Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Medicine Hat – 2024

Stopped in for a late dinner with my wife. We have been to the location in Lethbridge but first time here. We tried the lobster roll, seafood chowder and donair egg rolls. All the food was good. The lobster rolls were delicious, well seasoned with lots of lobster meat. Staff were super friendly and attentive. We came an hour before close so the place was pretty quiet, which is all good by me. Great place for some Halifax inspired seafood, donairs and much more. Thanks so much for dinner!

First time here for a birthday celebration, really nice atmosphere, we tried the mussel bucket as starter, the sauce was delicious. Then, the lobster Mac & Cheese, perfect and tasty, but a little bit expensive for me. Then, for dessert, we got the Halifax rum runner honey cake, it was amazing. I just have one comment to make, the washroom was not really clean. Other than that it was a good experience.

WOW! I’ve been to B&G quite a few times and it’s always busy and the food is great. We visited yesterday as they advertised a family music show and it was hands down one of the best restaurants times with my kiddo. I’m not sure why any other restaurant hasn’t done this because our family would attend these every month! I went with three other family’s and we all had lunch and watched our little ones bust a move on the dance floor. It was a family Sunday with good food incredible music and lots of fun. Service was fast and the entire restaurant was jumping with the most adorable tots and kids. Love love love great event for Medicine Hat.

The Beefeater always has tasty steaks, and the lunch special was at our table within 7 minutes. The server was friendly, and the dining room is always clean, and tables covered in fresh linen

This place is top dollar and worth every cent. The service was impeccable with our server very in tune with our needs. Other servers also kept an eye on each other's tables, ensuring no empty glasses and no dirty plates. Our meal progressed flawlessly from drinks to appetizer to main course. We were neither rushed, nor did we wait. Our dishes were skillfully prepared and plated. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. It was an anniversary celebration for us and we are pleased to have spent our special date at the Beefeater.

Stop into The Beefeater for the first time and I've heard good things about the restaurant so thought I'd better try it out. Well my first impression of the restaurant wasn't the greatest. The atmosphere is nice but a little on the dark side. The servers were nice and helpful especially when it came to the issue with my meal. My wife and I came for some nice steak dinners and well everything was good but the steaks weren't cooked correctly. My wife's was over cooked and the best part of mine was over cooked. Photos of the steaks will be posted along with the trimming... Was so hungry I didn't get to take a photo of the salad. I would to mention the management looked after this problem properly no question ask. I will be back to give the restaurant one more try as I believe in second chances.

Went out a birthday dinner at the Keg Medicine Hat. It was a wonderful experience overall. The restaurant was clean and well appointed. We were attended to by very attentive staff who accommodated one diner's gluten and lactose sensitivity. We had the filet mignon, one regular and one with blue cheese. They were delicious and done to our specs. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a very good first impression and we would recommend this to friends and we will return in the future. Note we had already ruined the very nice presentation on the plates because we dug in before remembering to take photos.

Food was excellent - steaks, salmon, lobster were all great. However, service was not. A pile of plates with cutlery was just dropped off at the edge of the table for us to pass around to each person. For the prices, we expected the waitress to refill the wine glasses but we had to continuously do this ourselves. The waitress walked past our table several time avoiding eye contact despite empty wine and water glasses. The worst part was getting our bill before we were done and the waitress standing there waiting for payment. We were there for another full hour finishing drinks and not a single server came by to check on us or anything. At one point we had to get up and walk to the bar for drink refills!! It’s too bad the service is so terrible when the food was so good.

This place is the hidden gem of southern Alberta. Beautiful views..the best server ever Shardae! She was so helpful with drink choices in both the beer and whisky flights. The view is amazing. The seats are comfy being mostly booths and it is plenty big. You get to watch the cooks which is quite amazing...plus they have a huge selection of Alberta spirits. The food is so tasty!! I so recommend this place!!

Nice spot! I really liked the quesadilla. But being unfamiliar, it was a bit unclear where to go because it feels like you're going into an office complex (take the elevator to the top floor).

