Best Restaurants Open for Newyears Eve this year in Edson – 2024

EXCELLENT!!!! From service to food nothing to complain. Beef dip was hot and fresh, and extremely flavourful. Yorkie was so big the wife took half home, although she wanted to finish it was too much. OUTSTANDING. Next time going through Edson this is a must stop.

My mother and I shared an appetizer of calamari before she got the Mediterranean bowl, my sister ordered the Baked Mac and Cheese and I ordered the Vine burger. Everything was delicious and I would definitely recommend!

I go to this chain at many locations. This particular location is always cutting portions and trying to up charge you. It definitely is not being ran up to par with other locations. Very cheap and the chicken always tastes old and hard, so I never get the chicken from this location now.

Chop leaf always has great food, but what happened to the other half. I have been going to Chopped Leaf since they started and I am absolutely disappointed in the half a wrap you get now. Used to be twice as big as now for, and more $. Sad but I’m done

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Clean and spacious. The food was delicious and healthy. We tried their bowl number 5 and loved it. One bowl is good enough for one person

Stopped by for lunch, real good food! We ordered yam fries with fish, and New York steak, all cooked perfectly. Didn't expect this quality on road trip. Services are great, welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!

Our food experience was wonderful. I had the Cobb Salad, and my friend ordered the veal. Both were healthy portions and very well prepared.

Nice and clean atmosphere restaurant. The food was OK, but I found 3 small pieces of fishbone from a fish and chip dish. I told the staff and they said sorry and that's it.

My family and I were very happy with the service that we received. For only one waitress working on her shift, she did so great! We ended up having extra people come, and she was more than willing to make us up a bigger table. The food came relatively fast and was fresh out of the oven. Very fresh and tasty…. Definitely ate too much. The environment is very nice, even though it’s new it looks clean and established. I love the different levels of seating they provide you depending on what sort of dining you plan of doing. The only problem I had.. Is that I don’t live in the area — So unfortunately I won’t be able to come every week.

Great experience and delicious food, fun vibe with the visible pizza oven and large bar area. Very clean. Lots of room.

The Beef Dip is absolutely amazing! The perfect ratio of soft yet strong bun to meat to sauce. It's the second time I've had it here and it's the second time I've loved it. Paired it nicely with the mashed potatoes and gravy and garlic asparagus. Also the atmosphere and service are always great.

Best place to hang out if you like to be treated with disrespect ,if you like being served warm ,stale beer, burned food and love feeling like you are being scammed or if you just want to see the servers juggling and putting up a show refiling the condiments ...

I tried butter chicken with rice dish. It was good.

Cozy clean place,service was promp for a half full place,the rolls had imagination, flavor was not quite their,not that it was off their was little,the chop chop rolls were soft alot of mayo and a little scallop was chopped to fine hardly tasting it at all,not too sure if rice was too cold or it was a value brand as it didn't hold firm as it should.the main ingredients here seemed tobe imitation crab ,battered deep fried bought shrimp cucumber and avocado the rice or rolls need to be cut 100%not 98% also not stuck on serving tray, in my opinion they are on the right track but far from a top notch.in the end it was a value brand at a slight better than value price. Maybe in a year if open, I might try again.

EXCEPTIONAL! This is place offers clean fresh and delicious food! It’s a little more expensive than places in the city but we are in Edson, so you get what you pay for! And here - it’s an amazing experience and delicious food!

Neko Sushi has a great selection of Korean and Japanese dishes on their menu and their staff are friendly and attentive staff. Would recommend the chicken karaage and the ocean dream roll!

This is one of our favourite restaurants, especially to celebrate special occasions or events! The food is mindblowing, the steaks are cooked perfectly, the seasonings are simple but mouthwatering, and the rest of their menu seems to be about the same. Delicious all the way down to the simple things, like their house starter bread or Mac n cheese. I’d also like to mention, their escargot stuffed mushroom almost made me weep with joy. The wait staff are so friendly, you can tell they actually enjoy working there, unlike some places where the staff seem just as in a rush to leave as the customer. It’s a very clean building, a super easy to find location; I highly recommend. Be aware it’s a little pricey though!

We had the New York steaks. Everything was delicious - only tweak would be my husband had a thinner garlic bread and mine was thicker & less garlic butter. Plain bread still tasted really good Service was impeccable - our gentleman server was outstanding

Great restaurant and best building! Food is excellent, service is amazing, knowledge of gluten-free and dietary restrictions is great as well!! I have the Chickens Slouvlaki with Greek salad. It was excellent! we also order gluten-free pizza and kids pizza and the kiddos. Love those as well. I tried one piece of pizza and it is very good for sure!! Not sure if the crust is made in house, but if it is, they do an awesome job of it!!

They are doing this right!! Great Food Selection, each of us 3 ladies had something different and all were pleased with our choices. Nice selection of interesting brew combos. Very friendly owners and team service. Highly recommend! My God this place will be fun in the summer!

So happy to finally have an awesome brewpub in town! No more driving an hour to Folding Mountain to get some good beer and food! Great selection of beer with a solid foundational line up of easy drinkers (Lager, Wheat, Blond) with some more seasonal fun beers to try with a Hazy IPA, a Key Lime Gose, and a Mango Habanero beer that is absolutely wild and will knock your socks off! Had the crispy buffalo chicken burger with fries which comes with a huge tender piece of chicken but the dill coleslaw is the secret weapon that brings this to the next level. So good! Service was great! Atmosphere and decor are nice! Planning on having this be our new go to place for visiting friends and family!

