Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Hastings – 2024

First visit today was a good one. Let me start by saying the ONLY reason I didn't give service a 5 was the long wait. The rest of this os positive. It's not often a breakfast place gets "over medium" eggs right but they nailed it. Senior menu for 55+ is appreciated!! The staff was professional. We were told at the door the wait for food would be about 45 minutes. It was closer to an hour. The food was really good and prices were right. Our coffee was topped off frequently while we waited, and during that time at least 3 employees checked on us. I love it when I see employees cleaning rather than standing around! They are doing things right! Give them a chance but bring your patience with you.

It was delicious. I had the chicken fried steak dinner with a banana cream pie for dessert to go. Great job guys!

First time to the restaurant. Ordered to go. Nice place, very friendly staff. The food was fantastic! I highly recommend the half pound cheeseburger. We will most certainly be return customers. I was very impressed with the staff, so kind and welcoming.

Food was pretty good, the burger was cooked well and my only complaint was not enough sauce on it. The wings were also tasty, but not sauced enough. Our server was very nice, but we did have to wait a bit to get any service and food. The atmosphere is very fun with lots of tvs around.

It was seat yourself. Never even got menu's. Sat there for 15 minutes while three waitresses sat behind the bar doing much of nothing. Another group came in ten minutes after us and were waited on right away. Would say that they missed us but had a waiter at the table right next to us and a waitress walk by a couple of times. Didn't seem like they were extra busy. It was enough for us to walk out. The menu online seemed great. Disappointed we didn't get to try it.

Food was mediocre. Table was dirty. Went to the restroom and there was water all over the floor (like toilet overflow water, not a little splash from a sink water), with a "Caution" sign. I mentioned it to a server bc there was enough slop on the floor that I didn't use it. We watched for someone to tend to it but it never happened while we were there. Wasn't a busy day.. just lazy staff. Unimpressed.

I work at Chrises across from them always get the food always great food and nice people.

I have always had fast and excellent service. I love their breakfast pockets. They are fresh and delicious. I would recommend giving this place a try. Their breakfast pockets are 100 times better than other fast food places.

I ordered shrimp pasta and portion was good. Taste was delicious however very few shrimps were there in the food.. I feel it is expensive for the portion they serve. Atmosphere was great and it seems this is only high end restaurant in Hastings. Waiter messed up with our order and I have to wait little bit longer to get the correct ordered food.

Took my Bestie here for her birthday day. The food was amazing, service was topnotch and wine list extensive. 5 stars..would recomend! Make sure to make a reservation!

I gave it 4 stars because it's in a small town; in a big city, I would probably give it 3 stars. We were here for our daughter's softball tournament and were looking for a place for dinner before heading home. The food was good, but I feel like Japanese restaurants always do an excellent job with their presentation on the plates, even though the price wasn't cheap. I love Japanese food and have been to many Japanese restaurants. I ordered the Sashimi deluxe, and I was surprised by how it was served.

I ordered the Japanese gyoza, spicy tuna roll and the onions soup. The gyoza were fried, which was ok but I would preferred steamed but I’m not sure if that was an option. The spicy tuna roll came with panko breadcrumbs on the top. I’ve never seen that on a roll before and it made it very dry. It wasn’t wrapped tight so when I picked up the pieces it fell apart. It was $11.99 for the roll which is very reasonable but I wouldn’t order it again. I don’t recommend the onion soup, basically a beef broth with onion flakes. Our server was new and was trying but was very green. He as personable and nice. The soup was the last item to come out and the appetizers came out with the food. Would I go back, not likely.

Nice restaurant in a strip mall/building. We were there before the dinner rush which allowed us to spend a decent amount of time here to enjoy our food. My guest and I ordered a large amount of food for our enjoyment and taste. I got the party tray B and substituted the two California rolls for the Superman which was a superb roll. The women's restroom was well lit and clean and satisfactory for my guests. The dining area was large and could accommodate a number of tables and people. The lighting was on the medium to low scale of brightness. The decor was typical for a restaurant like this. The facility was clean and appeared to be a good maintenance order. The plates and silverware were stylish clean and appear to be in new condition. The food was exceptionally well and appeared to be fresh. The shrimp tempura was excellent. The onion rings were extremely good and came with sweet chili sauce which was a plus from other establishments. I surely enjoyed the party tray as it filled me up and gave me quite a good variety of cooked and raw sushi.

