetest waitress we have ever had! This is the best service we have received in a very long time. She was super attentive and helpful. The food was also amazing, we got the spinach and artichoke dip, it was the best one we have EVER had. We also got the steak tips and the lasagna, so delicious! We can’t wait to go back and ask for Samantha again!

I visited for the first time today, and it was an incredible experience! Our waitress, Sharon, was so warm and welcoming. This place is definitely going on our list of favorite restaurants in the area! I absolutely loved the mocktail I ordered—so glad they offer non-alcoholic options. The calamari was fantastic, and even the bread with oil was delicious. Loved the to go deserts at the entrance!

What an amazing dining experience for our family! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We showed up very early to for our reservation time and they proceeded to find us a seat. This was so awesome of them because this a was very busy Friday night for the restaurant. Our waitress was so nice and seemed to really care for us. We ordered the lamb lollipops and stuffed mushrooms with lobster topping for an appetizer. Both apps were exquisite! They looked to pretty and tasted amazing! The lamb was very tender and flavorful while the mushrooms were good sized and resting in a delicious vodka type sauce, plus there were chunks of lobster sitting in the vodka sauce as well as in the mushrooms. For our entrees, we got the Salmon Piccata, the lasagne and the kids fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken. My husband enjoyed the salmon, especially with the veggies it came with. The salmon was cooked to perfection! My lasagne was very tasty and a HUGE serving in a cast iron pan! I love lasagne with bechamel so this hit the spot! My son enjoyed his fettuccine and the noodles were fresh and the grilled chicken was so good that he left no piece unscathed. For dessert we got the crème brûlée and it was so tasty! The crust was not too crunchy and the custard was was a great consistency. Additionally, to drink we got the sangria, a Paloma & a White Russian. All three drinks were amazing!! I wish I could remember our waitress’ name because she was amazing! Her dad served in WWII and she has a Boston type accent. She definitely deserves kudos for her positive attitude and kindness.

Fries come unsalted, and prices are a bit high, but the quality otherwise is amazing! Service was great, my burger bomb was perfectly rare, my husband's Wardhurst Alfredo was so good. Most of the food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Again, the exception was the house cut fries. They were completely unseasoned and only lukewarm.

My husband and I went there for a date night. It was very clean. The service was great. The food was served hot and delicious. We both got prime rib with stuffed shrimp. They offered 2 sides with the meal. We had a great time. I played Keno for the first time and won enough to pay for the meal and tip!!!! I will definitely make sure we frequent here .

This place has seen better days. The service is still good. Employees are friendly. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Wings are good, fried chicken isn’t bad, lemon pepper chicken was dry and bland, and their meatballs may be the worst I’ve ever had. Whoever handles their social media accounts needs a little work on their professionalism. I won’t be back here for a while.

If you are thinking having your event here - stop thinking… and BOOK!!! Rebecca was beyond helpful in helping me plan, and nailing down details for a family party we had. We rented out the entire upstairs with all the games & a private bar and bartender. The two women working our event were hustling all night to make sure food was out and people had drinks.. all while cleaning up and greeting our guests. If you’ve eaten here for lunch or dinner it goes without saying… food was FANTASTIC! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!! It was absolutely awesome and we can’t thank the double bull staff enough!

My husband and I visited The Double Bull Taphouse today for the first time with our kids, and everything from the food to the service was remarkable. We were seated in a booth and had Mark as a server during lunch, near the televisions on the wall so that my husband could watch the Patriots play against the Titans. We started with an onion ring tower, while our two kids enjoyed their Mac and Cheese. The food came out spot on, allowing us time to enjoy our appetizer and promptly enough so that the kids didn’t wait. My husband ordered the #8 burger and added bacon, and I took Mark’s recommendation and went with the Chicken Tacos, which was a great choice. Our food came out so tasty, and we chased it down with some beer. Our kids had a blast and Mark’s service was phenomenal. The pinball games were a blast, highly recommend checking this place out and we’ll definitely be returning.

I’ve always ordered online but this was my first time in the establishment and it was a good experience. Food, service and atmosphere was great and I’d definitely recommend. We will definitely be returning.

The food was really good. I recommend the popover salad with steak tips. You get 4 big steak tips and they are delicious. We went for lunch so the atmosphere was much older.

Very large restaurant! We went with a party of 20+ and they seated us quickly. Waitstaff was very friendly and took our orders efficiently! Multiple people around me had the lobster Mac and cheese and finished their plates even though they were stuffed. Large pieces of lobster and very delicious! I ordered the steak tips, and they were delicious as well! There’s also outdoor seating with a mini waterfall outside, which looked nice!

Wow were we impressed! If you sit at the bar ask for Jerry as he incredible! First time visitors but he gave so many tips and hints! Food was cooked to perfection and tasty cooked to perfection! An absolute must to visit and grab a bite to eat

Great location with breakfast! The food and cocktails are made to perfection. Severs and bartenders are fast and d courteous! All specialty cocktails are delicious!

