Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in New Braunfels – 2024

When rating restaurants, there are 3 criteria. Food, Service and Cleanliness (Google has it as Atmosphere) So if all 3 are as expected, or par for the course, I will rate the restaurant 4 Stars. If one of them is below, the other 2 need to be above to pick up the slack. That is my standard. Food was good. I had the gumbo it was better than expected. Wife had a salad and there was some brown lettuce, just a little, nothing to complain about. Service was probably 4+. The wait staff though all pretty young, were sharp and personable. I loved the atmosphere and they had a sandbox for the kids to play in. Interesting choice for a restaurant for kids to get dirty and then eat but the grandson didn't care! Haha. Overall, we'll definitely eat here again

Decided to stop here for lunch after driving in from Corpus Christi. I got the cheese Willie burger, husband got the brisket baked potato. We started with chips, queso and salsa. Everything was very bland. The queso was your basic yellow liquid cheese product from a can with a few tomato chunks in it. Salsa was just blah. My burger was cooked well, but again, hardly any flavor. My husband's potato was like pot roast style meat instead of brisket. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff? Idk. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. Staff was polite and attentive. Guy who took our order at the front counter, was super cheerful. So much seating inside and out and very breezy, it was nice. Family friendly but a bar area too for adults so that's cool. I'm not sure why all the rave reviews about the food bc ours was just not great. Overall, I give it a C+ but only bc of the food. Other than that, the vibe and cleanliness are .

Typical icehouse atmosphere. Great layout and bar area. We always enjoy Willie's. Hubs had the patty melt - he only complaint was, the use of texas toast made for a sandwich with a lot of bread! We are sure that there are others who would enjoy it. The mac and cheese was yummy and the onion rings never disappoint. I tried the fried chicken tacos for the first time and they were so big, I could not eat the second one. Hubs got iced tea and was disappointed. I have always known that they need to improve their iced tea and so I ordered lemonade. The iced tea they use is too bitter.

First, our server Jordyn was excellent, well trained and very informative! The managers were on their game and greeted everyone. Food was excellent, beer was cold, salad was perfectly chilled, steak was well seasoned and cooked. The chicken was perfect. The soup could have been hotter but still delicious. Really nice large bar and nice outside seating with adult game space! Welcome to New Braunfels! We will be back!

Server Jacob did a great job taking care of our table. The manager Marcos was kind a considerate. They made our experience exceptional. I recommend coming for dinner.

I’m giving the restaurant a 5 despite a couple hiccups. They have just opened after all. Our server Trinity was fabulous, I loved my meal even though it wasn’t super warm, but my boyfriend‘s ribeye wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter. They need to update the description of the Range Rattlers. They are fried, but the menu doesn’t mention that. Two managers checked on us during our meal and when we mentioned the steak issue to our server, we were comped a free dessert because we didn’t want to send it back. We will definitely give it another try!

The burger temperature was spot on! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to restaurants that destroy my burger and dry it out. Being a burger freak, I pride myself on finding places that understand this art of cooking— highly recommend this place! They did it right. The flavors and seasonings are great as well. The truffle fries actually have a sauce that drizzles over them, making it less traditional than other restaurants, but much better! Other restaurants should follow suit. Hospitality was fantastic! Carly greeted us at the hostess stand and then Fawn took care of it as our server. Both young women that were polite and caring, knowledgeable, didn’t deflect any requests or questions. The beer they provide is from both, local and distant breweries, providing some basics and then ones that are a little more complex. A variety that I enjoy. My mother and I split a burger due to having dinner plans in the near future but next time, we are getting our own. Highly recommend this place.

Food and drinks were the best! We got a flight and a Street Cred burger — the flavor combinations on the menu items compliment each other so well. In addition, the music and ambiance were perfect (old 2000’s when we were there). Lunch time wasn’t super crowded for being a Saturday and parking was easy. Service was incredible — I had a waitress that made sure I knew that she was new at the job, but if she wouldn’t have told me, I would’ve never guessed. She was amazing, making sure my husband and I were consistently happy with our experience. I will definitely be returning and wish they had one of these in the town I currently live in.

My husband and I were looking for something different for a late lunch while it and about, and the Muck and Fuss was it! Our waiter Damiano, was awesome. He recommended some great dishes and has such a fun presence about him. My husband and I shared the chips and queso, which were so good. Then my husband had the All American burger and Cajun fries while I enjoyed the Spicy Juicy Lucy burger and Cajun fries. Both were made to perfection and did not disappoint. Also, if you're looking for a yummy lemonade, get their pink drink. The prickly pear lemonade was just right. We'll be back!

Noah was our wonderful server. Although it was crowded tables had a good amount of space between them. We sat on the patio. It was great. Our food was delicious. The oysters, the Cajun enchiladas, the scallops and shrimp, and the chicken n waffles. A delicious meal! Thank you and kudos to Noah.

They have a big menu and the food is great; plus, the portions are huge. The atmosphere is business casual, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Also, it was my 34th birthday and they gave me a free slice of cheesecake, which was delicious. A great way to celebrate the day!

