Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Flower Mound – 2024

Tried Verf's Grill and Tavern for the first time. Walking in was greeting very quickly and seated. Nice setup with a large bar. Lots of TVs for viewing. Had sports and news on which i liked for the lunch tine. Menu seems to have lots of choices. I went with the fish and chips. When served, the fish was perfectly cooked, super crispy outside, and hot, fresh Cod on the inside. The fries were spectacular. Super crispy outside just the way you want them. Everything was really good. The portion size was great, people suoer nice. It's just a great little spot to eat lunch. Was also served with hushpuppies that were delicious as well. Oh, and if I didn't say the fries, may be the best in town. I'll be back, and next time, I'm bringing the family for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed.

Great restaurant in Flower Mound! Didn’t take too many pics here but I got the important ones. I ordered the pecan avocado chicken and added bacon shrimp. It was soooo good. The potatoes, asparagus, all of it. Chefs kiss! The place was clean, had a big bar, and great staff. And they had pineapple ace! You can’t go wrong here. Can’t wait to come back!

The zesty baja shrimp salad was fresh and had good flavor. The grilled cheese burger had alot of meat, but the dipping sauce was a bit bland. The fries were okay not my favorite. Would recommend and will go back to try something else.

Delightful! The beef wellington was good. The horseradish mashed potatoes and cream corn brulee were good, too. They offer happy hour until 6 pm, check website for details. We got a bottle of wine half off, appetizer discounted, and espresso martini ari happy hour prices. The dessert sampler was good. Carrot cake was huge. The dessert was expensive at $22, but it is HUGE! Service and atmosphere was nice. Taylor was our waitress, and Eric came around to welcome us and make sure everything was well.

We had a fabulous brunch on the patio at Tycoon today! I would highly recommend the deviled eggs. The service was impeccable and our server fun and informative!!

We had a spectacular time seeing the live entertainment last night! The host was kind/welcoming and our servers were very attentive. We had the “Tycoon experience” deal with the miso sea bass, highly recommend! We also tried the espresso martini cake for dessert and WOW! Delish! Yummy cocktails, high energy staff, and great atmosphere!

Great lunch and brunch options. Two of us had an ahi tuna salad, a patty melt, and we shared a "Scottish egg". Lots of seating and plenty of TVs to watch your favorite seasonal sports.

Tavern is one of the best restaurants and bars to enjoy your time at Lakeside. I have visited the place very first time and loved the place. We seated outside, then moved to BAR TOP and enjoyed our beers beer and snacks. They have great sitting at the bar, they have a dining room also they have outside patio sitting. Food and service are fabulous. Our lady bartender doesn't know the name, but it was fantastic. Soon will come again with put team of 20 people.

My family and I came early on Thanksgiving and they were originally closed for business until 2:00pm, but the opening manager allowed us to come in early and have some drinks and food at 11:45am. The manager was very nice to let us in early on an holiday and serve us even if they were not open for business yet. The food was great and they offer a great selection of drinks. Would highly recommend this place for excellent service and food.

We headed out for our family dinner to this Texas Roadhouse location, right from seating us to billing us I have to call out the positive, smiling service by Natalie - really stood out. The atmosphere was lovely, luckily not crowded. We tried the cactus blossoms , boneless chicken wings, sirloin steak with baked potato & chili , 23 oz T bone steak and a hot dog along with their signature peach cocktail. All of the food was amazing, the steaks grilled to perfection. The only call out was on the chicken wings , didnt hit the mark but not too bad either . The loaded baked potato was hit. The manager was also amazing and was ensuring high standards of service. Surely a 'will visit again' place.

Great place to bring family to eat at. All the food is wonderful, service is normally outstanding. Lots of country style decor to look at. The cocktails are also really delicious but they can't be taken togo sadly. The best entrees I have had is probably either the ribs or the steak. There is a combination where you can have both but the steak will be a bit smaller.

Last night was our visit to this location. We visit Texas Roadhouse often but this location was top tier. On a busy Saturday night, from the food to the service everything was great! The host were friendly and welcoming. Our sever Bryce was very attentive and provided great customer service. The food was good & fresh and our steaks were cooked to perfection!

