Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Norristown – 2024

Orders via Service line counter. Meals were generous portions. Dinner in Seating area was nice. Server was very helpful as it was our first time here. We had platters with pork and roast beef each with sides of rice, salads and plantains.

These guys apparently can't properly read. I ordered Cheese Pastelitos and ended up getting Cheese and Guava, and I am allergic. I didn't get my Morir Sonando, and the food was cold and hard. These guys make us Dominicans look lazy and talentless.

What kind of avocado salad is this??? It’s supposed to have onions and tomatoes, it’s even in your description. I had to edit to add, it’s so nasty

Cynthia has superb customer service. It was my first time trying the restaurant and I drove fom Philly. We order a chicken family meal. Thanks for making a price friendly section on your menu for families. Like no seriously! I was delighted by the taste and portions, but her friendliness and great customer service was what sold me. There are a handful of spots with good food, but not everywhere has good food a customer service. I am happy to support this sister and so should you. You won't be disappointed. She even through in popsicles for my son. Thank you. We shall return.

First time trying. The food was subpar at best…they forgot my yams :( the fish and the chicken were dry. The green beans were okay. Mac n cheese was what you’d expect. Really wanted to try the collard greens but I understood that they had run out of them. I think the most disappointing thing was that I found several small bones in my fish :( I’m not gonna say I don’t recommend this place because to each their own. I encourage those to try it for themselves, but this is just my opinion.

Was skeptical to order off door dash but it’s banging fire 10/10 .. Mac greens fish was good! And delivered hot. just wish they had a option for potato salad on the app

A hidden treasure. I thought we were lost, new to the area. But my husband found this great place. The food was excellent. Great service seemed like it was a well known place to those who were there. Loved it going back. We had the meat lovers omelet with cheese and shared a huge pancake.

Found this place by accident. May have been the best home fries n bacon I've ever had. They're 45 mins away up the turnpike in Pa but worth the trip from Jersey. It's in the back of a building and kind of easy to miss so pay attention for the signs.

Very good breakfast! They are cash only and the entrance is around back! I enjoyed their sausage and home fries.

The best Mexican food I ever had!! The portions are huge and they're not Americanized. They have different kind of meats also. I could only take one photo because we started eating immediately. Definitely get the enchiladas!

La orden de flautas viene con 7 flautas!!! Deliciosas, crujientes, lo mejor!! --La mejor taquería en el area. Their tripa is crispy, savory and goes perfectly with the salsas! Salsa verde has avocado in it, not a guacamole but creamy and delicious. Salsa roja was spicy not too much, and had that spice flavor to it. We ordered tacos which were well served, with fresh onions and cilantro. Longaniza, suadero y lengua were a hit with my family. We also ordered the sopes and these are not your traditional sopes (small round) but the original from Michoacan flat, long, with beans and the meat of your choice. Topped with sour cream and salsa mmmmm can't describe the flavor. It takes me back to México!! FYI cash only! Solo efectivo!!

This place has THE BEST Mexican food in the area! Their tacos are so good and they have delicious tacos and sopes! Their staff are friendly and are very understanding!

Very good authentic Mexican restaurant! Carnitas was very delicious. It’s a family owned restaurant so the foods really do taste like home made, I do highly recommend to give this place a try. It’s totally worth the drive

Delicious carnitas, a signature dish de Michoacán. The carnitas are super flavorful and moist. The roasted flavor was so good I didn’t use the salsa.

One of the best Mexican takeout places I've tried. There are a few booth type tables for dining in, but I would call this a takeout spot. The food is terrific. This may become my favorite spot. The carnitas are the best around and flavorful. The rice has great vaor, and the beans are good too. Many carnitas choices but also some steak and chicken options. Excellent corn sides and churros.

My husband and I came in on Friday night and both ordered the Prime Rib special. Best prime rib you’ll ever have. Green beans were AMAZING as well. We love coming here for the service, amazing food, and craft beers.