We sat at the bar and it had a great atmosphere from the way the bars lit too the decorations and how the alcohol is displayed. Service was great checked in multiple times and very friendly. Made our drinks like a pro :) Plenty of options on the menus from heart healthy too greasy and delicious Portions were medium/large sized for the price it was at. Overall the meal was a hit and would definitely come back to try Breakfast and Lunch

We've been enjoying this gem since it first opened its doors! The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is so inviting, and the service is consistently top-notch. And those amazing popovers? Simply irresistible! Each visit feels like a special occasion, and we can't help but smile every time we're here. Cheers to many more wonderful meals and great memories!

Easy to linger at a Sunday brunch like this. Four of us sat down at the bar, ordered mimosas, and were greeted by a beautiful bowl of complimentary breads served with fresh butter and jelly. Two orders of filet benedict, 1 vegetarian fish benedict, and 1 omelet that was on special. Every bite was outstanding and we are pretty sure they use Natalie's orange juice in the mimosas. Service was wonderful; our glasses never ran dry and Jacob was ahead of needs. Spent 3 hours continuing to enjoy the great service and extra drinks while never feeling rushed or that we outstayed our welcome. Thank you for the awesome hospitality.

First timer here. Pretty good steakhouse that is easy to get to. A little too dark inside where we sat. Could've used more lighting. My meal was great, the steak was on point and melted in my mouth. The French onion soup was perfect. Unfortunately one of the waitstaff spilled hot French onion soup on my pants and also splashed on my 7 year old God daughter's arm. She was ok but not sure I can remove these stain from my pants. Accidents happen, just try and be more careful. I didnt say anything because i didn't want to make a scene. Behind us a waiter had dropped entire champagne bottle and it shattered. We are only human. Besides that I honestly loved the food. Thanks for the memories.

A family-friendly, authentic eatery. We had dinner for two, enjoying the all-you-can-eat steakhouse style. The food was amazing, with the meats perfectly cooked. We also tried the Caipirinhas drinks, which were excellent. Highly recommend this place. Will be back.

I am the only vegetarian in my family amongst all meat eaters. I am so grateful for my dinner tonight at Oliveiras in Peabody because not only was the food extremely flavored and delicious however they had many options for non meat eaters as well. My plate was balanced, colorful and full. Thank you for having, we will be coming back :)

It is difficult to find an equivalent of the sunny shores and wind drenched mountains of Greece. I have found the culinary Little Greece in Peabody with exquisite and authentic Greek cuisine that is Kouzina restaurant. Two aspects distinguish it: the use of top quality genuine ingredients, and an inspired chef. All items are crafted from scratch and made to order. Please, don't rush great cooking, and be patient for the Greek sun and wind to sweep you to culinary heaven.

The best Greek restaurant I've tried in Massachusetts. Every dish we got was excellent. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The staff is helpful and kind. Definitely coming back again and next time will save some space for baklava :)

They even import their olive oil directly from Greece, which adds an authentic touch to every dish. I got a behind-the-scenes look at how some items are made, and it’s clear that quality is their priority. Here’s my breakdown of the menu: Appetizers Spanakopita Crispy phyllo pastry filled with spinach, herbs, and feta. The portion size was huge—like a slice of pizza! A must-try for anyone who loves Greek classics. 9/10 Kolokithakia (Fried Zucchini Chips) Thinly sliced zucchini chips served with homemade tzatziki sauce. The flavor was fantastic, but I wish they were slightly crispier. 9/10 Greek Fries Freshly cut fries topped with aged feta and oregano. You can’t go wrong with fries and cheese—absolutely perfect. 10/10 Oktapodi (Grilled Octopus) Tender grilled octopus served with creamy fava. It was delicious but slightly fatty. If you enjoy octopus, this dish will impress you. 9/10 Saganaki (Flamed Kefalotyri Cheese) A showstopper! This Greek cheese is flamed with ouzo right at your table. The gooey texture and tangy flavor were amazing. My boyfriend even mistook it for bread when I reheated it at home. A must-order. 10/10 Horiatiki (Village Salad) A traditional salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, barrel-aged feta, and kalamata olives, tossed in olive oil and oregano. Fresh, shareable, and flavorful. 9/10 Entrees Pork Gyro A classic gyro packed with pork, tomato, onion, fries, and tzatziki in a soft pita. They didn’t skimp on the tzatziki, which I really appreciated. Absolutely delicious. 10/10 Deluxe Souvlaki Skewers Chicken and pork skewers cooked to juicy perfection. The meat was tender, but I wanted more dipping sauce to pair with it. 9/10 Dessert Galaktobouriko A creamy semolina custard wrapped in flaky pastry and drenched in honey syrup, topped with a cherry sauce. A refreshing alternative to baklava and an absolute must-try. 9/10 Final Thoughts Kouzina is a cozy gem for Greek food lovers. Their dishes are authentic, flavorful, and made with care. During the holiday season, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, adding to the charm. Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Affordability: 7/10 (Gyros are a great deal at $13, but some other items are slightly pricier.) This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurant we have been. The environment is very bright and refreshing in a Saturday noon time. Food is amazing too, I’d love to present them in my detailed photos. We started with two dishes, then ended up ordering the third one just cannot deny the temptation. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try out Greek food.