Mcleod River Brewing company is a MUST STOP place in Edson Alberta it's a renovated church with a really cool vibe ,in house brews . Very tasty .food goes beyond good and prices are fair Staff awesome ... If your on highway 16 going through Edson .. don't stop for normal food chain fast food have real food and leave happy 12 out of 10

The Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger was freshly made and huge and tasted delicious !!!! Also ordered the deep fried mushrooms and they were great as well. Highly recommend the food here.

They are never open when they say they are multiple times it says they close at 8pm but are close by 6:30-7pm if not earlier very upset about this service food is very good thought

Amazing food. My favorite are the popcorn chicken and the fried pickles. They also have amazing service and people. Highly recommend. Would definitely go again.

A good place. The place has a really nice patio. The food is excellent and cooked really well and there is a great selection of beer. The place offers both are bar room and a dining room so minors are allowed to dine. Would definitely come back

They food 90% of the time is consistent and great. Bit high priced. But you do get your money worth. Great portions. Not very long wait times. Service is really good. Deep fried food is good clean fryer taste as well as home made. Ive had Alot of options off the menu. With all kinds of flavour. Good little atmosphere , plenty of seating. Clean washrooms / building. Tvs with sports , pool table , slots , good parking , patio. Hotel guest next door. Get a little discount as well. Honestly drop by check it out. I placed a pick up order today and am very picky with Chinese food. This place absolutely CRUSHED every other place I've tried, anywhere! Pricing is amazing, everything tastes phenomenal. The atmosphere inside their restaurant is calming and relaxing. Definitely recommend.

Delicious combos. Ginger beef and sweet and sour pork are crispy and very well done. Spring rolls are meaty and tasty. Will be back for sure.

Beef Chop Suey was my choice . The beef wasn't on the menu but asked if I could have it. No rice was served with this meal and there should been there was a lot of sauce. So ordered a bowl of rice. It was a little sweet to my liking enjoyed the vegetables. CoolBeans

Great location attached to a hotel, unfortunately due to having VLTs you won't be able to bring your kids here. I had the fish and chip which was the daily deal and it came out very nicely done. Light crisp batter, lots of meat, and good flavourful, hot gravy for the chips. The service was great as well as we sat at the bar. My buddy and I stopped in on our way home from hunting further west. I would say the majority of the clientele here are locals from what I could see, and I don't think there are too many other choices in Edson. However the place was clean, food was good, and the service was great! What more could you ask for? Would definitely stop in again on my way through!

Stopped here with my mom on our way back from Jasper. The service was above par and the owner Sam was super friendly and checked with us that the food was good. We had the regular beef donair and onion rings. Picture is with medium size onion rings. Serving sizes were big. The donair was amazing and definitely hit the spot. We watched them prepare everything with fresh ingredients. I was beyond impressed with everything and if I'm in the area again this will be a definite stop! Thank you Sam and staff for a delicious meal served with friendly service!

We look forward to stopping for supper or lunch here faithfully everytime we drive through from Edmonton. We’ve tried multiple donairs and in our opinion Donair Zones are the best! The owner and his family are extremely inviting and friendly and the service is exceptional and the portions are generous. If you love donairs, fries or onions rings we highly recommend Donair Zone in Edson.

Travelers (and locals) don’t miss this spot. We were traveling from BC and in desperate need of tasty food after too much fast food. We love Donair and shawarma and have high standards from. Not only did they deliver on absolutely delicious food but the service was also superb and the restaurant was lovely and clean. The food also came out super fast so we got quick and delicious!! Thank you so much!!

I came in for a late lunch and ordered the daily combination plate, which was pricier than combos at many similar restaurants but also better quality and plenty large. My only substantial critique is that the fried rice was bland, I like mine with some green onion, garlic, fish sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, etc... the real deal. But the pork, and ginger beef were top notch. The Coconut Tree has just moved to a new location, it's nice. I like the quaintness of the previous location down the street but this is nonetheless an improvement.

They have 3 specific vegetarian items (the veg noodle soup is in fact veg broth and they have a non-fish sauce for the vermicelli bowls) on the menu but the server told me there's lots of other things they can make veg e.g. chow mein, yellow curry etc. She was overall very friendly and the whole experience was great. Food came out quick, too. I'd love to eat there again on my way through town.

The new location is wonderfull, warm and bright. The staff and owner are wonderfull people. We had a wonderfull conversation about Vietnam where I live now and talked about various places in and around Vung Tau. The food is is tasty and plentyfull servings.

I went in for a takeout. I guess the first clue I should not be here was the fact that the lunch buffet spread was getting cold and there was only 1 customer. The wor wonton soup looked just as bad as it tasted. It tasted like salted water with noodles, some sort of off coloured meat and the wonton I can’t even begin to guess what was in it. I had to throw it away after seeing inside one of those wonton. The sweet and sour port was toughest pork meat i have had. It definitely gave my jaws a run for my money. I will never ever go or recommend this place. The most horrible food and worst customer service. Owners are quick to argue and won't fix their mistakes. Move on you are no resteraunt owners. I also just read about my review to you. You are a liar. I never had the ginger beef. So I'm not sure of what your talking about. And in the past month there has never been 10 people in your restaurant due to the owners attitude and the disgusting food. Remember the customer is always right and if we're all saying your attitude stinks and your food is bad. Then if I were you I would change my attitude and get a better cook. End of story.

This place used to set the bar for Chinese food. It was always fresh, crispy and tasty. Just ate there tonight.... dried out, soggy and old food. Literally COULD NOT cut the pork, shrimp were cold and chewy just for starters....The two dishes they did refill, they didn't even change out the container! Just dumped the new stuff on the old stuff. The bathrooms and the room leading to them can't have been cleaned for a long time. The smell of sewer in the bathroom and the torn celephane over the drain made me gag. We thought it was strange that at 6pm what used to be a busy place, was almost empty...... Such a shame.
