This is a great place for breakfast if you are looking for a relaxing family owned breakfast spot that's affordable and not pretentious. Brunch came with a big bowl of fruit and my biscuits and gravy were delicious. The crab Benedict is another great option.
A wonderful lunch at Springside! Service was superb and the Thai Chicken Salad was delicious! And such a huge portion!
What a phenomenal dining experience! A quaint little place with mom and pop style flair to enjoy a slow, peaceful breakfast! The scrambles are big enough to tame the most ferocious appetite, and i highly recommend the applesauce pancakes!!! 5 outta 5 stars!!!

Elegant dining room. The booths are very very comfortable. Great view of the courtyard. Service is top-notch everybody is on queue. This time I tried the prime rib was blown away temperature was perfect cooked to perfection. Situated downtown Paso Robles it's a perfect destination for a dinner and a walk and stroll downtown. Highly recommend it. If you just want some cocktails going upstairs to the bar is very nice. Enjoy
Service from Melissa was outstanding. What a pleasure for an otherwise unremarkable experience. We only went to the newly remodeled bar (not restaurant). It was gorgeous. We sat at the bar and the bartenders weren’t too friendly. We got gin and tonics. They use Tin City as the well just so you are aware. It has a different taste. Melissa sat us outside when the music started which was way too loud for such a small space and also pretty old dated sad music. We were definitely disappointed. All in all we won’t be back. Much better food, music and atmosphere at other places in Paso to choose from.
We have dined at the Steakhouse before and it has always been great. This time we had a party of 15 (reservation for private room) which included small children. Our server, Sally, and her associates did a tremendous job with everything. We could not have asked for better service. Also, as usual the food was terrific.

Open all day so great for families with small children who want/need to eat dinner earlier than anyone else. We walked up to the restaurant at 4:30pm and it already had a small line of people outside. We got a table on the patio without having a reservation. Patio is dog friendly. Restaurant is also somewhat baby friendly (they have high chairs but no changing tables in the restrooms). Service is great, front of house and waiters are all very attentive. Food is pretty good but not great. The halibut tacos were good and tasty but fish was not seasoned. The aguachile was too sweet. They are known for their tequila and mezcal selection but the drinks they mix with them are not amazing. The Paloma is ok.
WOW! How is this restaurant not on everyone’s radar?!? This place was AMAZING!!! I wish we lived near here so we could make it our local hangout. My husband said the steak tartar was the best he has ever had and I would say the same about the halibut tacos! They were so fresh and tasty!!! I can’t wait to travel through here again!! Oh, and the bartender was really a great guy! We had so much fun there!!
This is the best restaurant I've been to all year. It's an adorably rancho/seafaring themed atmosphere. All of the staff was extremely kind and seemed authentically nice. The food and margaritas were out of this world. We got the lobster tostado, el burro, chorizo red potatoes, the Gaucho Cadillac margarita, and a strawberry basil margarita. Everything was perfect. This place knows how to balance flavors like nobody's business. I plan on coming back soon!

My wife and I arrived in Paso Robles on a Monday evening and this was our first time in Paso. We had no idea where to go for dinner and found this place on google. I made a last minute reservation for 8:30pm, there was no availability before that. When we arrived the place was packed and only our table was available. I knew right away, this was a good sign and while walking to the table I could tell people were happy with what they were eating. We ordered a few cocktails, an appetizer and each of us had a pasta entree. Everything we had here was great. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and not loud for a fully packed restaurant. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice Italian meal in Paso Robles. We will be back again.
Experiencing the Buona Tavola Italian Restaurant in Paso Robles, California, felt like a real Italian adventure. For a year and a half, I’ve driven past that restaurant, fantasizing about its food, wine, and ambiance. Evening photos of this restaurant are strikingly beautiful and captivating. Seeing them in person is delightful during the holiday season. I found the online reservation system quick, easy, and worthwhile. The restaurant was so popular with locals and visitors that a long line formed at 5:30PM when it opened for dinner. I got my table in under 5 minutes thanks to my reservation. Our dining experience began with Christmas carols and sparkling water. I quickly ordered the restaurant’s special Italian bread with their homemade Buona Tavola’s Olivata spread. I decided to pair my meal with a glass of Italian white wine, specifically Pinot Grigio from Bollini, Veneto, Italy, along with a delicious appetizer called Bruschetta al pomodoro fresco e basilico. Which is grilled garlic bread, roma tomatoes, basil, and extra virgin olive oil and goat cheese. I wanted to try two entrees for dinner, so I skipped the salad and went straight to the Risotto del Cusio, made with Carnaroli rice, freshwater shrimp, porcini mushrooms, organic herbs, white wine, and chicken broth. Then, I ordered the Capellini al filetto di pomodoro e basilico—a delicious angel hair pasta dish with tomato, garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. I enjoyed a bottle of Brunello Di Montalcino Silvio Nardi, a 2018 Italian red wine, with my dinner. The red wine complemented the Italian entrees perfectly at dinner. Naturally, I indulged in the renowned Italian ice cream dessert on the menu, Gelato Misto, featuring three sea sonal homemade gelato flavors accompanied by warm chocolate sauce or basil syrup. I loved dinner and plan to return during the holidays. Kudos to the chefs, staff, and owner! Thank you.
This is one of our go-to restaurants whenever we are in Paso. The dining room has a cool open-kitchen atmosphere and it always has a busy vibe and great service. There are also a few outdoor tables and the temperature was perfect for Al fresco dining, but we chose to enjoy the ambiance of the interior. The menu offers plenty of great pasta primis and protein-centric secondis, along with antis and salads. I started with the tasty beef carpaccio and my friend had an excellent porcini-and-other-mushroom soup. On our first visit, one delicious and creative dish inspired my own take on it for my Chef’s Apprentice YouTube channel (my lobster and prosciutto ravioli Soubice, the inspiration for which I credited to BT). Unfortunately, they didn’t have it on our second visit. There was a similar agnolotti with scampi, which was very good, but I like the lobster version more. The sauce also seemed a little heavier this time but I have no complaints. For carnivores who can’t decide, there was a tagliatelle with a delicious braised chicken, beef, pork, and duck ragout, which had little pick-outable pieces to savor individually and guess which one they were. I particularly liked the way the wine list is organized, which made easy pickins (we chose a local wine, an Austin Hope, but Italy is also well represented if you want to pair Italian wine with Italian food). We’ll be back.

