My wife and I stopped in for a bite before the Christmas parade. We started with some Christmas cheer, homemade eggnog and Mele Kalikimaka(mai-tai). For our meal we ordered the meatballs, fried cheese and spanakopita. The meatballs are Greek not Italian and are the best we've had at any restaurant, Greek or Italian. The fried cheese was fantastic and the spanakopiya was good as well. We will definitely be back.
Met my daughter here for a Friday night with the fam. The atmosphere was perfect...singer was great for live music...the street it was on was inviting and unexpected coming from Atlanta. The waitress suggested my dish and it was truly unbelievable...think of a filo stuffed with delishishness (not a word I know). All the dishes were so tasty. Perfect spot for a date night, special night out or just a night out with friends with a cool vibe.
Wow! This place exceeded all expectations. The service was outstanding. The Figgy Sour was crisp and refreshing. I had the chef special which included Springer Mtn Airline Chicken and the most delicious creamed spinach I have ever had! Highly highly recommend this dish! It did not disappoint. Chicken was cooked perfectly and super juicy. Great atmosphere…cozy yet sophisticated and charming. Perfect for a girls night dinner or date night. Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was really great! They weren’t busy while we were there around 530 on a Friday night. The house fries are so good!! Parking was surprisingly easy and at the front door!
Neat place! The wings are fantastic! The house made fries and pickle fries were great too. Great service. The games looked like fun too but we didn't play. Great little spot I will definitely be back
We were able to host my son's 15th birthday party for 12 boys and about 6-8 adults. The manager "Moose" and his wife who are the owners, were amazing and accommodated our every need. We kept it simple with baskets of wings and fries and the boys had a great time with the 2 bay's we were able to use for the party! The parents were able to sit separate and enjoy drinks and menu items while the boys played a ton of virtual game options. The atmosphere was friendly and staff were friend and were amazing hosts! We will definitely go back again! 10/10 stars!

I just love this. We were in Monroe for my Mom's funeral and this place felt like home as it used to be when we were kids visiting our grandparents. I had forgotten how welcoming small town restaurants and shops are and we so needed that, along with great food and a cozy atmosphere. The biscuits are homemade and SO good! We were there 3 times in a week.
This is a breakfast must and a place that I already tell people to try. They keep the prices low and get you in and out. Breakfast ends at 10:30 on the weekdays. And just sit down at an open table. Every worker is welcoming too. The food is delicious. I’m not a big fan of their coffee but you need to have their omelets, sausages and of course the biscuits.
We started with line out the door on a busy Sat morning for dine in for 2 and the place was packed! We were seated quickly and service was great, but the food will having you want to go to the kitchen to hug them for a great homemade southern breakfast. Everybody had smiles and made everyone feel welcome. Can't wait to go back.

Had two people in the same day recommend this place and recommended that I get the burger. Therefore…I got the burger and a side of mac & cheese. The burger was well cooked with fresh toppings and extremely juicy with a flaky soft bun. The mac & cheese was baked fresh and soft. Presentation was professional and clean as well. I also got a cookies and cream cookie for dessert and had it heated up. Highly recommend this place and highly recommend the burger! Awesome experience, super nice staff, and cannot wait to come back. Thanks!
The lunch was delicious we had a tony burger. The bread seemed off like it was crumbly when it shouldn’t be but the burger was good. The loaded potato salad was good as well as the Mac and cheese. We went back again but for breakfast and I don’t recommend the breakfast. It was tortuous to eat. Extremely dry and flavorless the coffee was horrible. Stick with the lunch menu and you’ll be good
We just moved to Bethlehem and decided to drive to Monroe to explore. We stumbled across John's Supermarket in which Bistro South is located in the grocery store. The food is made fresh to order. We ordered our meals togo. The cashier was friendly. The food was delicious!! I ordered the Peppercorn Steakhouse Burger with pimento cheese fries. It was sooo delicious! Definitely will be coming back to try other menu items!

