Golden Skillet is a premier dining establishment that specializes in offering a tantalizing array of comfort food, redefining the classic culinary experience. With a commitment…
If you want to bypass the fast food locations the Golden Skillet has a huge menu that is made-to-order homemade cooking. They have so many food options. And the price is reasonable. I must confess that the fried gizzard is the best in the state of North Carolina. They have melt-in-your-mouth super tender gizzards that you will not find anywhere else. Most of the food that is offered here you will find at a sit-down restaurant versus a fast food location. I also was amazed at how golden brown and tasty the pork chops were made. The menu is very detailed with their prices. The workers are all nice, attentive and friendly. The dining area is very fresh and clean with great window lighting. This place may look a little old-fashioned but the quality of the service and the food options are delightful. Don’t expect everything to be perfect but for the most part, the majority of the food here is pretty good.
The staff were awesome including the manager. The food was delivered promptly but the chicken was not freshly cooked, it was not hot at all however I enjoyed the meal. I had driven a long distance and just wanted to eat. I know they would have gladly exchanged the chicken if I had brought it to their attention. All of the staff seems to have had such an accommodating attitude towards their customers which is so hard to find these days.
Word of advice, the lady at drive through window has terrible customer service skills. You may want to place her somewhere else. She was rude, not accommodating, and lacked the skills needed to take an order. I ended up canceling my order and going somewhere else that treated me like a valued customer. Won’t be going here anymore.

Well, I've been in town for about a week for work, and drove by this place about three different times. Finally, I said, let's go! And boy am I glad I did!!! Fried chicken, amazing! Four piece chicken meal with hush puppies, And I added a side order of shrimp. I don't know what it is, but they are breaded deadly! So tasty, I got that little bit of Cajun style spice in it, little baby shrimp fried to perfection. I also got a size small pint or half a pint of coleslaw salad, which honestly was better than KFC! Puppies, you can't go wrong with hush puppies. For a nice southern style deep fried chicken, that's tasty moist and fresh, you can't go wrong with Smithfield! Will definitely be back, if I'm back in town.
We liked our entrées. The barbecue was very good and the chicken strips are working, juicy and humongous. The hush puppies were tasty, but we weren’t such a fan of the potato salad, which we both thought was too sweet and for some reason my boyfriend did not like the coleslaw. It was very quick, clean and nice customer service And the bathrooms were nice too.
Why is it so hard to complete an order correctly? It never fails anytime I come here they screw the order up or forget something and the last two times I’ve been there they haven’t put the sauces I asked for which seems like a little thing yes but when the entire meal revolves around the sauces you dip with then it ruins the entire meal! And what makes matters worse is that when I get to the the window I asked the guy did he put all my sauces in the bag because they forgot last time and he responds “I got you covered boss, it’s all in the bag!” Only for me to get home and find not only is the quality unsatisfactory but of course they FORGOT ALL OF MY SAUCES. Food is way too expensive these days to have employees that make such careless mistakes over and over again. I should’ve known better than to come back to this location after the last time. Over $50 down the drain

We just had the most delicious meal here. I ordered a chicken & pasta special and my husband ordered the salmon & crab special. Both were outstanding! We also tried the blueberry bread pudding for dessert & it did not disappoint! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again visiting our family!
Hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to. We came here last year and I had the shrimp and grits and wow it was the best I ever had. Granted, I am not big on shrimp and grits nor have I had a lot of it in my years, but it was so good we came back this year and I had it again. We also tried kids Alfredo and it was top notch. The Alfredo is very creamy and very well made (coming from someone who worked in an Italian restaurant for years). We also had the kebobs and aging they were very well done. Lastly was a kids pizza and I was surprised to see a high quality cheese on it. Overall a great place and it will be a regular visit for us when we come to the Henderson area.
We were traveling and just passing through, but the town was so cute and festive. The service was good, the atmosphere was lovely and homey, and the food was tasty with large portions. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer which was delicious. I ordered the chicken pot pie which came out piping hot and had a fluffy crust with a crispy top. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. My only complaint would be that I wish the veggies were diced into small pieces instead of long strips of peppers and onions. I think that would make the texture better, but it is just my opinion and may not apply to everyone as the taste was very good.