I’m a plus side they have an eclectic mix of draft micro-brews and beers many of which are local .. The food is decent, but it’s very heavy greasy grub. Not a typical of your Pennsylvania dive bar environment. The service was erratic, took some time to get attention and the server lacked patience and had a set order in which he wanted to do things we wanted to order food before drinks, and this seems to Upset his rhythm, granted, there was a group there in a private room that night, but that should not disrupt my experience. The food and the drinks are not inexpensive. The place is often very busy and seems to be a local. However, I would not go often just screwdriver I didn’t touch it.

My husband, son and I went to Capone’s for the first time and we all absolutely loved it. We went for dinner and had 2 appetizers, 3 meals and 2 desserts. Everything was Awesome.. They are very reasonably priced also. The servers were extremely nice too. Definitely recommend trying it to anyone who has not been there!!!!!

Our favorite El Limon in the area. Food is delicious with generous portions. Staff is slim, but efficient. Usually one server doing constant take out orders, working the front desk and waiting on tables. Surprised how quick the kitchen and server work together to get your food out in little time. This place is our go to.

My husband and I love this specific location. The service is always nice, the food is amazing and the music and atmosphere are great. We go very often. The value for the food is good as well.

I am a bit behind on posts … sorry about that … on Friday evening my Bestie Tara and I decided on trying one of the dozens of Mexican Restaurants in Norristown PA … we selected Taqueria La Michoacana … it was a traditional At most which was lovely … the wait staff were very attentive and did not communicate well in English … that’s okay because we do not communicate well in Spanish … time to learn … I ordered Beef Tostadas while Tara had Burritos in a Green Sauce with Refried Beans … I am not a Mexican Food expert by any stretch of the imagination … what I can say with 100% certainty is that the Tostadas I had were delicious … so very tasty … Tara loved her meal too … I don’t have a photo of the Flan I took home with me … it was fabulous … I definitely recommend this restaurant and give it 5 stars … LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE … #mexicancuisine #mexicanrestaurant #tostadas #CancerFree2024 #REMISSIONISTHEGOAL #EyeOnTheFuture #LiveLoveLaughAlways #cancerwarrior #cancersurvivor #diningout

My daughter treated myself and a friend of hers to lunch today and it is still the greatest Mexican Food in Montgomery County. I have been eating here since my now 18yr old daughter, the same one who treated me to lunch today, was being baked in my belly on Chalupas at least twice a week. I highly recommend anyone looking for authentic Mexican food head here ASAP

Lots of delicious food for very good prices!! The complimentary chips and 3 salsas was a delightful way to start off the meal. The spicy salsa was probably my favorite one. The actual meal brought a nice amount of Mexican rice which was very good and refried beans that I would enjoy everyday. The birria quesadillas were super flavorful and grilled to perfection. The consomé added that extra kick to the quesadillas and adding the spicy salsa brought it all together well. The service was a little slower than anticipated with the amount of customers in there but very friendly waiters.

I recently dined at Rancho Dominican Restaurant twice and had a mixed experience. The food presentation was impressive, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. However, I did find that some dishes were a bit too salty for my taste, which was disappointing given the otherwise high quality of the food. While there were standout items, the inconsistency in seasoning was a letdown. Overall, I would say my experience was okay. The restaurant has great potential, and I would be willing to give it another shot in hopes of finding more balanced flavors

It’s a little restaurant more meant for take out then Dine-In but the food is amazing. The authenticity of this great Spanish cuisine is solidified by its servers who speak Spanish and English. This is a Gem right in the heart of Norristown. Must try the potato salad yellow rice and beans and there baked chicken.

Little gem with a food rating of 8/10 I was in the Norristown neighborhood and decided to stop at this Dominican food spot. The rice was nice, grainy, soft and tasty; the salad had a simple yet tasty home style vinaigrette. Beans were watery and not very soft and the chicken had a good flavor but it was a little bland Besides that an amazing place. Good atmosphere and good customer service.

