Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Kimberley – 2024

Arrived around 6:45 and they said it would be 30 minutes. We walked the town, went back and they sat us immediately. Had the meatball appetizer; OUTSTANDING, DELICIOUS, YUM. Had the pepperoni pizza; it could have been cooked another minute or two for perfection. We think they were a little light on the pizza sauce. The staff were great; friendly, knowledgeable and still in a good mood even though they were crazy busy.

Classic thin crust Italian style pizza. It is very good. We got the turkey dinner pizza which was shockingly good and margarita pizza which was okay. As well a few people got pastas which were a bit less good than the pizzas but still okay. There is live music as well but it was a bit loud and not my favourite.

Without question, Stonefire knows how to make an amazing pizza. A must try if you visit Kimberley. We were there on Thanksgiving weekend and they had a special Thanksgiving Dinner pizza that had all the toppings you'd expect. Very different, but also delicious.

I was not expecting such a delightful experience. The atmosphere is just right. I had the aged beef, and I cannot recommend it enough—possibly one of the best steak dishes I’ve had in years. Make sure that you book ahead.

A very cozy and unique German restaurant in this area of British Columbia. The German sausages, potatoes, and sauerkraut were delicious; a nice Oktoberfest dinner. The dessert was pretty good too.

When we got there, we were not acknowledged for a good 10 minutes, but when they did finally seat us, our server Chad took extremely good care of us. The meal was extremely good, and even my husband was able to find a nice meal he could have with his dairy allergy. Chad made some very good suggestions for us and we were very impressed. It would have been nice if there were more options for people who can't have dairy, but as I said, we managed okay and were very pleased with the meal. We will be back for sure.

Great little shop and bistro in a mountain town. Back patio was quite and shaded, just what we need from the busy day of walking and shopping around town in the hot sun. Food was fresh and so good with great healthy choice. Staff was friendly and inviting, would recommend to anyone!

The ambiance of eating lunch in a glass shop with a tiny water fountain at your table and classic rock hits playing in the distance—it’s amazing. We got two rice bowls with delicious flavors and elements. Absolutely incredible!

Update June 2022, the bistro has been up and running inside the glass shop for a few months now and it's tastey goodness. Patio was recently updated, quiet and peaceful under the trees, a great backdrop while you sip and snack. Review below still applies, they have allsorts of fun and interesting glass and smoke accessories, and the owners are still awesome as ever Best glass shop in the area! Some Higher end stuff that really is not only beautiful to look at but super functional too. I love my new bong made by a BC artist (Gibson's glass works in pictures)They also carry a lineup of items that are lower priced as well. Every piece seems to have a story behind it! I am not very open about my medical use of cannabis, but The owner Diana is very personable and I was comfortable enough to open up and talk about a passion we share. Mountain Grass not only has amazing bongs and dab rigs but really cool pipes and accessories. Including a whole lineup of pipes that are animal themed, we got a narwhal, a fricken narwhal! The cleaning supplies are also top notch and has me moving away from cleaning with iso. We also picked up some great futo dugouts (wood box's in picture). If you don't know what they are stop in and ask Diana, they are the best portable enjoyment device But wait there is more, somehow she has squeezed glass bears, hummingbirds, cool vases, and the best selection of handmade, amazing, liquor/beer/wine glasses, you have to stop in just to admire all the artistry. And don't forget about the hand painted china pieces that incorporate voodoo dolls that you are welcomed to pick up a pin and try your hand at a little spell making If that was not enough Mountain Grass is bringing in other artists into town to show off their passion and bring some different ideas into Kimberley. This little glass shop should become a local favorite very soon.

Sat on the creekside. Nice view of the river. Ordered fish and chips. Big pieces cooked perfectly. Coleslaw was excellent. Tarter sauce was watery, but had a good taste. Restaurant had 4 tables with people but waitress never checked on tables to see if food was goid or anything else wanted by the customers. Will return again for the good food.