We ordered Christmas Margaritas and Los Amigos, which was the special entree for Friday. Delicious margarita with crushed peppermint candy on the rim of the glass, and a little candy cane with a small slice of a tangerine. The Los Amigos is a chimichanga and a burrito with beef and chicken. We've eaten at Mazatlan many times and this was the best dinner I've enjoyed.
This place was recommended to us by a local. When we entered, they sat us immediately and the place looked clean & new. We ordered shrimp fajitas & chili Verde, both were delicious and don't get me started on their delicious chips & salsa! They were so good we couldn't stop eating them. Service was fast, friendly and helpful. Would we return to this place? Most definitely and we'll bring friends!
We loved everything. The food was so good. Our server was wonderful.

I owe my awesome dinner experience to my waitress Danielle. She was not only friendly and attentive, but suggested these cheesecake stuffed pancakes. They were (surprisingly) not as sweet as I was expecting. I was only able to eat about half because they were so big!!!
Four stars for a fabulous Cracker Barrel. Warmly welcomed and brought to a table, my order (meatloaf with mac & cheese and carrots) was taken immediately and it did not take very long at all. A nice portion, served hot and with a smile. After dinner, I parked the Sprinter in a dark corner of the lot and locked up for the night. Yes, my Sprinter is converted into an RV and Cracker Barrel tolerates us staying overnight in their lot. It was a quiet night and in the morning, I was up and on my way before they opened. So it was a nice dinner and a great night's sleep. Thanks, CB!
We had a wonderful breakfast here on a Saturday morning. We RV camped at Raleigh Outdoor Theater Friday night and then came here for a great time. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. The only downside was no military discount, but aside from that we enjoyed our meal.

Excellent spot in Henderson for some Tex-Mex food. Great atmosphere and drinks. I did not give them a five-star due to customer service lacking. I came toward the end of the night, and the bartender forgot about me. Started cleaning up around me, spraying water. Did not give me an option for the last call. Just total disregard. Make sure you show up in time to leave before they start closing.
Good place, good food. My tacos were tasty, and soup was delicious. People are nice and friendly. Love their salsa. Enjoyed my lunch here.
The vibe is it. Gorgeous place. I did not expect it from the outside, but stepping in was like a whole different world. I thought it was awesome. Food was on point, and so was the service. I can't wait to come again. Obviously, towards 7pm it gets wayyy more crowded, but that's only because Henderson has no other spot with this vibe I'm telling you. I got chorri pollo it came with mushrooms and I didn't have to ask. And my hubs got the ultimate ACP which I will be getting next time for sure. Food was

Omg the food portions were gigantic. Like you will have left overs for 2 more meals. Staff was polite but a little slow in drink refills. Will definitely be stopping by when we pass through this area.
Look at this loaded plate of Nachos with pastor pork, beef and shrimp. It was literally 4 inches tall and enough for everyone to share.
The food was amazing. We did receive the wrong order, so I'm not really sure what we ate, but it was good. I called the restaurant, and they took down my name and number and said they would make it right the next time we came. That's good customer service, and we will definitely be back.

Went back for the first time since moving out of the area almost 9 Years ago. I grew up in Louisburg and went to school in Henderson so we frequented pizza inn back in the day. I loved the remodel! It looked really nice and clean and so organized. Food was absolutely hot, fresh and banging especially for the price and chain pizza. Salad and pasta bars were awesome and everything was tasty. Dessert bar impressed me the most, delicious and tons of choices. Drinks were fresh and service was good. Price was awesome. Definitely will be back. Thanks yall. Keep up the good work.
Stopped for lunch on the way through NC. Great food at a great price. Fresh vegetables on the salad bar. Good pizza and pasta options. Soup tasted homemade. Friendly service. Highly recommend.
On a recent trip my husband and I stopped at this Pizza Inn and had lunch. We both got the buffet. The kitchen was on top of keeping the buffet stocked. The food was delicious and hot out of the oven. I highly recommend this location.

