Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Los Angeles – 2024

WOW!! We had an incredible experience at Bestia for my friends birthday. The food, ambiance, and waiters were phenomenal. I understand the hype. But honestly with how great it was, it’s definitely under hyped. We asked the waitress what she thought we should get and every dish we had was so great. Come to Bestia!!

I did love the vibe but tooooo loud to make a conversation. Our server Jason was great! Really enjoyed all the food! Highly recommend the duck liver pate. Plates are somewhat small portions. With a party of 4, we ordered about 8 menus including dessert.

We had an awesome meal here. Service was excellent and the food was even better. My wife does not drink alcohol so the bartender made her a mocktail that was delicious. We ate outside and that is a better place to eat if you want to have a conversation. Inside the main restaurant was very loud due to the music volume.

I stumbled upon this charming restaurant while waiting for the doors to open at the Pantages Theater. It had a roaring 20s vibe and was gorgeous inside. My partner and I ordered burgers, the 33 Taps burger for him and the Burger Royale for me, plus a side of fries (which was large enough for 2 people) I substituted my meat patty with the Impossible meat for $2 and added lettuce, tomatoes & pickles. It was delicious. One caveat. My burger was supposed to have caramelized onions, and while it may have had it, I did not taste it. I think they forgot to add it. The restaurant played lively music, which gave it great atmosphere. Wait staff was also very attentive. Will definitely return next time I have a musical at the Pantages to attend.

We stopped by Birdcage Restaurant in Hollywood to eat light dinner our play, Come From Away, at the Pantages Theater. This is a pre-theater dining place with a lively vibe. Their menu options were limited as the restaurant opens when the theater runs. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and burrata and beet salad and both dishes were of small portions but exceeded our expectations. They were well prepared and savory. This restaurant appeared to be short staffed as the same guy who walked us to our table had three roles to play: greeter, waiter and bus boy. Poor guy! Unmanaged waiter was just way over their head but tried hard to be attentive. This restaurant has a 5% administration charge which were not the tips or surcharges. Our group found this 5% administration charge unacceptable.

This is one of the few massively disappointing restaurants that I've been to. I can't recommend anything. Everyone in my family got something different and no one enjoyed anything. We were all very hungry when we sat down to eat and we left most of our food uneaten. In my case, it was way overcooked. I had the chicken and biscuits. The biscuits were burned, the chicken was dry, the pickles were bad, and the maple glaze seemed non-existant. It wasn't worth sending back because I had no faith that it would come back any better. My daughters sandwich was incredibly dry and basic and made incorrectly. My other daughter's hamburger was overcooked. The fries were edible. The service was very bad, the restaurant was fairly slow, so we were seated very quickly. Once seated, we had to wait 20 minutes to have our order taken. It took 30-40 minutes to get our food. Our server didn't check on us once to see how the food was after it arrived. When he eventually made it to the table we asked for the bill, which took another 15 minutes to get. They weren't busy and a lot of the staff were just standing around. We left over half of our meals uneaten and we had to pick up a pizza on the way home.

Exceptional. I travel and dine constantly…this is the best food and dining experience I’ve had in 2024. Full stop. Can I say exceptional again? Everything we had was delicious and differentiated. You can’t make a bad selection…you must try the tomahawk pork chop. The waiter was also on point and very knowledgeable. Look forward to returning the next time I am in LA.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of marriage! We indulged in excellent food, superb quality! COzy AND chill, low lit LIGHTS KIND OF vibes. Great wine selection. It's a great place for date night or just getting your best group of friends together for some really good sharable plates. We will be back! The pork chop was the winner!

Meat-centric Italian spot that’s a sister restaurant of Osteria Mozza. Came here for dinner and made a reservation online for 5:30 for four people. Indoor dining only. Valet parking available as well as street parking. We split the charcuterie board, little gem salad, porcini rubbed short ribs, pollo a la diavola, beef and bone marrow pie, broccolini, and pane Bianco. Definitely not the restaurant to go to when you’re a vegan/vegetarian. The food was all rich and very tasty. My favorites were the short ribs and the pollo. The food came out as it was ready. Our waiter was effusive and everyone checked in frequently. There was one table that good for a big group. We had leftovers for the following day which still kept well. We had the chocolate tart for dessert and they gave us complimentary spoonfuls of strawberry gelato. Overall, a good restaurant for a hearty meal and for a special occasion.