The restaurant has Indian music in the background, paintings and statues. Their vegan dishes are delicious For the entire time it feels like being back in India, savouring the unique spices, food and culture. Sometimes they talk Punjabi and how I wish to walk out and find the street turned into a market with vendors calling bargains - bags full of spices, incense burning, the brightest silk scarfs and clothing. The food in Blue Flame honours the traditional way of cooking and serving.

We order chicken and cauliflower 65 and they send us burnt food. Also so little quantity and quality for $26. Also they use to make it with onions and coconut sauce or whatever but it was just dry super dry. Very disappointed ☹️

One of the tastiest food i had in a long time. Service was great, friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommend Chicken 65 and Tandori Chicken Sizzlers.

Me and my two friends ate here, the wait was a little long, but it was so worth it. The food was so flavourful and had such large portion sizes as well! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, it gives off vintage vibes, which was great for us. The woman working was kind, and was super friendly, so no complaints there. The building is very nice and clean. The music was at a nice volume, and was very complimenting to listen to.

We had a delicious little lunch here! The food and drinks were priced very reasonably, and the portions were generous. The decor is so cute and unique! We will be back next time we visit the city

We hit up the Rosewood Bistro for the second round. My husband had his usual big breakfast and mine was the special of the day “The hot beef sandwich is topped with mushrooms, onions, and green peppers with a side of creamy vegetable soups”, It’s so tasty and the combination was a great deal for 19.99 cads. The service was impeccable, fast and efficient. My main 1/2 chicken meal with homemade Mac and cheese was over the top. Although I was stuffed by the generous portions I ordered dessert. The flambé banana pie was delicious!!

This place was friggin awesome. Went here for dinner and it left a great impression, and i left very full. The roasted veg 1/2 chicken had a beautiful skin, with delicious gravy and nicely cooked & roasted veggies. The service was also great, our server was very knowledgeable and quick with service and was very good at her job!

I've been here a few times, and the service and food is top notch. Went on father's day since I'm far from home and had a great experience. Spoiled myself a bit with their steak trio. It was so amazing. I'll be back a few more times before I head back home.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was amazing all the staff was friendly and really happy to help. The food was amazing, the dessert was amazing I would come back next time I'm in town. The way they celebrate the anniversarys and birthdays are cool.

At the beginning of the day we went to a celebration of life for my grandmother, The food was delicious, and the staff were respectful most of the time. When ordering my drinks I felt as if I was annoying the waitresses. They didn't bring a drink menu so trying to figure out what we would like to drink was hard. Later that night we went back to party until 2 AM and it was a night to remember. The place was fun and actually clean for how many people were there. Thank you Ralph's for making my grandmother's celebration of life a night to remember!!!! Oh yeah and the food was AWESOME AND DELICIOUS!!

Went to Ralph’s steakhouse last night for dinner, it was amazing. Ordered the 12oz prime rib, came out perfect at medium rare, baked potatoes and beans were very good.

Buffet MH is my usual go to place for Chinese, and normally always excellent! I ordered take out for 5 people-one dish being shrimp and mixed vegetables, which was 3/4 celery with a few broccoli/carrots/mushrooms. The next day I phoned and requested to speak with the owner/manager but was told no one was available. I spoke with Debbie voicing my complaints about the quality of food and the price paid for the meal. She said she would tell the cook. I kept requesting to receive a call back from the owner/manager to also discuss with them, and she could hardly wait to end the call. After many asks, she finally took my name and number…two days later, still no phone call. It goes to show customer service is not valued at this establishment, and maybe it’s time to find another place to take my business…

Clean, professional, friendly environment. The food selections were fresh and delicious. I am a world traveler from New Orleans Louisiana and have seen all sorts of buffets and restaurants, from top end to shetchy road side front yard restaurants in Thailand, that being said I was ultra impressed 10/10 this place is truly world class..