My husband and I came across RJ's while seeking new locations and restaurants to visit. We've frequented many of the popular, highly-rated restaurants in Gwinnett County, so we chose to venture into Walton County, specifically the city of Monroe. We arrived around 6pm, just an hour before closing time. RJ's is obviously a local favorite spot. Several folk were in and out, picking up orders while we were there. Their sauced chicken wingettes are the crave. We tried them and do agree that the wings and flavors are very good. We tried honey-hot, lemiyaki [lemon pepper/teriyaki], and "twisted" [lemon pepper/garlic parmesan/ranch] mix. We also purchased slice of homemade sweet potato pie. They have an extensive menu containing several meats, vegetables, and sides. Apparently, Sunday is their BIG FEAST day, when most menu items are available. We were able to sample the new "Chuck Roast Dressing"...the bomb!!! It was well-seasoned with a great cornbread stuffing texture. The restaurant itself is small and quaint. It gave off an old country store feel, nothing fancy; just basic and ordinary. I easily associated it with my grandparents' home in rural Alabama. RJ's is located among a little strip of shops, in a slightly hidden part of Monroe, behind the Sheriff's Dept. There were a few tables inside, but they were pushed aside and had stuff stacked atop them; not available for client usage. There were 3 or 4 metal, umbrella tables outside, in the front, but I'm not fond of outdoor eating [unless it's a fully enclosed (with a screen of sorts) and protects me from flying insects and bugs]. The owner, Mrs. J was very kind and hospitable as we ordered and waited. She told us she's been in business 11 years. She and her daughter do much of the cooking themselves, with her daughter being the primary baker/ cheesecake maker. We were impressed enough to definitely return and give this place another go, when lots of menu items are available.
Everyone was so nice and the food was done quickly, portions were right and the flavors were even more right
The wings were great! The sauce was just right for me....just a little heat. I ordered a 10 piece honey mild. The price was good and the wings were fresh and hot. I tried to wait until I got home to eat them but that didn't happen . I will be back the next time I visit Monroe.

Loved the food and the service. First time coming here, and it definitely was not a disappointment. The cheese dip doesn't get thick when it cools down, which was AWESOME. Our waiter, can't remember his name, was very good. The large margaritas I ordered was exactly that, LARGE.
Stopped in for dinner around 7pm; 2 diners. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Our table was very unbalanced and wobbly but our server quickly suggested another table - much better and very appreciated. When opening the menu, it had just been cleaned and was still wet with cleaner - my personal preference is to have a dry tabletop and menu. There were quite a few patrons throughout and from the looks of the dining area floor... they'd been pretty busy as there was food under almost every table there. And while they were still busy, it took no time for them to bring out our delicious meal!!! Food flavored well and with great portions. Their chicken soup is my favorite in the area and tonight didn't disappoint. We also ordered the pollo mezquite; the chicken was tender and when added with the rice and pineapple in the tortillas...YUM! Overall, while the dining area was needing some attention, the service was good and the food was delish.
The place was packed, but the waiters were quick and friendly. Great food at reasonable prices. Would Definitely recommend. If you have more than 6 people in your party, getting tables together may be impossible.

YUM! Everything was great. There were 4 of us, we shared the pimento fries, and each had a smash burger!! Shakes didn’t disappoint - I recommend the peanut butter pie one. DROOL
My family and I love this restaurant and make sure we eat here each time we come to Monroe for junking at antique stores. We are so thankful to the girls at Vintage Revival for recommending it to us on our first trip to Monroe. Going to LR Burger is now a tradition for our family and is one of our highlights of the day. Each of the four times we have been here, the cashier taking our orders has always been super friendly and helpful, our food has been phenomenal, and the wait time to receive our food has been reasonable considering the place is normally very busy. We love the Mother Clucker Chicken Sandwich, the SouthPaw Burger, the Sink Burger, etc. Everything we have ordered has been delicious, fresh, and attractively put together. However, the highlight of the meal is always the pimento cheese fries--which could easily be a meal on its own. The first time we went to LR Burger, my husband and son ordered fries along with their burgers, and I made sure to order a "large" pimento cheese fries with pickled jalapenos and bacon bits to go along with my Mother Clucker as recommended to me by the girls at the antique store. Wow, we were all hooked! The french fries portion size is HUGE and comes out on a very large tray , so keep that in mind when ordering. Now, we just order one large fry for all of us. They have a good variety of craft beer selections and frozen slushies! The pain killer is especially delicious! We love the Dirty Dancing theme they have going on in the cool atmosphere of the restaurant, thus the reason for including a velvet picture and mural they have of Patrick Swayze on the walls. My family highly recommends this place for a great burger, chicken sammie, fries, slushies, etc.
The food is awesome & the Shakes are delicious! I wish that they could close in a small portion of that outside eating section in the Fall/Winter to make a little more seating. It has a cool, eclectic like setting. You receive a great sized portion of food.

