Good place to get a steak. The know how to cook, as our order came out a perfect medium. The New York Strip was a little tough, but the Prime Rib was perfect! The shrimp skewer was great as well! Skip the cheesecake and go for the hawaiinan pie for dessert!
Decided to come here for my fiancé birthday. I had the prime rib bull shed cut. She had the garlic tenderloin. We both had bake potatoes and was ono. We had appetizers stuff mushrooms. What we ordered was so good. Will be coming back here again. And the service was excellent. Braddah was on it. Forgot his name. 10/26/2024
Very expensive mediocre food. Only reason of being here was because we had our best and first Kauai meal here 25 years ago. Now we have fulfilled our promise to come back.... But never again. But I do hope they do well in the future.

My experience at Smith's Family Garden and Luau was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully maintained garden setting. The stories shared throughout the evening were captivating, offering a rich history and deep connection to the local culture. The accommodations were thoughtful and made us feel right at home, with friendly staff ensuring every guest felt welcome. The food was simply incredible—a true feast! The variety of dishes was impressive, with traditional Hawaiian favorites that were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delight, and it was clear that the meal had been prepared with great care. And just when we thought the evening couldn't get any better, the post-dinner show left us in awe. The performance was jaw-dropping, filled with vibrant costumes, stunning choreography, and mesmerizing fire dancers. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable night. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable.
Our family had a fantastic time at the Smith Family Luau. Before the luau starts, you can rent kayaks or take a boat tour on the river. We arrived at 5 PM for the 6 PM dinner and took a complimentary tram ride through the gardens, followed by a leisurely stroll to explore the grounds and take some beautiful photos. When you enter, they take an official photo with two dancers in traditional attire, which is available for purchase for $30. We chose not to buy it since it felt a bit odd to have a photo with strangers in our home. The overall price was reasonable, especially with the $10 discount per adult ticket through the Shaka Gold membership. Dinner begins at 6 PM and includes live entertainment. Alcohol is unlimited and included in the price. The buffet-style meal was typical and offered a variety of options, so everyone found something to enjoy. They also offer tea and coffee, though I wouldn’t recommend the decaf—it was quite bad. The show starts at 8 PM and lasts about an hour, featuring various traditional dances performed by skilled dancers. Fire show at the end. The dedicated areas for dining and performance created a wonderful atmosphere that felt distinct from hotel luaus. The gardens are stunning, and even though the venue is large, it never felt crowded. Free parking on site. Suitable for children and teens. Overall, this was an excellent experience that I would highly recommend!
Such an amazing experience for us! We absolutely LOVED the atmosphere, and wonderful food and drink selection. I follow along a gluten free diet and they were so accommodating, they brought me an extra plate of just gluten free food. They also have labeled signs throughout the buffet to accommodate those who have other dietary restrictions! The luau itself was AMAZING! It was worth every single penny for us☺️ thank you so much!

Oasis is a fine-dining experience that takes you on an adventure - from the walk through lush greenery and a lazy river, to the final bite at the end of your meal with delicious plays on your taste buds throughout your experience. I came here not knowing what to expect - and left feeling like family. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff on wines, specials, and pairings. The right amount of humor, interaction and attention by the service team is the perfect combination for any occasion. This place has locally sourced food with a flare for connecting people with the experience of the island. (Even the smoked salt they use is from uncle Henry... ask about the smoked salt!) The atmosphere is stunning - with beach side tables and lighting that brings out a fun and romantic side of life. (Heard they are partnering with a local wedding/event planner to use this space for phenomenal occasions too!) Stefan, Ryan and all the staff at Oasis, I personally thank you for a dining experience that I won't soon forget. A must go. A must experience. Disappointment does not exist here.
We cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the food and service was at Oasis on the beach. The owner personally sat us at our beautiful table facing the ocean. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. One server even recommended how to best enjoy the catch of the day. It was was my moms birthday and they went out of their way to make it special. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate the end of our trip. Best meal on the island! Recommend to order: pork wontons, beet salad, fresh catch of the day, and the banana apple dessert.
We had a great meal, and loved our server Charlie. He was super kind, and shared some interesting stories about living on the island. We came to celebrate the final night of our honeymoon, and loved getting to sip our drinks while looking at the ocean. Funny enough… the power on the entire island went out as we were finishing our meal! The staff quickly adapted, and we were super impressed with how they handled the outage. A great spot!

We almost didn't make it here but are so glad we did. Open air, live music, right on the beach with lawn games; it doesn't get much better! The drinks were tasty and the food was awesome. Highly recommend the pineapple fried rice!
Fun atmosphere! Love how you can literally kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand beneath your feet at this open-air restaurant. We hit this lively restaurant at the right right time to enjoy sunset and live music and it really set the tone for a Hawaii-style vacation. The hotel next to the restaurant has an assortment of lawn games as well! We ordered the flatbread pizza and cocktails for mains. Order the coffee cheesecake! It was one of the best desserts we tried on the island.
Lava Lava Beach Club offers a picturesque beachfront dining with plenty of parking, both indoor and outdoor seating, and a relaxed atmosphere. While the complimentary muffins (#1 reason for 3- star rating) were a delightful treat, the rest of the dining experience left something to be desired. The chickens roaming around the tables might be a unique touch for some, but it can be a bit disconcerting for those who aren't accustomed to such close encounters. Chickens do their own thing and shouldn't bother you so it should be okay. Seeing chickens roaming around in the restaurants is actually quite common on the island so it shouldn't be a surprise. The service was leisurely, which was perfect for a relaxing beach day, but the food could have been more flavorful and served hot instead of cold. The eggs benedict and classic breakfast were average at best, lacking the depth of flavor and warmth that would make them truly memorable. Given the overall experience, the 3-star rating is primarily due to the delicious complimentary muffins. If you're looking for a casual spot to enjoy the beach and a quick bite to eat, Lava Lava Beach Club might be worth a visit, but don't expect a culinary masterpiece.