Outstanding service and food! Really wanted a new place for a romantic dinner and we found it! Dimly lit, fairly quiet, mellow music, with a nice warm vibe made it exceptional to focus on the person across from you. We made a reservation just in case and they were pretty busy. The 2 top tables were a little small “my only complaint.” Next time I’ll speak up with my request for something a bit bigger and I’m sure they would have granted. Food was exceptional, wonderful flavor. Calamari, the honey hog pizza with spicy honey drizzle was freakin delish. My wife’s steak was cooked to perfection and the server made sure it was as she requested before she leaving our table. Last request, we just moved from Oregon, Y’all need some Del Rio wine from Gold Hill, OR. Your clients won’t be disappointed.

Great, delicious place! The steak was delicious and flavorful as well as the churro ice cream. Our server micheal was great! Anticipating needs friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We came 7:30 on a friday it was pretty crowded and noisy but around 8pm it settled down and was a delightful experience. Will be back!

So, I like this owners restaurants. He knows what he is doing. We had a big group which can make service a little different. But it was still very good. Let's get to it. The meatballs are the app of choice. As for dinner I'd recommend the chicken parm. Also, their wedge salad is solid. We ordered a lot of food. All is good.

Amazing food and fantastic service! This spot may be new, but they’re already knocking it out of the park. The flavors are —definitely worth the wait. Pro tip: let it cool a bit before diving in, and you’re in for a real treat! The staff is super friendly and more than happy to customize your order to perfection. We enjoyed our Saturday night here with our family and friends. All their food were on point and loved everything we ordered. The Indo-Chinese Shrimp Fried Rice had a kick to it but it was delicious! Ttoekbokki and korean fried chicken were made to perfection. Our kiddos enjoyed their meals and the arcade section. The servers were attentive and courteous. And the owners were welcoming, warm and friendly. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time and yummy food!

Rock Pepper Fire is a fantastic spot in Flower Mound! Their fusion Indian-Korean menu is unique and delicious—don’t miss the paneer tandoori sticks, kimchi-loaded fries, or their perfectly crispy Korean fried chicken. The cocktails are incredible too—Prickly Pear Margarita and Tipsy Mermaid were my favorites. The staff is amazing—super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

had dinner in here one evening but unfortunately almost 1/3 of the menu was not available, so we had had to pick a second or third choice to order. the entrees were fairly average, but we did find the cornbread to be some of the best we've ever had.

A lovely space, very attentive and helpful service, and every course was delicious. I had oysters as an appetizer, chicken gizzards over grits as a first course, the pork chop and spätzle as my main, and apple fritters for dessert (not pictured). Every course was fabulous. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Such a great experience with every layer of this restaurant. From the ambience to the service to the selections to the quality and presentation of the farm to table food is outstanding. All food with the exception of the seafood is local from within a 150 mile radius. Seafood is shipped in daily. Menu changes regularly. Unique and flavorful menu options. A wonderful dining experience. Also, impressive wine and cocktail selections. Octopus, frog legs, scallops and halibut were delicious. Crème brûlée was heavenly.

I’m a student at NCTC in Flower Mound and my class in the MSU campus. I’m always open to try different places and the food. I went the first time after a doctors appointment and had their buttermilk pancakes and they surely did not disappoint plus the service was amazing. The last two times I’ve been I had again their pancakes because their so good along with their orange juice. My last time was last week I went to try a different food on the menu and decided to go for their hamburger and French fries they where so good super filling and again the service was amazing. I totally recommend they also have other options if your vegetarian or gluten free.

Cute little brunch spot in Flower Mound! Food was tasty, but could use a bit more seasoning. I love the gluten free options! Once the construction is finished inside I think the atmosphere will be much improved.

As soon as I walked, I was surprised at how nice the interior was. The friendly staff greeted us with a big smile and made us feel at home! Went here for lunch and as you can see, the food portions were quite a lot. The food was fantastic. We had several different entrees and everyone loved the flavor, whether it be spicy or simple like the salad. The only thing i could say negative about any of the food is that the calamari was a little bland, which in normally is but just could use a little work. The sauce helped cover that up. I would absolutely go back and I would recommend if you are in the area!

My wife and I love coming here for a nice relaxing dinner! The service is amazing and always attentive. The food is always fresh and delicious, the chef and owner are nice to talk to as well! We love coming here and will continue to come here!

