Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Joplin – 2024

First of all the food is great. My first time here but will return soon. The service was good and delightful and they had good knowledge of food and drink. The setting entering is deceiving but once you're inside you can tell they care about the space, great lighted sign at the entrance. Joplin is lucky to have this great steakhouse.

The salmon. Let's talk about the salmon. Parted the sea of my taste buds with vigor! Every bite only got better with, well, every bite and paired perfectly with my draft IPA. Intermittent chatter with Bonnie ( San's Clyde ) made the experience all the more better. First time dining here in 20ish years ( simply forget too ) and can say; still an overall pleasing experience. Good salmon too.

Went for my boyfriend's birthday, and went all out. Loved their cocktails and the food was awesome. He loved it and I will be back again!

Went with a couple friends to eat lunch. It took a while to get our food. Fries were soggy and so were the chips. The server never came and checked in on us, and honestly I had to ask her to remove plates from my table. It wasn’t busy enough to be that distracted. I had a to go order of fried green tomatoes, and it wasn’t until I got home and realized that in the box was completely burnt. Most of the fried green tomatoes were stuck to the box. There were crumbs and all sorts of other stuff from the fryer that they dumped right into my to go box that should have been filtered out. I feel like when this is done like this it’s because of laziness. I’m from Joplin and I support local businesses all day long but was very disappointed in the service with Tropicana.

Awesome fried pickles, drinks, and food. Prices are reasonable. Been here twice now and plan on coming again.

So good! Can’t say enough good things about our food and our service - Our server was on top of everything! They were so nice and our food was hot and delicious. There was a bit of a wait before we were seated because it was so busy! But they still got us in fairly quickly.

place is AWESOME! everything that people love about brunch all in one! i had one of the open faced sandwiches and it was awesome!!!!! so grateful. thank you Jesus!

Just go here, give them your money, and sit back and enjoy the absolute perfection of flavor and ambience that is The Bruncheonette. We were searching for a place to get breakfast with a dog in tow, and we are still in shock at how amazing this place was. The food is like nothing we have had anywhere else - fresh and creative and soothingly rich all at the same time. We got the Runaround Migas , French Toast, Cuban Benny, and Biscuits and Gravy (look at the pic and zoom in for the eye candy). I think it was only $10 per meal which is so much less than I expected. These people have something so special here: you can tell they love their craft. Thank you to The Bruncheonette and the employees for bringing such a positive vibe to our breakfast experience.

The staff were truly above and beyond amazing!! I have alpha gal syndrome and as I told them I was allergic to beef and pork they knew exactly what alpha gal was and pointed out options and substitutions i could make to an item. I ended up trying the Runaround with no crème fraîche or goat cheese and it was delicious!!! Thank you for being cautious and knowledgeable of this allergy. It is hard to find places that are as careful as they were!

After a stressful day which also happened to be my birthday my family & I stopped in for dinner, the place was packed so I thought we’d have a long wait but we were seated basically immediately. Our waitress Chasity was absolutely AMAZING! Best waitress I have ever had & she was still new! She kept my kiddos entertained & just had the absolute best personality & gave the best service! The manager Bri came to our table to introduce herself since it was our first time having TRH & she was amazing as well! Even though it was extremely busy the food came out within decent timing & everything was excellent. 10/10 will def return!

We arrived at opening time as usual so there would be minimal waiting time to be seated. There is plenty of parking with multiple handicap spaces. There is a handicap entrance for those who need one. The entrance way gets crowded quickly. The reception staff, servers, plus patrons all packed into a relatively small area. While waiting you can look at the available meat choices through a glass case. The restaurant has a western theme with country music playing. The music is loud enough to hear but not enough to be annoying when talking. There is also multiple TVs on the walls. The theme reminds me of a cowboy dining hall. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. I observed them cleaning tables in between patrons. It has a family-friendly atmosphere. We were seated right away. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our server was polite and outgoing. She took our drink orders right away. I ordered the peach tea. She returned quickly and took our food orders. I ordered the prime rib with corn and green beans. The taste of the tea was full of delicious peach flavor. The dinner rolls were hot and the honey cinnamon butter made for a fantastic combination. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It was hot and visually appealing. The prime rib was tender and juicy with a slight peppery flavor. There was more fat on this one than I usually get when ordering prime rib. The meat was flavorful, and the horse radish, onions, and mushrooms made for a next level taste. The green beans were tender but not mushy. It also had small pieces of onion for added flavor. The corn had a light buttery flavor. It was firm but not hard. We had a great lunch and enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and music.