I have been here twice and I absolutely love the food. I've seen a lot of comments talking about how the place is kind of run down but I say it's a quaint little place it could use a little face over and some cosmetic things done to the place but that's not taken away from how great the food is!! This is definitely a place to go and get some great soul food
Food was amazing . Visited the first time today for the celebration of my cousins birthday . Definitely my new go to spot in NC.
Oh my the food was delicious everything we had was so tasty down home comfort food Unfortunately we ate most of it before we took the pic cause it was so good! So we had fried chicken mac n cheese baked spaghetti Collards potato salad and honey bun cake restaurant itself a little dated but the food was A-1!

Stopped with my granddaughter for breakfast in Sunday morning. Angela T. was our server, and she was great with such a friendly attitude. We had the cinnamon rool pancake breakfast, best pancakes I've ever had!
Our server L’Kia was very pleasant. Went out of her way to serve us. She is a rare find in the service industry today. I applaud her. I hope her manager recognizes how fortunate Denny’s is to have her. The food was delicious. Hats off the the kitchen staff also. Very clean. This Denny’s gets my vote for the best Denny’s I’ve every been too.
My husband and I love Denny’s Franchise and while traveling we decided to stop and enjoy some delicious breakfast and this location was super clean and staff was friendly! The zesty nachos are our favorite and I loved that this location layers the nachos. Customer service is there and the food was delicious! Thank you!
Mayflower Seafood Restaurant is a premier dining establishment dedicated to bringing the freshest and most delectable seafood to our valued guests. Nestled in the heart of the c…
This Mayflower used to be a family go to over the years but however the quality has diminished in a way that is indescribable. We ordered wings, calamari and mozzarella sticks. The calamari was overcooked and , the wings tasted of fish ( reflecting the grease being refused), and the mozzarella sticks had enough grease to fry chicken for Sunday dinner. We ended up complaining only to have the same issue when the remade appetizers were brought back out to us. The steak was decent but not up to par with the price. The fried shrimp tasted of grease and batter. The French fries were not fresh. The cold shrimp tasted of fish water. This is disheartening considering how tasty their food use to be. Despite the disappointing visits prior, we decided to give this location another chance. However, this visit only confirmed that they need serious help in that kitchen. The only enjoyable part of the experience was our waitress MeMe, who did an amazing job as a server. Especially since she was the ONLY waitress there. In summary do not waste your time or your money dining here.
Good size portions, seasoned well and delicious. Waitress did very well even though it was her third day.
Food was cooked to perfection! Started off with a bloomin onion (which was excellent) then I had a fried scallop platter and my wife ordered the popcorn shrimp platter. We were both beyond pleased with the foods flavor and generous portions they provided. Finished our valentines day lunch with a limited time, made from scratch strawberry shortcake...by far the best cake I have ever had! We left very satisfied with the experience. The service here is impeccable and you can taste the love and passion they put into their craft. Highly reccommend!

Seemed like a popular spot with the locals. Very well maintained restaurant. We got the weekend special. Choice of protein, side, bread and salad bar. The salad bar reminded me of one from the 1980’s, kinda nostalgic….enjoyed it.
Sarah was my server and was very knowledgeable on the menu. I ordered a 12oz ribeye medium rare. The steak came out perfect with a touch of seasoning. Fries were hot, and the texas toast was very good.
Family friendly steakhouse. Very professional and friendly staff. Great location if traveling. Can't fault any of our food, it was cooked perfectly. It was delicious. Plenty of parking and waiting area inside very comfortable. Decent prices but remember it is called Ribeye Steakhouse Good children menu.