I had an incredible dining experience at Somm’s Kitchen last night, where Chef Ian truly made the evening special. Not only did he personally cook for our group, delivering delicious and beautifully presented dishes, but he also gave us a fascinating history of his carefully selected wines. He took the time to serve us each wine to taste, which paired perfectly with the meal. The wines were excellent and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. The food itself was outstanding, full of flavor and crafted with care, while the service was equally impressive. Chef Ian’s hospitality and knowledge made us feel completely taken care of. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, the whole evening was a standout. If you’re looking for great food, exceptional wine, and an unforgettable experience, Somm’s Kitchen is the place to go!
This experience was the highlight of our trip, and the most wonderful way to celebrate my in-laws 40 years of marriage! The wine and food pairings were perfection. Ian is so talented but overwhelmingly just kind, authentic and easy. It felt like we were being entertained by an old friend. Every part of the evening was over-the-top wonderful. He has created such a unique space that is so inviting, allows for easy connection and conversation, and ultimately exists to bring people together through wine and food we don’t get to experience on the regular. We could not have asked for anything more special. In a world that not often over-delivers- THANK YOU.
This is a special, special place. The whole experience was wonderful and Ian (the Somm in question, owner and chef) was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. We were so lucky to get a space off the waitlist for one of the lunches (typically booked months in advance - plan ahead!) and we walked in with no real expectations but everything was a total delight. The food was DELICIOUS (of particular note - the French Onion soup cheese, he says he makes this almost every time) and was a great way to experience the various wines (I think he served us 11 different in the end). Amazing and HIGHLY recommend!!!