For a Saturday night at 6:30pm (roughly) the crew at this place was awesome and amazing. From start to finish, it was a delight. The host staff was on it, with getting people seated and entertaining the hungry folk. There were 4 birthday celebrations while we were there. It was awesome seeing the staff engage and getting the guests to interact as well. Our waitstaff was amazing. We definitely had an excellent experience with our awesome waitress Donna! Thank you for the great food and experience.

I recently dined at Social BTB, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had a fantastic variety, and everything we ordered was delicious. The standout dish for me was the Caesar salad —it was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

We are not from Joplin. We were going to try a different burger place, but it was closed, so we wound up at BTB. The food and service was great! Loved the games on the tables, the TVs, and lounge areas. However, it's in a shady part of town, and they lock up the bathrooms.

The food was great, but the order on your phone service gave us trouble. People particularly liked their cheeseburgers and ranch fries . The ambiance of the place was also nice.

one of my favorite places ever!!!!! our service was awesome & our food was WONDERFUL! the smoked chicken dip & smokehouse chicken pasta were both so so so good. i loved this place and will be back any chance i get! thank you Jesus!!!

We got seated very quickly, and the waiter got to us almost instantly. The drinks, appetizers, and entrees all arrived very quickly, and the food was fresh. The waiter was very nice and enthusiastic about menu choices. Their house dressing for salads is amazing, and the stuffed mushrooms are the best I've ever had. Their key lime cheesecake is something I wish I could have every day! The restaurant was very clean and they even made sure the floor was clean around every table. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. If I could give 10 stars for this place, I definitely would.

Phenomenonal place to eat in Joplin. The service was very fast and they were able to accomadate 5 of us bery quickly. The food was great and the parking was good.

It is above average. It is Greek, but with a rich, heavy spin. We started with the Spicy Feta Dip. It is large dollop of feta cheese, cream cheese, pepperoncini peppers, served with crispy toasted pita bread. It is spicy and tasty, excellent! Very rich! It is enough for 4-6 people. One of the soups of the day was jalapeno potato bisque. A very good and filling soup with an ample amount of spice (heat). I had to try the Lobster Club. It is lobster meat, peppered pancetta, herb roasted tomatoes, onions & red pepper mayonnaise on wheat toast. The lobster pieces on the sandwich were a little strong tasting (fishy). It is extremely rich with the grilled onions and red pepper mayonnaise. I could only eat about half of the sandwich. I can't recommend it. The other meal was House Greek Salad served with the Mythos house dressing and Gyro meat. The Mythos house dressing just didn't work with the salad. Too heavy. It was not the light tasty olive oil and lemon Greek dressing that you would expect to get with a Greek salad. Overall if you are looking for light/healthy Mediterranean dining this place might not work for you. But, the food is good (just a richer/ heavier version than your typical Greek). The service is good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is nice.

We had a wonderful Birthday Dinner at Mythos, the Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Loved the shrimp appetizer and the rolls that came with dinner were soft and decadent. We topped it off with some delightful cocktails and a big piece of chocolate cake for desert. Crystal did a wonderful job of not making us feel rushed but keeping everything flowing perfectly, our glasses were never empty and I was never left wondering were my server ran off to. Nice Job Mythos, we will be back!

I went here for my very first time on Mother's Day, 2024! It was a success. The spicy feta dip was absolutely phenomenal. My pasta was really good as well, and my son ate all of his food. As somebody who is German, Irish, and Italian, I make homemade Caesar salad dressing, I feel like they should hire me to make it VS theirs, though. ;) I will return!

