Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Olds – 2024

We had lunch at YNTHakka and were amazed by the overall experience. Its such a clean place the decoration is very good the food is the best. We had an awesome experience and is planning to go there again.

Honestly amazing. I have been wanting Nepali food (specifically chicken momo) for a long time but there are very few restaurants even in Calgary. This place exceeded my expectations. We had the chicken momo and then had to order another it was so good (my photo only shows half of the plate, we ate it so fast!). The wonton soup was unreal (was the soup of the day). Service was the best. Highly highly recommend, can't wait to try more of their menu.

To tell you, the truth place isn't set up to be a restaurant went in there. I asked for a regular coffee and got some French vanilla. Then I asked for sugar, and they had none, so we ended up not having anything to eat there because it's an Asian restaurant that doesn't have an Asian person cooking the Asian food. Sell red flags Mind you, how they have it set up is very nice inside, but that's about it. I think the best thing about the place was leaving.

Great food! Great service! Great live entertainment! We had a ton of fun celebrating a birthday. Anyone looking for an evening out in Olds, AB should definitely stop in at Tracks Pub! svh

Our cousin Kenzie was singing there. We went and enjoyed the show. The food was excellent and the waitress was extremely helpful. We will come again!!

Nice bar but the service was terrible. Been Watching the football and we have not seen our waitress in over 30 minutes. Only 5 tables ate busy in the whole place.

Always go to this place if you want a big plate of food they are open during the day & not closed from 2pm to 4 pm in the mid day. You just walk in & can have your order ready in less than 15 minutes . …

Absolutely fantastic Chinese food!!! Many people enjoy the buffet, which is obvious when we are in the restaurant. We prefer to order from the menu, and it is always spectacular—the best Chinese food we have ever had, bar none. You will not be disappointed. Ginger Chicken, Palace Chicken, and Black Bean are always wonderful! The spring rolls are definitely the best I have had anywhere in the world.

Spent my entire life coming here Sunday mornings. Boy how Canada has changed. Servers are the same. Fantastic. Absolutely. But 58$ for 2 adults and a 3 year old with a coffee and a chocolate milk to drink. Feels like I could have done better at home is all. Feels great till you get the bill. Prayers times change soon.

Fabulous brunch buffet and it was busy but not crazy. Really enjoyed the variety of options. We had a really nice waitress who was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to future visits!

I think the service with the waitresses there is fantastic. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is the best. Would highly recommend it. And Saturday buffet is excellent.

The Pit is THE BEST place!!!!! The food and service is AMAZING! Authentic BBQ! The Burnt End sandwich and homemade fries are to die for and the Smokin' Peach salad was unbelievable! Now they serve breakfast... My life is complete! Keep up the wonderful work!

Amazing food and friendly staff! The fries are home made and delicious, the pulled pork is amazing, and the beans are incredible. The portions are very generous. I highly recommend The Pit! I only got a photo of the poutine before we started eating, as I hadn't planned on reviewing beforehand. My boyfriend is already planning our next trip back.

I've only been able to come here a couple of times, but definitely worth the trip! The food is amazing, the service is 5 star ! And the atmosphere is just cozy and comfortable. Definitely wish there was one in red deer . You get so much fries with your sandwich , the homemade slaw with the apples is crazy good! I will be back! The burnt end sandwich is quite litterly the best thing on this earth

Place is very busy on the weekend. The service was quick though and there is plenty of parking out back. Waitress was friendly enough, the menu has a good selection for all. The food was delicious and I would definitely go back. We both had the steak,veggies and mashed potatoes but my husband added prawns to his plate. It looks like they have a pretty decent patio for summers, would love to go back next summer. Bathrooms were clean and maintained. I would recommend looking adding as a side garlic mashed potatoes though

How lucky we are to have found this place! Friendly stuff and delicious food! We got steak, and it was perfect!! The best steak we ever had before. And mushroom soup… It was very delicious! Especially with theirs homemade bread… 100/10 Sitting at the table you can see the kitchen, and they also have a lot of TV! Polite waitresses who love their job are the key to a good place. If you're heading home after golf, this is a great place to have dinner! Thank you guys for a great service! We will come back for sure:)

Great place for lunch with friends and a lot of variety to choose from. Everyone was really satisfied with their meals. Ordered the mushroom soup, the Mediterranean wrap, the Montreal smoked sandwich and a burger. All the options were great with good seasoning and sides. Very filling. Highly recommend the Montreal smoked meat sandwich.

