Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Kerrville – 2024

Wahoo exceeded my expectations, and those swamp fries definitely bring the heat. I travel to Kerrville frequently for business, but this was the first visit. The staff was great and the food was amazing. Only wish they had some better desert options. It's definitely a must visit for those in the area looking for good eats.

Fantastic food! My wife and I came here for lunch, and we tried an assortment of food, and it was all delicious! The gator bites and fish tacos were amazing. The fish and chips were some of the best I had. I love the ambiance, and we had great service. We definitely are coming back!

Irene takes such wonderful care of me each time that I am in Kerrville to satisfy my surf and turf burger craving. This is one of the best burgers in the area if not in the whole of TX, and the quality of their fresh seafood is top level. Never disappointed, always satisfied.

What a beautiful place, beautiful view, and amazing staff. I was just out exploring Kerrville and wanted a view. This was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. I only had cocktails but the aromas from the kitchen were so tempting! Thank you to Shannon, amazing, and all the great team for a memorable afternoon!

We arrived upon opening time 11am and it was amazing. Loved the atmosphere, location, scenery, history, and local golf players. The food was delicious, you must try the sweet potato fries!

This place is amazing, at the top of a hill over looking Kerrville golf course. We went here after visiting the cross in Kerrville Food was fantastic and the staff so nice. My grandson had a blast looking around the different rooms and going up and down the staircases. Thank you for welcoming us for lunch. The burger was so juicy and delicious and please if you like Sweet Potatoes order the Sweet Potato fries. My grandson does not like seasoning but he ate the fries up so fast! We will be back. My daughter had the Cobb salad...wow amazing!

So much food! But it was all good and quite quickly served. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. It's not very fancy. Everything's deep fried. We shared a desert, more than enough!

Old oil, canned vegetables, Coleslaw was awful, the mahi tuna was supposed to have a butter lemon sauce but was flavorless and dry. The shrimp was old. The salad was a big bowl of lettuce some not good with two tomatoes and and a pile of onions. We seemed to be a bother to the staffing when I was just trying to take my dad out

Stopped here to eat today and I had the All you can eat catfish, shrimp, & clam strips. The food was delicious and the servige was great. Really nice atmosphere. Will go here again.

Great little restaurant! One of those "hole in the wall" places that flies under the radar, but is definitely worth a visit. They serve a variety of dishes. Their breakfast options are very good. It has a nice country town atmosphere.

Typical diner but very crowded, which says a lot. The food (breakfast) was just what we imagined. Hot, fresh, delicious and no frills! Just good hot and yummy! The decor is a little older but that makes you feel at home. We love our small town and supporting small, family owned places like this!!

Nastiest breakfast I have ever had. 2 hockey pucks for sausage,ham was nasty,the scrambled egg was Gross. The pancake was good. 13 bucks for that garbage . Then to boot I thought I was at a Trump rally. Bunch of old rednecks complaining about Biden. I don't care either way. Don't want to hear that garbage while trying to digest my nasty breakfast. The skinny old waitress was very nice to the white folk. When she came to me , different story. The only nice person was a thin young blonde hair girl . She said hello and asked me if I needed anything. I didn't complain. Got the heck out of that uncomfortable place. I can just imagine the people that live there if based on what I saw. It was like in a movie in some little town where you walk in and everybody mad dogs you.

We love Rio Ranch Cafe! No fuss atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Generous portions of delicious food from a large menu, all very well prepared. My dining companions got the chicken-fried steak and loved it. My pecan, caramel waffles were drool-worthy. Good prices. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere was the country style I love. Service was great. The only thing negative, which was not that important, but I asked for crispy hash browns, and got a little uncooked potatoes. Rio ranch breakfast was huge. My wife ordered Brisket hash and she couldn’t finish it. I tasted the brisket and it tasted so good. Plenty of parking and sitting.

Honestly, our breakfast of Brisket Hash and eggs rate in the top 5 of my lifetime! Absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and efficient! Food came out hot, fast and perfectly cooked! Great coffee! Highly recommend! A must try in Kerrville!

I ordered the smoked salmon salad and it was very delicious. The service was wonderful and I sat outside on a nice day. I would highly recommend visiting for a wonderful meal and nice calm environment. I have been several more times and I enjoy the food every single time including the salmon with shrimp that I had today.