Very busy and popular, even for a late breakfast on a Monday. However, the wait wasn't too long. Follow instructions on blue &white sign to the right of the door to get on the list to be seated. You'll receive a text to confirm. But also make clear what name your under to hostess when they ask because she told me I wasn't on the list assuming I was with someone who just randomly walked up on that moment instead of checking first who everyone was Eggs Benedict was excellent. Service was very attentive. I was out in a little back room that's also used for parties so it was a bit dark but the decor was cute like everywhere else in place. My mocha was large and creamy. Very well made. Lots of people bring you what food and drink as well as server. Lots of attention per table. They present you with your check in a Spam can which is also cute. Would highly recommend. *Note parking is only a couple of spots on front. Best to park across the street or around a corner. It's very, very narrow space in front of restaurant. I just happened to get the last spot & my little car just fit. For some reason multiple people pulled in when I was trying to leave, went inside while a driver stayed with the car but blocked me in. It took much longer than necessary to sign up for the wait list, which is what I guess they were doing. Two cars had to honk after a good wait to get the big suburban to move amd then he just pulled up and blocked the exit to the road. There really isn't room for this selfish little trick. Drop off someone on the street and drive away to park while they stay behind and sign you up. Regardless, it's not a parking space, loading zone or anything and not okay. Don't be that person.
My friend got the luau omelet and let me try, it was soon delicious. I had their garden Benedict, and it was so good but the best part was the papaya! the best one I've ever had. And their fresh juice is also super good. I've tried the pineapple and the watermelon and both were so refreshing.
We were referred by a friend when we asked for a hometown breakfast place with classic favorites with an Island flare and this little gem nailed it for us. Sorry no pictures of food as it was SO good that we devoured it! First, service was super fast and they seem to know how to knock out food quickly which I love. Very friendly staff, the place itself is cute, but very diner style, no frills or anything fancy there. Parking wasn’t as fun which is what I wanted to show in the video. There isn’t really any dedicated parking and the road is kind of busy! If you can get lucky and park right out in front, great. But otherwise there is a parking lot across the street and a few make shift spaces along the street. I found this pay parking thing next door, but I would not recommend it as it looked sketchy. Point being, you can find parking around, but might have to walk a bit on a busy weekend or holiday. It’s worth it! OK on to the food! They have a big menu with lots of options. You can choose to make your own omelette or choose from the ones on the menu. We made our own omelette and chose hash browns and the homemade cornbread for our sides. The cornbread is a must try! It is clearly homemade, and it honestly didn’t need anything at all. It was served with a side of butter, but it’s moist, sweet and delicious just as it is. Sweet, but not too sweet to balance out the meal. We also go the French toast and it came with 2 giant pieces of bread. Wow was it good too! The thick Hawaiian bread with their special homemade coconut syrup was everything it promised to be! My daughter didn’t want breakfast, but they have a kids menu and she was able to order a grilled cheese and it came on the same giant bread that my French toast came on so that was a nice surprise! We were able to take home leftovers as her sandwich was huge! Prices weren’t bad for the large portions you get. You will be spending about $11 each on the low end and $20 each on the high end without drinks. But you will leave very fully and with great service!

This place is amazing. The yellow curry is literally the best curry I have ever tasted. The flavors are so balanced and the avocado melts in your mouth with buttery deliciousness. I have been a vegetarian for over 24 years and have tasted many many many curry dishes… nothing compares to this. So good.
Amazing, be sure to make reservations so can experience JO2. You'd be surprised at the quality of food and service considering the location. Food is to notch and not over priced, the service was enjoyable, and the drinks were on point. Our favorite was the Scallop Ravioli - my mouth is watering thinking about it again.
We dine at JO2 at least once a month while we are on the island. The food is fabulous, the service is outstanding, and the ambiance is cozy local.

Hukilau Lanai is very busy and bustling restaurant. I highly recommend to make reservations before hand due to the high demand. Service was good, it could be improved we were placed in the end in a dim room away from the beauty of the night lights and fire. The server was attentive but as it’s in a separate room he wasn’t around to take any requests when needed. Food was expectational all the kudos to the chef. We had calamari, lobster bisque, salad and two entrees. The entrees come with side of salad or soup. The calamari was really good, salad has good flavors and lobster bisque didn’t have any lobster chunks but the soup was flavorful. The entrees we ordered the trio catch fish and vegetable lasagna. The trio fish was an outstanding combination overall. The lasagna was flavorful on the cheesy side. The dessert chocolate cake as mentioned you need to order 20 mins ahead but it was okay overall it all complimented the meal. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant.
I messed up the dates on when we were supposed to be arriving and they were able to fit us in anyway. We had to wait an hour but it was worth it. Every single person was super friendly but also very professional. Highly recommend the caprese salad as well as the sweet potato chips. They were so super non-greasy and the dip that went with it was outstanding. We weren't as excited as we were hyped up to be for the gnocchi and fresh catch, the breadfruit dumplings was a very curious flavor. But, the filet was perfect and there was a generous portion of vegetables and the potatoes were amazing. The lobster tail was huge and super tender. For dessert, we had the homemade salted caramel vanilla ice cream with the banana and strawberry fried lumpia. It was really good.
Hukilau is consistently our favorite restaurant on the island. We’ve been here on our last three visits and it never disappoints. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are unmatched. My wife had the grilled Wahoo and I had the seared Ahi. We both had the amazing gazpacho. Everything was outstanding! And the Hawaiian Chocolate Factory Lava Cake is not to be missed!