One of the healthier options to eat in Joplin. The food is good and the staff is friendly. The ambience of the place is nice as well. I've been to this place at least 5 times.

I came to Joplin for my daughter’s tennis tournament and being the foodie I am I wanted to find a local place to eat with great food afterwards, after researching, I found this gem of a spot with 5 stars and so i thought I would go find it. Perfect! After sitting in sun all day, the fresh ingredients totally satisfied my hunger and taste buds. The helpful staff helped with my decision and I went with the Monkey Business with Salmon Poke bowl. So delicious! I ate every last bite. I wish there was one in Kansas City but if I ever come back to Joplin I will definitely return!

Very friendly staff! Absolutely delicious! The tuna has a nice smoky flavor, the short ribs are melt in your mouth tender and the shrimp musubi was outstanding I could have eaten several!!

Wow! What an experience. My husband and I were wanting to go to a fine dining restaurant in Joplin and Finn's did not show up on our search but luckily we found it regardless. Top notch service and the dishes were amazing. We didn't spend as much money as we usually do when fine dining (I guess this restaurant is considered semi-fine dining) but the food, service, cocktails and ambiance was BETTER than at comparable restaurant. Very impressed. Now I don't have to go to bigger cities anymore to get this sort of experience. Absolutely must try the salmon wellington.

Finn's is a great place for amazing food. The welcome at the door was nice and we were seated quickly. Atmosphere is bright yet cozy with some light music in the background. A guitarist came in and began playing. Very nice. Service was outstanding with the food and drink tasty. I would give 5 stars for food but 2 steaks were a little over, but don't let that keep you away. All was great. We will be back and highly recommend.

The food was spectacular. We started with the bang bang shrimp, wedge salad with an amazing balsamic vin. Finishing off with the pesto blackened snapper, the honey garlic steak tips with garlic mashed potatoes & the queso mac and cheese. All were legit a 10/10. The service was superb. Very clean bathrooms and the sweet girl that works there was cleaning said bathrooms and she offered to take a picture of my sis and I. Thank you for a great first experience at your restaurant. We will definitely be back soon!

In traveling through Joplin, my wife and I had yet to find a place that served good seafood. My wife found Crabbys on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. The neighborhood looked like it had seen better days, which suggested that the restaurant might have seen better days too. But we were on a seafood quest! The seating was a little tight at the tables. (There were booths too.) The person at the table behind me and I bumped chair backs a number of times. Our server, Lauren S, was with us quickly, welcoming us and getting drink orders. She did an exceptional job throughout the evening! She was friendly and attentive, without being annoying. She answered questions we had with openness and honesty. She was quick to notice when drinks needed refilling, which is important to me as I go thru 4-6 glasses of water and soda during a meal. I would likely give this place 5 stars just for her service alone! We ordered Mushroom Fries, Seafood Chowder, House Salad, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Crabbys Mixed Grill. I loved the fries, especially with the truffle aioli! My wife is not a fan of mushrooms and found them “too mushroomy.” My house salad was an average salad, and her seafood chowder was definitely lacking in seafood. But the main courses made up for what had so far been a slightly above average meal! Her salmon meal was very good and my mixed grill was excellent! Each piece of seafood was cooked well, leaving them moist and tender! The accompanying sides were also delicious. We will come back again when we have a seafood craving when traveling thru Joplin!

The pumpkin espresso martini is a MUST! Food was wonderful, service was on point, and I recommend the thai shrimp! Give it a try, sooo worth it!