Atmosphere was upperclass but simultaneously casual. The food was delicious, but small portions for the cost. Spent over 3 digits for 3 people and didn't even order drinks. Service was good and polite, slow on the checking on us and filling up the water, but overall, it was a good experience. If your wallet can get away with it, definitely recommend it.
Savory restaurant and nice atmosphere. We ordered a quartet set for two of us. It costs $30. - Cheeseburger in Paradise +$2 - Salmon Sammy +$2 - Italian Sprouts - Garlic Fries Also, I ordered a glass of a local wine 'Going for broke' (Paydirt, Paso Robles) for $13. I liked aroma and smooth finishes. Salmon Savory Burger was so delicious (enough sauce, great cooked fish) Italian Sprouts were savory for me. It was firm and had an interesting interpretation of cheese and bacon in it. Garlic Fries was delicious and had a persistent smell of garlic. The staff was polite and fast enough. Thanks!
TASTE is a brilliant addition to Paso Robles, right at the heart of the central park. TASTE nails the balance of great food, appropriate portions (I'll explain in a bit), friendly service and chic & progressive atmosphere. One of the issues with comfort food is that portions are big and typically you cannot enjoy a variety. TASTE resolves this dilemma by having a vast selection of "slider" sizes where you can put together a Duet, Triplet or Quartet of your choices. The selections span from classic sliders to salads to gourmet burgers to mac n cheese. A true variety. Thus you can patch together a dish you want with appropriate portions really easily at a reasonable price. Now typically, when you do these types of collage or build-your-own-plate, the individual consitutents of the dish suffers. Not at TASTE. Each and every one of the components you choose is done to their unique perfection, whether it is a gouda-dunked cheese burger or a cobb salad rich with crumbled cheese or a brilliant salmon slider. Again, none of these individual dishes are skimped upon and could be presented individually and still hold its ground. Of course, when they are put together, it comes together in a beautiful presentation. Again, the food is awesome. Now speaking about presentation, the joint has a progressive and modern feel, but definitely hinted with classical suede and decor. It's a bit of a mix-n-match but it somehow works. And the plates are presented beautifully. The baked brie was just out of this world. And then cheesecake with lavender cream was perhaps one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. And you marry this altogether with a great selection of brews and wines and you have a 5-star restaurant. Simply great value. My family had a fabulous time. If you are in Paso Robles, this is the place to be. Be prepared to stand in line if you haven't reserved ahead. So happy I found this place and we'll absolutely return whenever we swing by.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with the friendly, smiling, hostess, who sat us right away. Short time later, Server appeared obtained our drink order and returned fairly quickly. I specifically asked for my prime rib to be grilled and blackened. The chef was able to accommodate that request. He even went further and added roasted garlic, and mushrooms. My meat was cooked to perfection. By grilling at the fat had been rendered which melted into the meat and added that much more flavor. You’ve heard the phrase I could cut it with a fork and that would be fitting for this. Before you’re entrée comes they serve up a bowl of their house beans which are really pretty good. Little spicy side enough to hold you over till your food arrives. All in all I can say, Server was very professional and friendly. She checked on us several times to see if we dated anything. I don’t live in this area but the next time I pass through I will definitely visit this Cool Hand Luke’s
I love the strawberry lemonade but the chicken fried steak had zero flavor, the mashed potatoes were lacking something and even the corn wasn’t good. I spent $25 on a meal that tasted as if it came out of a freezer and microwaved. Super disappointed and most likely won’t be back. However, service was nice.
Saw online and try it out. Waiter was friendly and knew his products. Alcohol drinks that I tried need it more boost but it taste good. Little burn on medium steak but it was tender and tasty. Rib was tender and sauce is just right amount. Dessert was huge and good to share. I will be coming back

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The food and service are both off the charts. Reservations required and recommend booking well in advance. The wine list is impeccable and expansive, and Marc the host is incredibly knowledgeable with recommendations based on food ordered. The escargot and oysters were great on our last visit, as were the peach Melba and rice pudding desserts. Dinner specials rotate and haven't had a bad one yet.
Traditional french bistro. Boulliabase lunch had a nice broth, salmon, mussels, and vegetables in it. Servers were attentive and managed our large multi-table group well. Parking was free immediately outside around the town square. Good wine list and shop/club immediately next door. Call for reservations.
Our second visit here was as good as the first. We enjoyed our first visit on the patio but it was a little warm for Al fresco dining this time. But the dining room is a great space, full of fun French aperitif and theatre posters and wooden wine crate panels. I totally forgot to photograph our dishes, but we had a great dinner of escargot, mussels, hanger steak with red wine sauce, and frites.

We got to this place last minute, they were nice to accommodate our big group, the service and attitude of the server was great but the food was very average, it lacked the flavor , the very basic mango salad was made out of literally raw mangoes , with too much cabbage,it was so bad , the rest of the food was the same . Definitely not going back ……
We had a great meal and the service was fantastic. The pineapple fried rice was delicious and the coconut crème brûlée was equally as good. The presentation of both was unique and added to it being a memorable meal.
Nice Thai food restaurant. Staff were pleasant and friendly. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, Panang curry with chicken and Green curry with chicken. The flavors were typical for a a Thai restaurant and appropriately spiced consistent with our request. The place got busy and we were handed our check and told there was no hurry but we were not asked if we wanted dessert. Overall a good meal.

We were lucky to get a table at this restaurant for ThanksGiving lunch when every other restaurant in town was closed. Staff were super nice and attentive and made everyone feel welcome despite having to work on Thanksgiving. The food itself was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. Good mix of vegetarian, fish and meat dishes. They sell some pretty good cakes too. Definitely good value for money. Dog friendly tables on the patio out front.
This is a great spot to eat in downtown Paso Robles. I went with family, took it to go, we all had different dishes, everyone was happy with the food. The servings are generous portions and reasonably priced. The three olive pasta was so frikken good, loved it. It's a casual spot, order at the counter or call in your order. Don't dress up to eat here. The service was good. Downtown is very busy, parking can be challenging.
Great place to catch a healthy lunch or dinner. We are staying at Paso Robles RV Ranch and this restaurant was recommended by the staff. The first time I ate here, I ordered the chicken salad, which was big enough to take home for another meal. My husband had a cheese burger. Both were excellent. (Pics below) We liked it so much that we came back again for lunch. I ordered the chicken stir fry and my hubby pastrami sandwich and a Greek salad on the side. Both were great but honestly, I could have eaten the Greek Salad as my meal. So good. (Sorry, no pics of our second meal.) Highly recommend. There is no table service and you order at the window.

