Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Mechanicsburg – 2024

I attended a Christmas party here recently and it was the first time I've been there in years. Was very happy with the food and the service. The atmosphere for the party was warm and just right for a Christmas gathering. We enjoyed the food so much that we are planning on going back and checking them out during their normal business hours...

Great local establishment. Fun afternoon at the driving range with the kids then stopped in for lunch. Plenty of TVs, kids loved the arcade , easy going atmosphere. We had boneless wings, old bay fries with cheese sauce (so good), and a burger, no complaints! Service was good too! Look forward to spring and making this a frequent stop!

The last two times I’ve been there I got the food to go. The other week I got The Thanksgiving dinner sandwich. How do you make a sourdough bread so soggy when you really have no gravy on the sandwich and what gravy there was on it was on the bottom. The stuffing looks like it was from a can, and taste like it. So today I got the BBQ wings and it taste like ketchup. So they told me it was Cattleman’s BBQ. They need to be more consistent and get a better BBQ. I think they were running low on BBQ sauce and they added ketchup to it.

We ordered salsa and chips, the salsa was watery and very salty, couldn't eat it. Then we ordered fajita, crispy chicken, appetizer combo, quesadilla with chicken salad, beans burger, out of which beans burger was the best. Everything else was okay. Best was the desert of molten chocolate with ice cream

Food was amazing! We went around lunch and the restaurant was very quiet, not many people there. The service was incredibly fast and all of the employees we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a bag of chips and salsa to take home, we will definitely be returning back. THE best place to go if you want amazing chips and salsa!!

The amount of times I order from here you’d think there’d be some consistency. Food was already sloppy thrown together I can get over that but then to find BBQ sauce at the bottom of my chicken bacon ranch quesadilla container? What the hell is going on with this place? And I ordered here maybe a week ago and was given a full size cup of soup, today I was told I am only entitled to a sauce size container of it even though I’m paying full price. I don’t know if I will be returning since we can’t keep up with consistency in a chain restaurant.

Large, kind of overwhelming menu but lots of good options. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chalors pineapple fried rice with chicken. I enjoy spicy food, but I'm thankful I went with medium with the waitress asked what spice level I wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. Chicken, veggies, rice, and pineapple were soo flavorful and delicious!! Portions were of a good/hearty size! My wife ordered the pad Thai with shrimp and she was not as much of a fan of hers as I was of mine. Specials sounded good too, but many of them included some type of seafood and I was not interested in that tonight. Decor in the restaurant was nice too.

Update: Based on owner's response, it appears that the owner doesn't know how to take a feedback. If you can't take feedback and improve, get out of customer centric business. Unfortunately for you, I come from a land of curry and I certainly don't need teachings on pallette. Nevertheless, your version of Thai waterfall is no where close to the real one. This is a nice place with great atmosphere and service. However, I felt the food is a bit mediocre. It's probably my fault that I didn't order typical thai curry or noodles. I went with one of those house specials "Thai waterfall" and it's probably the driest pork I ever had. It looks great but tastes really bad. Side salad is good though. I would recommend may be go for curries or fried rice or noodles. Soups are great as well.

My family and I have been coming here for years and really enjoy everything about this place! From the food, service, atmosphere, etc. it’s always a great experience. The food always tastes fresh and hot, even when ordering for take-out! I recommend this place to multiple people and will continue to come often

Best Thai place in the region. Authentic made to order food. Very good service with a family touch. The owner makes you feel like his extended family. Come one come all to this wonderful place!

We came here for our anniversary dinner and got 2 veggie spring rolls, Tom Yum goong soup, White pepper Garlic Pork, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The waiter asked us if it was a special date we were having, and we said it was our anniversary. To our surprise, when we were finished with our food, they brought out a slice of chocolate cake with a candle. They went above and beyond. Per person was around $20 for the entrees and about $8 for the appetizers. Oh, and we tried some Thai Tea as well which was out of this world!!! Thai is the best kind of food in my opinion and Bangkok Wok knows how to prep and cook it. I 1000% recommend this to everyone. And the waiters are SO NICE and so polite and friendly.

Just tried Bangkok Wok Thai, and it was awesome! The place has a cool vibe, and the Pad Thai and Green Curry I had were crazy good. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. If you're into legit Thai food with a chill atmosphere, Bangkok Wok Thai is the spot. Can't wait to go back for more!

This place is a hidden gem. A husband and wife team, him cooking his mother's recipes and her making you feel like you're in you favorite aunt's kitchen, keep the tradition alive. I was literally transported back 50 years to my childhood in my grandma's kitchen by world class German food. I had the Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle, my wife had the Hungarian Goulash and our son had the Schnitzel. I ordered an extra side of the red cabbage salad. I must admit I was a little concerned at how fast our food was prepared and thought they might be using some frozen ingredients, but I was dead wrong. The cutlets were perfectly breaded and prepared so well I didn't need my knife to cut it. The wine mushroom gravy was so filled with buttery goodness that I decided to save some for later by dropping it on my shirt as I tried unsuccessfully to control how fast I ate it. The red cabbage salad was great, the potato salad was insanely great. The portions were perfect- just enough for a big guy like me to feel full and not so much that I felt a need to confess my sins. Despite being full we felt obligated to try the apple strudel. To say it was authentic and amazing is an understatement. Overall we fed a family of three for about $19 per person including drinks. Even though we live 1.5 hrs away, I guarantee you we will be back again and again. My one complaint- this place made me miss my grandmother and her cooking after 50 yrs without her. Thank you for keeping authentic and amazing German cuisine alive, the memory of your mother is honored through your efforts.