Our server Jessica from the bar was amazing! Her customer service was great. She was very attentive and didn’t overwhelm us, but made sure we were taken care of. Also, The peach tea was delicious!
What a great find just off the highway!!! Awesome staff super friendly and fun. I enjoyed the deconstructed kabobs! Steak, veg and rice. Huge portion at a ridiculously low price! The manager, bar people and servers are really wonderful at what they do! This is my second visit in about six weeks. They were super busy And Most of the same staff was working both visits. I’m from Williamsburg, Virginia and our Ruby‘s closed a few years back so it’s nice when I drive through this part of town to meet with friendly faces that work hard and enjoy their job. Some people prefer independently places, But this is definitely like a neighborhood pub.
Because I have signed up to be a Ruby Rewards member I receive special promotions in my email regularly. My favorite promotion is for the buy one entree, get any other entree of equal or lesser value FREE. What a steal of a deal. Getting a FREE Ruby Tuesday entree is a real treat. With my BOGO promo coupon, I ordered two full-size baby back Ribs. One of the Rib dinners was FREE. And they were tender and delicious. I also added the all-you-can-eat salad bar for $4.99. That is also another great treat. We were lucky to have gotten a really good and attentive Waitress named Taylor. Taylor was very pleasant and friendly. They have another great treat that allows you to add fried or grilled shrimp to your entree for just $4.00. It is always nice to find a fresh and clean bathroom when going out to a restaurant. And plenty of available free parking. Sign up to get great Ruby Rewards that will save you money.

The restaurant was first come, first serve and restaurant was seat yourself. Pino's was busy and had a very steady line for to go orders. The servers who were working worked as a team and made sure everyone was taken care of. I had everyone stop by my table to make sure that I had everything I needed. I ordered jalapenos poppers and must warn you they are very hot out of the fryer. I ordered the large everything pizza and it was fantastic. The crust was crispy, and the topping was plentiful. The smell in the restaurant was like walking in a bakery and smelling all the fresh bread cooking. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great pizza. My only regret was I did not order another pizza to go.
The atmosphere was a little meh, but the lasagna was good. service was pretty quick so it was a good place for lunch.
Absolutely amazing!!! Definitely have the pizza, highly recommended!

The best Mexican in Henderson - and there are a lot of options! Everything is made fresh from scratch. Can’t be beat!
A true hidden gem. Everything is homemade, down to the tortillas. The family who runs it is very sweet. The ribs on Friday and Saturday are lights out. Don’t be scared by it’s appearance, the food will not let you down.

The service was wonderful. Extremely on top of everything. Never had to ask for refills. He comped my soup the moment he learned I didn’t love it. No complaints at all with the staff. But…. This place is insanely expensive for the quality and for what it is. The food was mediocre at best. There was basically no lobster in the lobster bisque. The calamari was good and you get a ton of it. The lasagna was very greasy, the cheese on top was burnt to a crisp and inedible, there were not a lot of noodles and an over abundance of meat. The greasy sauce may have been a personal dislike though. I know some styles of sauce are supposed to be that way but I couldn’t eat it because it was making me queasy. The fettuccine Alfredo was also just ok nothing great.
Food and service is fantastic. We went on 2 different ocassions and sat at the bar. We had veal parm, pesto gnocchi, arancine, Philly steak sandwich, and spaghetti carbonara. First off, a huge shout out to our bartender Archie, he was great to chat with and was very attentive. Now for the food review: - arancine: very good, creamy inside and crunchy outside with the zesty tomato sauce, highly recommend. - veal parm: large patio. And came out piping hot. Veal is usually bland meat, but the flavor of the sauce made up for it. - pesto gnocchi: the gnocchi was fluffy and pillowy. The sauce was extremely garlicky, vampires beware. - Philly cheesesteak sando: highly recommended as a very popular dish. Only critique is that it would've been better on a true hoagie vs. a ciabatta like roll. - spaghetti carbonara: came out piping hot. The crispy panchetta and creamy sauce are smoky and rich. Delicious. - last but not least, the breadsticks... do not sleeping these. They're fluffy, hot, buttery, just delicious. Overall, we will be going back. Such a great place.
Great food selections, great wine and great service. They were very attentive and the bread srick were amazing. I have the potatoe-wrapped salmon and my friend had the chicken marsala with cacio e pepe and it was all soo delicious! Can't wait to return.