We decided to stop in and try this place for the first time today, and wow! The food is amazing! I actually went during lunch hours and my shrimp boil was huge and cost less than $11! We were highly impressed and satisfied. My husband gives it a 20/10.
We would eat here everyday if we could. We love seafood, and they never disappoint. The fish is seasoned well and fried perfectly. The catfish, whiting, and flounder are our favorites. Their shrimp are big and perfectly fried as well. Don’t sleep on the seafood boils, because they provide good tasty portions here. This is a family owned and operated establishment, which is the main reason we keep coming back. They are soooo friendly and personable, it feels like you’re just going down the street to get some of your aunties cooking.
Our family came to Mals Krazy Krab as a birthday celebration and we had the best experience! Maurice and the other staff were amazing and worked hard to serve our large table. They reserved a table for us, we never had an empty drink, food was delivered hot and fresh, and it was all done with a smile! The environment was very family-like which made the experience that much better! This is definitely the best seafood in town!

First time at this new location. Been going to the old for a while that some of the staff remembers me. New place is nice and fresh. The food it let me down, was expecting the same quality and taste. It was lacking in some of the extras tastebuds. Was good but not great as it once was. I remember the fried rice get salt, pepper and some secrete seasonings, was salt, seafood was not seasoned as it once was. I don’t mind to pay more since this new building but give me that flavor I love please. Make sure portion are worth it, felt on the small side for the price. I want to come back please take my recommendations. I’m okay for the price but let’s get the food portion and taste up there.
We’ve always been huge fans of Tokyo Hibachi, and now that they’ve moved to a brand-new location just half a mile from the original, we’re even more impressed. The new space is expansive and beautifully designed, creating an even better dining experience. The food remains outstanding, and the staff is as exceptional as ever. No matter how many times we visit, we know we’ll never get tired of coming here!
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. It's a nice and cozy restaurant. We ordered sushi, calamari, and a hibachi-grilled entrée. Everything was fabulous!! We will definitely be back.

This Five Guys in Monroe Ga is awesome. The employees working there are mostly the same every time I’ve been. Friendly service and clean restaurant including the restrooms. There was someone assigned to the dining room cleaning and making sure everything was just right. The lady that took our order right down to the lady that served our food. So grateful to have them! The food is off the chain fantastic!
My family and I love Five Guys. The food and service were excellent! Since it’s a newly opened business, we understand there may be some growing pains. I don’t want to sound overly critical, but I’d like to offer a small suggestion. It could be helpful to have a dedicated employee to keep the tables clean and sweep the floors. Also, while the patio area is nice, there were some stains on the pavement. A good pressure washing could make a big difference. I know this might seem minor, but small details like these can influence whether customers decide to return. That said, we will definitely be back! I just wanted to share a little feedback to help ensure the success of the business. Thanks, and welcome to Monroe!
Last Friday 10/18 my wife and I had the most disappointing, disgusting, tiny burgers bs we've ever had from a Five Guys. There was the same amount of onions I didn't order as bacon I paid extra for on my tiny burgers. The burgers didn't taste like Five Guys at all and for being a new location it looked like no one cared to take care of the dinning room. There were flies bothering us the whole time, signs that belong on the wall sitting on tables. I didn't order the little burger but my wife and I both could not believe how small our burgers were. Spent almost $25.00 to be hungry and disgusted by everything at this location. I emailed the information on the receipt and haven't heard anything. If this is Five Guys now I'm good with going anywhere else. Quite disappointing

Went in the other day with my son to have a little lunch date. Erin was our server. From start to finish she did a great job. Was moving around the whole dining area constantly checking on guests and making sure their drinks never got below half bringing boxes without having to ask...just a really good employee with a great smile on her face. I have been over the years and had kind of stopped going because service was subpar and food was just ok, but I will be back k after this visit and I will be requesting Erin as my server.
Our waitress was amazing! Very professional the whole time we were there. Other staff extremely rude. And they may want to save the pot smoking for after work. Just a suggestion.
I’ve always enjoyed dining at Amici’s, but my most recent visit was a truly awful experience. One of the managers, I believe her name was Johanna, began shouting at the young woman who was bringing our food to the table. I was completely stunned, as I’ve never seen anything like that happen in front of guests before. The server, who was clearly upset and in tears, politely asked the manager to speak with her in private, but the manager refused and continued yelling. To make matters worse, the argument appeared to stem from the manager’s own personal issues rather than a work-related concern. This behavior was utterly unprofessional. It’s unacceptable to handle conflicts by berating employees in front of paying customers. Someone needs to address this issue with the owners to ensure that problems are resolved calmly, respectfully, and away from public view.

