Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Grand-Sault – 2024

Stopped by while driving through the province for supper and was pleasantly surprised. Epic meal. The best decision we made and possibly the best road trip meal I've ever had. I had the french onion soup to start and a ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes. Both were exceptional and would order them both again. Can't wait to visit again whenever I pass by Grand falls. Must stop here! Great beer on tap. I discussed with my friend that this would be an ideal place to stop when out on an ATV or snowmobile as well.

Would not recommend! I work with the public and told people I was going here. When asked about my visit, I shared the truth! We booked a reservation for 4pm, asked for a seat with a view and marked it as a special occasion. Upon arriving 5-10 minutes ahead of time. As we went to head inside, the lady(cook) sitting outside with co-worker was abrupt telling us that they weren’t open yet! I said okay, we’ll just sit on the patio and let us know when we could come in. We sat and waited until another couple had arrived and walked inside, we followed. All the workers seemed to having a great time. We let a young lady know we had a reservation, she showed us to our seats near the bar (no view) I told her we had reserved a seat with a view. She showed us another table and seated us. The table was dirty from the day before! She apologized and brought some cleaner. We asked about a drink, she told us….i’m not your waitress. Then the best part of the entire visit was our waitress Tanya! The French onion soup was salty and had onion skins which wasn’t a pleasant experience. The steak was overcooked, tough, no flavour and dry. No seasoning on steak or mushrooms. The loaded potato was topped with wilted green onion, the mushrooms were black and shrivelled not looking fresh! The waitress insisted on making the plate right (I never send things back to the kitchen) and took both back to the kitchen. The next plates came out, the loaded potato had no onion, steak was cooked as requested but tough and fatty, mushrooms were the same and the worst part was it had hair on the plate, yes hair!!! Not at anytime did anyone mention the special occasion so not sure what the point is in asking on the reservation pricey for the bland quality of food. I don’t see this place being successful. As you can see, plating is not consistent. A huge disappointment! Will not be recommending! P.S the executive chef advertised, is NOT the chef there.

Very nice place. A bit of a combo sports bar/steak house. Had the lunch menu watch all the activity on the river from the lower deck.

Beautiful place to eat! A hidden gem in grand falls, super friendly service with amazing food and at a reasonable price.

We had the yellow curry chicken and red curry chicken dish. Both were tasty dishes, however I am used to the curry being a little more creamy and more curry for rice, which made it a bit dry. Still it was flavorful and spices (heat) is catered to one's liking. Service was great. Not a lot on the menu to choose from. All in all, we had a great time and will go back to try other items on the menu.

Friendly and professional service, generous portions and delicious food which was reasonably priced. It set us up perfectly for a short family hike afterwards. We hope to come back again when in the area of Grand Falls. Merci beaucoup!

We found Jack Fries through a quick Google search and decided to give it a try based on the positive recommendations. Our group of 12 easily found seating upon arrival, which was a pleasant surprise. The menu was straightforward, though it would have been helpful to have a detailed description of the ingredients in Jack's Poutine. My husband ordered the crispy chicken poutine but regretted not choosing Jack's Poutine after discovering it included beef and green peppers—both of which were delicious! The restaurant's display of old antiques added a unique charm to the atmosphere. Additionally, the eating area and amenities were clean, and we appreciated the convenient parking right outside.

Enjoyed a quick lunch at this spot. I gave 4/5 as it was very good. I had the chicken Caesar wrap but there was very little chicken. For the price paid it was still a good value. The Philly cheese steak wrap had a lot of meat. Finally the burger was very tasty, cooked right, and the fries were perfect. The prices are excellent . The decor of old Grand Falls and all the antiques were a pleasant surprise! Young lady was extremely friendly and kind.

Food is amazing and very good price. Poutine is 10/10 so is the Jack burger. The only negative is that there is no menu online and the atmosphere is quite rushed so you’re trying to view the menu with many people coming in behind you who always seem to know what they want! I’ll try and save some of you the stress and share a photo of the menu here from May 2024!

Michelle is an amazing server, service in general is great by others as well, and food is very delicious. Great variety and local beer on tap, from grands falls and 2 or 3 others. In addition, they offer a variety of canned drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, and wine. I have been a few times and hope to continue going. It has a worthy view of the falls, a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, and have good food. Very pretty decor and atmosphere.

We had a veggie omelette and the breakfast poutine. Loved that they had blueberry jam. Food was great good size and great prices. Service was fast and pleasant. View is beautiful

Visited on the way back to Toronto from PEI. Clean and pretty restaurant with a view of the hydroelectric dam. All food in large portions. Good price. Excellent service. Workers seem to know their regulars and locals. Friendly Environment. Bilingual.

We came back here in order to eat at a nearby place which turned out was close at 2pm (most of the places are closed in this town!!!!) and decided to eat here. The lovely tiny girl behind the counter was very friendly and polite and helped me chose a pizza, which was great, and thick as they advertised, however I should have mentioned to her not to put much tomato sauce which really makes me sick. Because of this I had to chose what bits to eat but due to the pizza being so big, there was no problem The rest of my party was happy with their choices, so I guess this is a great place when not many people are around. I was so full though, I could not even get the blueberry yoghurt icecream she let me taste earlier on. People like her make a place amazing.

