The Grand Cafe is a premier dining establishment that offers a delightful culinary experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Boasting a stellar rating of 4.5, The Grand Cafe…
The Grand Cafe is becoming one of my favorite places to eat in all of mid-Missouri. Although the service isn't what I would classify as "white glove", the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about what's on the menu. At this point I've had just about everything on the menu. They do have daily specials which I highly recommend. The desserts and sides are changed daily and seasonally. Most everything is made in house. The steak frites never disappoint. The bread pudding is huge! And delicious! The prices are very reasonable too. You could honestly pay twice as much if this same restaurant was in Chicago or New York. Check it out and save room for the desserts!
I can't believe Grand Cafe has been there for 12 years, and I just go there for dinner. Dawn was an amazing server. Very friendly and took great care of us. We were there for our 2nd anniversary dinner. We started out with the warm pimento cheese dip. Was a little fluffier than I expected but very good. The husband had the 10 oz filet with the lemon butter. I wasn't sure about lemon on steak, but it was delicious. The green beans with bacon were like my grandmother use to make. I got the last serving of housemade seafood ravioli with a crab sauce and grilled chicken on top. It was so good! There were chunks of scallops and whole popcorn shrimp inside. That is fresh! We finished off with the gooey butter cake brownie and a scoop of homemade ice cream. It is an explosion of sweet goodness. Definitely stop by and see Dawn and have a fabulous dinner.
This was a pleasant experience from start to finish... Who knew this Gem existed? Not me....its totally worth checking out! My first visit has me hooked on this fresh and sophisticated eatery and I shall return!

I will start off by saying that I was an avid Pizzaria Napolitano fan for decades before Rias bought them out. I have been going to this location since it was opened many years ago, actually over a decade, and the food has slowly went downhill. We got the buffet and the wings were fried to a crisp, the squash/zuchinni was still crisp and not done at all. The service was lacking, but she was overwhelmed from lack of help so it wasn't really her fault, she did the best she could. The place is very nice and clean. The pizza and fried chicken was good, as were the taters. It's a decent buffet for a good price, it just may be hit or miss right now from my experience. Here's some puddin.....
Super affordable Breakfast for a family of five, service and food was amazing. The only negative is they just opened at 8.30a and the bathrooms looked like they haven't been cleaned in years, super disappointed,no toilet paper or soap. Felt like the manager needs to pay more attention to little things like this before opening for business.
A good value and a quick option for a satisfying meal. Food wasn’t anything fancy, but it was solid quality for a buffet. Lots of carbs to fill you up. Service was decent. Restaurant itself is actually very nice and clean.

Cool place! Booths divided into jail cells, bathroom section dubbed "gas chambers". Great pizza and craft beer. We enjoyed a flight - excellent October fest and Raspberry beer! Feta Bacon pizza was delightful!
We sat on the patio and made ourselves at home with a group of 6. The waitresses were all so nice and remembered our drinks orders. They let us use the big fan since it was still a little warm out when we got there. The food was so amazing. I got the bacon bomb burger with fries and a side of cheese sauce. I was so hungry and it all looked so tasty that I forgot to snap a before I dug in picture. Everyone at the table got something different and had great things to say. I highly recommend eating here and I will definitely be returning.
As I was searching for a place to try some local craft beer, I found Prison Brews and they did not disappoint! I went for a late lunch around 1:30 PM. The atmosphere was great, how they incorporated the prison theme was super fun! The beer was delicious. While I'm normally not a dark beer girl, the Parole Porter was actually my favorite on my flight. It was deliciously chocolatey with some caramel flavor too. The service was great, my food came out extra fast. I had the Reuben with Sweet Potato Fries. (Forgot the picture before I'd already devoured half of it.) It was very good and they were the waffle style fries, which are my favorite. And the best part was that my bill was only $21!! You can barely go to a fast food place anymore for that, let alone try great beer! I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Jeff City!