This location is serving rotten lettuce on their salad, which they charge extra for, the Sweet potato had been scooped out, probably because it was rotten based on everything else, And RAW barely cooked $30. Steak, I’m really disappointed and NOT going back. TERRIBLE, service wasn’t great either….
Came in Saturday for lunch. Waitress was nice but we never got our appetizer and we were charged for the 9ct chicken tenders even though we ordered 6 and mashed potatoes were cold. Cheese on top of Parmesan crusted chicken wasn’t even melted. Starwberry lemonade was the best part of our meals.
I always get the ribeye with garlic parm crust it’s so good

The service was amazing. We usually drive from Athens to Loganville for Huey but decided to stop at the new Monroe location. We found a BONE in one of our tenders we got from the family meal! Thankfully we didn’t give it to our 4 year old. We opened the coleslaw and the scent of straight black pepper arose. I don’t know I feel about coming back here. Before you bite into your chicken tread slowly. I almost chipped my tooth biting into that one! For the quality and quantity of the family meal it’s not worth the 52.00 we paid.
Ordering was quick and easy. Food was out in less than 5 minutes and was hot and fresh. Jake's service in the dining area was respectful, polite, and attentive. Monroe Huey Magoos is a regular spot for our family.
Food was good, and fresh. My only complaint is the toast had heavy butter. But overall it was a good experience. I would return

we stepped in there in the middle of the week for a late breakfast and they treated us like we were family. We love Felicia and her crew in a heartbeat. I love the catfish biscuit with biscuit and gravy. That’s my favorite. We will be going back.
Very highly recommended. The food is fantastic and the service is exemplary. This place has ruined me for all other breakfast restaurants. I’d eat here every day if I could.
Felicia's makes one of the best biscuits I've ever had! They are able to make them fresh and provide quick service in the morning. The new location is great and the staff are always friendly.

Possibly the best restaurant of all time. I can get a full meal with a coffee and a pancake for under $10 and that’s just unheard of in a restaurant anymore. The food is always hot and fresh and the staff treats everyone like regulars. They’re quick to learn your name and order after a couple visits and theyre always pleasant and attentive. A gem of a restaurant in Monroe. Go after 1pm to avoid the busy rush after church
Had to ask for everything that was suppose to go along with my meal. Ask for the cornbread that was suppose to go with my meal . The waitress went back to get it came back with it in a to go box instead of basket. It was cold as ice literally came out like it was in refrigerator said something to waitresses she wanted to argue about it. Half the meal was burnt not sure what was going on today but wasn’t good at all.
We are from out of state and stopped here to have breakfast, although it was busy, the service was fast and friendly. The food came quick, it was hot and delicious. They came to our table often to see if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend coming here for Breakfast or lunch!

TBH, the meats are very good but everything else for me was not as good as expected. For $20 I got burnt ends, 1 side, and choice of Texas toast or hush puppies. Most BBQ restaurants give 2 sides with the meat. Honestly I would have rather had 2 sides that were half portions than this 1 large side. Mistakenly I chose BBQ beans to go with my burnt ends and it was just too much BBQ flavor all together. And the portion of beans is fairly hearty. Also I felt that none of the sauces were particularly good. They were all fine but I certainly wasn't crazy about any of them. Again, my opinion. My wife got chopped pulled pork BBQ, side of sweet potato casserole, and Texas toast. The pulled pork was excellent as well, and I would say the sweet potato casserole was the best side that any of us had. But still, it was a lot of 1 thing. My son got a pulled pork sandwich and baked macaroni & cheese. This was the best deal we all got. His was only $10 and it had practically as much meat as the plates did for as much lower price. The macaroni & cheese was pretty good, not excellent, however he really enjoyed it. Other than the food, the service was good and we were checked on regularly, though no other employees spoke to us as we entered or left the building.
First time visiting The Smoke Pit. Highly recommend 10/10. Went during lunch hours and we were able to receive our order quickly. We enjoyed our delicious meal on the patio. I suggest for the restaurants to put screens around it to keep the wasps away, but was still a good place to enjoy the meal. I had the half rack of ribs, they were a little chewy but not bad enough you couldn’t enjoy eating it. They also have many different sauce options for the ribs and brisket, so simple BBQ is not the sauce to try!! My personal favor sauce was the Smoke Pit Original sauce. They also offer $6 alcohol drinks of the day, so if you drink please ask about it. My waitress Mary was phenomenal :) . Highly recommend this restaurant
We absolutely love the smoke pit. Food and service are always great. As a veteran when I saw the free meal on Veterans Day my wife kept telling me I should go even though I don't do any of those free meal type deals on Veterans Day ever. To our surprise their advertisement on Facebook stated free meal for veterans on November 11th Monday. The teaser is they are closed on Monday as noted by the photograph of their front door.

