The brothel bits were excellent! I'm glad I got the buffalo sauce on the side for the Buffalo mac and cheese because it's a bit spicy. My husband had the burger, which he said was really good, but they kept forgetting to bring the condiments that he had asked for to go with the burger. They did look like they were pretty busy, which was surprising for a Tuesday night. But when we wanted our drinks refilled or needed something from the waitress, she was hard to find. The only thing that could have made the experience at the restaurant better would have been for them to either have more staff or smaller sections that the staff has to oversee.

Cool place!! Definitely will come again when I'm in town. The pretzel is huge, the Buffalo mac n cheese was really good too.

First time visit. First time Ruben... it was...yummy. Little lacking on The Meats,.. but the flavor was right. Fresh cut fries, nicely done. But the fried pickle chips and ranch dressing stole the show. Look forward to doing back

My husband and I were visiting town for the Gates to the Mountain boat tour and Anniversary. We were very pleasantly surprised with the beauty, peace and comfort of both the indoor and outdoor spaces from the first moment of entering the parking lot. The sommelier gave us excellent guidance on a delicious Vouvray from France. Everything was absolutely fantastic!

Best place to spend our Anniversary! Wonderful cozy restaurant with delicious food and great beverage options. Staff is highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Best service! Loved the candied bacon, Brussels, teres major and twice baked potato. This is a must try when you’re looking for a cozy, romantic dinner spot.

This was our first visit but had wanted to go forever. There were four of us and hands down the favorite dish was the seafood pasta. Bacon wrapped steak was melt in your mouth tender. Duck - I’d have preferred less Sage (don’t hold me to that as the spice but do ask if Sage isn’t your thing). Women’s bathroom is so cool - lots of old photos of cowgirls!!! So lucky to have this local treasure in Helena - if the walls could speak because I think this building was built on the late 1800’s. We believe it is best to support our local restaurants - we’re out on the national chains

Visiting from Florida, and this place was absolutely delicious! Got the steak breakfast burrito and it was fresh, hot, scrumptious and HUGE. Nice people, great prices, and homemade grub. Come try this spot! Open 7am-3pm

During a recent visit to Helena, MT, I discovered a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant that was so impressive, I returned for dinner before heading home. What stood out to me was not just the exquisite food, but the opportunity to watch and interact with the chefs as they worked their magic in the kitchen using a Brazilian grill. The menu changes frequently with the seasons, which adds to the excitement of dining here. On one visit, I tried the honey nut squash, expertly cooked over coals, and it was bursting with delightful flavor. The highlight, however, was the dry-aged bone-in ribeye steak, which melted in my mouth and showcased an incredible natural flavor. I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through or residing in Helena, MT. It's a culinary gem!

I recently dined at the Union Butcher Shop in Helena and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly to the requested temperature, and the flavors were enjoyable overall. However, for a butcher shop, I was surprised by the limited selection of steaks available. While the cooked portions of the squash were flavorful, some parts were undercooked and a bit tough. The blue potatoes had a nice texture but were a bit heavy on the salt, as was the Caesar salad, which was mostly cheese-forward. For a meal totaling over $75, I expected a more refined presentation and a steak that was tender throughout. With a few adjustments to seasoning and consistency, this place could be a standout. I appreciate the quality ingredients, but a little fine-tuning could elevate the experience for those looking for premium dining in Helena.

The bavette cut of steak I had wildly exceeded my expectations. Incredibly tender and so full of flavor. The wine sauce on the side complimented the steak beautifully. The bone marrow butter was a close second in my opinion. The sugar snap pea salad was phenomenal as well. Perfectly balanced, not too much dressing, and a great texture too. James, our server, was quick, kind, and had great knowledge of the menu and how others liked certain items. And finally, we have to talk about how incredibly well priced this place is! A salad, 2 steaks, 2 sauces, and a side with tip out the door for under $100 is incredible.

Oooo the fries and tots are SO tasty and seasoned so well! I enjoyed the unique BLT - it's not like any BLT I've ever had. The wings are very good and paired with fries could be a meal! My dinner guest enjoyed the Brazil bowl. There is some outdoor seating but the indoors was nice too. Great art on the walls.