If you go to Jefferson City, this is a must try! Everything about the place was great. There is no kids menu but the portion sizes are large enough to share. Don't let the prices scare you away. The food is fresh and doesn't taste like it came right off a truck. You must try the chicken strips! I asked for an espresso martini. The bartenders never made one but did for me, and it did not disappoint. We will be going back soon before we leave town!
Amazing spot! Great, friendly, and fast service with even better food! Got the chicken tenders and tots with a side of cheese sauce and it did not disappoint. The portion is large and there's plenty to share! Some of the best chicken tenders I've had in a while with crispy and light batter. Definitely check this place out next time you are around you won't be disappointed.
It's the city's oldest continually operating bar, rich in history. The food was made from scratch and the service is top notch! The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the owners are present and super friendly, there's often spoken word and song performed by the owner in accompaniment to a vast variety of spirits and food. There's a heated outdoor patio to dine on as well so you can enjoy the views. I highly recommend Paddy Malone's Irish Pub to everyone!

I am so glad we stopped by for the first time as we enjoyed our good old fashioned meals! Highly recommend this place as I tasted quality food and exceptional service! Thanks for keeping the tradition going!! I’m bringing the fam jam for breakfast to see what our taste buds tell me…
As ADORABLE as this place is, BEWARE. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, a Cheeseburger and Toasted raviolis. The burger was pink in the center. I almost vomited after the third bite when I noticed it. The spaghetti was good, it wasn't anything to write home about but edible. The Chicken Alfredo had to have been bad- whether it was old, or just left out too long I don't know- but my partner and daughter shared it and they were in the bathroom after just a few bites. It really didn't taste bad, it was pretty flavorless in fact- But Their stomachs were torn up for hours after eating it. We definitely won't be back.
We've heard such good things about Oscar's since moving to Jeff and it did not disappoint for our first lunch. Really good burger, chicken strips and fries. Service was great too, we will definitely be back.

Great service, ok atmosphere, but the food was bad, the tuna sashimi was dry & stale, the steak was very average, like a 2 star restaurant & the wine was horrible
Excellent steak and seafood restaurant. I enjoyed a filet and fried lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfect and the lobster tail was amazing. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food & service! Even though it appeared they were short staffed we had great service. Highly recommend the key lime martini if you like fruity, sweet cocktails. It was so good! We had the crab cake appetizer, filets, & deep fried lobster. All was cooked perfect & tasty. This local restaurant is a gem & we will be back!

I can not recall ever being somewhere so hoity toity. I was wearing business casual, but still had eyes rolled at me 3 times. Madison's is definitely a fine dining establishment. Be prepared to spend a large amount of money; few things on the menu are under $20. The bread and butter given to me at the table was lacking. The butter was a very bland cream without even salt. From this first impression, I wasn't expecting much from the main course. However, the cannelloni was excellent! The noodles were cooked just right, and the flavor profile was masterfully balanced. Good show. Note: metered street parking
We were part of a group that had a prior reservation and to us, this place was not what we had expected. Let's start with the positives --- The atmosphere was perfect and the room was ready for our group even though it was a fairly large party. This place has a lot of space for groups. The waiter we were assigned did the best he could and was very polite and patient. The negatives -- We only had one waiter assigned for a group that must of had close to 35 people so it took forever to get drinks, appetizers and food. The prices for food is what you would expect to pay in a somewhat nice Italian restaurant, i.e. $20 for a small lasagna, etc, but for what we received....it should of been $10. The portions were small and lacked flavor. We heard numerous others in our party that were not happy with their food, i.e. undercooked, small portions, etc. We really had high hopes for this place as for years, I've heard about them but this was our first visit. Sadly, I'm thinking this may be our last visit UNLESS other customers start to have a consistent good experience and they write a review. If we do decide to go back at some point, I'll write another review depending on that experience.
We were here tonight and Madison’s did NOT disappoint!! The new drink menu is ! Mussels were huge and incredible portion, better than we’ve had up and down the Florida coast! Salad and steak were great. Food allergy friendly. We literally didn’t even know they were under new ownership until they told us. Will trek from an hour away to eat here every chance we get!