We stopped in for lunch to go. We ordered a donair and 2 meat slices. Everything was very good. In particular, the donair meat was quite savory. The pizza sauce is sweet, but that is very common in the Maratimes. I have no problem recommending this place. Very clean and the staff was good.

Passing thru grand falls. Order medium meat lovers and honey garlic wings. Food was very good. Pizza was so loaded that toppings were pouring off it. Order delivery was told 30 mins food was here before that. Solid place to eat!!!! may have to add another review ran outta stars to give!

Food was amazingly good. Teriyaki chicken breast and Deluxe Burger were spot on. Very tasty fries and well marinated wings which you should not miss. They are all prepared homemade with love. Needless to say, their service is top notch.

I have to admit this was not my favourite meal in Grand Falls. Although the portion was big, a lot of the fried clams were hard and overcooked. The rice was good but the corn and peas combination was sub par.

Great food honest prices, fast friendly service...

Love it, food is delicious, drinks are great, and service is on point. Recommend if you're driving by Grand Falls or a local. Food from 4 pm to 9 pm and drinks to 2am.

Make sure you ask for the authentic Indian menu. BY FAR the best you can get locally. Definitely worth going

This was a lucky find on a Sunday. Friendly staff, good food and good drinks. Had chicken brochettes and bam bam shrimp and both were delicious. Would definitely stop by here again if in the area. Doesn’t look like much on the exterior and basic on the interior but a nice stop!

Good pizza! And poutine was on point, better than most in Quebec. The restaurant was clean from what I could see at the entrance. Food didn't take long at all. And the falls are a 2 second walk away.

We stopped in for a quick bite, table with a view of the gorge was lovely! Service was good, pizza (The Works) was piping hot and full of toppings! It also had flavour which I find is lacking these days with all the chain pizza places! The prices are good to, Well done Pizza Boy!!

We loved our table with a view of the gorge, we loved the many options on the menu, we loved the friendly staff, we loved the happy vibes coming from the kitchen. Perfect as is!

Delicious food! And the serving size is incredible! Sweet staff. Super kind and knowledgeable. Definitely will be eating here again!

Ordered some take away from here today for dinner. Two orders of the #4 combo (egg roll, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, lemon chicken and garlic spare ribs). I wanted fried noodles so I asked to make sure that’s what chow mein was (google said it was, it was not) the host was very sweet and explained to me I wanted lo mein instead so I subbed our chow mein for lo mein. I got the food in about 15 minutes, cooked fresh and hot and the portion for the cost was amazing, enough food to feed 2 people in one combo. I will definitely order from here again, it is a shame they don’t have buffet anymore but still worth the money to get some take out or dine in. Restaurant was clean and quiet, would dine in sometime for sure.

It was a quiet day. The buffet was not available. Ordered from the menu. The restaurant was clean and serviceable. The food was good. Not overly oily and a nice distinctive flavor.

The pizza was good. One of the best I have had. Service was great. Server was helpful. She suggested us the best vegetarian pizza we could try. And it was yumm. I don’t have her name but she was indian lady. Thanks for the best food.

Good food, nice service. On a weekend expect to wait a while, though. There was also no soap in the men's bathroom at the time of this review.

Worst experience ever! Took way to long to get our food and when it arrived the pizza had what we requested not to have on it. Our garlic fingers took another 10-15 minutes to arrive after the pizza went back. Never got a refill on our drinks.

The absolute worst curried beef and Cantonese chowmein The curried beef was red not yellow and the taste was not curry. The Cantonese chowmein noodles were extremely soggy, broken Mr. Noodles not the good quality noodles expected. Had it not been takeout the food would have been returned fir a refund.

Sister took me out for my birthday May 1,2024 and she found hair in her food. Not one but two!!! When she talked to the manager she said oh that must be Canadian hair not Chinese as rhey wear hair net in kitchen. No appology no coupons just total rudeness. I would never go there again. The food was tasty however to be treated the way my sister was is 100% wrong.

We live 20 mins from here. We have always been greeted nicely . We also go with the kids. Also good food and good service

At first it was disappointed when we got to Linda's restaurant I had seen on a menu online that they had chicken stir-fry and when I got there I expected to be able to order it. The menu changes on a daily basis. She makes several different things that you can choose from I ended up having the corn chowder it was excellent Mike had lasagna and my niece Robin had the seafood lasagna. They both enjoyed their meals. I was so impressed by this place super super clean we all loved it.

Amazing staff. Super nice and the food…. We got a few deserts to try. All of it was delicious! Would 100% recommend

My 2nd time going there and the food is great! Everything is homemade, i recommend anyone to go try that place and affordable too!

Best BBQ sauce. It’s amazing on any type of poutine! Yummy. Good mix of sweet and salty! :)

Sandy poutine was mighty fine, seafood platter was great too. Just a little too fishy for their clams and scallops; they might've need to make a fresher batch next time. Will also recommend their sandy burger since their poutine is based of that!

A great place to eat! Lovely people to greet you when you walk in to taking your order. The food is pretty good, offering a classic canteen taste.
