Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill is a premier dining establishment that offers a unique and memorable culinary experience. With a focus on high-quality ingredients and a commitment…
Whiskey Creek has had its ups and downs over the years, but this past year has truly turned things around. The service is always friendly, and the food consistently arrives hot and delicious in a timely manner. The western ambiance is perfect for when you’re in the mood for that kind of vibe. I’m thrilled to have had such great experiences here again! Prime rib sandwich is a must have! (Add Pepper Jack cheese )
The food was good, but not for the price. Everything on the menu seemed pricey. Staff was far from pleasant. No greeting upon approaching the hostess stand. The waitress didn't greet us with a happy face or spoken greeting. We had to ask her repeatedly to speak up so we could hear what she did say. No, thank you, no nothing. It appeared as though the employees were all unhappy.
Wonderful food at a great price. Got seated right away for two people. I compare this place to a Texas Roadhouse/ Lone Star Steakhose but a much better hometown atmosphere. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the main course....even the fresh bread they brought out with our drinks was piping hot and begging to be eaten!! Definitely a must stop if you're in the area!!!

Traveling through town this place is absolutely worth the slight detour. Solid Greek pizza and pretzel. Good beer.
Worth the stop passing through for a couple of good IPAs, and a lot of options on tap if that’s not your taste. Friendly staff, good service, and good beer. The food options are very limited though, and the pizza is ok but nothing special.
Stopped by for some beer and snacks! I love bread + olive oil! Amelia is a great server.

My son and I ate there this morning. We both had French Toast, two eggs over medium and ham. It was the best I've ever had. I was sorry to hear this place is not going to be much longer. It's an absolute shame. Sabrina was our waitress this morning and her customer service is top notch. Sabrina, it was a pleasure meeting you and good luck in your future endeavours.
The Lodge Restaurant is a good place to eat. I would like to make some recommendations to help you improve. First I am a retired truck driver and have ate in restaurants all over the United States. I have never managed a restaurant but I like to observe what and how a restaurant is managed and operated. I see things other patrons will miss and all some of them want to do is complain. Some of the things I have noticed is you need a better training program for your new help. If they have never worked in a restaurant before they need to follow somebody around and be taught on everything the restaurant is doing before they can be expected to work by themselves. If you have new staff that has worked in restaurants before they could use less training but still need to know how everything works before they should be expected to work by themselves. Also slow down don't try to do more than you have staff for. I have seen a lot of chaos when I have visited. If it means closing off a section during a busy time do it. If a wait staff should get too busy allow them to speak up and be skipped when it is their turn to be seated. If the kitchen gets backed up hold off on taking orders for a short time. Train everybody to carry hot food out. If a trainer carries it out their trainee needs to help. But the trainee shouldn't be expected to carry food by themselves. In the kitchen new cooks need to be supervised until they understand and know how your business operates. Don't just expect a new cook to handle cooking by themselves if they don't know how everything works. Be honest with your customers. If you are busy let them wait up front and try to give them a rough wait time before they can be seated. Don't rush seating people just because you don't want to make them wait up front. They will be a lot more understanding if they are waiting up front than at a table because your staff is to busy to get them service. Please don't be offended by what I have shared here. If you would like to visit with me I'm open to that. Do I know it all about how a restaurant should be run no but I can see where improvements can be made. You have a great restaurant and I want to see you keep offering the community service for many years to come. Thank you Joe Walz
Seems like a great social setting for a cup of coffee and maybe a casual meal. The main course in our meals were cold/undercooked and didn’t have much flavor to it. Dessert was pretty good, but didn’t take away the fact that our dinners fell flat. Willing to give a second try sometime, but disappointed at initial visit.

I loved this place, they served us very well, the fried rice was very good and a large amount, we also ordered the sushi boat, the food was very exquisite and the price was also very good.
Wonderful place to eat. I was unaware that hibachi was done at a different table even though the menu didn't specify, but that was the only disappointment. It was very good and i definitely plan to go back!
This is a great restaurant! The food was amazing. The server was helpful, friendly, and attentive. I haven't been to a Japanese restaurant in a long time.

I’ve lived in Kearney for 3 years, can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner. The waitress was great. we had the margarita pizza. Hands-down, the best pizza in Kearney it was amazing. Would recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.
We celebrated our 21st anniversary at Joy’s table tonight. The manager, Katie took such great care of us. The restaurant was quiet and the vibe was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed cocktails, an appetizer, incredibly delicious entrees, and a dessert that we’ll definitely want again. Everything was perfect and we’re so glad we chose Joy’s. Thank you for a very memorable evening!
Server was great. Food was decent. But the incessant banging/hammering made it difficult to carry on a conversation…it was just LOUD. It started just as we were seated and continued throughout the whole visit. I asked our server if they were doing construction. He said, “No that’s them in the back tenderizing meat.” Check out the video…and keep in mind that we were as far away from the kitchen as possible, on the opposite side of a wall. That was a pricey dinner for an hour that was hard to enjoy.