Wonderful place located in the cute Helena downtown. They use fresh and local products, and you can tell when you try their food. The menu is small (which I personally really appreciate) and all the plates looked beyond amazing,. I recommend the Churrasco Steak Bowl: the steak was tender and with a great char, and the combination with the beans, grilled corn, greens and vinaigrette was unmatchable. Will definitely come back if I visit Helena again!

Huevos ranchers, Philly cheese steak sandwich and clam chowder. Everything was flavorful, well presented and comforting. Five stars all the way!

The bison steak was really enjoyable, and the duchess potatoes were an excellent option. You should really follow the chef's recommendation for the bison as it was cooked beautifully, and you don't want too tough of a steak. The French onion soup was also really good, and had some great flavor! Our waitress Emma was helpful with the menu and gave some excellent recommendations too! The Blue cheese and bacon was a great addition to the bison, I'd definitely recommend trying it as well.

The food was amazing and the staff was incredible. Did an evening of appetizers and dessert. The sashimi nachos were great and the crème brûlée was delicious. Thin crust and a silky smooth custard.

At least on this occasion, we had a super dining experience. We were on the patio in Summer weather, but no bugs. Baked Huckleberry Brie for an appy, a mountain of pork schnitzel in a Sherry mushroom cream sauce over noodles for the meal, and a bev or two (of course) rounded out the meal. And Jordan, our Server, was top freaking notch! Good meal!

Great breakfast, as always. Burger patty, eggs over easy, cottage cheese & tomatoes, and a side sausage. Wife had the chicken fried steak, cooked to perfection. Great place for breakfast!!

The gravy had the taste of something you'd expect from a typical food supply company. The fried chicken, however, was crispy and packed with flavor. The hash browns were tasty, though I had hoped for them to be extra crispy as I’d requested. I also ordered a breakfast burrito to go, and when I ate it the next morning, it was still delicious. My waiter, Jonathan, was fantastic. He brought me a large glass of soda, knowing I was thirsty, and his friendly personality made my dining experience truly enjoyable.

Family atmosphere, great for get-together with friends & co-workers. Indoor dining. Amazing selection of entre. The steaks & bison burgers were amazing. They serve coffee generously with a whole thermos each table. The pumpkin cream is good.

Traveling thru Helena & wanted Italian food. We used the app to make RSVP. We chose to be seated inside but wish we would have taken advantage of the patio area for dining because the weather was perfect. Mariia was great as our Server. Food was prepared like a true Italian restaurant, pasta, meatballs & desserts all made fresh in-house daily.

Wow! This please is amazing, the food the staff and the atmosphere are all 10/10. We had the veal and pappardelle with wagyu meat and it is honestly the best meal we have had in the states yet! The chefs are incredible. We arrived late at 9pm and still received amazing service and didn’t feel rushed in anyway. A special thank you to our waiter Liam who was welcoming, funny and a great guy. Highly recommend and might even come again tomorrow!

What an outrageous find!!! The owners are from Italy and make authentic dishes with unmatched flavor! My only piece of critical feedback would be the length of the service which was roughly 2.5 hours. Still, best 2.5 hours I’ve spent at a restaurant in years!!! The appetizer we got was my least favorite, only because I’m used to larger portions, no fault to the restaurant. Delicious regardless. We ordered the lasagna, the gnocchi, and the veal. All 3 were incredible. The gnocchi was by far the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life. The cream sauce was out of this world. I was scooping up every morsel of cream on my fork and spoon. I would have kicked the plate clean if it wasn’t so busy and people would be staring at me. The lasagna was at least ten fluffy layers of velvety smooth pasta, cheese, and sauce. Some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The veal was unfortunately over salted, but still quite good. The dessert was also a great way to conclude an epic meal!

At 6:30pm on a Friday, the wait was just shy of one hour. They don’t do reservations, but it’s worth going, even for the wait. You can sit on the bar side (at the bar or at tables on that side) and have drinks while waiting. We had no problem getting seats at the bar and you can order full menu sitting at the bar (eat dinner without waiting). The tables on the bar side are like a restaurant…open seating and lots of tables and booths, but you can’t order a meal there (you can get appetizers). The food was excellent, the chef cooked my medium rare tenderloin perfectly. Crust on stake had a nice mix of texture, crisp/tender/juicy. The best part of my experience was the bar. The bartender was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. There were several guys behind the bar so everyone had attention. I had an Old Fashioned and it was probably the best one I ever had (asked bar tender and used a rye whiskey that he recommended). Atmosphere was excellent, but a bit loud. Downstairs is a lot louder than upstairs… if you’re having a more romantic dinner, go upstairs. If you’re just hanging with the guys/gals, downstairs is more exciting.