This review is two tiers. The first part is service. Part two is the food. This was also our first time eating here. You know what they say about first impressions. We arrived at 6:20pm for a 6:30pm reservation. We were seated promptly, and then the night went downhill. It took 10 minutes before we gave our drink order. The lady apologized for the delay. They were really busy. We also gave her our full order at this time. Our drink came out 5 minutes later. It took another 10 minutes to get some bread. Our appetizers came out 15 minutes after they ordered. Our soups came out 10 minutes after the appetizers. Then we waited. It took a full 15 to 20 minutes to get our entrees. At this point, I was ready to take them to go. When we got the check, the waitress explained she was helping in a private party and thought someone else would have grabbed our table. This wasn't her fault. This was bad management. If you know you having a large, private party coming in during the busiest time, you put more people on the clock. The waitress did deduct the cost of the appetizers from the check . I only left a $10 tip on a $76 bill. The reason was the very slow service, and being told our main course would be up in a few minutes by two different people. From the time the first person said a few minutes, I clocked it to be almost 15 minutes. Now for part two, We just moved here to Henderson from New Jersey. Finding good Italian food that measures up to NJ italian is not easy. The food here is amazing. It had great flavor, and the portions were nice sized. My wife had the Shrimp Fra-Diavolo. She enjoyed it. She didn't think it was spicy enough. In all honesty, she was ready to leave by the time we got the food, and she never asked for red pepper seed. I had the Shrimp Parmigian. It was very good. I was shocked the shrimp weren't breaded. Other than that, oh, so good. So we will try this establishment one more time to see how it really is. Being a big baseball fan, I'll give a place up to three strikes. After that, they are out. So far, the count is 1-1. One ball for the qualify of the food. One strike for the poor service.
It has been over 8 years since I was at Tuscany Grill. I always had fond memories of this place. Food was amazing. When we arrived we sat immediately. We were served a soft loaf of bread with pads of butter. Bread is so fresh and a bit dense so you know it’s made in house. It should be illegal to be that delicious. Salads were great and chopped perfectly bite size. The ranch was one of the best salads ever tasted. Bruschetta was perfect! Garlicky, juicy tomatoes and basil….they could go a bit heavier on the basil imo. Pasta meals were spectacular and great size portions! Now let me tell you about the staff who work here. Kyle was tending our table and gave us recommendations on casinos to go to to get outa the rat race in town. Eve was a ninja. You drink any of your water…she’ll vamp on you and fill it. You won’t even see her until your glass is in her hand. We saw her clean a table after people left and you’d think she was cleaning her own table at home. She was so thorough and cleans around the sides and edges of the table. They know many of the customers who come in. You can compare this place to a well oiled machine. They all work and flow together perfectly and it’s a beautiful thing to see. I wish I had this restaurant near my home. I’d be here all the time. I will always recommend this establishment if I know of anyone going to Vegas and wanna get off the strip. I give 12 stars out of 10!!
This restaurant has been around a long time, so we thought we'd give it a try. First the positives; food was OK, prices were reasonable. Had the veal parm which was OK, but no "wow. Main thing with Italian is the sauce. Their sauce was ok, no wow in it. Now the negatives; lots of retirees here and the atmosphere was dark and dingy. Looked like they've never updated the place since it was built. Not sure how this place gets 5 stars, it isn't that real Italian. Very old and basic items on the menu.

Todd’s never disappoints. The most amazing subtle yet “quirky” takes on some of our favorite dishes. The halibut & coffee rubbed ribeye were literal perfection. The goats cheese wontons are an absolute must! Ambiance is simple, quiet and low stress.
This unique dining experience was amazing! From the moment you walk in and greeted by the staff. Our Waitress Terry was excellent and a pleasure to have serving us. The food to put it mildly was out of this world delicious. From the Goat Cheese Ragoons, perfectly cooked filets & the Lemon Mousee and Crem Brule, I couldn't have been happier! The lemon drop was so delicious as well, and my boyfriend said his drink was the best he ever had! Highly recommend. It is worth it Chef Todd is an amazing chef!
They totally nailed it. Great service, great food and excellent dinning experience. The wine selection was very nice. The prices were right.