Absolutely fantastic food and drinks! The espresso martini and pineapple martini are a must-try, and the chicken dish or pasta is beautifully prepared and the tiramisu is simply delicious. It was the perfect setting for a memorable date night—definitely a 5-star experience from start to finish!

Yesterday we had to go to Flower Mound for business, and it was our first visit. It is a lovely city, and we decided to get something to eat before traveling back to our home in a different city. My husband and I enjoy eating out, and I enjoy doing reviews of places we’ve eaten at, and of places we’ve traveled to. We decided to eat at this establishment based on the reviews I read about on Google maps. I leave reviews myself, and so we thought this was a safe bet. I like to find something positive to say about places I review, so I am going to start with that. The waitresses were very pleasant and did a good job, except it was very hard to understand the gal who took our orders because her accent was so thick, and it was so noisy inside the restaurant. There were a lot of people there, but the loudest noises came from clanging pots and dishes in the kitchen; which was quite unpleasant. We couldn’t even have a nice conversation because it was so noisy. When the food came it was barely warm. I ordered Pollo Agave and it was honestly the worst food I have ever eaten. My husband had Juanita, which had enchiladas and a super dry tamale, and his was almost cold. Worse, it gave him heartburn all night. He almost always orders tamales in Mexican restaurants, so it should have been fine. When the waitress asked how our food was my husband told her it was barely warm, and to their credit they did not charge us for his. I didn’t want to make the situation more awkward, so I didn’t tell them about my dish being both cold and terrible so we just paid the bill, brought the food home, and threw it in the trash. There wasn’t any seasoning on my chicken dish, there wasn’t much chicken in it, it looked and tasted like they boiled it in water, and the white sauce was bland, bland, bland; not even salt or pepper. I have never written a review this bad, ever; you can check my previous reviews. I don’t know how the reviews I read about this establishment could be so far off from what we experienced, unless they had a new cook or something. I feel bad saying all of this, but it is the truth. And my husband would be the first to tell you that I am not a picky eater. Unless they correct these issues, do yourself a favor and don’t eat there.

Wonder atmosphere… upscale fee, food is very reasonably priced.. tried baja fried shrimp street style tacos, combo of enchalada and chalupa, mexican pizza from kids menu.. ambience in the patio is too good. Will try again.

We checked out Mi Dia for the first time tonight to celebrate our anniversary and had the most amazing experience. We were fortunate enough to have Sydney as our server and honestly have not had service to that level in a long time. Not only was she extremely patient with us as we digested all of the offerings, she walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. She was also super attentive and just fun and positive. The food itself is next level. Everything tastes super fresh and made with great ingredients. We had three different types of salsa and all were great. The appetizers, entrees, and drinks were all delicious and we didn't have any complaints. We enjoyed the hatch chile queso, costra tacos, sopes de carnitas, and xmas burrito. The environment is open and bright, and the music is loud enough to where you can't hear other conversations but you can still converse at your table. Definitely one of the best dining options in the area and I can't wait to go back!

I decided to stop by Mi Cocina after a long day of work. My goal was to catch up on work emails and finalize plans for the next quarter of business. I have heard that Mi Cocina was a great restaurant but i was skeptical at first if i would be able to follow up on work emails here. Upon entering, the host greeted me immediately and was quick to provide me a table despite how busy they were. I wanted to sit at the bar but it was full, then she informed me they have tables for the bar area. After taking my seat i was able to see how much variety the restaurant provided. The bar was it's own area, sat perfectly between a patio area and the "fine dinning area". All three atmospheres felt separate yet blended together just right. My waitress, Carolina wasted no time getting to me to take my order. Water along with chips and queso was provided almost in sync. Just as quickly as she had left, my margarita had arrived. I ordered a small snack, the nachos and I'm certain that these are the best nachos I've ever had. My waitress along with the rest of the staff provided me with excellent service and i never felt without. Best of all, the music and crowd blended in perfectly. It was lively, yet not distracting. A perfect place for dinner, an after work margarita, or a place to finish your day.

I have been a fan of Mi Cocina for years. I have loved every location I have visited or worked near. I have been ordering from this location in Highland Village recently and I have to share they really go above and beyond in food quality and service. I have not had any alcohol all year due to illness. I’m not a big drinker anyway, but today felt like a day to try a margarita to go with my enchilada dinner. It arrived and is as generous and delicious as it is in the restaurant. Management assured me it traveled well and it was packed perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about this store. It feels nice to be thanked for my business regularly and I have yet to visit in person or call about something when I was not thanked. Please check them out. I assure you it will be a great experience.