Great restaurant! It felt upscale and approachable at the same time. Well thought out food. Everything from our appetizer and salads to our desserts were perfectly executed. Make sure to all your server for recommendations. The staff is very knowledgeable.

Nice restaurant serving Italian and American food. I went for the house salad with a rare steak, and it was beautiful. One of the best steaks I ever had, honestly. Service is good, and clearly a popular place, it was busy early in the week, with regulars propping up the bar on the other end of the restaurant. They do need to turn their sign on, though, because the entrance is difficult to find!

My girlfriend is a sucker for a burger… but not just any burger. She absolutely loved this one and so did I. We waited a little bit I was perfectly fine with that. One person running the grill and absolutely killing it and one running the counter. We will for sure be back. Got a double burger, potatoes, ranch & burger sauce. Thanks for the amazing experience and even better food.

Wow! We’ll be back. These burgers are great and the beef fried potatoes exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere could be improved. There’s limited seating, shared with the bar, which means on a weekend night, you might be outta luck.

We had the pleasure of meeting up and connecting with the founder of Old Salt Coop, Cole Mannix while enjoying our smashed cheeseburgers and beef fat fried potatoes. The burger was incredibly delicious and reminiscent of burgers I ate as a kid from a not quality fast-food joint. What Old Salt Coop is doing for their community and ranchers is amazing! Keep it up and keep supporting local!

Starters: Soup- it wasn’t fishy at all, it had swordfish, shrimp, and something else. It was good. Side salad- it was good, tasted fresh. Hummus- it is house made but it was too lemony, wasn’t that great. Grape leaves- it was alright, it was different for sure. The pasta was alright, nothing was unique about it, I wouldn’t get it again. I don’t really recommend anything here.

Great place to eat and atmosphere is also wonderful. Ordered the salmon amaretti and shish kebabs. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection! Portions are good size. Our server, Rachel, was great. There is nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Can sit inside or outside.

I missed the photo op here the first time. The atmosphere and quality of the meal was top notch. The service was a bit slower than I would have liked at a not too busy time. Definitely not to the point of frustration, and if I had not been on a timeline I would not have minded as much. Lunchtime is typically a bit more time sensitive than dinner and that was not reflected. I will be back to enjoy some time and cuisine. Second visit I had the wrapped grape leaves. They were the sweetest I have had. I t was interesting to have them so sweet. For dessert I had the Crème brûlée cheesecake. Supurb! I was so into it I forgot a photo again.

The menu says it's the best lasagna you've ever had and it pretty much lives up to it. The compound butter and bread were very good. The house salad was excellent. The tiramisu was incredible. Only possible critique I could give is it looked like a generic Italian restaurant and the bread knife could be a lot sharper.

What an amazing dining experience! Shelly was so attentive and made great suggestions for both of our dinners and wine! The Fisherman’s Spaghetti was over the top with seafood and the Shrimp fra diavolo was just as good. Highly recommend Lucca’s for amazing Italian while you are in Helena!

Brewhouse is certainly an interesting place to dine on a pleasant evening, as the food profoundly outperforms the service required to procure it accordingly. Being completely candid, I am amazed at the sheer grandiosity of the atmosphere and enjoyed meandering through the upstairs and downstairs areas — even observing a casino and bar nook — that contributed to enjoying the actual setting in which my meal was being prepared and served at. In regards to the actual experience of ordering, waiting, and eating the food, there are vastly different paradigms; the wait time was one of the longest I have witnessed in quite some time. For actual time intervals, there was a 15 minute period before ordering and a 60-70 minute waiting period for the food (which had to be re-served). I ordered the regular cheese pizza and requested extra sauce, which was initially served as a pepperoni pizza before being graciously redone. The server was quite kind and respectful throughout the entire visit, in addition to the other staff that I briefly conversed with. Overall, the food is definitely worth your time! This is one restaurant that is not for a “quick dive” — be wary of your time if you seek to dine-in. Mixed satisfaction, albeit a fairly nice visit overall!