Not only is the food wonderful, the owner is also incredibly down to earth and you can tell he loves what he does. That alone deserves your business! One of our motorcycles died in the parking lot, and he immediately came to the rescue and jumped it with his truck. The pita bread was crisped perfectly on the outside and the meat, both the Philly steak and chicken, tasted great. Generous portions at 10-13$ per Gyro. Toppings were very fresh. We're going to make it a point to drive out to Hastings more often just to eat here.

I worked here in highschool and the only difference was the side of the room it was on— Quality was there! Did the owner proud with these, I’m sure. However the cheese was missing on the Philly so my fiancé, who I coerced into coming here, was a little disappointed - but my gyro was a blast to the past, 10+ years ago I moved away and I haven’t found one that comes close. Nick’s does it best!

We had a great experience here. We ordered the CCBR(chicken, cheese, bacon, ranch), Gouda balls/cheese curds. The food was amazing. The service was good. We will be back! Food was absolutely delicious. This is one of Hastings hidden gems. You have to check it out.

Murphy’s is a bar and grill housed in a historic building in downtown Hastings, Nebraska. They serve burgers, sandwiches and a few other items along with beer. Service is fast and friendly. Reuben sandwiches are tasty.

The waitress was great the manager must be new to the business. Bad seafood (should have known) but either way, the food was sent back after one popcorn shrimp and the manger was stupid enough to not offer any kind of discount or take the full price of the order off the ticket. Thank goodness…wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. Good luck if take a chance of this place.

Service was great — however after trying this place out for the first time, we won’t be returning due to the way the owner decided the handle what would have been a small issue. We ordered popcorn shrimp entree that had a repugnant/bad fish taste. I don’t want to assume it was rotten, but I did end up throwing up when I got home as it did not sit well. I only ate one. It happens, I’ve worked in restaurants and it won’t be the last time, not great, but no big deal. The server was nice and we appreciated her help, however she was unable to take off the bad item, as the owner was on site and said the entree would stay on the bill. The owner also said nothing was wrong with the dish, which I’m not sure how to respond to? “Oh sorry, my mistake, I’ll eat the bad food now?” It was actually sent back to our table with the poor server reluctantly handing it back to us. Over $13 dollars, I will be requesting a dispute for this item due to how this was handled by the owner. ‍♀️ This should have been a nothing issue, and we were sorry to cause an inconvenience for the kitchen and server in the first place, but really? Everything else was OK/fine, why was $13 bad shrimp such a dealbreaker? A table of 6 that spent 300+. The owner and his reaction just soured our whole visit. A dispute will unfortunately cost more than $13 shrimp. PSA they charge a 4% credit card usage fee, when the going rate is typically 3% tacked onto the bill.

A great value on Wings and Loaded Nachos, battered Shrimp, Cauliflower, Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Fried Steak, a wide variety of hot, freshly made to order, juicy Burgers, and much more served daily for Lunch and/or Dinner. (Average price for Beer) To reserve a pool table with family and friends for an hour is only 6 bucks ($1 average for 10 minutes). Plenty to do with tons of Pool Tables and some Dart Games, KENO and even some Gambling Machines. Lots of Televisions with a large variety of free... Live Sports, Entertainment, and Music! Great Atmosphere! Come as you are.

An interesting atmosphere with a broad menu. A lot of their food options looked interesting and good, but I wanted to go on the lighter side and opted for a grilled chicken sandwich. You have to build your own so I opted for mushrooms, onions, and swiss cheese. The onions were forgotten, the mushrooms were minimal at maybe half of a mushroom sliced, and rhe cheese was fine. I also had to pay to add the side of Buffalo sauce, which is fine. Paying for each topping individually I would have liked it to be so skimpy. The service was OK. It was on the semi-busier side. I had asked for a few more minutes to decide what I wanted but our server had taken a really long time to come back, and once our food was brought out didn't come back for a long time to ask how things were. It was an ok experience. Would come back on our next stop out to try something else.