The food was incredible! It is pretty expensive but the food is delicious. We had to wait a little while for our food since it was PACKED - our waitress was incredible the atmosphere is nice! Overall I enjoyed it :)

A really great place to eat. They're always at least a little busy or very busy. The food is top notch with unique dishes. Great appetizers and bread as well. Service is ok, wait staff to customer ratio could be a little better and I wish they had sweet tea (unsweetened only). The atmosphere is great and clean. I like going back every few months. I still have to give it 5 stars because it's so much closer to 5 than 4 for me

Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. Our waitress, Rhyan, was very nice and attentive. She set the tone early with her wonderful demeanor. My wife had the fried fish, house salad, and loaded baked potato. I had the country fridge steak, red beans and rice, and house salad. The meals were excellent. Our salads were cold, crisp, and the house dressing was really nice. Our meals were served hot, perfectly seasoned, and filling. On top of that each of us had a croissant with honey butter that was delicious on the house. We arrived just as they opened but the place filled up quickly and when we left people were standing in line to get in. I can understand why. Definitely a place I would highly recommend.

Stayed at hotel within walking distance so it was a no brainer. Reviews were good for the most part. Walked over on Thursday evening at 5:45 and was immediately seated. They had 5 dollar margaritas and a 16oz bone in ribeye and bourbon glazed salmon on special. Both entrees were excellent. Service was top notch. Location was awesome. Overall a very good experience after a day of driving. Been to other cheddars and this one exceeded our expectations.

Sister and I both ordered the half rack ribs and we both came home with half leftover. Place was hidden behind some trees next to a hotel. The service and atmosphere were both nice and wasn't too loud for a Saturday dinner.

Great road trip supper in Joplin. Okay, so… the cast iron Chicken Elotes were soooooo friggin’ delicious! The cheese curds in beer batter with the “hot” caramel dip were phenomenal. My wife loved her chicken fried steak. The server was awesome. I feel bad for not remembering her name. I know this is a blanket statement and Asian is super vague but she had long black hair, bubbly and personable, suggested the caramel dip side as a fan favorite and she was right on the money. 10 out of 10 server status. My sister in law loved her beef Ajou. Negative was the nachos. They were underwhelming even aside from the fantastic comparison.

Great atmosphere and food! Wait staff a bit slow on the Tuesday night we were there. Waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to table. The place was hopping! I had Big Mike's meatloaf and it was delicious as were the sides. Husband had the jambalaya and said it was great, ate every bite!

Bricktown brewery -Joplin Mo Bricktown brewery is a chain,but has that hometown local feel. Service was excellent. We were seated right away and our server Skip was very attentive, fast, and very professional. Appetizer was the Elote chicken dip. Nice flavor and didn’t skimp on chicken. Flavor is exactly what you would expect from a Mexican street market. The turkey bacon guacamole sandwich hit the spot. The turkey was tender and the guacamole had the right amount of spice. Bread was nice and crunchy. Hatch chile burger was very flavorful and hatch chile was very present. I would recommend a pretzel bun as opposed to the brioche bun. The brioche bun didn’t hold up well with all the ingredients and was a bit messy. Super laid back atmosphere. Excellent service and excellent food. Highly recommend. I was a little unsure about bringing my underage daughter because it looks more like a bar from outside but once we went inside, it was very comfortable. My daughter liked her Blackstone BLT. I really enjoyed the Meat Sweats Pasta dish. Both items were plenty to fill us up. We were super hungry and we both found it difficult to eat all of the portions. The waitress was really nice and prompt. Service was quick. I'll definitely stop in again while touring Route 66.

We stopped by this gem for a late night dinner after driving for many hours. We came in at almost 9pm and they were closing at 10. The service was amazing. The waitress explained the specials, as well as described everything we asked about on the menu. She was very friendly and attentive. The food came up pretty quickly and it was all so delicious. Portions were bigger than expected so we took boxes with us and had it for lunch the next day. Btw, get the chicken wings! They are huge! And so so flavorful, perfectly smoked, no need to even dip into the sauces. Overall, we loved it! 10/10

My favorite hot dog restaurant closed in Joplin years ago. Since then, I've missed the fun, creative, and delicious atmosphere and food that it had. Today, I think I found that again at Blackstone Gastropub. They have creative and delicious dishes. They have excellent beer. They have fun, colorful art. They have good music. They also have excellent, friendly service. I have definitely found a new favorite Joplin restaurant. Everything about this place is a win. I don't know why it took me so long to try it, but I will definitely be back soon.