Great value for money. $13 for an all-you-can-eat meal including hot meals, salads, burgers, grilled cheese, unlimited pop and juice, coffee, tea, milk… I mean honestly, no where else in town will you have this kind of line up for the price.

On my first visit to Blue Grill in Olds, AB, I was drawn in by the numerous positive reviews. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and outstanding service left a lasting impression. Opting for the fettuccine Alfredo proved to be a satisfying choice, and the Salmon Neptune was a standout dish. The Caesar salad added to the overall delightful experience. I highly endorse this restaurant, and it's no wonder it has garnered so many positive reviews.

Overall, I can't recommend Blue Grill enough. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again. Whether you're a foodie looking for culinary delights or just want a special night out, this restaurant delivers in every aspect. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu soon!

Went here last night for date night and was disappointed. There was a lot of potential for sure. The atmosphere was definitely enjoyable and our server was nice. But our Crazy Bread appetizer for $12.50 was nothing more than a glorified half loaf of garlic bread with cheese on it and it wasn't even cut for us to eat. We had to cut it at table ourselves. We nearly left after that but decided to give the rest of the experience a chance. I ordered the 8oz Farmers burger which was served to me without an egg on it as well as had other toppings on it that weren't listed on the menu. My husband's pork chop was over cooked and his potato was most definitely not fresh. On top of that, the menu is riddled with spelling mistakes including "wight sauce". Needless to say we unfortunately won't be back.

Worst food we've ever had! We ordered for pickup. Combo Vermicelli was more like a salad, barely any meat, salt n pepper squid was so tough we couldn't eat it and had no flavor, and salt n pepper prawns were mushy. Never again!

the good reviews are confusing, maybe they just have two chefs, ones great and one sucks? because my order looked like prison food and gave me the shits for two days. maybe its a take out VS in house thing.

The service was really good. Fast. Delicious. We were a table of 10 and they were very accommodating. The food was fast and hot. Huge portions. We ordered a dinner for 6 and it was enough for us all!

I am usually working as a DJ within the Pomeroy when I stop in, but I had the chance to sit and enjoy myself today. The Mango Down is the best beer I’ve ever had on tap, the Bruschetta turned out incredible & both Liteasha & Lindsay never fail to put a smile on my face with their kindness and amazing service. I believe this is a hidden gem & I couldn’t recommend it enough!

First time at Just Jacks and we will be back. Aman is a great server, goes above and beyond for you, pays great attention to your order and super nice. The food was great. We got the loaded potato skins and substituted the sour cream for the beer and cheese dip, I would highly reccomend to do the same, was absolutely delicious. Peach and beet salad was very flavourful and fresh. Steak and shrimp was cooked just right and the fried potatoes were delicious (add beer and cheese dip made even better ;) ) Thank you for the great experience, we will be back soon.

Customer service was excellent. My 8 year old boy was ordering and they were patient and made his box so tasty! It just became his best place to go. They have a daily special B box. Like on the picture. Makes easier for mom's to deal with boys.

I was here for the Grit show on the weekend and it was such a blast. The service was a little poor and we waited more than an hour for our food. When we ordered, the venue wasn't full yet either. I did see people who ordered AFTER me, also receive their food BEFORE me. I was told that they were short staffed in the kitchen. Once we DID get our food though, it was the best damn burger I have had in literal ages. But the wait definitely was long. It was also a pretty packed house by the end of it. All in all, I give them a 4 out of 5. If I was the owner/manager there and I had orders stacked on a short staff, I would absolutely be back there helping cook and stuff on top of maintaining the venue and it's patrons. But I would 100% come back to this place. It has a nice atmosphere and the food, again, was absolutely amazing!

Small town dive bar if that is what you are looking for. Went on wing Wednesday, which is a good deal price wise. But the wing flavours are pretty average. Their "hottest we have" wings were a medium at best. Sour cream and onion tasted like the simply had kernels pop corn flavour on them. Taco wings again sprinkled in old elpaso taco seasoning. One flavour was on the saucy side of the menu but came out dry, and there were 2 others we tried that it seemed like it was just off the shelf seasoning sprinkled ontop. Service was average. They weren't busy but we still had to wait a bit for drinks, food, and I had to go up to ask for the bill a second time when we were ready to leave.