This restaurant is in an old post office renovated into a really nice restaurant! If you are looking for great food, an awesome atmosphere, and great service, you should check this place out! This is an awesome place for a special occasion or just dinner tonight! Our waitress Katelyn was absolutely fantastic! Her recommendations for food and drinks were spot on! We each tried a different fish dish. They were all fresh, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor! We all went for a special dinner (birthday's) and I would never tell anyone that it was my birthday, but my mother-in-law did. Although I was full, I tried the bread pudding, and it was wonderful! Next time we are in the area, we will be going here and asking for Katelyn as our waitress!

The place itself feels so wholesome and unique. I loved the service, we were seated immediately and they allow pets so we were able to snag some seating with shade. There was a small stage by the farmers market and lovely live music. The server was so nice and got my dog a water bowl too! She explained that the halls were lined with all of the banners with the names of the families who had originally moved from Germany to New Braunfels so that was cool. She said to check out the original cafes interior because it was the same as it was from the 50s or 60s. I had the Kartoffel poppers, pretzel with mustard and beer cheese, the apple fritters, and a beer flight! The beer flight is awesome and we got great recommendations from the server.

First time visit to Krause’s with friends. This is quite a diverse venue with large inside and outside seating areas. The atmosphere was vibrant and exciting on the evening I was there as Yesenia and the Groove Doctors were playing. We had delicious food and drinks as well. I highly recommend this venue for a fun evening out. Plenty of helpful friendly staff who check on you frequently as well.

If you know real German food, leave your expectations behind. After that, you're going to love this place. Nice covered pavilion next to a busy farmer's market, very friendly service. We were traveling with five kids and they had plenty of space to roam around without bothering anybody. They enjoy the food, and so we adults did too.

Fine dining atmosphere, however reasonable prices. Enjoyed their 'Speak Easy ' music. A variety of tasty fresh grilled Fish , Steaks & veggies . Generous portions. Spot on service & friendly staff. Comfortable patio. Great selection of wine and craft cocktails! Did not disappoint. Perfect for date night or special occasions. Recommend reservations.

An electric menu, with a good wine list They are happy to make vegetarian options vegan . I had a avocado sandwich flavorful My friend had a Vera Crux(Mexico City style ) shrimp cocktail . Some nice wine in a welcoming space the ample parking . Prompt friendly service. A patio to have a drink and wait on your table that alleviates your wait to something pleasant

If you are looking for a quaint place to have a nice meal, give this place a try. We had a good time and enjoyed the food. My only suggestion to the restaurant management…please invest some money to make the hard wood chairs more comfortable, also make the rooms a little more upscale by adding some tablecloths, this will make it more comfortable and cozy for your guests.

Excellent service, Beautiful ambiance, delicious food!! Everything from our dinning experience was amazing! Brianna our waitress was ++ in every way from her smile to the way she made sure we were satisfied with our orders! Bri, you’re Amazing! We came for dinner on a busy Saturday evening but not one item was delayed when I say we were served within minutes I do mean minutes. Appetizers: Small order of onion rings- fried and battered to perfection! Spinach /Artichoke dip- the chips melted in your mouth crisp and warm as well as he tasty dip. House salad : a big portion for 2 to share. Entree: I ordered the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy( note: request gravy on side,as they do serve heavy on the gravy.) plate is large enough for 2 to share. My husband ordered the sirloin steak( medium rare) to which he gave ✨⭐️he loved every bite! I didn’t get a picture, I got to busy enjoying mine. Looking forward to a prompt return! Thank you!

My husband opted for the fried shrimp, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to golden brown perfection, accompanied by green beans and mushrooms that were simply to die for. As for me, I chose the country club sandwich, and it did not disappoint. Packed with tender turkey, crispy bacon, and creamy avocado, it was a sandwich lover's dream. We had a nice lunch here with some friends while visiting hill country. If I had it to do again I would have ordered onion rings instead of spinach and artichoke dip (lots of onion rings coming out and they looked amazing) and chicken fried chicken instead of ribs. The ribs were good but not great. Sangria was tasty and everyone liked their grilled chicken and burgers. Armed with hindsight I will definitely return and atone for the error of my ways.

My daughter and I made our first ever visit last week. We made our second visit just 4 days later. I am in love with Clear Springs. We started off with the cheese sticks and they were the best I've ever had. I've had the grilled shrimp, and it was delicious. I also had the Chicken Fried Steak, and it too was delicious. My daughter loved her chicken strips meal as well. The service was perfect. Our server was both friendly and prompt. This may be my favorite restaurant in New Braunfels.

We had the onion rings. Incredible. Also my wife had the blackened mahi mahi special and it was incredible. I had the small catfish dinner and it fed me well! We had the peach cobbler and banana pudding for dessert. Fantastic. This place was worth the drive from San Antonio!!

Great food! The onion rings are fantastic! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We all had a variety of meals, and each was superb!

This place is the real deal. The best German favorites that you can get. Set in a historic building, the restaurant is cozy and inviting. The service is top-notch and you can tell the people working there love the work they do. The food is amazing and authentic and you will leave full! You can expect to pay $30-$40 per person. They also have a great selection of German beers and Wines if that's your thing. TL:DR Don't miss this one if you want the best authentic German food in a cozy environment.

I've never had a bad meal here, the food is delicious. Even when they were out of what I wanted, (which also means the food is fresh all the time) the other entrée that I had was just as good. This is the best german food I know of.

My wife and I had dinner here today, really delicious food. Our schnitzels were amazing. The Rahm Jaeger was to die for. The spaetzle and red cabbage was so good. So was the mushroom soup. We will be coming back!!