This is the place. I have a gluten and milk allergy. They work with allergies really well. They even bring out gluten-free bread before the meal. I have never had that anywhere else. The pasta and BLT was fantastic. All fresh and delicious. They also have a menu for your pup. It's really cool. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. Love it!

Had the wild mushroom quesadilla with MR beef 10/10! If the amazing selection of cake or pudding int enough next door there is more! Had the Italian cream with walnuts and coconut. Another 10/10

Ehh… I hate giving bad reviews but this was a pretty terrible experience. Our server, unfortunately was less than friendly. I tried giving her a shadow of doubt. I was having dinner with my (senior citizen) father and he CAN be a lot. But I literally saw her roll her eyes. It was a painful experience as I used to wait tables. The steak was eh. I understand a steak at a Mexican restaurant, that’s on me. It was the piece of plastic I found I’m guessing from the sour cream? Pretty big turnoff. Whatever the green dip was for the feee chips, that stuff was fire. I’d come back for that and that alone! Atmosphere as a whole was eh kind of cheesy. Pretty I guess

This was my first time at the restaurant. It was so great! The building is beautiful, it’s so cool inside, and the food and service were great! It’s so cool how it looks like the night sky inside. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly our food came out after we ordered considering how full the restaurant was. Everything was hot and correct and so good! I loved how the menu mentions not using fat or oil to make the refried beans and the tortillas don’t have animal products (lard). I was kind of skeptical about that lol but they were very good! I would love to go back here and recommend it to others!

My wife and I shared the fajitas for two and it came out steamy and flavorful!

Great food, great environment, and lovely service! Every employee had a smile on their face and that makes a difference. Even though they were short-staffed, we never had to ask them for anything, they were ON IT. They regularly topped off our coffee, keeping it hot. Also, we didn't get any, but they had a lemon pie in the fridge with the tallest meringue I had ever seen. It looked like something out of a dream! We got the blueberry pancakes (which were made with fresh blueberries), French toast, and huevos rancheros. Delicious. There were no leftovers!

Down home cooking, friendly people and laid back atmosphere. Love hearing the national anthem playing through the speakers first thing in the morning. The grits are perfect

We decided we were going to eat local while in town. We popped into this place for breakfast. We were immediately welcomed. You could tell this place was the place where all the locals went as you saw a bunch of regulars shuffle in. I did not want to over do it, so I ordered one blueberry pancake and some sausage. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor. They did have sugar free syrup as I do not like to eat that much sugar for breakfast. The sausage was small patties, but had a good flavor. I really enjoyed this little spot. The food and service were top notch.

I love this place!! Sat outside and had lunch! 13.95 for salad and a half of sandwich with fresh pumpernickel bread and a slice of watermelon! Beautiful old building and flowers outside with garden tables!

Francisco’s is a cute restaurant that serves mostly Mexican food. We ordered the fish tacos, the special of the chalupa with chicken (forgot the name), a couple of kids meals which were all tasty. We did think the tortilla soup was much better than the chicken posole. The Mexican martini was ok too, but very strong, lacked Olive juice and I didn’t don’t get the shaker with leftover drink to refill my glass. This is something I’ve always received as part of my Mexican martini order. The regular margarita was good. Flan for dessert was good too and had a nice orange vanilla flavor. As for the restaurant it was nice, clean and had a simple layout with paintings on the wall. The service was the best part of our experience. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful and made sure we were taken care of. Overall food was ok, the layout was really good, the place was clean and the service was great. Great location too!

One of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory, we have gone multiple times and always loved the experience. Will be going back again soon.

Nice restaurant that serves a decent breakfast buffet ($14.99). You get your regular buffet staples such as scrambled eggs (2 types), bacon, sausage patties, ham slices, toast, biscuits, and pancakes. Gravy is the white kind that comes in powdered form. They have a decent selection of fruit. Highlights are the glazed strawberries, cantalope, and honey dew. All cut into bite sized portions. Menudo is very good. Very tender and cut into bite sized pieces. This place caters to the older crowd (bite sized portions), so if you want something full of flavour or grease go somewhere else if you can find such a place. For myself it is fine. A tip: do not get the chocolate milk. It is 2% milk with syrup mixed in. The one I got wasn't even mixed well. Service was excellent, they were prompt and attentive. The place is popular no doubt, when I went there it was a capacity with many people going in and out of the place. You would not go wrong here going for breakfast.

I don’t eat hot sauce I just dip my chip. This hot sauce was so good I could eat it with a spoon. Eggs were perfectly made and not over cooked. Beans had great flavor! So good!