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The owner and Chef, Chef David came to greet us and check in on us throughout the meal. They started us off with a few complementary tasters that were of Michelin star quality. Main courses and dessert did not disappoint. Highly recommended will come back. When I stumble across a hidden gem like this, I feel thankful. Very kid friendly as well.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Definitely worth the drive. Order the scallops, order the steak, and order the mussels! Actually just order everything you won’t go wrong. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience. I can’t wait to come back!

Didn’t expect such a high standard of restaurant in this small town of Olds. Good atmosphere with romantic music, perfect for our birthday celebration. Chef David came out later and shared his life experience with us as well! 67 years old and still has great passions for cooking and food. Forgot to take pictures as we enjoyed the food very much. Feel lucky to have run into this great restaurant!

I highly recommend eating here if you’re in Olds. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is delightful- we ordered a roll of mango tempura, udon, poke bowl and the fried chicken! Delicious!

Very yummy sushi. Wide variety of rolls to choose from and the tempura veggies had squash. I was really impressed. The waitess was very nice and incredibly patient. There was a language barrier between our table and the waitress, but with some help from google pics to describe what we were wanting it all got sorted it out.

Refusing a customer order, even if you have only 10 minutes left before closing, is a significant error in customer service. Small businesses often rely on repeat customers and positive word-of-mouth, and turning away a customer can harm that relationship. I’m passionate about supporting small businesses, but it’s disheartening when they don’t extend the same level of support or flexibility when customers are trying to make a purchase, especially at the end of the day.

Booze is cheap food is good. There are 3 pool tables a juke box and punching bag to keep everyone busy. Lots of seating.

The service and food were really great. The fried chicken sandwich and steak were amazing. The only issue to me is that I need fresh ground pepper and there is a slight cigarette scent in the building. Super friendly staff.

Tuna poke bowl was very good. Fresh ingredients with good flavour. Interesting menu with good choices (including smaller size portions of main meals which I thought a great touch). Wine quality/choice not to my liking and let down the experience . However, a great selection of local ales for the beer drinkers. Very good, friendly service.

The Hipster Burger was So so so Delish and with a choice of Dill Dip with the fries was the best !! For Dessert I had the Apple Crisp and all i can say is that was some amazing apple crisp and its been so long since ive had some.

The food was amazing. The service was amazing the nicest man helped us and was so patient. the food was so good. It was such a great experience. We loved everything that we had and we cannot wait to come back more and tell more people about it if you really want some good in the food this is the place to be. The butter chicken was so good I had to bring some home to.

Visited this place en route to Calgary. I didn't expect this place to be this huge. Jazz was amazing, he was prompt, courteous and made sure we enjoyed the food. He asked for our spice level preference and got us exactly what we asked for. The portion size was good and fresh. I definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to try Indian delicacies.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and was very impressed with the service and food. Staff was very friendly and took care of all my dietary restrictions. I absolutely loved their chilli garlic crisp cauliflower. As the name suggests, it was very crispy. Hakka noodles were also spot on. Dal makhni and rice reminded me of India. I finished the meal with their in house kulfi and it was as delicious as the other things I ordered. I will definitely come back to try out more things on the menu.

The Staff was amazing, super attentive & friendly. I had Oscars Sirloin Lobster, whipped garlic potatoes & house veggies. The steak, potatoes & veggies were delicious. The only disappointment was the lobster/seafood hollandaise sauce, which was not hot & has seafood in it. I will definitely return for another meal.

Our server, Grace, was friendly and helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. The food was amazing. The sirloin steak (medium cooked) was prepared perfectly. The shrimp were lightly breaded and were an excellent complement to the tender steak. So many good things to say. What a great way to spend our anniversary! We’ll be back.

I tried the chicken Donair combo for the first time tonight. Wow, it was delicious! Very Authentic. I just moved to Alberta from Ontario and I worked part time at a Greek restaurant for about 10 years… This will be my go to spot. Can’t wait to try more off the menu.

Some of the most authentic Greek food I have ever had. Down to the fries in the donair. As a repeat customer I am astonished by the quality of food and the high grade meat. I took my food to go, it was ready on time. It was my first time eating at Mad Greek, I thought it was very tasty. I got a donair with donair meat and Greek salad, lot of toppings and great tzatziki sauce!