My grade should be something closed too, but less than 4 stars. The price (especially with the senior discount, is a deal breaker in a good sense). Service was efficient, considering that the place is pretty busy. The desserts choices were good. Lot of choices, however, one may argue about the taste. There is no wi-fi.

The smoked brisket beef dip is delicious! And came crazy fast! They have 2 whole glass shelves full of deserts, I took home the coolest looking lemon meringue pie I have ever seen. Can’t wait to try it later. But the server Sheila was an absolute gem! What a sweetheart super helpful and always smiling! Thank you Sheila! And Erica the cashier who took my payment was such a sweetheart too! What a positive and friendly environment! 10/10 would definitely come back!

Decided to stop in for supper based on the good reviews we had read on Google. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the value great and our server Cris was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in town.

We always enjoy Papi's. Excellent food, we especially enjoy the turkey dinner, anytime of year! The grilled tilapia with shrimp and wild rice is superb

My Mom and I went there to celebrate my 60th Happy Birthday today. The food was Amazing, the service was Outstanding and the Atmosphere was Very enjoyable! It is our new favourite special place restaurant! I had the ribs-Oh my Gosh they were fall off the bone, the warm potato salad was, just Wow. We've never had it before and it was really good! My Mom had the Cajun chicken-it was nicely spicy. You will not be disappointed! Promise!

It's been about 15 years since we've been to Earl's. Wayyyy too long. We went to relax and dine! Was lucky enough to hit happy hour! Got some recommendations from friends on what to order as well as our server was very good at recommending a well. The watermelon slush was amazing. My husband had a Caesar. Both are excellent! For appetizers, we had chicken and wonton, Leroy's crispy ribs, and the spinach dip. Oh my goodness! Incredible! For our meals, chicken hunan and the Canadian sirloin with truffle butter. Both were excellent. Dessert was the cheesecake with fruit. Katie was our server and was the best over our 2.5-hour dining experience! We will definitely be going back again and won't wait 15 years this time!!

Service was great, food was absolutely amazing; homemade burger thick bacon real cheddar cheese slices. Potato skins also made in house & absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back to try out the Italian food for dinner. Price is great, super affordable for quality food.

A gorgeous restaurant ! One of the best service restaurants! It is located in a belle-view block! We only ordered Ginger Ale, Honey and Garlic Flavor Wings and Fish &Chips!

Went to this local Italian restaurant as a high recommendation from a local and wow! Was I surprised! The atmosphere is comfy and friendly where everyone was happy to gather somewhat together again and enjoy this delicious food. I ordered the Linguine El Pollo and the house beer and both were so amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting to support the local restaurant community.

Great vibes, live music was on point and the atmosphere was awesome. Service was quick and timely, prices were alright. The food choices were pretty standard pub food and not the best to be honest, but we enjoyed the house lagers and for a place with live music with no cover, it was hard to beat

The restaurant is very nice. I went on taco Tuesday and they had a few different tacos to choose from. I got fish tacos and they were excellent. Even got an order to go after a few drinks. I door dashed the burger and I was amazing as well. A must stop place for sure.

The best patio in the city by far. Delicious food. Decent service, just sometimes the waitstaff gets overloaded with tables and can be delayed. Something that isn't within their control. They also have an expanding non-alcoholic drink menu, which is nice.

I'm never sure what to expect when I go to a favorite restaurant in a different location but Moxie's Medicine Hat didn't disappoint. The restaurant was clean, the food was amazing and our server Rachel was fantastic!!! We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely come back to this restaurant next time I'm in town.

Had our anniversary dinner here and everything was amazing! Our server Faith was so lovely and the food was top notch. Always our spot for consistently good food and great service!

Moxie’s Medicine Hat is our caterer for an annual fundraiser that we have. This year, the food was created with a Caribbean theme and was absolutely delicious. In addition, the staff that ran our bar services were efficient, friendly, and were engaged with our guests. We are thrilled to have them as part of our event and would highly recommend them for any catering requirements.