Been the family go to for 13 yrs. The owner and staff are like family, You get breakfast till 2, and there's a little bit of everything to pick from on thy menu. Buffet Tuesday thru Sunday.. plus, best tea. Clean and friendly and good...

Excellent veggie sandwich full of fresh veggies! Great creamy spread on toasted wheat or multigrain bread. I had them hold the mushrooms and onions. So glad I came here, though I had a bit of a wait.

The food here is great and service was quick with a friendly staff. My three star rating relates to the cost, especially the few chips accompanying the sandwich. $2.25 for about 15 chips is overpriced. Please consider reducing price a bit.

This was such a refreshing find. They have keto and gluten free options. The cafe is inside a healthfood store so you can browse while you wait for your food. The food was tasty and the employees are friendly.

If you’re in the Kerrville area, then you have to eat at the Branding Iron restaurant inside the Y O Ranch Hotel. Friend of mine asked me if I’ve eaten there. We haven’t, so we drove there from Comfort. Walked in and felt like we were in a Colorado resort. The atmosphere was so beautiful, huge Christmas tree, shoulder mounts of large game, and the woodwork is amazing. Buffet style menu. Missed breakfast, so we ate the buffet. Got the salad with my favorite fresh beets on top, chicken fried steak, mash potatoes, and black eyed peas. Food was delicious and the service was great. Our waiter Ezekiel, filled our glasses continually, without asking. I suggest that you try this place out. Give it 5 stars.

Our first time to eat lunch here & my husband & I absolutely loved it. Our waitress Stephanie was so welcoming & very friendly. She made sure to make us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back again.

Nice place to get dinner. They had a prime rib buffet that looked good; we opted for top sirloin steaks and they were very good. Be sure to check out the amazing taxidermy mounts, saddles and other curios in the hotel lobby!

This food is yummy! And not far from fredricksburg at all. The view is amazing! Had the fried cheese, chicken fried chicken, fried shrimp, onion rings and frozen swirl sangria 10/10 Our server Daniela was super helpful and made our experience all that better. Will definitely be back when are in this area again! :)

I originally ordered takeout but when I arrived to pick it up and noticed that they allowed dogs to be with you on the patio, I was delighted! We took our food to the patio to enjoy. What a gem here! The water view was amazing but watching the hummingbirds come to the various feeders had us in awe. Food was delicious and service was extremely friendly. Just visiting the area. Service was friendly, Kayla took our order, brought more tea, and gave us a to go tea. The food was yummy. They had a display of desserts, but we were so full that we didn't order any. Hubby ordered the burger and onion rings. Meat was so fresh, onion rings were light and crispy, and the batter did not fall off. I opted for the small appetite meal, but it wasn't small. I had the house salad, chili reallano soup, and 1/2 b.l.t. so good. The view was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Food was super tasty and hot. We had ribeye cacciatore and the cannelloni. Both plates were excellent. Server took a bit long at times to return but was super sweet; there was a fly who hung out at our table; and the a/c was hitting directly on one side of our booth. The last reasons are why I gave 4 and not 5 stars.

Me and a couple friends just went in for dinner on a Sunday and were seated and taken care of right away by the most friendly waitress Angela. The first thing I will say is the bread is so so good and warm and delicious! We started with the fried ravioli, they were very good. I had the pasta trio, my fave was the chicken parmigiana. The food came out quick and was all very yummy. Angela did a great job getting us everything we needed, she’s a fabulous server! We will be back again

Overall everything was amazing except the risotto. Not a fan of it, it was really bland but the whiskey cake made me forget all about it. Views are super nice definitely very romantic. Took awhile for the food to arrive but worth the wait. Only thing I wish is that they would have a full bar instead of just the beer and wine. I did think it was weird they asked if we were celebrating anything and I said 3 year anniversary but we didn't get anything for it, so why ask?

This restaurant was extremely nice with an amazing view. The service was fantastic, and the food was terrific. I had the Mozzarella Burrata, and the antelope. Both were great and I'd highly recommend either.

Trevor is an amazing waiter, very personable & professional! The filet mignon was cooked to absolute perfection, talk about melt in your mouth!! The calamari was crispy, not chewy at all!! The crab cakes were so-so. Lots of crab meat but not much flavor seasoning-wise. Everything else was very tasty The sunset view with the river was the icing on the cake!