A comfortable bar and restaurant where you make instant friends. There are great happy hours, many beer choices and the bartenders are excellent mixologists. The hamburger was average, but the tater tots were first rate.

2024 review I love being proved wrong and this place has been consistent and tasty after this first initial review below. the sandwiches and their Maui fries are chefs kiss when they are fresh. This place does struggle with groups larger than 4, but if you are a group of 4 it doesn’t take long to get your food and your food will be tasty. Unfortunately their burgers are still a bit dry, we’ve had them 3 times now and they seem to like to make them well done. I like their pastrami and rye, their chicken wrap and others. Also this place has Jo jo (wedge) fries. 2023 review It tasted good and the service was amazing. It just took a really long time to get food. I’d plan for being here 45 min. There is a casino in here as well as an upstairs and downstairs. My burger was a bit dry unfortunately too.

We’ve gone here multiple times at this point and whenever people visit we recommend this place. The staff is kind, the food is wonderful and the flavors are montana and pure. A wonderful farm to table style restaurant. I love the beef stroganoff, the focaccia and others. There’s something for everyone here. Come here for a date night, a family get together or some many other fun reasons. This place is one of our top “fancy” resteraunt in Helena.

We stumbled on to this absolute gem 1 block from central downtown Helena. As we walked in, a pianist was playing on a baby grand piano. This set the mood for an intimate dining experience. We were warmly greeted by wonderful staff and received attentive service by Tizer. Thank you Tizer for making our time at Benny’s so special. We enjoyed a Duck Bruschetta appetizer, Beet Salads, Wild Mushroom Fettuccini, Wild Sockeye Salmon, and the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Raspberry Coulis. The farm to table freshness, flavor, and variety of meal options was such a treat and the best meal we have had on our trip this far. We will definitely make a trip back to Helena specifically to visit Benny’s Bistro. Thank you to the owners, Chef, and entire staff. Bravo!

For gastronomic reasons I only had the tomato basil soup. But wow, if this simple dish can be created to be this much of a masterpiece, I look forward to returning for a full meal. The staff is polite, prompt and engaging. I highly recommend this small walk just off of Last Chance Gulch.

Excellent service! Very good food, nice atmosphere! I will definitely be coming back here to try some other items! I had the California burrito with shredded chicken but I got into eating it before I took a picture. IT was very good. Sophie told me that this chicken soup that they have is excellent! The waiter walked by me with an order of the soup and it smelled delicious so I will definitely take Sophie's advice in the future.

I visited the taco truck in Birmingham today. The guys were incredibly friendly and attentive. I received my tacos and was on my way in under five minutes. The ingredients were the absolute freshest, the taste was amazing, I am full and feel refreshed! Thank you so much for the great service!

We went as a party of 9 around 430pm. We were seated immediately! Salsa and chips were good to hold us over while we waited for food! The steak tacos and plate were yummy. I also had a pina colada but it needed just a little more flavor overall great experience .

Just happened in on a birthday party for one of the bartenders and Audio Envy was the entertainment for the evening! The staff were great from the doorman to the bartenders! Beer was ice cold, shots were tasty, sorry, no food for me this evening. It was refreshing to encounter patrons as nice as the staff! Also, I'd like to add that I really appreciated the parking, well lit and plenty of it!

Hats off for finally getting a good karaoke person! She’s cool as hell and easy on the eyes if I may say so!! I use to go a lot but the lady who did the karaoke back then was awful!! Just plain rude!! Would kill a good buzz in a heartbeat! So now that she’s been replaced by someone who actually makes it fun I’ll definitely start going again!!

Stopped by to have a beer. Owner was nice . Was on my Harley and she told me that it was illegal to ride without a helmet.. had some good food. Bartender and people were nice and courteous.

The drinks here are good and the employees are great! The only thing I didn’t like was it seemed like they needed more than one bar tender. The music was also great! Great atmosphere. Great location! The historic building it is in is also very pretty.

