Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Millington – 2024

Winner! My new favorite lunch place in Millington. Probably the best Taco Salad I've ever had and my friend loved her club sandwich. We both had leftovers for another meal. The service from Porky was phenomenal, the food was served fresh and hot, and the restaurant is freshly remodeled, beautiful inside and so clean. Can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu!

It's the food for me. The fries have metallic aftertaste, and what they gave me on a Philly cheesesteak - more bread than anything else - and cold to the touch. It's not worth the price and probably won't give this place a second chance. The cheesesteak actually needed ketchup to make it digestible. My kid's ordered a chicken basket and a burger - the burger tasted bland and just like carcass. The chicken tenders were so greasy that my daughter looked like she was wearing lip gloss. It's definitely not worth it. No drink refills for the entire 45 minutes we were there. Nobody checked up on us or even asked if the food was okay. Honestly, if my mom hadn't paid for the meal, I would've walked out refusing to pay.

We stopped on our cross country move because it had the best reviews. I walked in and asked about sitting outside on a patio or if our pup was allowed inside. They offered us either and said he was more than welcomed. They were the sweetest people we have met. We ordered a French toast special, the western omelette, and the big breakfast and was completed surprised by just how good it was! It was by far the best breakfast we ever had. They were so kind and honestly it was the highlight of our day! When we visit, we will be back.

Visit this establishment pretty often. The food is always fresh and well prepared, and the salad bar, which is my personal favorite, is always fully stocked. Their Friday seafood buffet is absolutely forfulling. It's always overstocked with stuffed crabs, frog legs, baked catfish, fried catfish, shrimp, and so much more. You name it, it there. Anna Grace was our waitress. Her approach was warm and kind. Her personality, along with the rest of the staff, was very friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming. It was crowded but yet controlled. Soft tones of families chattering and having a great experience can be heard. It was very clean inside and out of their location. Highly Recommend!!!!

Got the Wednesday lunch buffet. Really delicious fried chicken, pretty good and decently sized salad bar, tender and juicy pot roast, and good banana pudding. Will love to come back soon. Very nice service, everyone was welcoming, especially Molly.

We had a great meal. The food was hot and fresh. Service was a little slow considering not too many people. But when our server could, he would check on us.

My 4th location to visit & I'm happy to have another positive review. The only reason for the 4-star on food was that my shrimp & onion rings came out looking a bit overcooked ( like the oil could've been too hot, maybe). The onion rings were not crispy by the time they brought them out. It seemed like they had sat long enough, possibly covered, & their steam had softened the crust. They fell8 apart when I tried to pick one up. I'm pretty certain this is not the norm & and I am eager for my next visit & onion rings. The spinach artichoke dip was exceptional & the 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The burgers were fantastic & dessert (yes, we did). We ordered a lemon icebox pie slice to go ( homemade, in-house) & their brownie/ice cream (name escapes me). That brownie was luciously warm & yummy! Needless to say, this location is probably my favorite. I think it seemed more open & and spacious, maybe because we were there after the lunch rush. You can tell they put a lot of work into each location. I hope to sit on the patio next visit! It was very inviting.

What an amazing little local spot in the heart of Millington, TN!! As soon as I walked into this fine, clean establishment. I was greeted right away, was not judged for being by myself. I’m a single man so I like to eat by myself and treat myself to a good dinner once in a while. Anyways, the smash burger was phenomenal!! I never had such an amazing salad!! And lastly, the cheesy mozzarella sticks were so delicious and had me enjoying every bite! Brandy the bartender/ server was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable when it came to helping me make my orders I’m thankful for the whole staff as well, very clean spot, great drinks, and such a cool vibe. Will come again!!

We drove 3 1/2 hours for our sons football playoff game and stopped at this jewel! The atmosphere was amazing, the smash burgers were the best we ever had! Mallory did such a great job making sure we were taken care of. Such a sweet girl. If an when we pass through again we will most definitely be back!

We stayed at a local hotel and were looking for a bite to eat. We had the bacon cheese burger with fries and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Someone next to me had wings and they looked amazing! What a great local bar to stop at. Everyone made us feel welcomed and the food was yummy. They had karaoke that night and it looked like so much fun. They had pool tables, shuffleboard and jukebox!! When you are in the area you should definitely check it out!

Absolutely amazing place whether you’re from out of town, or right down the street! The absolutely outstanding Food, Live bands/Music, ice cold Beer, and lovely people make it my favorite spot in West Tennessee! Did i mention the food is really good? Well it is, and if you’ve never been, you’re missing out!