This place is amazing. Easily the best German food I've ever had. I got the rouladen, and it was so incredibly tender. Awesome spaetzel as well. Wish they had a bigger parking lot but ya can't win them all.

It's been so long since I've been to a good German restaurant, and this place doesn't disappoint. I got the Wurst Platter and that was the best wurst (no pun intended) that I've had in quite a while. I got spaetzle instead of potato salad and I'm so glad I did. It was so light and not at all oily like many other places.

Amazing food, highly recommend! Service was quick and attentive. Really chill atmosphere. Great portions too. Picture was an after we were almost done eating. We will definitely be returning in the future. :)

I'll save the best for last ;) As soon as my husband and I pulled up to Plaza Azteca, I could tell this was going to be a good experience. When we walked in, we were greeted by bright smiles and kind welcomes. We were seated immediately. Chips and salsa was placed on our table and we just started looking around. We were amazed at how beautiful everything looked! The art on the walls, the lights, the whole atmosphere was perfect. The food - WOW!! Every single bite was scrumptious. We were so full we had to take home a good bit of leftovers Okay, the best part. Our waitress. Hands down the BEST server we have ever had, anywhere!! Adrianna(I think I spelled that right) was so fun, helpful, kind and professional, all at the same time!!! She is definitely someone who knows how to work well with the general public and I know that can be hard, especially nowadays. Adrianna really sealed the deal for us - this is now our favorite date spot ♡

Had heard a lot about this place and it did not disappoint. They gave us chips and salsa with four different sauce which was very good. We ordered chipotle burrito, sonora, chimichanga, Chicken fajita salad and cheesecake with ice cream. Everything was very good. Loved the fajita and the cheesecake desert a lot. Would definitely want to come again and try more items.

These types of diners are the home run places everyone loves to find. I was in town working for a few days and at 2:00am there are not many options and did I luck out!!! I was the only customer in the diner and Rodney was there to welcome me and gave me a little history on how they got their name. The food was great and price was more than reasonable. I am glad to have found this place.

Me and my drunk buddies stammered in over night. I got the steak and eggs with pancakes. Super tasty and food came out quick. My coffee was constantly topped off by our lovely server. She was super nice and patient with my severely intoxicated flock of idiots and I. Food was well worth the price and it wasn’t too busy. Will definitely be returning with maybe a little less to drink beforehand XD

Great hidden gem. The food was phenomenal. The cook/waiter got our order correct and cooked it to perfection. Service was friendly and fast. The place was spotless.

We decided to go to Black and Blue for my daughter’s birthday dinner. We had never been as a family. We got a recommendation to make a reservation, so I called did. It was a great decision because we only waited a few minutes to be seated, while there was clearly other waiting for tables. The menu was good and we all found items we liked. Appetizers, we tried the mozzarella sticks, bacon wrapped chicken tenders, and calamari. I wish my calamari was warmer, but the flavor was good. Our daughters all ordered pasta bowls. They were generous portions, and leftovers were packed up. They all said they were delicious. My husband and I opted for sandwiches. Mine, pictured, is the salmon BLT. We were happy with our meal and plan to be back soon.

First time here this past week. Took my family for an occasion and was pleased. Everything was good and staff were friendly. When we left, we had forgotten a to go container and a very sweet waitress went out of her way to walk across the parking lot and give it to us. I wish I would have gotten her name, thanks girl!

Great food each time we come here. Reservations are highly recommended. Excellent selection of beer (with many local brews) & fun cocktails. Not an intimate dinner experience (if that’s what you’re looking for) but excellent for social or family dinners! Well prepared food with (usually) plenty to take home as leftovers! It is our birthday dinner go-to when in the area.

The food is really good. I always build my own burrito. I love their Cajun shredded chicken and the Spanish rice. I think they could put a little more cheese on, but that's just my opinion. I also prefer to not have my burrito grilled. I'll try and get a pic of it the next time. Their chips and cheese dip are good too.

I have always been a fan of Neato. Delicious burritos! Large portions. The flavor is great. I love the decor, especially this one has the Elvis lamp! Quick friendly service. Plenty of parking!

Every time I have gone to this location they are super friendly and make the order to my specifications perfectly. They are also full of cool recommendations if I want to try something different.

A really unique dining experience as it's Indian food that's mainly focused around eggs. And they nailed it too as I had some of the best eggs ever here. All the dishes I had were packed with flavor and I didn't have to wait long at all for them. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was clean and comfy. 100% recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area and craving Indian food!

I would re-visit this place to try out other items from their menu. The food tastes great, very friendly service, great ambiance. They have brownies with vanilla ice cream that is something I always had back home. I highly recommend trying this place out.

I recently visited Hampden Diner for breakfast and ordered the following dishes: Country Fried Steak and Eggs Eggs Benedict Country Fries The Country Fried Steak was served hot and well-prepared, but the eggs (ordered over easy) were unfortunately undercooked. The Eggs Benedict was disappointing, as it featured hard-boiled eggs and a broken Hollandaise sauce, which significantly impacted the dish's quality. On a positive note, the waitress was friendly, attentive, and very helpful, enhancing the overall dining experience despite the food-related issues.

Beautiful place with awesome food. Ordered omelet which comes with sides of home fries and toasted bread, waffle and pancakes. Everything was very good. Definitely recommend this place

A stand out diner! It is my go to whenever I go out for breakfast. The location is prime since it is right by Lowes and Home Depot. Breakfast before buying for building. Plenty of parking. Plenty of tables. Seating and service are immediate. Food comes out quickly and as ordered. The quality is high and consistent between visits. Fancy deserts case at the register. Daily specials on the board at the door. I recommend stopping in and giving it a try.
