Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Kenora – 2024

Lovely breakfast. Clean, cozy, friendly, delicious - everything you need. Meals are about $20 ea but big portions. Iced vanilla latte was delicious. Our French Toast eggs Benny and our Spinach Masala Omelette were very tasty. Lots of menu options and baked goods to go.

Great food, very friendly service and a cute town! We stopped by Kenora on a cross country roadtrip and enjoyed breakfast at 8 AM sharp here. They opened at 8 on the dot and were almost full by 9! The half eggs Benny is a good option, the Benny is scrumptious!! The hollandaise had good flavour but was a bit thick and in very short supply (extra hollandaise costing 3$ would make the meal the same price as a full Benny...) loved the tomato and the pemeal was cooked perfectly The waffle was AMAZING! and the maple syrup is clearly top notch, fresh fruit and service with a smile. Certainly a town and restaurant we will return to!

Very very busy place. Line up out the door when we left. Definitely worth the wait, food was incredible, everything is homemade!! Do not go here if you are in a rush. Wish we lived closer so we could try more menu items. This will be on our “have to visit again” list next trip to Kenora. Only complaint is their room temperature tap water.

What a way to end our long day outdoors. The food was excellent, service was phenomenal, and the place was such a good vibe. I can’t say enough good things about it. We had the mushroom Swiss burger, Philly cheese steak, and the Guinness mushroom chicken and everything was great. I had the Caesar which the owner told us just won an award for best Caesar and I believe it, it was so good and an elevated version of the normal Caesar. My mom had two whiskey sours which were the best she’s ever had, the owner Chad made the second one his own personal way which was so so good. Thanks Chad! While all the food was delicious, we will all be ordering the mushroom Swiss burger next time, it was out of this world good and probably in the top 3 burgers I’ve ever had.

Stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. The menu was pretty decent. I got the mushroom burger and wings – both were delicious and the wings portion was generous. Service was top-notch with friendly and welcoming staff, which made me stay even though it was initially empty. Despite a limited menu due to the long weekend, the amazing staff more than made up for it. Highly recommend!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT! Food is excellent!! Service is great (Chad is Awesome!)! Whiskey sours are the F'N BEST! Definitely check it out, you will not be dissapointed! We will be coming back often!

I ordered a special - toasted Brie with blueberry and apples. It sounds like it should be an excellent combination. The cheese was cold, the apple was bland and sliced in a way that made it difficult to eat. Whatever oil was used for frying left the sandwich and fries with an off putting, sweet aftertaste. I could only force down half the sandwich and a few of the fries. Looked good, did not meet my expectations. Maybe the regular dishes are better.

Delicious bison burgers and nice patio where we could bring our dog on leash. Drinks were good. They were under staffed but handled it very well. Cool and collected and helpful. Great place :) Delicious salad with the burger too!

The walleye tacos were very good. The staff were so accommodating with my requests of veggies instead of fries, and having the walleye tacos on Bannock! Thank you, guys!

Friendly staff and fresh food offerings to go. Delicious chicken curry wrap, macaroni salad (love the dill) and a mexi-taco salad. Would 100% recommend and will look forward to returning …

So soup was salty. Crackers. Stale as heck. Rice crispy was stale also. Sandwich was good.

The food was good. Service was good. Good bang for the money. Clearly a well received restaurant as finding a seat for dinner is not easy unless one is early. Great place for everything Greek in Kenora. Recommend without reservation!

We planned on sitting outside and eating but the patio area was pretty full so we went inside. A laid back atmosphere, ordered, and the food was delicious. Bob came and introduced himself and was very chill. The gravy was top notch, along with the burgers and wings. Cheers Bob

Crazy busy today so the kitchen is a bit slow. The servers are running hard, and the burger is definitely worth the wait. Inside is noisy but a good noisy, and the patio has a great view of the harbour. GF burger bun available.

Paid almost 90$ for 3 burgers, which were displayed for 10$ each with drinks and 3 onionring, 4.75$ each. Waiting time was horrendous 1,5 hours. Never saw bill, but was then in a hurry to leave and didn't check.

Amazing dining experience at Kurry. The food was delightful and prepared with care. We enjoyed a tasty shahi paneer and chicken Manchurian with rice for dinner. The owner is very customer focused and ensures that you have a great experience. We had a superb time, will surely be back for more!

Hiding in an old historic hotel, Kurry's needs some better signage. The building is being renovated but the restaurant is large and clean. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We ordered too much food for 2 people so we had to get some take away containers. The veggy pakoras were excellent. The curried lamb was very tender and delicious as was the gobi/cauliflower dish , rice and fresh naan. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I've ordered Kurry take-out several times and the food has always been delicious. Today was the first time to dine-in. The service was excellent! The food came to the table quickly. Portion sizes were generous. And it was all so delicious!!! (as per usual) :) I love Indian Food and have tried many restaurants Winnipeg, Toronto, all over the USA, London England, etc. Kurry, right here in little ol'Kenora, is equal to the best I have had! It was so YUMMY! Wear your stretchy pants and get ready to dig in! (Plus the cutest little hostess came by to say hello)

Stopped in for lunch for the first time and was not disappointed. Great food and incredible service from Hannah. We will definitely be back.