Had a lovely meal here, just don't get the pork chop! Great ambiance and attentive service. Love that the ceiling is open but the temperature is perfect. The drinks were wonderful, John Dory was the best item we ordered, broccolini was also very tasty, but the pork chop was very disappointing. Hard to chew, too sweet, good presentation but otherwise, much regret.

Whatever you do, do not choose the lounge for seating. It doesn’t seem that there is any dedicated service in the lounge vs the main dining area. I initially reserved the main dining area for a party of 6, but was moved to the lounge when I changed my party to 8 guests. The waiter rarely stopped by and I had to step away to ask someone to take our orders. Stepped away again to ask about our food. Probably took over an hour to get our food, this is quite stressful when we have a toddler in our party. And finally a crazy bday cake mixup catastrophe. The manager offered to comp our whole meal, which was quite generous in my opinion, I didn’t expect that at all. But was it a great experience? Still not great. Redbird is still one of my favorite places to go, but beware of being seated in the lounge.

Love the open air feel of the space with the high ceilings. The roof was opened up during the morning brunch which just enhanced the feel of the room. The staff here worked together in a seamless way to take orders, deliver food and beverages and keep waterglasses full. We were seated quickly in the main dining room at the time of our reservation. The brunch cocktails were excellent, really nicely balanced mixology that felt refreshing and light. The Redeye, Good Morning Vietnam, and Nogada were all delicious. The food here was phenomenal. We ordered the BLD Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes and a side of Applewood Smoked Bacon to share and then each had an entree (Short Rib Hash, Duck Confit Chilaquiles, and Frittata). All of the main dishes were excellent, the bacon could have been a little crispier (we asked for it to come out crispy and it was maybe 60% there) but was still high quality excellent bacon. We each shared tastes of the entrees and all of them were delicious, hearty, and perfectly flavored. A wonderful brunch spot; would love to come back for dinner!

Lovely diner with juke box were you can select a song for 25c. We have visited several times this week for burrito, toast, waffle, burger and sandwich, vanilla shake, pop, tea and coffee. We have enjoyed all of our food and drinks. Some staff are more attentive than others, refilling drinks and very smiley. On occasion I didn't get the tea bag for my tea just hot water , I had to ask for it and several times our drinks were not refilled. Food tastes good but a little expensive but then were are in Hollywood therefore we found the prices average for the area. Would recommend.

Fun diner with old school feel. Good traditional American fare. Large portions. I had a Denver Omelette and my wife had a club sandwich. Both were excellent. The fries and potatoes that came with each were also good.

Great Old Fashioned place to eat with new aged Arnold Schwarzenegger power shake, only comes in chocolate flavor but it was good. Waitress was Kimberly or such, she was 10 of 10 and she is great with service toward the kid and made them feel important aswell, thank you!. Food was also all correct as ordered. Also good location.

Food is very good. We tried 4 plates, each was very unique and tasty. I liked the pork belly. The crumpets were amazing. Service was solid, but did not check back quite enough. The atmosphere was positive and thriving. They have a nice outdoor patio available for dining.

Absolutely delicious every single time. Creative dishes that work magic with the flavor combos and my two year old and 9 year old both tried and loved everything we ordered. I usually love the savory dishes but what surprised me was how much I also loved that gooey cinnamon bun! It was amazing. We polished off every dish. This is our first brunch but we’ve also tried their dinner menu before. Service was speedy and great.

Food was really interesting! Everything we tried was delicious, nothing we tried we've tried before someplace else, so it was really cool to explore the menu. The service was pleasant and the vibe in general was very good. We had a lovely dinner and would definitely recommend this place. 10/10 would come again.

one the of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Service was quick, host and waiter were very cordial and pleasant. I really enjoyed the ambiance and must mention the restrooms are top notch in cleanliness and style. I will definitely come back

It was so very nice to have brunch at Bottega Louie. The waffle is scrumptious. It has a cake texture and the Chantilly cream is delicious. Let me say that it was a treat when I dabbed what remained of my oat milk mocha with a small square of waffle. The smoked salmon eggs benedict caught me off guard with its hash brown potatoes as a fine replacement to the English muffin. Regardless of what time of day it is reserve a table online. I look forward to visiting Bottega Louie again in the near future.

Bottega Louie is an excellent spot for food lovers! The restaurant offers exquisite cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. Each dish is a true work of art, and the desserts are simply delightful. The service is top-notch: the staff is attentive and friendly. It’s always a pleasure to spend time here, enjoying great food and wonderful service. Highly recommend it to everyone!