Always great service, food is always delicious and great atmosphere. We eat here a lot. Pictures are from different visits.
I went there during the lunch time which has a lot of people but they handled them well. I like their steak and options of meat. The service and atmosphere were really nice. The bread and spread were really great. The bowl of chilies was perfect spicy for me. The mushroom from my sides was a bit burnt but still taste good.
Wanna to say that I saw very well-served steaks at the place while my 20-oz prime rib that evening looked like something from a steamer. The freshe rolls (you can always ask for more) were the highlight of the evening. Great ambiene and the servers are very every friendly.

I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday in late July. The venue was quiet and classy. Our server was charismatic and polite, knowledgeable about the menu and gave us options to accommodate my allergies. The half lobster I ordered was safest without their house seasoning, so it tasted a bit bland. Most other venues offer to prepare it in plain butter, but I just was grateful to get anything safe. Our server then came back to ask if I wanted the second half because "they couldn't sell it otherwise (without the seasoning)," so I agreed. I hate to waste food...especially if a life was taken to provide the meal. Aside from being a less tasty option, it was hard to detached the meat from the shell. Never had experienced this issue, but it was a bit disappointing. The rest of the dinner went fairly smoothly until our server spilled my water on me and then we had to leave in a rush. There was no acknowledgement from the manager for the mishap and after all that, instead of redeeming my reward points for the meal, the server charged my card anyway. We won't be coming back to Sonoma, but Pasta Cucina has always been good to us so we still have options at Sunset Station.
I wanted to venture towards this side of town (I live in the far Northwest part of Las Vegas) because it's been a few since I've tried a different restaurant in Henderson; not to mention, I had an urge to play at a different Station property compare to the one close to my house. Therefore, my wife and I decided to eat at this restaurant on 11 Nov 2023 because of the aforementioned, and because we wanted to celebrate our long tenure serving in the greatest military in the world. I utilized the online reservation system on the same day of the reservation, and it was seamless (I even got the time I wanted). We arrived significantly earlier than our reservation time because we left the house anticipating traffic and such - we ended up not confronting any traffic. Needless to say, the restaurant accommodated us and allowed us to get seated within 8 minutes of arrival. We were seated in a booth, which was appreciated because of the back pain we have to deal with while sitting on regular chairs. I immediately noticed the décor in this restaurant and how rustic it looks (in a good way; not the "old, requires immediate updating" concept). The restaurant lighting and music made the experience very comfortable. The menu items seem to be similar with all the Station property steakhouses, which made it easier for us to decide what we wanted to order. We ended up ordering the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, Grass-Fed Filet Mignon, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Green Beans Amandine, Mashed Yams, and Shishito Peppers. The fried chicken was a new concept for us because normally, I'm not a fan of ordering anything other than steak, at a steakhouse - but I'm glad we did! We ordered the steak and chicken because we were going to split it in half so we both can sample each entrée. The steak wasn't seasoned as what I've experienced at other steakhouses in the Las Vegas-Henderson-Summerlin area (definitely was under seasoned). I'm not saying the steak was awful by any means, but I expect a perfectly-seasoned steak at any 3 or 4 dollar sign steakhouses. The star performers of the night were definitely the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp and Shishito Peppers. Everything else we ordered was good, which made the night very pleasant. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was very reasonable and adequate. Of noteworthy significance, my Old Fashioned was made to perfection and the overall service (from the time we entered the restaurant, to when we departed), was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant to all locals and visitors!
This is a fantastic Steakhouse I had one of the most tender filet steaks I have ever had and the Bread Basket is to die for it's some of the best breads you will ever have. The French onion soup was a tad on the salty side but quite delicious in spite of that. They have a nice wine selection here and I like that all of them are not over 60 or $70 you can actually find some that are reasonable. They have some excellent Booth seating here and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very ritzy with white tablecloths and Broad comfortable chairs.