Visiting Jefferson City and this restaurant was recommended to us by a local business owner, so we went in for lunch. I don't give a ton of 5 star reviews, but the way the staff handled the situation they were in impressed me. They immediately told us before ordering that they were understaffed in the kitchen, and that food was taking a little bit longer to get out. Since we were not in a rush, this wasn't a big deal. The food didn't take terribly long and was very, very good we ordered the prime rib sandwich and the reuben. They put a twist on the reuben that gives is a slightly unique flavor, and it was very surprising in a good way. They again apologized for the sandwiches taking a little bit long when they delivered the food and made sure to check with us after to make sure everything was good and reiterate that they don't normally take that long to get food out. To summarize, the atmosphere is awesome. The place has a fantastic history. The food was great, and the service was stellar.
I actually went to the Ecco Lounge the night before I continued my move east this Spring with my folks. It's a restaurant they like going to occasionally and there's a couple dishes they like to have when visiting. The Ecco Lounge is one of those places that has a colorful local history. So much so, they are proud to share it on their menu as you decide what to order. The main bar area itself is what you'd expect, though they have preserved as much of the place's history as possible in the floors and furniture. If you dine in that area you will certainly enjoy it. However, I would like to see a little more thought and personality go into the dining rooms behind the main bar area as it is kind of close quarters and not as "colorful" as the bar. At the very least tie it into the rest of the place a little more seamlessly. Many locals know of and rave about the prime rib sandwich ($15) and when I ordered it, it didn't disappoint. For the price, you get a nice piece of prime rib served on a toasted hoagie with horseradish sauce and au jus on the side. This was a very mouthwatering sandwich and I enjoyed every bite. The au jus was also very tasty and complimented the sadwich. The only critique that it was a hair underdone; while this didn't bother me, some folks might not like that. However, I will add the disclaimer that it may have been more the service that evening than the sandwich itself. The fries served alongside the sandwich were done just right and we're crispy. My folks also ordered the fried mushrooms to start our meal. Overall, they were good and the dip paired well with it. However, especially per my folks' critique they were a little soggy and not quite as good as they usually are. The service was decent, but wasn't the best. I am probably giving a little more generous rating than my folks would have, but the service was a little slow and could use some improvement. I believe the service we had also affected the food we had, but not too heavily. Part of that may have also been to us dining midweek, so keep this in mind when visiting. I would like to see the service and atmosphere improved to really help sell their food. But, Ecco Lounge is a unique bar and lounge with some really tasty dishes. Definitely worth trying out at least once, especially for the prime rib sandwich.
Went to the oldest restaurant and lounge in Jeff City. We came for the spicy boiled shrimp but they were sold out. We decided on the pork tenderloin breaded in Ritz cracker crumbs but alas that was sold out as well. Cold beer good food great vibe. I would return to try the dishes we missed.

One word sums up this place out of all the restaurants we have been to in Jeff so far.......AMAZING! From the super friendly staff to the delicious food, this place is definitely a new found favorite as I have a feeling we will be in the area just a bit more in the foreseeable future. Are only regret on this visit.....we were so overwhelmed that we only took one pic. I guess this gives us a definite reason for a return visit in the near future : ) Thanks, Dukes, for a great first time experience!
My wife and I have been doing this thing where we go to food places that aren’t chains. It’s been a fun experience and this restaurant was no exception. The food was very good and unique. It’s a burger place but they have something for every taste bud on the menu. The jalapeño grits were particularly good. The soda is all made with real cain sugar so it tastes amazing. The staff are dressed well for the vibes. Would recommend this to anyone that is wanting a good place to eat in Jeff city. I will say I would be more inclined to leave a tip if I got the check at my table rather than expected to tip at the beginning when paying for my food. Can’t wait to try out their bar mixed drinks next.
Service is great, friendly, nice, and helpful. Got a burger and salad, fries and grits. Grits were the top of the meal, all downhill from there. Fries were ok, would have been better if they were served hot. Salad was pretty awful: shredded iceberg sets the bar so low that it's hard to get to something great if you're not ordering a wedge. Comes with plenty of protein if you're looking for that. The burger was ok, but tanked by a sweet "hot sauce" drenched all over it, hiding any savory or beef notes. Stick with a standard burger, don't go for sauces. Inside is clean, outside is clean, definitely weird to order with tables a foot behind you, but space is what it is.