Absolutely amazing experience overall! First of all, we were stunned by the extremely aesthetic decor as we walked in. The entire set-up was ocean-themed, and it was visually very pleasant. Second, we were blown away by the complimentary bread and dip. The dip was a combo of olive oil, garlic, and tomatoes, and was an absolute pleasure. Third, I was really pleased with my bourbon maple sour and thought it was a great refreshing summer cocktail. We took pita with hummus for apps, and weren't disappointed (although we thought we'd get pita bread and not pita chips, but still, the hummus made up for it). And finally, the Moroccan spice tuna was the best best meal I've had in a while. I took it medium rare, and it was so good that the taste still lingers in my mouth as I write about it! Also, a huge shout-out to Chris! It was fun talking about our PhDs and learn about his journey! Highly recommend overall - would def visit again!!

Food was amazing, I’ve had Greek food before but never like this. The service was amazing, the Owner greeted me and really gave me world class hospitality, my Server Courtney was fantastic and gave me great recommendations for dishes to try. The restaurant is a nice layout and perfect atmosphere. I will absolutely come back here again with friends and family

Leyla is the kind of server who makes all the difference—extremely friendly, attentive, and always mindful of the little details to ensure we had a perfect evening. She consistently went above and beyond, with a warm smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. As for the food, Daniella’s exceeded all expectations. mine and my table's pasta orders were somewhere between genuinely awful and very bland. the gnocchi i ordered had a gross aftertaste, and we waited 45 minutes for this with little to no reassurance. the free bread was the only good part

We had a wonderful early dinner at Danelle's Thursday evening. I had been planning to take my partner there for some time, and we finally made it. We were not disappointed. For a dinner, she chose the Eggplant Rollatini and a cranberry, Pistachio, blue cheese salad, named Daniella's salad and I got the Tuscan Salmon with white beans, artichokes, capers and spinach. We enjoyed the ambiance and our waiter Paul did a superb job. Very personable and gave us plenty of options as he told us about all the "Specials'' that were offered over and above the menu which had many great selections! We were seated right away, having made reservations using the Open table App and were at a wonderful location enjoying the entire view of the beautifully appointed dining room. I love the atmosphere and staff at Century House. The drinks are strong and the regulars fill the place which is amazing. I have only gotten one meal there and it was not my favorite and I would not order it again. The bean dip was good and it seems like a crime to not order it. The seafood alfredo was what I ordered and I would not recommend it. The seafood was coated almost and was very greasy. The sauce ended up splitting into oil while I was eating it. Typically that happens when it’s reheated and I suppose that’s the risk you take when you order an alfredo dish and take it home. The lobster pieces were very small and I don’t know that it’s fair that they claim it has shrimp, scallops and lobster when you get three pieces of lobster. (Picture here for size of lobster in the dish and the sauce turned oil in the background). Anyway, a seafood platter was ordered at the table as well and it was reported good. The portion was huge and the fries and onion rings were tasty. I will absolutely come back and try something different next time and recommend this restaurant to friends. Our waitress was very sweet as is all of the staff I have encountered.

Melanie took care of us and is absolutely wonderful. We got lemoncello martini. The drinks are so strong they don’t make doubles. lol. We understand why. The portion size is gigantic. We got the seafood pasta and it is delicious. I got the prime rib rare and wish I had more room to eat more. You want to eat here. And ask for Melanie.

Wonderful time outside in the fall. Behind the shops so look for it and don’t miss! Great food and great atmosphere. Service was wonderful!

This was a real surprise. We were visiting Peabody for a wedding the next day and stopped in for dinner. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent with huge portions. We had Lasagna as you can see in picture hard to finish. Prepared just right. Atmosphere was intoxicating. All the pictures and paintings and I recognized one picture of old time silent movie star Louise Brooks from Pandoras Box. If you are in town stop by.

The price/quality ratio is great, very friendly but professional staff. Quality live bands Friday and Saturday nights, $10 cover charge. Lisa Love Experience, the WildFire Band, The Far are some of the bands I have seen there, and they have a good size dance floor too. The kitchen closes and live music starts at 9pm. I definitely suggest making a reservation and being there early enough if you plan to eat or you don't want to stand up all night. Lounge is the perfect place to hang out with friends on a weekend night, or you can have a family dinner in the dining room but not a place for a romantic first date.

First time here. I was only here for a function, so my experience will be different than someone dining. The staff is friendly. The food was good. The drinks were great. They have a nice sized bar. Big indoor dining space. I didn't notice if the restaurant had outdoor dining, but it was nice. They do have live music on specific days.