The food exceeded my expectations!!! What made the experience 5 stars was the incredible service we received from Abby and Heather! Abby was our server and Heather delivered our food. They both created a wonderful dining experience for us. They checked on us regularly, refilled our beverages, refreshed our cocktails and always smiled. Many times restaurants get the food right, but don’t have great service, ultimately a great meal involves the entire dining experience. The managers were always visible. We will definitely return, great job!!!

Favorite Italian restaurant in the area!! Everything is delicious and handmade. Loved the bruschetta sampler- you get 8 pieces so great for sharing. Drinks are unique and always spot on. Big shout out to Jake our server who was engaging and on top of everything! Cozy ambiance perfect for a date night, girls night or special family dinner. ♥️

Brisket meatballs were good, though don't expect a lot. You get 3 for 12 bucks, but the sauce is delicious. And dip your extra bread in it. Pepperoni pizza was also pleasantly good. Service was really slow though even though we were one of few parties there, and things just seemed to be going wrong in the kitchen that delayed our order.

I live 5 mins away so really wanted to like this place. I’ve come 4 times now. Service is very slow, regularly forget to give bread and we were left sitting 20+ minutes every single time with 0 checks. Food takes a long time to come out and never got water refilled, have to waive down our server every time and point out we have no water left. Ordered a Spicy Vodka Rigatoni but got Penne, doesn’t matter taste wise to me but a little weird. Pizza was burnt, and not just the crust. The Ricotta Bruschetta, which was the only thing i could recommend- has recently downsized, way less bread and Ricotta now. The interior is very beautiful.

I always say, customer service is all about. I have Rita as my server, she was very kind and responsive to my order. Also, she always has smile at her face welcoming all her customers. Food was great, lots of greens, fresh as always. I highly recommend CAVA

Fantastic fast food.... Create your own bowl, pick your base.. pick your proteins, sauces and toppings. Like Chipotle but better. Top that off with friendly faces and we'll continue to drop in weekly! Thanks so much to Alex who even knows our orders when we come in and always takes the time to make sure we're having a good day.

Less than impressed. Food was so salty and smothered in dressing that 3 out of 4 of us threw the food away. We ordered a build your own pita and didn’t realize until too late that the girl behind the counter was making a chicken pita with all the toppings. We just went with it thinking it would be fine. Nope. So much dressing was poured on it was inedible. This was our first and last visit.

I met with some dear friends for a late supper. I don't know if it was the company or the food, but it was a most excellent experience! We ordered wine and meat... The pork chop was incredible. It comes out on a little butcher board. It is amazing. Get it, and experience this yourself. The jalapeno Mac and cheese... Slap your mama good. Potato au gratin with the prime rib, just Devine. We were too full for desert. I will definitely be back to sample more of their delicacies. I highly recommend this establishment!

Exceptional evening at 1845 Taste Texas. The atmosphere was nice - and the restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday evening but the noise level allowed us to easily carry our conversation. The service was attentive without being overwhelming. But the food was the star of the show! I had the seven ounce fillet (cooked to medium rare) and it was the best steak I have had in a long time. The fried jalapeño appetizer was also nice and I loved the pimento cheese (part of the trio). I look forward to coming back soon! Note - there are limited vegetarian options (only the side dishes and salads).

I initially discovered this restaurant on IG. First time we dined here was in March 2023 when we flew into TX to close on our home. After relocating to TX, we became semi-regulars (does dining here once a month count?) We just celebrated our 16th anniversary at 1845. The restaurant has a low light atmosphere but an energetic and vibrant upscale crowd. Parking is self-park or valet. The service is top notch and adds to the camaraderie that permeates throughout the restaurant as soon as you step foot inside and check in at the front of the house. The Pork Belly appetizer with Dr. Pepper glaze is all the commotion and then some, served with fresh baked bread and simply melts in your mouth. The filet mignon I ordered, the prime rib wife ordered and grilled salmon our 8 yo son enjoyed were all cooked to perfection. The drinks were exceptional and if you're too full for dessert, just order a liquid dessert like an espresso martini! See y'all next month!
