Great food. Lots of Indian options with a twist. We ordered the rice and salad bowl with butter chicken, Samosa Chaat and Mango Lassi. Food was very tasty and good portion size. The service was one of the best experiences my wife and myself have had anywhere in Canada. Anand was very welcoming and took great time and effort to explain everything on the menu and made meaningful conversation with us as well as all other customers that followed. We would wholeheartedly recommend this place for the food and the service as well.
Excellent food, excellent service. They had a great deal on : 5.50$ for a small wrap. Hard to get high quality food for that price. Try it out!
Try out it's the best Indian food Lindsay you could ever get... Authentic Best service And chilling vibe the service is really awesome
One Eyed Jack Pub & Grill in Lindsay is a vibrant and inviting establishment that combines the warmth of a traditional pub with the energetic atmosphere of a modern grill….
Fantastic place to stop for a bite to eat or a pint. We stopped here on our way back to Emily provincial park, so glad we did. The food was fantastic, our server was delightful and the beer was cold. The menu is huge with tons of great options. Thanks to the staff at one eyed Jacks for a great meal and evening.
Kestin is an AMAZING server, loved her! We stopped for a drink and snack before our show at Flato Theatre and then for dinner after the show. Great drink selection, good food with big portions. Haloumi fries were super good, braised beef Mac and cheese was excellent (often order Mac and cheese when out and usually disappointed, but not this time - tons of cheese and a huge chunk of perfectly prepared braised beef). Wings are huge. Garlic bread had tons of cheese and big pieces of bacon but was soggy.
The pub is providing a variety of options on the menu, including vegan and gluten-free. I would like to note a great customer service! We mentioned to the server, Jennifer, that one of us found his dish to be overly salty to his taste preferences, and she fixed the issue quickly and politely. Thank you, we had a great time!

Just a typical diner, nothing fancy... but great food, big portions, good prices, friendly service and lots of parking. Had the Triple Diner Breakfast and French Toast, both were excellent.
We stopped here mostly by accident and discovered some good, filling food. The service isn't the fastest, but it is good and the staff are friendly. Probably they were busy with things we couldn't see is all. The fries with the meal were hot and fresh. The sandwiches were hot and generous. We had a toasted western and a farmhouse club. I may not be in the area often but I would definitely stop and eat here again.
The food is really good, the portions are good sized for the price, and the staff is friendly. I wish they were open a little later than 2. But other than that, no complaints.
Pie Eyed Monk is a unique and inviting establishment that blends the charm of a cozy café with the vibrancy of a modern eatery, creating a delightful dining experience for all….
We came to Lindsay today to do some Christmas browsing. Shopping makes you hungry So being that we were in a strange town, I asked a local couple if they could recommend a place that we could go for dinner and they told me we definitely had to go to the Pie Eyed Monk. Boy oh boy they were not wrong. Everything was fantabulous!! The building is beautiful and provided a lovely atmosphere Allyssa our server went above and beyond to make our first visit here top notch. Friendly, funny and very attentive. She alone gets 10 stars. The cocktails were delicious We had peach sangria, raspberry lemon drop and their own Lindsay light beer. The food was scrumptious Corn chowder - gets 20 OMG’s because I think I said that after every mouthful Autunno pizza - 2 snaps up in a Z formation! So Fresh and tasty!! Yumm- oh! Beef and Brisket Lasagna - where have you been all my life? Absolutely heavenly!! Chicken wrap and fries - classic pub food, done to perfection The desert was divine. We sampled it all Vanilla bean crème brûlée, cheesecake, and a chocolate brownie with homemade ice cream. So Freaking Good Bravo to everyone in this establishment both front and back of house. You are all doing a great job The potions were very generous Piping hot and delicious We will definitely add this restaurant to our list of places we must return to.
First time visit for us. Fantastic old building steeped in history. Hope to come back to check out the brewery downstairs. Tastefully decorated with respect to the building's history. The front of house and our server were friendly and professional. Service was fas and attentive but not pushy. Hubby had the fish tacos. Loved them so much he had a second order. I had the chicken sandwich with sriracha sauce. Perfect balance. Fries were tasty too! No room for dessert maybe next time. Parking lot around side of building.
Stopped in for a drink and a snack before a show at Flato theatre - FANTASTIC!!! Incredible atmosphere, fast service, huge drink selection, and tasty food! There's a huge room up stairs that could host a wedding or other large party.