Amazing building with a tall ceiling, I got attracted to the beautiful big mural art, open fire pit kitchen, the patio, bar and dining area. Everything here are tasty and remarkable. In particular, the fried calamari are nicely battered golden, crispy and delicious. And the handmade pasta, oh mine, so fresh and smooth. Cocktails are tasty and tasty. Overall, everything is great and will definitely come back and highly recommend to everyone. If the locals dine here, you know you are at the right spot.

We went there for a birthday celebration on a Sunday night. The plaza is pretty safe and clean. They have a valet parking. You can use paid street parking too. The outdoor seating area is large. We sat inside and the deco is very inviting. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The pricing is pretty affordable. I recommend Hugo cocktail. Bread is amazing. We ordered olives, grilled Branzino and home made pasta. Our stomach was so full so we did not order any desserts. However, they insisted on bringing us a delicious ice cream and a candle which was so sweet of them❤️thank you so much for a memorable night!!

The service & food is always top notch here! Depending on how you feel, dining in the bar area is always a winner. You can receive the same food & it may even be slightly cheaper if it falls within the time for happy hour. My go to is the Caesar Salad with Salmon, as pictured, Sweet Chili Calamari & a nice cocktail.

I went to Fleming's before a concert at the Peacock Theater in LA Live. I love steakhouses and dine at them regularly, and I would consider this a good steakhouse overall. The food was really good and the cocktails were nice and balanced. We had a bit of an issue with getting seated and serviced initially, but the service definitely improved throughout the dining experience. It was a bit louder than I would say a typical steakhouse is, but I assume that's the area it's located and the fact that there were events in L.A. Live. I would want to come back to try it out again.

First time eating here was on 2/24/2024. It was fantastic food and a great experience. Our table split a couple sharable sides. The first item was the Fleming's Potatoes, which to me was a very rich and flavorful au gratin type of dish. The second item was the crab cakes. I have never had a crab cake before, and I think these spoiled them from here on out. They were jam packed with crab, seared perfectly, and the red pepper and lime sauce was perfect with them. The third item was the flash fried brussels sprouts. I have had brussels sprouts before, but these were the best I have ever had. The crispy texture, along with the sauce that was on it was perfect. I can only guess what was on them, but it tasted like balsamic vinaigrette with either honey or brown sugar. I will have to try and figure out how to cook these at home! For dinner I had the Main Filet Mignon with the Diablo Shrimp on top. The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth! Accompanying dinner they served nice fresh bread with 2 different butters. The first one was a champagne infused butter, and the second was a cheddar and herb butter. Both were fantastic, but if I had to choose I would take the champagne butter any day. The other two dishes we had was the Petite Filet Mignon and the Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. I do not have pictures of those two dishes, but I was told that both dishes were fantastic! I would return here again, but I would reserve it for a special occasion or anniversary. It is fantastic food, just not something that can be afforded on a regular basis.

First time at this restaurant. We loved our dinner experience here. We ordered the following: 1. La Buratta- delish 2. Ahi Tuna Tartare - loved it, highly recommend 3. Sea bass - loved it as well. 4. Affogato 5. Latte Overall highly recommend this spot for dinner.

Drago was the perfect place for my friend’s graduation dinner. They have a private room which we rented out for about 30 guests. It fit 5 tables of 6 people. We also had an outside area with heaters and tall tables for mingling. The staff was incredible and amazing service. On top of that the food and drinks were 11/10. We had a preset 4-course menu with two options to pick from for each course. I had the burrata and heirloom salad, wild mushroom risotto, NY steak with fingerling potatoes and broccoli and the tiramisu. The portions were perfect and the taste was incredible. Also had a dirty vodka martini and espresso martini. Both were great! The espresso martini is at the top of my list for best espresso tinis I have had.

Celebrated the twins birthday here with family! It was a great vibe! Great food! Semone’ did a great job serving a party of 14. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but overall it was a great experience. We will definitely be going back. Alfonso at the bar makes a wonderful Espresso Martini! Tell him MEL sent you! Hehe

Walk by often and decided to stop in on a Sunday evening. It was nearly empty, I wasn't sure if they were even open. Due to this, service was very attentive and I loved our cocktails. The food was hit or miss, the crab risotto and the tuna starter were disappointing, but the crab cake and my partner's mushroom risotto side were amazing. The ambiance is interesting and something to comment on, but the artwork cheapens the atmosphere imo. Also, they keep it pretty chilly in there, if you get cold easily, definitely bring a sweater!