Placed a omelette platter order and asked for no onions. the cashier literally wrote it down on her pads , After 30 mins wait I still Got the omelette with onions and home fries with onions and specifically asked for no onions. She responded with “ OHH nooo “ & when I asked to remake the order she refund my money and got very rude. Waste of time !! If the chef messed up why take it out on me and treat me with such disrespect. In addition Coffee is trash taste very burnt.

so I went for the first time because I had a taste for this food. Anyone who gave them a bad review are out of their mind. The food was amazing. I ordered two chicken and lamb with the rice and then one order of chicken with the rice, everything was amazing. The price was great And the portion size was even better. Cant Complain at all. Drove 30 minutes, but it was definitely worth the drive. I will most definitely be coming back to get food from this truck.

We just moved to PA from NYC where Halal trucks is a very common thing but let me tell you - this one is so far the best I’ve ever tried! I ordered chicken over rice and it was soooooo good. Very flavorful, A LOT of chicken cooked to perfection, and the rice is yummy too. Just perfect. The price is less than what you would have to pay in any restaurant, and the portion is big enough to feed two people. Don’t skip their white sauce and ask them for red one too if you like it extra spicy.

I don't typically find myself in this area. A new acquaintance and I were walking towards this place headed to a deli for lunch. The smell of this place stopped us in our tracks. The woman I was with said every time she drives past this place they always have a line. That knowledge coupled with the smell made us switch plans and we were NOT disappointed. We had no clue what the sauces were but had watched many others happily take them. I got chicken over rice with the white sauce with light red sauce. This was by far the best $10 I've spent on lunch. So much food and everything was fresh and tasted amazing! Definitely recommend! They only accept CashApp or Cash though. That's probably the only negative thing. I covered her lunch so she didn't have to cancel her order and she could finally try their food. It was worth it for both of us.

Best Breakfast Sandwich In Town!!! Order a a special sandwhich to go, Super Good made perfectly better then expected. Always good no matter what I order especially fries!

The food here is great. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. The homemade lemonade is truly homemade and delicious. I love the regular lemonade but they have other flavors as well. The homemade ice tea will keep you coming back too. I can also recommend the chicken cheesesteak, fries, burgers, French toast, and Turkey bacon breakfast platter. Great customer service every time. Fast, friendly, and clean.

Great local ‘hole in the wall’ spot with great food and friendly service. I still will travel from out of town to come grab breakfast or lunch for a delicious and inexpensive bite.

100% the best real Italian sub. All real Italian meats with olive oil and like a bruchetta spread and a shooter. Ong so good. Old couple still owns it and reopens next month.

My favorite Italian place. Chef Dennis is an amazing cook and very friendly. He can make you anything you want if it's not on the menu. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

Best linguine with a clam sauce Pasta is excellent

We love Thai food, and they even had an entire vegetarian section on their menu. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was great. The inside was beautifully decorated as well, making for a nice atmosphere. So happy to have discovered this place.

If you would like to have a good Thai food around Norristown area, this is a the place to try. I have been visiting this restaurant back in when they were at previous location near Eagleville. We visited on a Friday afternoon. It is not quite busy as we anticipated it to be ,being a friday. It could be due to lot of corporates working in hybrid model these days. But,I suggest to reserve just to save some time. Certainly,great great ambience and great food with nice serving staff. We opted for their lunch combo. The starters coconut soup and house salad are simply superb. Although they do not have Basil fried rice in combo,we upgraded it by paying 2 more dollars. It is absolutely worth the upgrade . The fried rice is very tasty and spicy. They are in the area for a longTime and serving lunch combo for years. I definitely noticed that their menu become little pricy over the period. Just a heads-up in that regard.!! But, worth visiting…..