This is probably the best place to get Sushi in Kearney. The staff is always very friendly and the food is great. My family and I love it! They seem to do a lot of takeout orders because the dining room is never full when I arrive, which is great because there's plenty of places to sit!
Neat Japanese place that is pretty reasonably priced. We got 2 rolls, udon noodles, and crab rangoons for $40. The udon noodles were some of the best noodles I have ever had. I also loved the papi sushi roll. They had other options like ramen and fried rice as well as many appetizers. They even had beef options.
We had quick and friendly service. Ordered online while we were en route on the highway about 12 minutes away and our food was ready when we walked in. We used the restrooms which were clean and well kept and then we're quickly on our way. The dinning room looked nice, if we had more time I would consider eating there. We ordered some sashimi, a spicy yellowtail roll, coconut chicken, and shrimp tempura. All were good and a nice temperature.

Great place to have brunch at Kearney. Great tasting food, nice ambience, and excellent service. Will definitely come back!
Best breakfast I've ever eaten. Amazing flavors and brilliant execution. Lively and attentive staff amidst a beautiful atmosphere. I could eat here again and again
Good breakfast and brunch spot. Could be busy and have to wait. But good food.

Amazing dive bar .. with food and service that rivals any 5 star restaurant. Highly recommend the f*ck yeah burrito & sirloin steak tacos ! Always love an establishment that has a menu item to buy staff a drink! We splurged for a drink for Chef Randy! Delicious gourmet food! Diego [the bartender] went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Love ❤️ the outdoor seating area.
Had breakfast and it was fantastic. Great service and great food and prices for the amount of food you get.
I've been going to Gillies for the last couple of months. But recently it has been an awful experience. Every single time I go in I'm accused of doing stuff that I've never done. And it's because the women bartender like to start rumors and drama. The food is good but I would not recommend bar services. After making a post on Facebook I thought the problems would slow down and correct their mistakes but they just got worse. I made the post after one of their women bartender try to kick me out of a seat that she had left an hour earlier but demanding she got it back because she worked there. And even the customers are trying to fight me that know the owners. It's a very toxic aggressive environment and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Came here tonight for a special occasion. Very noisy and busy. We made reservations just be safe, and I'm glad we did as we came early but were seated right away. We got the buffet as nothing really jumped out at my spouse and I on the menu. They have prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, so we had that. There was mashed potatoes, king crab legs, shrimp cocktail, salmon, salad, and dessert bar. It was $50 plate per person for the buffet, which for prime rib and king crab legs we didn't think was bad. Waitress was nice but busy. We wanted something a little more intimate, but the atmosphere was fine, lots of kids running around and being noisy, but oh well.
It was our first time visiting and we tried many menu items for lunch! We took our baby and it was also kid friendly during the day. We will try again for dinner soon. The service was great and the restaurant is really nice ! We were interested in the buffets they offer and might try that sometime. The price of our was very decent for the quality and amount of food we got. We are excited to come back.
Very nice looking restaurant, pleasing to the eye and prices are really standard and not expensive at all especially for that place. Waiter was beyond respectful and polite, and this is the best burger I’ve tried in the US!!! Will definitely come back if I’ll be here, 10/10 amazing place.

Very delicious food and great service! Highlight recommend for a friend hang out, dinner, or meetings.
Been a long time since I've been here, but the environment hasn't changed that much, if at all. New servers, kind of the same menu but with some items removed. No more Reuben sliders anymore, which is sad. They still have the Reuben pizza full time though. Our server was very kind and pretty attentive. We came at a somewhat odd time so the place was noisy for a bit, but died off rather quickly. I just chose random food myself, and went with the double bypass cheeseburger. It's two big chunks of meat basically on a bun. The meat seemed to be a little heavy on black pepper, but I personally like pepper myself. Might be a turn off for others though. Added bacon and pepperjack and got a side of onion straws. Other than the extra amount of pepper (and to my knowledge I actually don't remember seeing pepperjack on the burger), it was a decent meal. The price for the food was pretty high, so this will probably be a "once in a while" place still for quite a long time. Parking here is still usually a pain as well, by the way.
Excellent! Great atmosphere and our server Reed he’s very attentive (apologetic). Hard worker and very nice humble personality. Great food! Wide selection of beer. Nice TV all over the wall got to see Phoenix Sun heading to the Finals. The manager (Green as he’s known to the staff) was very cordial and checked on us if we got all our orders. If I visit Kearney Nebraska again this is a go to! Opens late too. By 10pm kitchen offers bar food. We are lucky to be able to get the full menu at 9:30pm. Kitchen you can see from the view from the dining, they kept it clean despite servers go in and out. (Note: I don’t give complete 5 stars because there’s always room for improvements).