Great place for lunch. Food was tasty and the service friendly and fast. A lot to f variety on the menu.

Even with a crowded parking lot and mostly full tables, we were still able to get a table right away, and be heard as we conversed across the table. Nice! Atmosphere was great. Our waitress was attentive but not bothersome. There were so many staff people around the restaurant, and everyone was moving at top speed.

I ordered shrimp chimichanga and within 5 minutes received my order. Received kind of shrimp taco salad along with that. Taste was ok and too much salty compared to other Mexican food. I don’t think I will come again here.. Service was super fast and atmosphere was good however most important is taste and it was missing

Delicious authentic food and deserts. New look with updated mixed american and mexican style. And yet the food is 100% authentic mexican. I ordered steak tacos with rice and beans. All items yummy and cooked to perfectly. All five star service.

I tried Arizona Diamondback taco salad and it was big and taste was good. This is the first time I see sour cream like ketchup packet which was weird. However taste was good and I definitely come again and try other items in the menu. Another weird stuff was TV shows.. Divorce court and QBC on afternoon? On bar restaurant?

Had lunch at Bullseye’s with my boss and coworker. The place was oddly dark for the middle of the day—makes you wonder what they’re hiding. I got the hot beef sandwich special. It was alright, but way too heavy on the beef. Could’ve used another 2 or 3 slices of bread to even it out.”

Under new ownership which means there is going to be a adjustment in the operation of how's it ran. Family and I went for Sunday breakfast buffet wasn't bad but didn't seem the same 4 stars for now. I update on progress over time. (A little bit of history my Great grandfather built that building that is located in. And it use to be called RJ &Sandy's Bar and Grill)

Traveling and staying at the Holiday Inn, walked over since it was close and looked nice. Great atmosphere...upscale but not pretentious whatsoever. Super nice staff, and the salmon was out of this world (kudos to the waitress for making the recommendation). Fair prices. If I come to Hastings again, I'll definitely return! Oh, and the to go cups have the strawless lids which is a small detail, but I love those.

Schnitzel was ok but spaetzle were nowhere close to what they are supposed to be. I wouldn't mind paying 20$ for the meal if it were like original but this is not it. Not worth 20$. Spetzle were greasy like they were deep fried. Soup was ok. People working there were great.

The food was very delicious and the service was great! Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. My husband ordered the breakfast burger and said it was one of the best burgers he has had. I ordered the turkey brie wrap and that was also very good! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped by on my way through, didn't get to eat because the place is under a huge remodel! I did however get a chance to talk talk to the GM Steven and I tell you what, what an awesome guy!! He said there adding more menu items, more drunk selections and so much more. They hope to open end of October. Can't wait to see it finished I will be back!!

1st time here. Very good burgers and huge. Charbroil deliciousness. They were very busy but our server Amanda did an awesome job!!! Highly recommend

A nice hopping place to eat! I stopped by for dinner one night and then lunch the next day. The grill is a small, well oiled machine, cranking out consistently good food. I tried the char cheeseburger and the chicken breast sandwiches. The staff was laidback and friendly during the busiest times of the day. Quiet enough to chat with some locals. Peaceful, family atmosphere. Good value and good food. For burgers and chips or steaks and baked, you won't get "burned" eating here.

We special ordered a Lemon Raspberry cake and it was so fresh and amazing, my kids said the frosting tasted like cheesecake, we all loved it and will be back.

Absolutely divine baked goods; bread, cinnamon rolls, cake, bars . . . Breakfast and lunch are creative and delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. I enjoy the friendly, warm atmosphere. It's a pleasure dining at a local establishment in Hastings

Fun atmosphere! Good food! Attentive service. I would highly recommend grabbing a loaf or two of bread to go! The cinnamon rolls were outstanding! I wish every town supported small businesses the way that this city does!