Wow! Don’t let the exterior in this unassuming shopping center fool you; inside this restaurant is a cozy oasis with excellent service and delicious food! The host seated us immediately at 5 PM on a Saturday even without a reservation, though the place filled quickly. We started with the curry puffs at the server’s suggestion and they were wonderful — very flavorful and a good-sized portion of three. I chose the fancy duck instead of the duck special, again at the server’s suggestion, paired with plum sauce, and enjoyed a generous portion of half a duck with crispy skin and flavorful meat, and crunchy vegetables. Truth be told, the plum sauce was sweeter than I like, but not cloying. Hubs went for his standby, masamun curry, and found it delicious if heavy on the potatoes. We will definitely return! The food was tasty and the restaurant was clean, but the wonderful staff were the real star of this show!

The food is delicious and the portions large. The place is run by a friendly Mexican family. The food is authentic. The facilities, including restrooms, are clean. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I really enjoy eating here.

We got the breaded chicken torta and it was very dry and hard to eat and the chips in the super nachos were very stale and inedible. The waitress was nice but thats all the positive i can say. We did not get our money's worth for this visit. Also the cooks did not wash their hands coming back from break.

Inconsistent is probably the best word to describe this place. Received burnt/old onion rings and chicken fingers clearly there’s no quality control or they just simply don’t care. Have enjoyed Stromboli from here and a slice but the few times we’ve gotten onion rings and fingers it’s been the same not sure if they’re leftover and reheated or what. Would eat Stromboli again from here but that’s probably it.

hands down, Paradise Pizza should be a 5 star rated restaurant. They have amazing pies with perfect balance between ingredients. I highly recommend their grandma's slice, plain, and more - like their white pizza! They offer fountain and bottled beverages and they are BYOB! They accept reservations and walk-ins. They are ada compliant and exist on one level. They do not deliver. They do accept card and cash. definitely make sure to try them out. Their staff is friend and their menu is delicious.

Update: Feels like things have improved. The last couple visits have shown this. The slice ready pies feature some creative options in addition to the usual suspects. The Spicy Sicilian is a hit and the White Pie is consistently good. Oh...the Garlic Knots are Rockin. The dining room needs a deep cleaning and some repairs including light bulbs replaced and windows need regular cleaning. Adequate food and adequate service. There are several others within a mile that do better.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this Chinese restaurant! We chose to dine in, and the service was incredibly fast and friendly from start to finish. Our food arrived fresh, hot, and tasted amazing. Every dish was full of flavor, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was so busy but everyone was so nice and accommodating. The soup was hot and the noodles delicious. Even though we were told there would be a wait, we had tea and got complimentary fried wontons and duck sauce. We also had ice cream on the house! Highly recommend!

Traveling from upstate NY with a teen who really wanted Chinese food. Saw great Google and Yelp reviews for China Wok and we were thoroughly impressed. Incredibly friendly staff from stepping through the door. Amazing menu options. We had scallion pancakes, shrimp mei fun and two of the Gen Tso’s combos. Portions were generous and prices were very fair. The good was delicious! Every bite…which is why the food photos are of half eaten meals (sorry). Our hats off to the chefs for being so talented. And to the wait staff and owner for being so kind and attentive.

We stopped here one day during our visit home. I miss my PA breakfast options. This place has been numerous restaurants in the past 20 years. But clearly, you can tell it was built as a Pizza Hut. The indoor decor is in need of a major refresh. However, the food was great. We had breakfast, of course. This time, I went for the pork roll. They were 2 nicely thick slices. The prices were great for the food. The place had a good crowd of people.

We like this place. Our family enjoys breakfast together. What's nice is that we can get breakfast items or salads or lunch items. The variety is wonderful. Service is attentive and friendly. You are always greeted.

Excellent service! Super attentive staff and very welcoming. Our food arrived super quick not even 10 minutes of waiting. Some of the items needed more seasoning for sure but it was great portions. Wish there was a bit more seasoning and more size to the biscuits in the biscuits and gravy. The side of home fries were nicely cooked and buttery. The sausage links were probably some of the best thought. Very juicy and crispy enough to get a nice bite.