Needed a dog friendly place to sit on a patio and have a quick bite. No complaints. Mission accomplished. Happy bellies. Perogies were good with tasty toppings and sour cream. Daughter enjoyed her wings and sweet potato fries. Super sweet waitress gave the dog a bowl of water without asking and told Honey she was a good girl. So tail wags from her too! Well done, Lindsay!
It's great to have Chef Joel's menu available. He changes it every few months, so there are always new high-end dishes to try. The butternut squash ravioli was excellent.
Ordered perogies didn't get any onions or bacon on them. Paid basically 20 bucks for them. Not worth it at all Definitely won't be coming back

It is an out of the way place that looked dark at first but the hostess Kitty and the food made the experience well worth it and brightened up the whole place. The portion sizes are hefty so come hungry and the seasonings used for the fries by the chef are delicious and the meat is cooked well. It is a secret recipe which was disappointing but just means gotta keep coming back. I can just keep rambling but definitely try for yourself!
Unfortunately this was a terrible experience. I used to love coming here under old management but under new owners it's no longer palatable. My mother had lasagna - there was barely any cheese and no tomato sauce. She literally had to put ketchup on it to make it easier to eat. Even then she only ate less than 1/4 of what was there. My daughter had pancakes that were dry and lumpy and undercooked. My child, who is autistic, refused to eat it so I had to take her out to our car and give her snacks until we made it back to our home. I had asked what was in their chicken wrap I was told chicken, lettuce and mayo - when it came there was so much oil and vinaigrette that when I picked it up it ran out of my wrap and all over the table and ruined my top. There were only three small pieces of chicken and I left 3/4 of it uneaten because there was no more chicken and so much vinegar taste I started to choke. At the end of the meal the new owner told my mother "you're just not used to my cooking" when she complained about the quality of the food. The entire meal was almost $70 and we barely ate anything nor was anything comped nor did the owner apologize for our poor dining experience. We used to love coming here and it was always busy, especially on a holiday weekend, but now we know why the restaurant was empty except for us. What was once a hidden gem is gone.
One of the best breakfast meals out we’ve had-and we’ve had a lot over the years! We each ordered our eggs cooked differently, and both orders were perfect. Toast made from locally sourced exceptional whole wheat bread. Excellent home fries. Excellent pea-meal bacon. The server was kind, genuine and friendly. We live in a larger city, and will definitely return to Neabors next time we visit Lindsay. Looking forward to eating there again

I absolutely love visiting this restaurant! The atmosphere is phenomenal making it feel very fancy! The food is amazing and well priced. The service has always been wonderful and the lunch menu is also a great option! I will continue enjoying what Gusto Grande has to offer. What a lovely addition to downtown Lindsay.
What a gem in Lindsay! We stumbled upon it during a road trip, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious with generous portions. We particularly enjoyed the Calamari Diavola and the Fungi Pizza—they were fantastic! The risotto was just okay, but that didn’t take away from our overall experience. We were too full to try dessert, but we’ll definitely be back for that! The interior is beautifully done, making it a perfect spot for celebrations.
I recently visited Gusto Grande with Family and ordered the Pollo Al Rose, Firenze Pasta, and Chicken Alfredo. While the food tasted great, I was surprised by the portion sizes—they were really, really small, especially considering the price. We also ordered the Fungi and Margarita Pizza, and I must say, the pizza was excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. However, the portion size of the pasta dishes left me disappointed.

I ordered a greek salad with chicken, cost $17 for this little salad and NO chicken, apprently it's another $9 for chicken, even tho I asked for chicken when I ordered. Staff was on another planet, and other staff were going on about what other restaurants in Lindsay they wanna eat at. I should have known then to run. If staff won't eat there, I shouldn't either. Salad wasn't even worth the money, and I will not ever return here. I'm not recommending this place. To the restaurants response: I was not rude in any way. Also, I am not the female you are confusing me with. I am Caucasian and that lady was clearly mixed race.
I ordered a Greek burger and 8oz steak and raspberry cheese! All I can say is the service is outstanding and great! Atmosphere is amazing and vibe! Will come back again First time here
I had the delightful opportunity to dine at the Olympia on a recent visit to the area. I had the steak dinner special with ample sides; perfectly seasoned and prepared as per my request. There was a local jazz ensemble performing a variety of classic and contemporary tunes. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. As busy as it was, a packed house ; the server, bartender and owner ensured that we were well taken care of. The Baklava cheesecake was so decadent and delicious. I will definitely return when I am back in Lindsay.