Dined at Charcoal Restaurant and tried both the chicken and prawns biryani. While the chicken biryani had a reasonable protein portion, the prawns biryani was a letdown. For $22, I received only five prawns buried in a large portion of rice. Given the $3 price difference from the chicken option, I expected more value. When I raised the issue, the customer service response was unsatisfactory. Although the server brought it to the kitchen's attention, they offered no solution, only an explanation that '5-6 prawns' were added. Disappointed with both the quality and customer service.

Today was our first time to Charcoal restaurant. On Fridays they have a buffet of Indian food, with many different choices. Everything that I had was very good fresh. My daughter ordered a burger with fries. She was very pleased with the amount of fries and the size of the burger. The service was fantastic, we will definitely be back.

Was the best meal I’ve had in quite awhile. Biked from Cranbrook, and let me tell you… I’d do it again even in a blizzard storm bare foot just to come here again. Food was unreal. The ribs were so good, cornbread was out of this world. Mac and cheese was better than any I’ve ever had. Great service. Amazing food. Very very yummy paralyzers. If I’m ever back this way I’m ALWAYS coming to this spot. Wow. I’m having flash back memories and I’m drooling BEST PLACE IN KIMBERLY, No doubt.

I am honestly at a loss for words after our recent experience at The Shed. We mistakenly had our dog on the patio, not realizing it wasn’t allowed due to the poor signage being behind us. We were just served our drinks and were having to rush out and were doing our best to enjoy our beers. My partner was left outside, unable to enjoy his beer while we hurried to comply. The service that followed was filled with snarky comments, which made an uncomfortable situation even worse. It was clear there was no understanding or compassion for our honest mistake. As a fellow server, I know that a simple, kind approach could have turned this around. Instead, we were met with a dismissive attitude and felt rushed out the door. I chose not to leave a tip because we barely had a chance to enjoy our drinks, and the service was disappointing at best. When she saw I didn’t leave a tip we were met with a scoff and rudely being told “some dogs aren’t patio dogs” This was honestly the worst dining experience I’ve had, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. Some servers just aren’t meant to be servers :) happy thanksgiving.

This is the coolest place we've found yet. Its got a great vibe and the food is AMAZING! If its busy be prepared to wait a bit as its a smaller place, but its 100% worth the wait. The staff are attentive and easy going. Everyone there had a fun attitude. The decor is fun and inviting. They've thought of everything to make people feel like they're hanging out at a relaxed friends place with delicious food. Some of their menu items are also easily made vegan or dairy free. They even have options to swap out cheese for vegan cheese on the nachos...Mmmmmmm! The guys loved the Meat Sweats option and said the mac and cheese and potato salads were amazing. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely EXCELLENT food!! Tiny little place but worth finding! The one owner (who was our waitress lol) was super friendly and its a really comfortable atmosphere. We were the only ones there at the time so, she even let us request the music we wanted! Highly recommend, small businesses need our support! (don't forget dessert, everything is to die for lol!!)

Very good food! The decor is awesome and it’s such a relaxing place! My daughter loves it and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming here again!

The food was very impressive. Something about that burger was quite better than most burgers. A burger is pretty standard fare, and everything was a step up from "the usual". The burger was better than usual, the chips were better than usual and the gravy was better than usual. I also had the Elvis dessert, which is banana cream pie with whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter sauce and a scoop of peanut butter ice cream. Quality food and the service was solid as well.

Amazing staff, service is exceptional. Food is tremendous and it’s my third time back when visiting Kimberley.

We came in for lunch, first customers of the day. The food was delicious, fresh with great portions.

The best Chinese food in the Kootenays!

My wifey and I stopped in for a late evening supper and enjoyed the amazing charcuterie board. I've never had such an amazing little supper that filled the two of us up incredibly. Great food and very enjoyable atmosphere. Don't be afraid to enjoy this place. ❤️

A super cool cocktail bar with specials and a good selection of bites. I got the hot guava margarita and it was extremely well made. They make their own syrups and the range of the drinks is very impressive. They also do have a nice selection of tap beers if that’s your thing.