Stopped in while on a road trip. Convenient location right off the interstate. Arrived at 11 and had no wait. Food came out quickly. Really nice bathrooms, friendly staff, beautiful views and flowers on the outside patio. The Philly quesadilla is amazing! My husband got the salmon tacos and wasn’t crazy about them. Well priced menu.
Was on the way to Colorado. After road tripping from Michigan to Iowa. Then Iowa to Nebraska, we were all very hungry and tired. It was 8pm and we hadn’t ate anything all day, so I got the 16 piece chicken wings with BBQ sauce. I had never ever ordered chicken wings out before, and this was also my very first time / stop in Nebraska. Boy was I welcomed. These were the biggest wings ever, and it was like they dumped the whole bottle of BBQ sauce on them. I finished them all, probably about 2000 cal and 200g of protein. I got a side loaded baked potato for the road, and continued on from Nebraska to Colorado for the night, reaching the mountains thanks to this meal for fueling me up.
We were here once but had to wait for 45 minutes, so we decided to come back another time. Today, we booked the appointment at 6 pm, just to be sure to get the seat. The appetizer's pork belly bite was the sweetest but delicious. We ordered sirloin steak, chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, and skewers. All of then were yummy.

It was a nice restaurant with fantastic food. I was here for dinner with my husband. The food was delicious, and our waitress was super sweet. We ordered a sirloin steak and lobster ravioli. The price wasn't bad if compared to what I had ordered.
You know that feeling as a business traveler when you are so tired at the end of a 12 hour day and you just need a lovely meal….well, I did not get that and I was so disappointed since there were good reviews. Ordered a Pasta Dish and ordered Salmon on the side. The side salad was the best part of the meal. And I mean that with all sincerity. When the meal was brought to the table, I smelled the “fishy” odor of the salmon when the kitchen staff person delivering the meal was approaching the table and still over a foot away. Sad but true, reused food. Leftovers,,,,,Not made for me. To be truthful, leftover Salmon can be good but this was…..Just plain awful. The pasta was leftover as well as the oil was separated from the cheese and the pasta on the bottom was cold with the pasta on top being scalding hot. On a nicer note, the top layer had a good flavor initially. Live and learn. Might be better to avoid the seafood and order the steak. Good luck!
Had the prime rib, it was on point 100% absolutely delicious! Was also way more food than expected! Jessica my server at the bar was awesome!

I ate here while attending a conference across the street. The place was very nice and clean. Quite a few burgers to choose from on the menu, I settled for the "flight" of burgers to get a variety. They came out hot and quick and were obviously made fresh. I had hoped for a little more flavor than what they had, but they were okay. Fries could have been cooked just an extra minute for my liking, but probably are what most people want. I would like to stop back by and try their chicken fried steak next time I'm in the area. Thank you.
The Churro shake was delicious! Burgers were pretty good. Our server was very kind but not too attentive. It took a while to get drinks and shakes. When we reordered drinks when our meal came, the drinks came after we were done eating, along with our side salads we ordered with dinner. A little dissatisfied, and I'm not sure we'll stop back when we are in town.
Very good burgers! I was very impressed. We were too full to get a shake, but I hear they are great!

We discovered this gem of an establishment while on our way to vacation in the west, and we enjoyed it so much we stopped again a week later on our way back east. Both times we got to enjoy the service of some amazing staff, listen to live music provided by a talented young lady alternating between harp and piano and also some really good food. I was particularly happy with my end cut prime rib. It was both an amazingly well selected piece of beef and exceptionally prepared. On the way home I decided to try the almond crusted salmon which again, was an exceptional dish in my opinion... but I just can't stop thinking about the prime rib. Anyway, the staff from the front of the house to the back were friendly and accommodating, I thought the prices were more than fair, the atmosphere was pleasant on both sides (the more formal side and the bar side) and the food was great. We'll probably never go through Kearney again without stopping here for a meal.
We met friends at the Alley Rose and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was a busy Saturday night with lots of families and couples. There is a convenient free public parking lot less than a block from the main street area.
The restaurant is cozy and the food is delicious. I am in Kearney for school and stop here before moving back home tomorrow. We stop here and not regret at all. The prime rib was amazing and Ahi tuna taco was also delicious.
