Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Mayerthorpe – 2024

The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming smell of the cleaning agent, the second was how run down it was. The place is really clean though. Food came out hot, fast and tasty. Ken's rapport with the regulars was endearing. It's worth a stop if you're driving through.

Older business environments but staff was quick & friendly and good food made fresh. Nice portion sizes

The pizza is second to none for at least 100km around. The people are great. The atmosphere is casual and cute with gingham curtains and beautiful wood tables. Our company orders ahead for at least 5 XL pizzas at a time. They are always perfectly cooked, fresh ingredients and large amount of each topping.

We ate breakfast this morning. Food was cold. Asked for over easy eggs and got sunny side steam over. They were rubber. The bacon was see through thin. The hash browns were fast food uniformed fashion from a frozen box, they were not crispy. The waffles were not home made but again store bought. Made with addatives and preservatives, which we are not supposed to eat. Our food came out to the men in the group first, and then the women were served. Even the drinks. The French toast was very good and the sausage was good. The pricing was low, but the food wasn't restaurant quality, more fast food. I suggest the owners eat at a Smittys, white spot or humpty and see what Western canada eats in a restaurant. When I go to a restaurant. I expect made from scratch food, not a cheaper fast food, franchise food. Won't be back. Sulphite, and other preserves are dangerous to our health. If I wanted that I'd have drove to Mcdonald or Tim Hortons. There's a reason we decided to try this place over eating at Tim Hortons in town. The addatives in Tim's food ...we CAN'T EAT. SULPHITES.... ! I do not suggest anything as the cook doesn't know what an over easy egg is...

New owners make the absolute best Asian noodles I've ever had!!

A cozy spot where they make kickass reubens, and some of the best beef barley soup I've had. Definitely worth pulling off for.

Place has potential, however service lacks. Called ahead to make sure they were still serving food, they said yes. When we got there literally 2 minutes later they said food service had stopped. Lady working never once came to ask if we wanted drinks, we were the only ones there. Only allowed us to pay with cash.

They got pretty much everything, Slot Machines, Billiard Tables, Virtual Golf, a huge dance floor but it seems to always be empty, only about 3 to 4 of the usual suspects are in daily.

Small town big bar but not much business. Vlts! And pool tables. However they should renovate the place. Especially the washrooms

It was my first time going to Mayerthope and I was feeling quite hungry so I spotted this restaurant and decided to eat there, the food was immaculate the service was amazing everyone was very friendly and the portion of food that you get is insane for the price that they offer it for I was genuinely surprised. Safe to say I'd definitely drive the long distance to come again. I recommend the ice cream as well super filling and delicious :)

This was a road side visit for us. The prices are very high and do not match food quality. Example would be $25.99 for fish and chips or 6.99 for a burger that comes with nothing but you can add a side for an equator higher cost to the burger. Fries were not seasoned, nor was the fried chicken. I recommend you keep driving.

We bought a mushroom burger, chicken burger & a pinacolada shake. Friendly happy workers. Spoke little english. No problem, just point to your menue item. Good people. The MUSHROOM BURGER meat was rubbery and barely a 1/4 inch thick. The bun fell apart. The CHICKEN BURGER MEAT super thin. There was more coating on both sides than chicken, it had 2 table spoons of sauce,(WHICH I SCOUPED OUT) 1 wilted iceburge sprig, with 3 bits of fresh onion. The onion was the freshest part. The bun was not a quality texture bun. It fell apart as well. The shake tasted like EXCESSIVELY sweet milk, no flavoring. It was so bad we couldn't drink it. There was no coconut, pineapple, flavour at all. We tried, but gave up. The sugar rush was gross. We used the bathroom, which was very dirty. The soap was watered down so much, it wouldn't lather. Sink and toilet very unsanitary. Not worth the cost. We would have returned the order, but we never started to eat it for a good half hour down the cowboy trail. Then realized the poor quality. Won't be going back. Lovely people running the place thats why I gave it 1 star.