Pasta pappardelle with wild boar was delicious. Ribeye+filet steaks and seafood were properly prepared and at the right temp as ordered. Service/waiter was on point, attentive, efficient, and great. Dining room is cozy and the atmosphere + ambiance makes for a special nice adult evening out. Whiskey old fashioned cocktail was well prepared by the bartender. Highly recommend the Grilled Octopus appetizer.
The food was amazing here, so much flavor!!! A very busy restaurant which is always a good sign. We sat at the bar (because we didn't have a reservation) and the Bartender was wonderful in her conversation, recommendations on food and drink, spot on. We had a lovely evening and could be happier!! Thank you!!!
Great Italian restaurant! The atmosphere was lovely, we sat outside and it was perfect to dine al fresco. The food was really delicious! The pastas were to die for! The two fish dishes we tried were perfectly cooked. The salad was delicious, the octopus and scallop dishes were amazing. Not pictured was the pana cotta that was the perfect way to end the meal. Would totally come back!

This was such a great place! Friendly service. We sat outside with a heater and we're not cold at all. Food came out quickly and was delicious. We had the curried deviled eggs, veggie lasagna and corn risotto and banana brulee split. All delicious!
Cocktails were amazing!!! 777, the Christmas cookie thingy and Sydney’s(?) apple cider marg martini were all off the charts. Then came bone marrow, duck pasta and vegan lasagna (we’re total carnivores) but that lasagna was amazing!!!!! (So were the other dishes!!!). Service was over the top late evening at the bar (the restaurant was full with people filling in behind us when we arrived at 850pm on monday night…), so we sat at the bar and was a great experience with great service even though the bar was slammed!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!! Their execution out does they’re appropriate name!!!
Extremely overhyped. We came from the East Coast and overestimated the jet lag a bit, so I called ahead to ask if we could cancel our 9:30pm reservation. I was told that they had turned down other reservations to accommodate our table, and if we canceled, would be charged $10 per head. We decided to tough it out and have a nightcap. When we arrived, we were greeted by a roped off door and asked to wait outside while they prepared our table (outside, 45 degrees). Once inside - the place was basically empty. The server was pleasant, no complaints there, but the cocktails were overly complicated, used cheap mixers & liqueurs, had ridiculous presentations, and priced far too high. Just avoid it and have a nice glass of wine somewhere - because that’s why you’ve come to Paso, right? To the bar, a few suggestions - simplify the drinks, use quality ingredients, and drop the pretentious attitude.

Fresh and tasty seafood at this local restaurant located in the heart of Paso Robles close to shops and theater. It has extensive menu and daily catch specials. Reservations for parties of 4 or more are recommended as it is not too big with seating for approximately 45 people. The counter is the spot to sit if you are a couple or dining by yourself as you have front row view of all the cooking activities. The staff is friendly but quite stretched and busy at peak hours.
Incredible experience at Catch. It was recommended by our tour guide at Eberle Vineyard and we are so glad we went and sat at the bar. All around 5 star experience. Highly recommend.
Best seafood in town! The staff is wonderfully attentive. The food is always amazing and consistent. They offer a great selection of local wine. The chefs are the best! And if you're seated at the bar you can watch as they make the tastiest edible creations. SO DELICIOUS! We're locals and this is our favorite spot. The halibut florentine is a must or blackened halibut too!

Whenever we are in Paso, we try to dine at Thomas Hill and wine taste at J Dusi between our bike rides. We dropped in two nights before Thanksgiving without a reservation and they provided a warm welcome and seating for two. We had their delicious wild salmon, crab cakes, and the kale lemon Cesar salad (delicious little croutons). Our server, Austin, was exceptional informative of the menu and even suggested tasting the wine we ordered before committing to a full glass. Love a bit of history with signatures of the Daou brothers on their black board. Another memorable meal at Thomas Hill!
Great spot with phenomenal service. Our waiter was fantastic and the bartender brought us champagne for our anniversary. The dishes had a lot going on but the overall flavors were great.
As a Paso Robles local, Thomas Hill is EASILY one the best restaurants in town. Jack the server has excellent wine picks & the head chef was also super friendly. Definitely bringing friends and family here when we want to show them a great restaurant with awesome service & ambiance. Everything we order is excellent - I'm a big fan of the Mushroom Toast they do