Tonight was the first soup Thursday at Shakerag. Loved the choices of soup and each kind was wonderful! The chicken n dumplings was the best! Go get you some!!

WE FINALLY FOUND SOME SOUL FOOD! My husband and I finally made it to Jackie Mae’s after a few weeks of planning to go. The portions of our meals were huge and delicious (catfish, pork chops, Mac and cheese, green beans, cornbread, fried corn) Overall, the experience was great due to the meal, service, and live original music.

We love the food, service, and owner! The perfect southern experience. You will not find better southern food. The only thing I offer for improvement is the live music is too loud for such a small place. If he would play and sing without speakers, that would be nice. He's an awesome performer!

This was our first visit and it won't be our last. We each had the 2 piece fried catfish plate with 2 sides. The filets were tasty, thick, and huge. I highly recommend Jackie Mae's.

Poor food and poorer service. Waitress barely spoke English and would not accommodate a dietary restriction so that I could order fajitas without shrimp. Every Mexican restaurant will do this but NOT this one. Had to ask for refills. Had to ask for more chips since our group ordered a large cheese dip. Waitress spilled plated rice on table when bringing out order and didn't clean up. We won't go here again. After our experience, we checked with other people we know that have dined here. Their experience was equally unappealing. With dozens of Mexican establishments within a 30 miles radius, we won't miss this one.

Great food, friendly and attentive staff, clean location with lots of space

The salsa is not good at all… the chips are great. Food is nothing to write home about. Pretty poor over all. There are six big tvs 5 of which were showing replays/ reality tv when there was Monday night football on. I would suggest going across the street to anywhere but this restaurant.

Good pizza, kareoke on Wed, Friday and Saturday (my fav days to go). I enjoy playing darts there and if I was any good at pool, I’d enjoy that too.

Good atmosphere, nice little bar. Good people! A good place to get a drink and relax or play some shuffle board or pool.

The perfect dive oasis in a desert of trendy wannabe hip bars these days. Tired of pretentious, faux leather, no personality cookie cutter bars? Looking for a place with a style all it's own? Want pool tables, shuffleboard, ice cold beer, good food, chill patios, no children, and walls covered with enough memorabilia to keep you occupied for hours? Want a bartender (Jake) who's intelligent and fun to talk to, not drunk, spaced out, or as stupid as a Memphis driver with fake paper tags? Want to feel comfortable and welcome the first time you walk in the door? If that's what you're looking for, give them a visit and see for yourself. They're easy to find right off HWY 51 just north of Memphis. If none of that appeals to you, go somewhere else because you're just not ready for one of the coolest dive bars in the Memphis area.

We moved up to TN a few months ago and missed Chili’s. The ones in Cordova and near Memphis just are not great. We found out there was one in Millington and tried it out and were so pleased. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. Our server was over the bar and had many tables as well so the service was really slow. But the Chili’s vibe and delicious food made up for it. When I was done, that little chili tempted me with a lava cake. I’ve eaten plenty of them Not this time Chili’s…. Not this time :/

Food was good, service was awful. Our server summer was inattentive and deceitful. I had to ask other servers for help. She just walks around in circles looking unpleasant to be at work. While another server was helping us, summer comes to the table to say it was the food runners fault why I was waiting 15 mins on onions for my appetizer. When I know as a server you could just “ask the kitchen.” She didn’t upsell, offer any dessert or Togo supplies. When we asked for lids to top the dressings she bluntly lied about being out and said she even asked the kitchen. As we were leaving the busser asked if we needed a bag, so we asked him for the lid. He came back within 10 seconds and we tipped the busser also. I just feel like if you want your company to flourish, hire better servers because it’s not the food.

Stopped in for lunch, this is a nice Chili's location. Our waitress redeemed the unflattering lack of friendliness from the hostess and the girl who dropped our drinks on the table with absolutely no greeting or acknowledgment. The food was good. We had the trio dip and mozzarella sticks as appetizers, both were great. I had the chicken sandwich, which was really crispy. If the tomato wasn't soggy, it would have been a bit better. I had the corn as a side, it was overcooked and lacking in flavor. Overall, it was a pretty good lunch. I'd recommend this location for a try.

My first time at this location. Service was great. Food was hot & fresh. Nice casual, family-friendly restaurant atmosphere. Definitely going back to try more from the menu.

The jumbo sammich is truly jumbo. I enjoyed the sausage and cheese starter as well.

Very cute spot owned by the sweetest local nurse. Fantastic breakfast food and sweets. Extremely clean inside, good prices and well worth a stop in an otherwise brunch free area. Theyre working on a liquor license for mimosas, so once that happens - look out!