Big area downstairs. The band is upstairs in the loft. Excellent steak house next door btw.

This might be one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to eat at. My hubby had the steak and I had the salmon and I can honestly say everything was positively divine! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was fun! 10/10 I will bring every out of town guest I have here.

The Steakhouse of Helena was pretty much a disappointment for us. We really wanted it to become one of our go-to steak houses but it just didn’t happen. The parking is absolutely nonexistent. You can park behind the restaurant along the side of the street your other option is parking at nearby businesses. As for the service, we didn’t wait long to be seated but we waited forever for our food. When we finally did, we were not happy! The steaks we ordered well done actually ended up rare and the steaks we ordered medium-well ended up well done. I was not real excited with my steak portion size either! I ordered the daily special which included shrimp and steak. The special came with five shrimp which was OK but my steak was well undersized. It was supposed to be a 6oz or 8oz steak and come out about the size of my dinner roll. We did read some good reviews and we decided to eat at The Steakhouse of Helena and I’m sure its much better than what we got on our visit. But, on this visit, we didn’t get what we expected by a long shot! We’ll be back at some point and hopefully this steakhouse will become one of our go-to restaurants!

This place is a gem! I wanted a good steak and I definitely got it! The filet was cooked to perfection. The service was great. Jay was our server and he was awesome. All the food was on point. We had several drinks and enjoyed them all. The adult lemonade was my favorite. I will be back, epecially for a good steak!

Went for a late lunch and was blown away! The food is made fresh - no food sitting on the counter. So it takes a minute to come out but when it does it’s so freaking delicious! I got the Cheesy Chicken with tots and loved every bite! 5/5 One of the best local places around!!

Loved going here when I lived in Shelby County. But things change and I moved to north Alabama. I was in the area on business this day and wanted to go back here. I had the cheese fries which was cold and in the light section when I got there they were cold and the cheese was cold with a weird taste probably from being cold I had the Philly cheese steak for my sandwich it was good the tea was good as well. The lady who brought the food out was very nice and it helped me to just eat what I had and not complain because I was in a hurry to get back north. I'll go back again but I'll ask for fresh fries and hot cheese because it really is still a great place to experience.

Extremely fast service for everything, drinks, food, and even our dessert that we got after we were given our bill. The prices are great and they have great chips with great salsa. They bring a good homemade tomato-based salsa with slight spice, a verde salsa with a lime base, and a bean dip to your table before you even order. The only problem we had was I ordered a top shelf frozen margarita and it came on the rocks instead of frozen, but everything else was extremely fast and tasted amazing. We even got an extra bowl of bean dip with extra chips at no additional charge. We will definitely be back within the next two weeks.

I have dined at El Patron twice now in the past 3 months. The service is extremely fast. They are more authentic than your average TexMex/ SouthEastern Mexican restaurant. First off, they bring you out THREE complimentary dips for your chips: a Red Salsa, a Salsa Verde (green salsa), and a black refried bean dip with cheese sauce in it. That alone gives this place tons of “brownie points”, because I prefer salsa Verde over red salsa. Secondly, they offer Piña Coladas, Jarritos (multiple flavors), and aquas frescas— I thought this was impressive as well. My first visit here they offered me “grilled jalapeños” when I asked for jalapeños—- they were spicy and delicious! (Not pictured). I ordered the carnitas meal, and a chili relleno ( I judge a Mexican restaurant’s quality by their chili rellenos… they definitely passed my test!) not only do they offer ground beef filled, but also SHRIMP filled chile rellenos — soooo yummy. I had so much food it didn’t even look like I had eaten anything and had tons to take home with me During my recent visit, I ordered a steak fajita salad. It. Was. So. Good! The steak was juicy and all the vegetables were good too. I asked for a side of queso and jalapeños. The total for my meal (plus extras), the complimentary dips, and nachos ended up being less than $12. Quite a steal for the amount of food I had! Great portion sizes. I will definitely be seeing them regularly and trying other menu items

Always a good experience at ElPatron! Food is great, served well, fresh and plentiful! They move fast so you don't have to wait and the servers are always pleasant. My kids fight over their bean dip and often we get chips so fresh they are still warm! I'm a huge fan of their chicken tostada, enchiladas, chimichanga, etc.