Sat on the deck with the cooling mountain air after an awesome day in the platzl with great entertainment. This cocktail bar has the feeling of a high class bar in the city. Great food, great cocktails, beautiful people and a relaxed atmosphere love it ❤️ don’t miss it ❤️

Pedal & Tap was one of our choices to eat while staying in Kimberley. There is a good selection available on the menu, both in terms of food and drink. I got the South American Steak sandwich which was incredible. It's messy though, you'll need to wash your hands after having one. Be sure you show up with an appetite. The portions are very big!

We went as a family of 7 during happy hour to try their food. It was all amazing. If you want just a couple of appetizers then that’s the time to go but if you think you might want more of something just order from the regular menu. Our fav was mucky fries although we liked the crab cakes and fish sticks too. The service was very good. They were very attentive even though it was quite busy. They had a stickers and coloring pencils for the 3 children with us. Would recommend going here but be prepared to wait if you don’t go early. It’s a popular food destination in Kimberley but worth the wait!

I love this place! Great patio with ambience. Fresh & healthy menu that’s well put together. Good local & interesting beer choices. Service was spot on too! Go!

A nice small town brewery. After wanding around the platzl and some of the trails throughout Kimberley, it was nice to sit and relax with a beer flight.

Best spot in Kimberly, and easily some of the finest beers in the kootenays. Service is always spectacular as well. A comfortable place and an integral part of our town.

Great tunes provided by local talent that night. Fun times in Kimberley! Pizza we ordered from next door was marvelous!

Yum. We had the 2-2-2 breakfast; 2 links, 2 pieces of bacon and two eggs with toast and an upgrade to tots with cheese and green onions. The coffee was our style; light and delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Great breakfast! The eggs Benedict on a bagel was spot on. Some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. Friendly and welcoming staff. All the types of hot sauce you can imagine! Hometown atmosphere.

Didn't expect that much but it was amazing. I got spicy boneless chicken and beef yakisoba both were great. And the korean lady in the kitchen (owner) is really kind. Highly recommend. 엄지척 맛있어요 소스가 한국치킨맛.. JMT

Food was very good. Service was excellent. Nice little restaurant! Sad that people dropping off recycling next door park right in front of restaurant leaving little parking for patrons of the restaurant.

Been coming for years and still the same quality. Little changes have been made but my favorite shrimp burrito remains the same! I love that you can customize everything, and one burrito is very filling, the tacos and quesadillas as well. Everything is well seasoned, and the salsa is awesome!

Calling all burrito enthusiasts and those with an appetite bigger than their fear of commitment! Imagine this: massive burritos overflowing with fresh ingredients, enough to leave you questioning your ability to ever wear skinny jeans again. The portions are legendary, the flavors are bold (think tangy salsa, melty cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat), and the staff is friendly enough to make you feel like you're family (the kind of family that shares their giant burritos, of course). Just be prepared to loosen your belt (and maybe roll yourself home). Very lively and friendly atmosphere as well (especially during the farmers market).

Food was great, flavourful authentic. Service was great as well, they have small area to sit indoor and outdoor. Would go again!

Me and my wife have come here 5 times, I can't say there's ever been a single thought of a complaint. Food is so good, service has been really good, atmosphere is great, I can't see how anybody would drive by without stopping in. Again came here for my wife's birthday, never disappoints. 4 outta 5 times Keno has paid our bill, might wanna check out the Keno machine while you're enjoying the awesome food!

Excellent service by a skilled and knowledgable server. Very polite, courteous and friendly. Food and refreshments very good. A little noisy with lots of laughter and good chatter but no surprise as it is Friday evening and the pub was full with barely a seat to be had. Great place. Thanks for the hospitality!

I recently had Marysville Pub deliver 10 pizzas to our wedding reception late at night. Brent, one of the owners dropped them off himself and was very accommodating. The pizza was excellent. Fresh ingredients. They were eaten by the guests in a heartbeat. I would recommend for sitting in and eating or ordering out. Thanks MVP!

Didn't get asked if we wanted food after an hour. Bf spilled his drink and another customer helped us get rags. Waste of time and money. Definitely don't recommend.