If you're looking for a great spot to unwind after a long drive, this restaurant is a perfect choice. The food is delicious, offering a variety of options that cater to different tastes. The ambiance is inviting and tranquil, making it easy to relax and recharge. Service is attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, it's an ideal pit stop for anyone needing a break on the road. Highly recommended!
It’sa good food and a Lindsay location very nice people working. I enjoy with my family. And reasonable price.
Have been to a couple of Symposium Cafe. This one has to be the best one I have been to. They customised my Fettuccine Alfredo to Red Sauce and it was amazing and so was the Grilled Vegetable Flatbread. Over all was an amazing time. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I felt for something different so I was looking at the menu of Castle John Lindsay to find something I haven't tried before and settled on the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap, Greek Salad and the Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie. I thought for sure based on the reviews that I would love it but I didn't. I really didn't taste much of the chicken flavour. Don't get me wrong the presentation of the food was good but, my wrap this day was not good. I enjoyed the fries and the Greek Salad was good. After what I could eat I thought I would love the Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie but, all I saw was a lot of chocolate syrup and hardly tasted the Peanut Butter. I was disappointed. The review on the wrap inspired me to order it but I regretted. Castle John has some good items on the menu but, I guess my taste buds are different then previous orders. I do order from time to time but, it will be time for sure. Included pictures
We had a wonderful experience. Our family was very impressed with Mel and she couldn't do enough for us. Brothers sisters, and a few nieces got together, at the last minute. (16 of us) The food was hot, delicious and plentiful.
Had a great lunch experience at Castle Johns Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Had great service and great food. Our waitress had the best of the tragically hip playing on the restaurant speaker system and it was awesome. Everything was A+. Will return for sure.

We had a fabulous experience on a rare night out for us. The service by the awesome Adam, formerly from Hobart's was, as usual, impeccable. He even changed the music to something he knew we would appreciate. Limited selection but we appreciated being able to taste between two wines before ordering. Salad was absolutely delicious and the entrees were served hot and nicely prepared but for a slight bobble on one of the side dishes. The atmosphere was lovely and I highly recommend this restaurant for the overall joy of dining out.
UPDATE #2: The owners response was a lot of excuses and tried to use the fine dining excuse as the excuse for the wait. Not at all do they mention the overcooked steaks that were clearly under a heat lamp, dry burger, and undercooked pizzas. Don't go here. UPDATE: Two of the people in our group got food poisoning from dinner. What a way to cap off the experience. I've had some bad experiences, but this takes the cake. It took us 25 minutes to get our drinks and over two hours to get our food. What did we get? Undercooked pizza and mediocre food. If you're charging $20-35 per dish, have some good service and have the food come at a reasonable time. Did they do anything as compensation for the two-hour wait? Nope, just the bill, which was probably the fastest part of the service we received the entire evening. If it wasn't for the fact that we were here for a group, I would have left. If you want to have a nice dinner, literally go anywhere but here. What a waste of time and money.
Had a delicious meal tonight at the bistro. The smash burger was delicious and the bananas foster was amazing. So nice to have food that is locally made and sourced. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely.

Inside was way too hot. Ordered a 5oz steak cooked medium and it arrived looking like a scrap. It was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Service was almost non-existent and was never asked how our meal was — simply asked “do you need anything?” Not to mention it seemed go take way too long to offer drinks, take orders etc. Disappointing to spend over $100 on a dinner that was much less than enjoyable.
Expensive for what they offer. Especially when you usually get the same thing and each time you order it , it tastes even worse. The chicken did not taste like it was edible. It either was undercooked or their chicken has changed and its not real or something because yuck. And usually I don't get romaine lettuce in my chicken goat cheese (spinach!) salad but tonight I did. Edit: got sick after eating..... something was not right with this salad.
First time coming back in a while. The new look is amazing! Open and spacious but still comfortable! Their salmon dish has gotten better from what it was before. Adding the Mediterranean flare to it was definitely the right choice.