True 5 star! Seafood ravioli was outstanding. Tiramisu is a must. Coffee soaked lady fingers in amazing cream with cocoa powder on top. Oh my! Caesar salad good. Veal piccata didn't have capers but my husband loved it. Service was fantastic. This is now a destination restaurant for us! Outstanding!
The service was friendly and personable. The atmosphere was relaxed but on the classier side. The food was fantastic. I had the Grouper with shrimp etouffee. It was a great choice...but was a Special and not always on the menu. Monica had a filet with a very good cream sauce. The house salad with creamy Italian dressing is a great choice. As is, the posted ravioli appetizer. One of the upper management/owners made her way to us and spent 30 minutes getting to know us after dinner. Oohh!!!. And the butter was warm and spreadable!!!!. You do not find that very often! Great place to eat.
Ordered the lasagna and tiramisu. Both dishes were great! Shout out to our waitress Kendal, who took great care of our party!

Incredibly delicious! The smoked pork chop and roulade were amazing. Mom had the ham hock for her birthday dinner. So much amazing food and the service was tremendous, attentive and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful dinning experience.
Love the food here!! Best little restaurant around. The owner and staff are very friendly. Stay late to sing karaoke!!
This place was great! I cleaned my plate of everything other than the sauerkraut. I did eat most of it. The prices are pretty steep, but the pork chop was AMAZING! Good German food if you are into that. It is a little dark inside. It's probably a good date atmosphere more than family time.

Delicious food! You can tell they use quality ingredients. The service is very fast, and the staff is helpful. Cinco de Mayo is clean and festive. The queso is a nice blanco cheese, and the beans are fantastic. There is plenty of room and patio seating. Enjoy!
Great margaritas, even better food! Our server was awesome as well. We were just stopping through on our drive home and we are super glad we did!! Highly recommend
We have tried so many Mexican restaurants in the area, only to be disappointed. However, this place exceeded our expectations! My child said “mmm you can taste the effort!” And I agree! I was served one of my favorite ALa Diabla dishes that I’ve ever had. The portions were sizable, prices were fair, and the service was quick. We plan to make this our “place” for Mexican food. If you are a true foodie you will enjoy every bite! Parking is a little challenging if busy. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Visit #2 and we each tried something new. Clean plates all around!!! We love this place!!

We were in town looking for a place to have lunch and it is hard to miss this place as you enter Jeff City. The location is perfect, not far from the downtown area and the building itself is very cool. We went late in the afternoon so it wasn't very busy. The atmosphere and general décor inside the building was nice. No complaints about the service either. However, the food was just mediocre at best. Most items we had lacked the normal flavor you would expect, especially from their namesake burger.
Ordered ribeye steak, it was very good. Changed rating, went in by myself got seated all the way at the end of the restaurant, literally a corner. Nobody came, I had to flag server down and she didn’t know what was happening. After 20+ minutes of waiting I left the restaurant. Bummer as I was very much looking forward to eating there.
Went to big whisky for dinner tonight with my daughter… my daughter had the tenders and fries with BBQ coleslaw and I had the Philly. Food was amazing. 10/10 for me

Went in for dinner. Food came out hot fresh and fast. Very good. We had Lauren for our server. What a delight. She was very efficient and helpful. Seemed to be right there when we needed something She had a wonderful friendly personality. Great experience.
We ate lunch there today. The food was pretty good. Generous proportions. Fries could have been cooked just a little longer. We had an amazing waitress named Layla. She quickly had our drinks on the table and they was never less than half full. You would be hard pressed to find any better service in town. Thank you.
Some of the best BBQ I have ever experienced. I had a great time trying all of the sauce flavors and seeing which I liked best. Consider opening one in Minnesota. We would LOVE to come again!