A nice little "hole in the wall" place that always meets expectations. The cocktails are good but never taste the same twice. Stopped by for dinner. We had wings, onion rings, and loaded tater tots. Food came out super fast and very hot. All was delicious, wings were on point as usual. Service was also on point, very rarely have bad service here. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink and some food if you have a chance.
09MAR23 - Stopped in for a quick bite before a state conference at the Union County Agg center this weekend Nice little sports bar. I wouldn't call it a hole-in-the-wall. I had Wings, Loaded Nachos and fries. All 3 were excellent! Plenty of sauce on the wing, lots of toppings on the Nachos and plenty of crisp on the fries. I served this place randomly cause I didn't want a chain ♂️. If you're visiting the area stop in Tavern 74, I think you'll like it
Went in today 11/29 around 4:30 pm no one greeting at the door. After saying hello gently to the back a brunette bartender dressed like Beetlejuice came out obviously irate. I asked for a menu and cocktail menu and ordered a purple pixie but i wanted it to be a double she asked what vodka I wanted I said "whatever comes with the drink" the bartender was somehow annoyed by this so I added "if that's ok with you??" She began making the drink while grumbling to herself about the vodka they were out of the grape vodka typically used and I was like ok just regular vodka then?? I left in the middle of her making my drink I don't want to eat or drink from someone making my food with hate. I have no clue what this woman's issue was this was my first time visiting the resteraunt and as someone who has worked in service from crew, boh, foh to management I was disgusted by this servers behavior. As I was leaving she hollered after me and my twin sister to have a good day as she kindly greeted what appeared ro be regulars...we did not get the same courtesy or kindness I have no idea what this woman's problem was we went and gave our business to Mr Tokyo across the street since ours wasn't appreciated also bathrooms were disgusting x

Went to sit down and the leather on the booth was broken, not very comfortable to sit on. Then my son was given spoiled milk, hopefully he doesn't get sick. Took my kids to the restroom and it was like going to a gas station bathroom, hasn't been cleaned in probably years. Oh, and no TP. When I came out of the bathroom I realized how filthy the restaurant is as well. Service was great but I don't understand how this place is still in business.
The waitress is there are really great they work as a team and you could tell that they run it professionally like they're supposed to instead of oh well that's not my section I don't want to help they literally asked all the people in there if they can help you. The food was really good. However at the price they're charging they need to give rice or potatoes with their country style steak or hamburger. Also they should offer more than one role. But I would recommend it to other people and I will go back.
As you pass the Skinny Cook, it looks like a hole in a wall restaurant, but it's much more. It's where you eat home cooked meals with family or friends. It's a well-known place by all locals in Monroe. It stays busy for breakfast and lunch. The prices are very reasonable, you can't beat it. I had lunch there and ordered the loaded tots and chicken wings. The wings were spicy but not super hot, just right. The loaded tots came with tons of melted cheese and bacon bits. Absolutely delicious .

I forgot to take pictures of my food. This was my second time eating at this location. The first time I did not post about it because the people were nice and I didn't want to give the location a bad review due to the underwhelming inside of the location and the weird smell. However the renovations definitely look really great on the outside and the inside. My Seafood was cooked with a crunch as I asked, the mixed vegetables were seasoned, and my baked potato was hot and fresh. The staff comes across very politely to everyone.
I was visiting my friend and we decided to go out for lunch. She asked if I've been to a Showmar. I said I've never heard of it. She described the food and I said , let's stop there. Dottie at the register was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered the bbq and tots with a Dr Pepper. My friend ordered the gyro salad with sweet tea. I quickly asked if I could have a sweet tea instead of Dr Pepper. She said that it wasn't a problem. She always had a beautiful smile when talking to her! We got our order. My tots were not warm but they were very crunchy which I love crunchy tater tots! I forgave them for not having hot tots! I dipped them in bbq. DELICIOUS! The BBQ sandwich with extra bbq sauce added was amazing, juicy, the right amount of smokey flavor and tender! I'll definitely come back again. Hoping to see how close of a Showmar is near me!
Service was good food not so good. Had them take back the onion rings had no taste. Fish sandwiche was OK. French fries were good. Got a hamburger to go for my wife she said the bun was hard.

Good local breakfast shop, good service , good prices .. eggs and cheese biscuits were fresh made and delicious. Eggs , hash brown, and turkey sausage plate was very good too..
I live in Maryland and often visit my sister who lives in Monroe. The food is delicious and the services is as equally good. I was blown away on a visit to the Palace and the waitress knew what I wanted. Talk about extraordinary customer service. Thank you for making me feel like part of the community. I never leave town without a visit to the Palace for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In addition the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I wish there were more restaurants that took this type of time to take care of there customers. KUDOS!! to the Palace.
Good selection of food for a decent price. I had the ribeye steak and it was tender and flavorful but just a tad salty. I had a good waitress who paid attention and made sure I had what I needed.