My chicken and waffles were delicious and our server Brittany was probably the sweetest and best server I’ve EVER encountered!! The place was very homey, welcoming, clean, friendly and so wel put together! I will definitely be coming back!! 10/10

Very nicely appointed and clean inside. Similar to an Olive Garden without the endless salad. Tasty bread with complimentary oil and butter. Our server was very professional. The food was very good and seemed fresh. Overall a very nice experience.

We don't eat out very often these days, as it's gotten so expensive to do so, and the food can often be disappointing. However, we were out and decided to stop for lunch at Harry's. The parking lot was quite full, although there were still spaces available in the back of the building, so we were worried it might be a long wait and very crowded. We were surprised that there was no wait and still tables available. Everything was very clean, and the decor and ambiance were outstanding. The service was attentive while not too intrusive, and the food was excellent! We were promptly served fresh bread and oilve oil with spices for dipping. I had the Florentine pasta with chicken, and my husband had the Carbonara with added chicken. Both were delicious. I will say that the dishes were not textbook traditional Italian as named (the Carbonara especially surprised us being served with penne and mushrooms) but rather American interpretations, but they were good dishes on their own. Unfortunately, we did not have room to try the desserts because the bread was too tempting to resist, and we devoured it all. When we got our bill, we were surprised to see our total was only $30 before tip, which is amazing to see these days, especially for the quality of the meal and setting. The bathrooms were also impeccably clean. We will be returning with our family sometime soon. Thanks for a great experience and refreshing my belief that I could enjoy and afford a meal out once in a while!

Great place to eat! Food is delicious, staff is on point, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Low light and quiet. Nice place for a family outing or a date.

We eat here often and love our server Julieta. She remembers our order and is very personable. Best Margaritas in town! The food is excellent and the staff is attentive to your needs.

Food was amazing. We had the lunch special and there was more actual meat than filler like many restaurants like to cut cost by. You get more food for your bucks for sure! The veggies were very fresh a d crisp. Good flavor and texture. The kids burger and fries are huge; usually it's half the size of the burger and fries at many other restaurants. Chips and salsa is great.

Nice and quiet atmosphere. I've eaten there for both their lunch and dinner times. While it can get busy, that doesn't slow the service or food. Their steak hibachi is amazing!

Best Asian cuisine in Millington. My family loves the location and the food. The service is always amazing and personal. However the menu is mainly sushi or hibachi without much else. Good food but could use some other options.

I ordered a salad from the drive through. As I pulled around the corner, I noticed garbage laying under the window. The drive through windows were so dirty that you could hardly see inside, as if some took Mayo and touched all three windows. The attendant opened the window, said $9.35 and walked off. She came back with my drink....and I never got a straw. I was asked to pull forward. A nice lady walked my meal out and said they were out of ranch and gave me two options. She went a got my dressing from the drive through window. The salad was tiny, but well put together. It's such a pretty restaurant from the road that I expected a different experience.

First time visiting a Jack’s restaurant, but definitely not my last. Immediately upon entering the store, I was greeted by Richard Ring. He truly loves his job and it shows—such a rarity these days! He thoroughly explained the menu items and didn’t make me feel rushed whatsoever. He definitely set the bar for stellar customer service! The food was great! Zero complaints and I intend to return to this location again very soon! Keep up the great work Richard!

Been to jacks in millington Tennessee today at 11:50 AM we ordered our meals, 3 piece chicken dinner and chicken sandwich. We ordered 2 lg. drinks and only one given at the window, we said something to the window attendant and she blurted out you only ordered one. Chicken dinner ordered wit 2 orders of fries only received one. No biscuit and no napkins with our order. Service is always different from friendly to poor attitude.

Wanted to try something new with Mom and this place popped up. When I say their grilled chicken omelet is amazing, I'm saying it's slap yo mama good. Mom got the Philly cheese steak omelet and she was just as happy. The people are great and food couldn't be more on point.

Daughter loves their Turkey burger. Salad is always fresh and one of very few places that you can get delicious fried mushrooms.

A survivor of BRAC and reduction in the economy, this is the place to go for an affordable meal for an individual or family.This family owned renaissance local diner is an example of what we are missing in today’s world. Filled with local inhabitants where everyone knows everyone you are more than welcome to come in and enjoy a meal and good company. The food is served on real porcelain plates and metal. The burgers and onion rings were fantastic We plan to return every time we visit the are and try other home cooked meals. Clean and comfortable.