2nd visit for breakfast and just as good as the first! Don't let the outside look fool you. The food is great and well varied options. Staff (owners??) friendly and helpful. Whereas most restaurants prices are now through the roof these were still reasonable and the food was great. You could also get liquor and beer for easily under $10. Highly recommend.
Really great selection on the menu, with amazing affordability. The food was prepared well, using good quality ingredients (you could tell the fryer oil was clean, which always indicates a good restaurant!). The portions were really generous for the price point too! The service was also amazing (I doubt my mom will sleep tonight after the amount of coffee refills she had, lol), and the restaurant and bathrooms were really clean too. I will definitely be back!!!
Does the owner not realize that one bad experience handled poorly can turn off a customer for life? I’ve been coming to Queen’s bistro for a year, about 3 times a week on average, sometimes more. The food is generally good, reasonably priced, and so forth. My family has never had reason to complain about our meals over all those visits (I ignore minor issues) - we’re good, regular customers, and today was literally my first time having an issue. Today, the veal in the veal parm was dry and overcooked like jerky. It literally could not be cut with a steak knife. I was simply hoping to get a new piece. The chef/owner outright refused, saying he put extra on the plate. Well, there was one small piece and one larger piece. The smaller piece was dry but edible. The larger piece was the aforementioned jerky. But since he put “extra”, we were ineligible to get the inedible piece replaced. No chef should have been happy with what was put on the plate. And if you’re going to put it on the plate, then you should stand by it and ensure your customer is happy. Not insult them by telling them that the garbage you served was you being generous, and essentially making us feel like we should be thankful for the right to be your customers. Do better, guys. You were given multiple opportunities in-restaurant to correct the issue in ANY way. You did nothing but succeed in turning off a regular customer.

Review 2: 3rd time coming here. Yorkie is still delicious, Guinness is still delicious and Michelle is still awesome. We drive from 45min away just to come for dinner. Well worth the trip! Highly recommend. Review 1: What a great place! A local recommended it and it did not disappoint! Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, funny and on top of it (Michelle, Chelsea and Lisa). The food was good from the appetizer to dessert. More importantly the Guinness was good lol. Michelle was our server but if someone else walked by they would check on us. Very welcoming and also very clean! We will definitely be back!!!
I came with my friend my last time visiting Lindsay from BC and had to come back this visit. The Yorkie appy is so delicious! Again we received tremendous service and food. We sat by the fireplace which made things very cozy and comfortable. The staff is remarkable and the food is outstanding. Prices are reasonable as well. I already look forward to my next visit! Thank you so much.
Clean, and warm atmosphere. We really enjoyed our fish and chips while visiting from out of town. Highly recommend for at least lunch if you can swing it!

We tried Turkey Panini with a side of Greek Salad. It was good, I love the spread in the panini. I also loved the greek salad because the dressing is so flavorful. I was just a bit disappointed because they don’t have olives in their Greek Salad. It could have been better if it had olives. The carrot cake was so delicious!
Beautiful spot! Busy! My sister and I were there for lunch last Friday and were lucky to get a spot… because we saw them have to turn people away because it was full. Definitely, one of Lindsay’s best restaurants. I am sure you can most days just walk in… but if you are set on it, make a reservation. The service was friendly, quick and perfect. The atmosphere… open, beautiful old Brick walls, the buzz is friendly, welcoming and alive! There was a sitting area with a cozy couch etc as well… seriously, the only thing they may be missing is a fireplace! The food…. Oh my, the food! We ordered panini’s and the homemade soup. I also had a latte and we were so impressed! And all the food coming out looked amazing and you could see people enjoying their meal and experience. One of my new favourite spots for sure. And it’s delicious, made fresh food. I can’t wait to go back to get a coffee and chill! And also to go for more meals with friends and family. New location on the Main Street (Kent) is great.
Absolutely delicious Tuscan and Guac pininis on sourdough!! Great service! Lovely decor!