We had an event downtown and wanted a solid, upscale, amazing restaurant downtown. The Palm did not disappoint ! We were so bummed when the palm Beverly Hills closed and this made up for it 10 fold. Our waiter Peter was extra attentive, knowledgeable, and awesome ! LOVE HIM!!! The food was stellar , and the room was warm, large and inviting We aren’t downtown that often for dinner but what a great option!!! Love it!!! We will be back!!! Stellar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Palm location is consistent with most of the other locations I've visited. Similar decor, seating, and atmosphere. Service was pretty good, but with a couple of notable exceptions. When greeted, we were offered "a large bottle of water for the table." I wasn't clear if this meant tap water or purchasing bottled water for a fee, so I asked and it was the latter. Felt a little slippery to me. Also, our entrees took a lot longer than what was communicated to us, but I think that's because when we sat down the place was nearly empty and 20 minutes later it was busy. The drinks were very good; I ordered the Moscow Mule. Wedge salad was enjoyable and the stuffed sea bass was also well prepared. A better variety of dessert options would have been nice. I would return again.

An amazing restaurant located close to Little Tokyo, this restaurant offers an elegant menu with high quality ingredients. The staff is amazing, the food was delicious, and the cocktails the perfect amount of alcohol in them. Definitely one of my top restaurants to recommend!

Good food and service with great views. Overall a nice experience having dinner at West. Tapas style small plates. Some were very small, like the asian wraps, and others were decent size like the meatballs. Service nothing fancy but friendly and prompt. Awesome views of the mountains, ocean, and most of the LA basin. Parking valet cost was validated for 2hrs or less.

Whenever I travel from the east coast to the Los Angeles area, I have dinner at West. The food is well presented and consistent, and I like the new tapas-style options. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and extremely attentive. They give you the time and space to enjoy your meal and company, which I appreciate since I am typically there for business. Additionally, the panoramic view of the city, especially at night is absolutely beautiful! West is definitely a "go to" for me!

Loved the food and the view! We made reservations for brunch... But didn't need them. We enjoyed great service and a beautiful morning view. I had almond crusted French toast and Jay had a choose-your-own-ingtedients scramble. Super tasty! I loved the fresh berries and the crisp toasted almond batter on the toast. The drip coffee was also delicious and it always tastes better when the cream comes out of a nice pitcher doesn't it? Next time we are in town we'll definitely check out the happy hour up here.

Very nice atmosphere, well-kept and themed furniture. Pleasant table overlooking the window. The food instead very particular, I appreciated the pomp tentacle and the pork fillet with bacon, the fruit dessert instead excessively acidic and full of vanilla, I had to leave it. Impeccable service, prices slightly above average, but acceptable.

71 Above was excellent!!! Definitely a little bit on the pricey side, but well worth it!!! Where else can you get the experience of being on the 71st floor gorgeous view and delicious food!! Went there for my mom‘s birthday. Now we want to go for my sisters and my own birthday!!! Also when we got there, we couldn’t get a window seat, but we talked to our waiter and during dessert he said we could place you by a window seat so even after a halfway after the meal, they gave us a window seat thank you so much 71above.!!!!

Try to visit when I am in town. Stopped in for happy hour before dinner reservation. Cocktails were excellent and food was too. Service was beyond fast. I would have liked a little slowdown to sit and enjoy. Total dining seated time for 3 courses was just over 30 minutes. All in would definitely recommend.

I came here for the first time with friends for brunch. If you arrive before they open, there is a line downstairs on the street they have you wait at. There’s an elevator to take up to the restaurant area. The dining area is nice, lots of open space and city views. The food is okay, could’ve been better but it’s okay for a brunch. I ordered the avocado toast. It was a bit tasteless. If I visit again I may try something else. The drinks were good from what I hear. After ordering at the restaurant, we went up to the rooftop where the views are spectacular. There’s a bar and a couple restrooms, as well as spaces to sit. Definitely a must go for the views.

I truly enjoyed my experience at perch. I arrived during the happy hour around 4 PM. This was the perfect time to go. The restaurant wasn’t really crowded and we got one of the best seats in the restaurant that overlooked the city. Not only was the view awesome, but the food was also very delicious. I recommend coming during the happy hour honestly because you get the opportunity to order a little bit of this and a little bit of that. During this time you can order from their happy hour menu and fromfrom the dinner menu.