I went in for the blooming and they did not disappoint me. The servings are great and the food is good. Bit out of the way from Kenora but, worth the trip.

I came here on a fine Wednesday evening with my little niece. To start off, the service was excellent; the waiter was nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was awesome. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a poutine, and my niece ordered a small pizza from the kids' menu. The burger was really good, probably the best in Kenora. On the other hand, the pizza was atrocious—undercooked and very soggy. I'm surprised my niece didn't get sick afterward. Here's a note for you guys: cook it a bit longer. But all in all, everything else was exceptional. I would recommend it if you're looking for a bite to eat.

Ok this was an extremely disappointing meal for both patrons. We ordered the steak sandwiches and both were terrible. The most notable thing right off the bat were the stale and cold French onions that topped our steak. Cold and beyond stale. The “toasted” bread below the steak as also cold and stale. The steak itself was not to par. Fries were not warm. Ketchup bottle was empty. We were not offered any steak sauce. Again we both had the same meal and the experience was the same for BOTH of us. Very disappointing.

Haven’t been to Casey’s in many years but had fond memories. Went again this week and it was just as amazing as I remembered. The tornado potato was great and the buffalo chicken fingers were amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. The building is showing signs of wear over the years, but that took little away from the experience. Would definitely recommend.

I asked for a medium sear on the steak and it was served perfectly medium The meat itself was rather lean, I'd say choice grade. I prefer more marbling but this isn't a typical steakhouse so I shouldn't be overly demanding. They did very well for a small town. No complaints otherwise. Thank you.

Best fish anywhere on Lake of the Woods. Best hummus anywhere in the WORLD. Delicious village Greek, lemon soup, Greek potatoes, French fries, lamb, pita bread, and garlic bread. Friendly service. Family run business with a long history - hard working family - Kenora wouldn’t be the same without Dino’s.

Was not impressed at all. Walleye was very salty, lobster ravioli sauce was watery and no flavour. Plus, they gave us someone else's food cause we received 2 gyros we never ordered and then shorted us our Greek Delight desert.

Good food. Had walleye with lemon rice soup. Not enough staff, felt sorry for the staff but it was really slow and unfriendly. Did not have time for dessert and we were late for our next planned activity.

Classy hidden gem! We dropped by for a quick dessert. The ambience is sophisticated yet cozy, and the owner Brenda is very friendly and welcoming. The sticky toffee pudding with some ice cream on top was super yummy! Will be back here soon to try the delicious food that everyone raves about.

Awesome chic restaurant with great food. Great place to bring a date. Kids will enjoy their cheese pizza as well.

Excellent local cafe! My spouse had the staff salad, I chose the ShoalLake burger. Great food, wonderful staff. Go out and enjoy a meal in a local restaurant!

My wife Trisha and I like coming here for a good meal when we’re in Kenora. It’s not the most romantic place but it’s cozy and a relaxed atmosphere. Trisha is a big fan of the soup here and although I don’t usually order soup every time she does so do I… lol The soup here is always home made and healthy. Tonight I ordered the special, which was steak sandwich and shrimp with veg, a side and your choice of soup or salad. I got the soup and like usual it was quite good. The parking for this restaurant is along the side and hard to get into. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for large groups just because of that reason. The French fries here are made fresh, which is something I value. Like I said before this is a great restaurant to pop in for a healthy and tasty meal. It’s always clean and the service is great. Cheers guys and keep up the great work

The food was average, tasty, but a bit expensive for what it was. The service was great, our server was attentive and very helpful. The Atmosphere is exactly what you'd want in a small town eatery, quiet, clean, and friendly. The parking situation is pretty akward for those with larger vehicles. Would recommend as a meal stop.

Lillie was a great server! Very attentive. We were staying the night in Kenora heading back to Edmonton and stopped in for some food and the service was amazing! And the food was delicious! I had the surf & turf. Steak and lobster !

I had a wonderful evening here. My starter soup was tasty, the steak I ordered fantastic, the creme brulee I had for dessert delicious, and the two craft beers that my server recommended were excellent. Making things even better, a group of deer were walking nearby as I headed towards the restaurant. Overall, it was a truly lovely experience

10 out of 10!! We're from Manitoba. First of all, excellent and friendly service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience. The attention to detail was impeccable and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was delicious and the drinks were top-notch. Definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area.
